Tarot Readings for You for August 15, 2014 Friday(c)

Guidance   Our study is, one, the difficulty of keeping things on an even keel and, two, how when you get everything going along just great, up pops the disturber of the peace. How some people’s expectation of an easy life obstructs yours. How it’s difficult to establish good habits, and how no good deed goes unpunished. We suggest you may as well get used to cussed things instead of letting them get to you, but we also suggest the practice of peace despite all this. Yes, we point out how pressures like this occur at work where our responses are constrained. Could you be one of those people who thrives on pressure, and even on stress?

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined three pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these three cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONS is a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the three cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Seven of Wands – Eight of Pentacles – Ace of Cups

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

……………….……………………   ‘Stories, stories, stories,’ this spread says before you even take a good look. You have Seven of Wands, you have stories; Eight of Pentacles is a definite action card; Ace of Cups has several meanings that blend with just about any theme.

………………………..   Seven of Wands is conflict, different aspects of conflict. Its main trunk is, first, defending yourself against intrusion (or in combat). This trunk brings in the pushy, mouthy, demanding (and probably ‘entitled’) person: the pest. Its other trunk is the ‘I’m mad as hell and won’t take it anymore’ situation and standing up for your rights, or what you believe in … or to protect yourself from the mugger.

………………………..   Eight of Pentacles  is a consistent routine today. ‘Consistent’ comes into its purview by way of the hammering he is doing. (Ever heard a professional carpenter hammer?) Routine comes by way he is making one identical object after another. This is the main work card, and it means workingman – therefore common man. Eight of Pentacles slips into ‘minding your own business in its present company of the disturber of the peace, Seven of Wands, to the left, and peace – Ace of Cups – to the right.

………………………..   Ace of Cups is abundant health of the whole person – body, mind and spirit – is peace. First, here is the underlying meaning of Ace of Cups: Its picture illustrates connecting to Holy Spirit and channeling peace and goodness to mass consciousness of humans. How? Well, the dove (and I think the ‘W’) is Holy Spirit; the dove has the wafer of communion with God in its beak; the five flows out of the fountain represent the five senses or the Middle Ages ‘five humors’ (body fluids) which have been affected by what is above them; and they flow into the ocean, which of course is mass consciousness.

………………………..   Applying the underlying meaning of Ace of Cups’ illustration, this Rider Waite Tarot card means love and loved one, unconditional love, peace, cooperation, going with the flow, good and goodness, ethics and ethical, no harm, benefits and beneficial and blessings, ease and easy, health and healing, innocence, allowing or letting or letting it be, accept or being accepted, happens naturally without trying or without effort, enjoying or liking, God and the presence of God, relax, agree, and warm fuzzy stuff.

……………….……….   Seven of Wands and Eight of Pentacles   Here’s your disruptive person in the workplace, since Seven of Wands is the in-your-face fellow and Eight of Pentacles is work and the work site. These are also one interruption after another since Eight of Pentacles is repetitive actions (the carpenter hammering).

………..……….……….   Seven of Wands and Ace of Cups  And here we have a vivid picture of the lover who is a pest, the one that sends ten texts when you are in the bathroom, you know? Ace of Cups is love and lover; it is also peace and enjoyment. So that makes Seven of Wands and Ace of Cups also say ‘disturbing the peace’ and ‘I enjoy pressure.’ These two also describe resisting being in love … ‘Oh no, that that!’

…….……….……….…   Eight of Pentacles and Ace of Cups   Eight of Pentacles translates ‘keeps being’ and ‘keeps doing.’ It is habit, work and workplace, and a routine too. And Ace of Cups, is loving, affectionate, getting along, enjoying, peace, good health, spirituality, enjoyment, and the easy way. Put these phrases together and you have: keeps loving, keeps being affectionate, getting along at work, enjoy work, peaceful workplace, good health habits, spiritual work, enjoying a routine, and doing things the easy way.

After reading all this, you probably (as I) have a private resolve not to waste time on pests, not to be distracted by interruptions, and to keep the peace in your life for your own sake regardless of the lower life forms out there.

Seven of Wands ………  Seven of Wands is conflict, different aspects of conflict. Sometimes there is a thin line between standing up for yourself and being a pest, which explains the double meaning of Seven of Wands.

.

Eight of Pentacles …………. Meanings arise precisely from the picture in Eight of Pentacles. He is hammering, which makes for repetitive action, consistently doing or being. He makes one identical object after another, which is a routine. A carpenter is at his work bench, which makes worker, employee, labor, workingman, working class – the common man. Today, his Tarot mates bring him to minding his own business.

.

Ace of Cups ………. is soundness, being in good shape, being beneficial and harmless to your surroundings, feeling good and being in good health, feeling peace and bringing peace to your world. It is love, being in love, lover, unconditional love. It is letting things be, easing up, feeling at ease. It represents this spectrum of emotion and fact through the concept of being in contact with divinity and passing that contact on to whoever and whatever is around you wherever you are.

Tarot Readings for You for August 11, 2014 Monday(c)

Guidance      It’s like a steady drip-drip that drives you crazy. Developing good habits is an effort, but we just wake up with the bad ones, don’t we? Today we have a list of all sorts of things we push ourselves to pursue, do, or avoid – things that drive us crazy, pressure, and stressful jobs. We admit that once you get in the groove of a high pressure atmosphere, it’s a lot easier. A suggestion: Handle open opposition by just agreeing. Someone who’s got to be doing something all the time says “I hate this peace and quiet.” It’s not all sane, of course: “It’s too much trouble being good,” we wail, and “God keeps getting in my way.”

……….……………………  These say “The easy way, the hard way, or the usual way?” and “I keep trying to make peace with the wild man.” They say a lot of seemingly unrelated things. Here’s how that goes:

………………………..   Seven of Wands is a struggle, an uphill battle, a fight against the odds. It is also going berserk.

………….…………..  But Ace of Cups is the easy way. Relaxed.

……………….…………..     In between these two direct opposites is routine, the same thing over and over. Hmmm.

……………….……….Eight of Pentacles and Ace of Cups is getting along at work, steady love relationship, always being cooperative, being relaxed habitually, and maintaining your health: the habitual peacemaker.

……….……….……….   Seven of Wands and Eight of Pentacles is not getting along at work, being antagonistic, refusing to do the normal things, and being habitually in attack mode in a defensive way: the habitual hellraiser.

Today is about disruptions. You can let things get to you that, yes, drive anyone bonkers … but what’s in it for you? – what’s the use? If I keep my head down and concentrate on what I am getting done, I will get more done (at least in the instances we cover here). We point out it’s a waste of our good time to clash with a wild person who is going to be around us being an ass. We are suggesting scenarios in which it is advantageous to let an ass be an ass.

.

Seven of Wands……… His neighbors come against him to take his homestead, and he is fighting them for what is rightfully his. He is presumed to win (Mammals who own the turf have that advantage in the wild). Seven of Wands covers both sides of this sort of struggle, as well as covering the mouthy pest’s demands. So defending yourself, feeling defensive, standing up for what you believe are your rights, are all angles this Seven of Wands illustrates.

.

Eight of Pentacles…………. You see the carpenter making one identical object after the other with his hammer and chisel. He is a worker, he is at a work site, he is persistent and consistent in his efforts. His work is a habit, a routine he maintains, and he is a workingman. These are all meanings this illustration covers.

.

Ace of Cups………. You see the flow of the fountain into the ocean, and the fountain in someone’s hand. You see the dove (represents Holy Spirit) and the wafer (of the Christian communion ceremony). Those five streams can be the Middle Ages ‘five humors’ or the modern ‘five senses.’ Ace of Cups represents a human’s channeling the presence of God to mass consciousness. It represents cooperation, flow, health, being good, ease and easy, relaxing, God, God’s presence, being godly, benefit, no harm … anything good, really. Although this is a Roman Catholic oriented card, it is not so religious, like Hierophant, but more spiritual.

Advice is about wielding the kind of influence,  having the kind of air about yourself,  that nips opposition in the bud.  She can handle anything,  she pets lions who want to eat her.  A spiritual adept is seldom opposed face-on in ‘the real world’  in the same way that a gorgeous sexy woman tends to get her way no matter how a fellow fights the influence.  But there are people that this drives crazy and they mouth off.

===========================================================================

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

The Question for weekdays is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.”

The Question for weekends is stated right on top on those days, if there is one.

*Go to Advice to apply what those sentences say for you. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.) Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

We have two women who are ‘winners’  in different ways.  Empress is sitting pretty,  has got it made,  is gorgeous,  is comfortable,  relaxed (‘laid back’),  life is easy and things are easy for her.  (Well of course they are:  She is the fertility goddess.) Strength is skilled at influencing,  particularly influencing whatever would get in her way.  She defuses conflict while it is still a spark in the eye of the predator.

Right in the middle of these two dames,  who do we have?  The mouthy pushy Seven of Wands teenybopper hellraiser,  the guy who feels his turf is intruded upon.  He’s mad as hell and won’t take it anymore,  whatever it is.  Then comes Eight of Pentacles saying this happens all the time and/or is happening at work.  This story has latitude,  can spread out.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT

CARDS

Empress is the stereotype of the laid-back southern white trash barfly (and I mean that in a nice way) who calls all the guys ‘honey.’  She could be the barkeep,  too.  As the fertility goddess,  she can be the ideal woman or on the slutty side,  or both.  She is spoiled,  is living the rich life of leisurely luxury there on her many cushions.  ‘The blond goddess,’  Leonard Cohen says in one of his wonderful songs.

Seven of Wands is the stereotypical pushy loudmouth anything.  He doth protest.  It also means to defend yourself,  you are under some sort of attack,  and the fight is against the odds for you to win … but you will.  This is a teenager of any age.  This is the ‘in your face’  person.  In Tarot Verbatim™  the action and the person are interchangeable,  so it can be any part of this experience.  It can be you who is mad as hell and not going to take it anymore.  Pictured is a fellow defending his position for all he’s worth against several neighbors.

Strength is the person who has ‘the touch,’  has the skill to shut down opposition before it is raised.  The symbols on this Rider Waite Tarot card indicate a spiritually skilled person influences the environment in such a way that opposition does not occur ‘in the real world.’  So Seven of Wands is up against his master.  That lion is not purring because he wants to,  he is purring because he has to.

Eight of Pentacles shows up a lot,  doesn’t he?  This means it happens over and over,  and/or it happens at work.  That carpenter is at his work bench making the same object over and over.

Our Daily Spread for August 2, 2011 Tuesday (C)

Advice today is all about realizing what we have been doing that is counterproductive – that awareness of the downside we all have had wash over us like a shadow. The eureka realization that it’s not working, that this effort is truly in vain and we are going to lose the struggle if we persist. And realizing what we should do to counter the loss.

===================================================================================

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below. At least one of those sentences has something to say to you. Pick those out. They are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)

*Go to Advice to apply what those sentences say (in the best way) for you. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.) Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow.

The Question for weekdays is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them. The Question for weekends is stated right on top on those days. (Some days are ‘keep an eye open for’ and some days are ‘green light, go fast.’)

Well, we seem to be on the subject of fighting and resisting things, don’t we? The first Rider Waite Tarot card here, Five of Cups, is to lose; the second, Seven of Wands, is to battle or resist or fight against; the third, Eight of Pentacles, is work or keep doing something; and the last, Hanged Man, is a eureka realization or psychic impression. So our message today is about finding what does not work.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Five of Cups is those times when we are fixated on disappointment, when it did not turn out the way it should have, and we are not focusing on going ahead with our lives. Spilled wine is the illustration on the card. Our person-in-mourning is oblivious to the full cups. We have all been there.

Seven of Wands is another battle/resistance/stand up against card. It can also be the mouthy teenager type person. Raising hell. It is about a concerted effort, about trying against the odds, resisting pressure. Illustration is a fellow defending his property against some neighbors who want to push him off of it.

Eight of Pentacles is the job, work, persistent effort. We see the carpenter dutifully making one after another identical objects at his bench.

Hanged Man is realization, psychic impression, knowing, thoughts, inspiration, idea or ideas that strike. It depicts the feeling you get when something you ‘already knew’ takes on another dimension. You feel upside-down, you feel the energy in your head.

Tarot Reading for Winter Solstice

Tarot Spread for Winter Solstice

Eight of Penticles

Wheel of Fortune, Seven of Wands, King of Swords

At work, it pays off to hold your ground, to stand up and be assertive with a man who has authority. He keeps pushing – stands up like a man – and it happens for the best. The man keeps pushing you away, but it’s going to happen in a wonderful way. The manly man has one lucky event after another when he exerts himself. He pushes himself on the job and it really pays off big. This is the job that is your big break – give it everything you’ve got – with the interview.
