Your mother feels like her husband’s got another woman – very similar indignation. However, she can relate to the relationship you are enjoying because she remembers those sweet days. Five of Cups describes the melancholy sense of loss. And note how many negative cards are used that express ‘No, no, it’s not’ … along with cards that describe him being good to you.

Also, the pair of cards that mean three people engaged in something together (a triangle) appear in this reading: Three of Pentacles and Three of Cups.

Tarot Readings for You for June 22, 2014 Sunday(c)

Guidance       It’s baaack!  Repeating patterns remind me to analyze the situation, because … what did I do back then?  What worked?  How do I apply that and deal with this new situation?  He or she is JUST LIKE the him or her was back then.  You should know professional counselors apply this as a problem-solving technique for their clients.  Save yourself the money and Do It Yourself!  The role of the past in the present is our study … including the way nostalgia suggests all was well in the good old days.  Well, that is because we already handled the issues from back then.  That’s why they are the good old days!

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages.  HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONS  is a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Seven of Wands – Six of Cups – Strength

.

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

………….…………..    Six of Cups Well, well. In the middle – Six of Cups, Little Boy Giving Little Girl Flowers – we have the sweet life and the past – and children or childhood too.

……..………………………...   Seven of Wands and Strength To the left and to the right are two cards, Seven of Wands and Strength, that exemplify a power struggle, and their interplay dovetails interestingly. Remember that the action that is pictured in each Tarot illustration can apply in either way (or all ways).

……..…….………..    Seven of Wands Seven of Wands shows a person who is confronted, intruded upon, accused or attacked, a person who ‘can’t take it any more’ – it’s getting to him. He is a guy, but the action can apply to anyone.

………….………...  Strength Strength, on the other hand, is also under attack by a predatory interest (the lion of course) but she is finessing the situation – she is handling that lion and taming its opposition … making it purr.

……..…………………………     Seven of Wands and Strength Seven of Wands and Strength together depict scenes in romance – especially with Six of Cups (Little Boy Gives Little Girl Flowers, romance) in between them. They depict a woman being pushed around by a rude fellow, and they depict a fellow defending himself from a strong or pushy woman’s influence or actions. You could say she has him ‘under her thumb’ or ‘wrapped around her little finger,’ especially since the illustration shows her hands upon the lion. You could also say her guy is in her face with accusations to control her, and she is dealing with that. You could even say BOTH!

……..…………………………   Seven of Wands and Strength Seven of Wands can’t handle this, ‘can’t take it any more’; Strength can handle anything. Seven of wands is confronted and in defensive mode; Strength resolves the issue or sees it coming and prevents it. Seven of Wands, it drives me crazy; Strength, I finesse it with aplomb. [‘Aplomb’ is a marvelous word. Look it up and perhaps adopt it if it is new to you.] The interplay I spoke of.

…..……………..…..……………..      Taking the situation out of romance – because, after all, Six of Cups means other things too – like the past, childhood, nostalgia – we have several stories about defending yourself against others’ influence or assertion. And we have several other stories about disciplining an intrusive person (or handling the intrusion).

……..………………………….     Six of Cups and Strength Six of Cups and Strength immediately lends itself to disciplining children, as well as resolving childhood issues.

….…..………………………. Seven of Wands and Six of Cups Seven of Wands and Six of Cups is being confronted by childhood, is living down your past … maybe a desperate attempt to do so.

……..………………………….   Six of Cups and Strength Six of Cups and Strength are about disciplining children too. See how disciplining children and the intrusive influence of childhood are expressed the same way in Tarot Verbatim™?

So our theme today is the influence of the past as it intrudes upon today. A recurring theme is “You have already handled this.” Did you know a major advice counselors give people who are confronted with something overwhelming is just that: “You handled this sometime in the past. What did you do then?”

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

Seven of Wands ……….      Seven of Wands is about intrusion, trespass, a pushy person, rude people, and fighting for what’s yours – fighting against the odds but you win. It is also being that pushy person. It can me ‘I’m mad as hell and I won’t take it anymore’ or it can be ‘Gimme the car keys.’ The surrounding cards tell you whether it is defensive or aggressive this time. Entitlement is another of its themes.

.

Six of Cups ………….   Romance, sweetness, a cozy home, comfortable home life, children, real estate (cottage, old home, quaint place), being good and being good to someone, children or child, a gift: All of these arise from the picture of the little boy giving the little girl flowers.

.

Strength……….    Preventing opposition by being the kind of person who can handle it deftly is what Strength is all about. When you have resolved conflicts within your own character, and/or when you have figured out the perfect squelch to a situation, conflict does not arise as you go about your business. The mugger looks for an easier target, and the bad spirit considers you an honorary predator. Inner strength makes for outer strength.

Tarot Readings for You for January 31, 2014 Friday©

Guidance     I am fair to fellow-beings because of experiences of the past that I faced and got out of to live again. The past is back there – both the past that upsets me and the past that I am sentimental about. Be careful on your way out because where you are going may be the next place you put behind you. Most of my good memories are where I treated others well, whether they treated me that way or not: Being right feels good … when you don’t have to be defensive about the past because you are, well, innocent.

Tarot Verbatim: Romantic Exchanges (Six of Pentacles and Six of Cups)

Moving away to live with someone you love is such an effort but is worth it.

I am avoiding the challenge of being in love until I can do it right.

Left a good-paying job because love made me do it.

Insists he loves you but isn’t there when it’s time to pay up.

He protests that you left him behind when he was treating you right and loved you.

He insists “A guy either pays his girl’s share or you just don’t go out.”

We make every effort, we go out of our way, to treat one another lovingly.

We go out of our way to insist a loved one is right.

He caught it from his girl friend and he is still struggling, not over it yet.

Tarot Verbatim: Romance is Over (Six of Swords and Six of Cups)

When a romance is over, we insist we were in the right (no matter what).

We had a wonderful love affair ‘way back when, but now that I have moved on, it’s a struggle to have a fair-and-square exchange.

Being in love just isn’t worth the effort anymore.

No more love! That’s it! It’s not fair! I’m done with it!

I wasn’t ready for that love affair, never got it right, so I left.

When love puts you through hell, you leave when it isn’t worth it anymore.

If you just can’t get yourself to treat a loved one right, it’s time to get out of this picture.

Treat your old lover right because the next one could be worse after you leave.

Trying to leave and have a romance with him/her, but money is in the way.

Tarot Readings: Standing Up for What Is Right (Six of Pentacles and Seven of Wands)

Have not paid, not paying, and not going to pay.

Protests the phasing out of what is right and the way things have always been.

Standing up for what is right for the children to have a better life than this.

Tarot Readings: Legal re Children (Six of Pentacles and Six of Cups)

Defending himself in court about a long-ago romance he put behind him.

Defending a juvenile court action is something to avoid.

He quits protesting his innocence in a court of law.

Protesting paying an old fine that you avoided a while ago.

He was forced out of his home by legal action. Better times ahead.

He protests in court that he was gone away then and the child isn’t his.

He left and is adamantly refusing to pay child support.

The deceased was vehement about bequeathing to his children.

Tarot Readings: Home and the Bills (Six of Pentacles and Six of Cups)

The pressure of the expenses of the old house is a thing of the past.

Moving out of your old home, you are faced with expenses.

When you can’t pay the upkeep of the old house, you leave it.

Tarot Readings: Avoid Having Children (Six of Swords and Six of Cups)

No way to avoid paying for a baby.

Forced to delay having children because of the expenses.

No way to get out of having children, it’s the right thing.

Miscellaneous Tarot Readings

The kid got mad and left because he was being treated like a kid.

Not a kid anymore but not ready to pay dues, either.

Putting your sweet old-fashioned self behind, to collect what is yours confrontationally.

Six of Swords Leaving the scene, leaving anything behind, getting over it, phasing out, something is over with … anymore.  The mood of this card is the future is better because you have run out of bad luck in the past.  It tells you things are as bad as they are going to get at whatever point in the story it refers to.  Illustration is refugees leaving a place with the clothes on their backs, with the aid of someone who has a crude boat. Six of Swords is hopeful and depressing at the same time.

Six of Pentacles shows people getting paid fairly for what they did. The boss is weighing coins to make sure of that. The scales refer to justice meanings for this Rider Waite Tarot card, at least in Tarot Verbatim ™. Receiving and paying money, attention, respect, one’s due … anything. Receiving and spreading germs too Not to mention getting what (we) deserve!

Seven of Wands Mad as hell and isn’t going to take it any more.  Struggle, protest, defending, mouthing off on the soapbox, teenage attitude, pushy person, fighting against – illustrated by a fellow roused from bed to defend his land from neighbors who outnumber him and aim to take it.  There’s an assumption he will win against the odds.   He is upset.  Seven of Wands refers to being in the states aforementioned; the threat does not have to be a fact, nor does it have to be about a male person.

Six of Cups Oh, home sweet home.  Old-fashioned.  Old love, old love affair.  Old memories.  Sweetness.  Innocence.  A home, especially a cozy one.  Babies and children.  Being a child or childish.  Values.  Your sweetie.  Your childhood sweetheart.  Little Boy gives Little Girl flowers in front of an old castle or apartment building, the illustration being rendered with curved lines and in soft shades.

This is just extra: I thought it was nice and clear:

Tarot reading 1-22-11

He marries his sweetheart no matter what gets in the way

Page of Pentacles
Seven of Wands, Six of Cups, High Priestess

When he thinks of committing to his sweetheart, he resists.
He is in love, he is committed, and he is not ready for this.
He is in love as he should be, defending his sweetheart.
His struggle to give her what he should.
Personally, he does NOT want to be friends with lawyers.
He protests in court about what he has to give his children.
He knows what a struggle his kids have just to be normal.
He protests that he is being fair to the children.
His childhood struggles give him the idea to be fair.
His childhood struggles are what made him a lawyer.
His thinking is correct to be against giving the kids that.

The Seven of Wands is one of those cards that: The illustration says it all. Protest. Struggle. Not let. Pushy. No way! Doesn’t want. The next card is about romance, sweetness, children, giving. Then the Justice card which is obvious, and which means ‘should’ and anything to do with courts or with people who are associated with the justice system: judges, lawyers, police – anyone. The last card is ‘thinking,’ self, ‘he,’ ‘his,’ opinion, concept, identity, ‘the thought,’ etc. They go together in the ways I have listed above, and in ways you can imagine further.

Note: Due to some computer problems this post is very late. It would however, in hindsight, be very interesting to see how your day has gone and if any of the possibilities applied to you or someone you know.  — Stef
