Tarot Readings for You for July 2, 2015 Thursday©

GUIDANCE      I wonder how those people who have the deft touch when it comes to dispute settling get where they are. It’s not a natural talent: Ever met a kid who had a gift for making win-win deals? Like everything, The Art of the Deal comes through experience plus insight – probably with natural talent too. You are in one conflict after another … because that is what life is made of … and eventually you arrive at the place that everybody is happy your idea won out, and most of the people who interfere with you become your buddies and admirers when you finesse the trespass.

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

                  LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.………..………. .……..…….. A clear-cut story is here. In the center, Five of Wands is conflict, fight, clash, quarrel – and energy and involvement too. To Five of Wands’ left is Strength, who finesses conflict, who deftly handles intrusions and nips opposition in the bud through her level of maturity, her spiritual expertise. To Five of Wands’ right is Six of Swords: the waning influence, leaving the scene, not anymore, and life is going to be better from now on. Yeah: stories.

Strength……. Strength tames the beast. Strength ahead of time prevents opposition, and makes the foe or intruder happy to be handled by her. The lion, there, is purring – not that he wants to – and her hands on his snout and jaw are stifling the roar. A spiritual adept naturally repels trouble and troublemakers the same way a martial artist repels muggers. The process is simple: Being ready for the scene, and being able to not only handle it, but handle it without getting dirty.

Note that Strength is about preventing or quashing a fight, and together Five of Wands and Six of Swords say there’s no fight anymore.

The sideways ‘8’ is a math sign for infinitely repeating series of numbers (like for the one-third fraction’s decimal equivalent, .333 and on forever). For you word buffs, it’s a lemniscate. It signifies ‘This person lives in infinity or eternity.’ Other symbols of spiritual rank, strength and expertise for Strength are the white robe and the flowers on it.

So Strength is about spiritual overcoming. That applies, in the practical application of this card, not only to overcoming opposition and intrusion and interference, but also to overcoming one’s internal issues, vices and habits.

Five of Wands.…….Five of Wands is obviously – looking at the picture – about conflict, fighting, competition, heavy physical activity (exercise, sports, trying hard, putting a lot of energy into what you are doing) resisting, being against or opposing. Five fellows are wielding logs, sparring with them. Intense involvement is one of its applications that isn’t about conflict. Note that physical activity is only part of its application: Just being opposed will call for Five of Wands.

.

Six of Swords……...Six of Swords is getting over it, getting out, putting it behind, and ‘not anymore.’ It signifies an improvement – usually an improvement in a difficult situation. It is avoiding, evading, leaving a scene, and life goes on. Six of Swords is very flexible. Remember, its focus can be upon the getting out, or on the journey or process of getting out, or on the arriving at a better scene. Things are better ‘over there’ because they are awful ‘over here.’

You see what we presume is a mother and child huddled in a shallow paddle boat under the gray sky of twilight or dawn, leaving with no cargo, with the help of a friend who is paddling for them.

Six of Swords can be about travel, travel ‘over water,’ travel overseas, or a journey in consciousness. It can also be ‘the dear departed,’ the sadness of being left behind by someone who has gone on.

.……….. Both Strength and Six of Swords are avoiding a bad scene. Strength is handling some trouble preventatively. Six of Swords is leaving the bad scene as a survivor, escaping it. Both these cards say things are, or are going to be, okay.

.

.

You live and learn. And if you live enough and learn enough, you are adept at getting along without disruptions to your progress. With enough life experience, and enough insight, you see farther down the road where the potholes are, and avoid that route. Someone looking for a fight, obviously? – you sense why – what the payoff would be to them – and you remove the payoff in some subtle remark or act, long before you come to the intersection.

.

Tarot Readings for You for March 24, 2015 Tuesday©

GUIDANCE      It’s a curious thought that the struggles we have regarding self-control do parallel the struggles we have taming our circumstances externally. Nip opposition in the bud … same process of getting myself to quit doing that, whatever ‘that’ is. Working it out within, and getting people to work it out, we further posit, has parallel to working out – to physical exercise.

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined meanings of the three cards in the pictures in the Tarot Readings.  It explains how these cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONS is a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – than a personal reading would give you. Also, pronouns are flexible: If the sentence feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ but you’re a ‘she,’ well, it’s yours.

*AND if you write names of any two cards into the Google search bar, it will give you meanings of those!

Strength – Two of Pentacles – Five of Wands

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

………………………     There’s no way we are talking about anything but ongoing struggles, fighting, and overcoming here, with Strength – overcoming opposition and finessing circumstances – and Five of Wands, the fight, the struggle, expending energy. Both Strength and Five of Wands involve opposition and a fight. Note that both Strength and Two of Pentacles have the math sign for repeating decimals, the eternity symbol. Two of Pentacles says ‘one after the other,’ ‘ongoing,’ or ‘constant,’ and spinning, full swing, shaking (and other such motion words), and trying. Two of Pentacles and Five of Wands says ‘trying hard’ as well as ‘one fight after the other.’ Strength and Five of Wands is overcoming opposition, and a big effort to control something – even yourself.

………………………..    Strength is the adept or spiritual person who quashes opposition, and Strength is getting control of your own dark side, habits or vices. Strength is making yourself, or making other(s) behave. Its deeper meaning in Tarot Verbatim™ illustrates the fact that when you solve an issue within yourself – when the perfect squelch occurs to you, for instance – it is solved on a higher plane and will not occur physically for you to administer the coup de gras. When you have mastered a type of situation, it will not interfere with you: When confronting that bully is your cup of tea, you are not that bully’s cup of tea, in other words. So Strength is about overcoming by finessing. Strength is being the kind of person people, and bad spirits, do not mess with.

………………………..   Two of Pentacles‘ list goes on forever. Perpetual motion might be its title. The band around the balls he juggles is the math sign for perpetually repeating decimals. On and on, up and down, back and forth, round and round, rocking the boat, this way and that, whirling, dizzying motions … ten thousand other such phrases belong to Two of Pentacles. It means silly because of the costume. Words it commonly means are ‘trying’ and ‘sometimes.’ Here are today’s phrases: time after time, keep trying, coming back, keep up, whip myself, spinning, full swing, one after another, stirring up, one way or another, episodes of instability, humor, goofball, constant, turn things around, shaking, regular, reps.

………………………..   Five of Wands shows five fellows energetically whacking one another with big boards. Fighting, sports, competition, opposition, being against, combat, wrangling, quarreling or feuding, struggle, physical exertion or exercise, putting all your heart or all your energy into some activity, even phrases like ‘getting your blood moving’ belong to Five of Wands. This card doesn’t just refer to the activity, but to ‘being that way,’ so ‘combative personality’ or ‘quarrelsome person’ belong to Five of Wands in Tarot Verbatim™.

Who you are in your own private world, and what goes on there, reflect upon what happens in daily physical life. We don’t think of this. We experience it as different types of people instead. I can talk to that one; that one you don’t cross; the other one knows how to get things done. People instinctively relate to what you can offer them as well as to how you might deter them: They know who you are, they size you up that way. So when, inside yourself, you have decided ‘that’s the last goofball I pair up with,’ no more goofballs do you meet. This merits some reflection, methinks.

.

Now we show where each of the phrases in each of the sentences comes from:

.

Strength……….. Strength is dressed in very feminine attire, isn’t she? And she’s got her hands above and below the snout of the predator who came to do harm and interfere: She is shutting the mouth of opposition, taming it, nipping it in the bud. That poor lion who came roaring is now purring instead: not his plan! (This part of the illustration is what produces all the ‘hands’ and ‘handle’ phrases: hands on the problem, handle the opposition, etc.) This Rider Waite Tarot card says that’s because she is a spiritual person, an adept; she has control of her own alter ego, has overcome the monster within, which takes care of the monsters without as well. Strength is you finessing a situation that could have interfered with you. Strength is you having organized your life experience in such a way your abilities on tap for you to use when the need arises. Strength is the fact that you handle life better when you are spiritually alive.

.

Two of Pentacles.………… Two of Pentacles contrasts the even repetition of a juggler who can dance while he juggles – constant and under control – with the upheavals of the ships behind him – out of control. The words ‘keeps’ or ‘continually’ or ‘constantly’ are frequent translates for Two of Pentacles. It very often means ‘trying’ or ‘keep trying.’ It can mean coming around, coming back, turning around, etc. Other frequent translates are ‘sometimes,’ and ‘over and over’ or ‘one after the other’. Occasionally it simply means ‘if.’ Occasionally it means humor or lighthearted frisky kinds of actions. It can be about silly antics (his costume brings that), about nausea and the room spinning (the round and round movement). The ‘out of control’ category includes the shaking of tremors or seizures, and dizziness or nausea. You get a feel for the Two of Pentacles groove, and you can spit out its many, many phrases and words.

.

Five of Wands………….Five of Wands is also trying (like Two of Pentacles), but Five of Wands is the energetic ‘give it all you got’ trying. It means exerting an effort. Five fellows waving boards at one another expresses exertion, competition, and potentially feuding or even violent fight, but more often is about a struggle, competition, being active in something, activity, energy expended, and gung-ho involvement. Often it brings ‘actively involved’ and is sometimes advice to get involved. All kinds of fighting, strife, combativeness, and being against belong to Five of Wands. But it doesn’t have to be oppositional or violent; it can refer to an expenditure of effort and energy, to trying hard, and can refer to activity of any sort, as in ‘taking an active role.’
