Tarot Readings for you for November 5, 2014 Wednesday©

GUIDANCE      There’s always something to fix. There’s always something to figure out. We think long and hard in a worrisome way when a situation is coming up that – we surmise – calls for for more assertive handling than we want to muster. Today we gently suggest that a long hard think re creative solutions prepares you for the moment of confrontation so that you may sidestep being very assertive, and handle it with a magic touch.

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined three pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these three cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONS is a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the three cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Ten of Wands – Strength – Queen of Cups

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

……………….…………………..            There will always be strong women who think things out so that they sidestep – deftly with the grace of a matador – what would have been a confrontation with some beast. They get a grip on it in their heads first, so their hands are quick. Our spread pictures two woman, so we are speaking in the female gender but of course this situation applies to everyone. We have the woman who is thinking (Queen of Cups) and the woman who is acting (Strength). Ten of Wands, the remaining card is a bystander meaning ‘long, hard,’ a long time, or difficult.

………………………..     Strength is making the beast that confronted her purr, the way she handles and fixes the situation. She is making peace, with an accent on the ‘making.’ She is shutting up the predator with her bare hands.

Strength is one of those lovely Rider Waite spiritual cards. Its message is that when you have thought through some hazard and are ready to preemptively handle it, it quits showing up. Bullies see you as a fellow (honorary?) predator when they sense you are relaxed. Try it, it works.

…………..…………...   Queen of Cups is thinking, knowing, figuring out and understanding. That is what she does. She loves her man, and we see her dreamily contemplating some artifact as the place floods. She is the stereotype good woman/nice girl. Her main contribution is: She understands; she loves; she loves and understands her man (or someone else.

……………………….       Ten of Wands here today is about difficult (so hard); a long time (eventually, in the end, will always be, no end of things, take forever, long and hard, all the time); depressing or depression (so sad); too much (what a huge, long and hard, so hard). Elsewhere that load of timber on his back brings out: doing it all in one load; overwhelmed; barely making it; slow progress, one step at a time; taking it upon yourself. (Not today though!)

………..…………..    Ten of wands and Strength  Ten of Wands and Strength talk about eventually overcoming, about getting the best of it in the long run. It says there will always be (Ten of Wands = long term) a strong woman (Strength). Takes her a while (Ten of Wands) but she tames the beast in him (Strength). Something is difficult (Ten of Wands) to control (Strength). Strength is getting control of your inner demons (what’s eating you), and it’s difficult to do but we eventually get there (Ten of Wands). It takes me forever (Ten of Wands) to lay hands on my problem.

………..…………...    Ten of Wands and Queen of Cups There will always be those good woman who understand their man, this says. Ten of Wands is ‘always’ by virtue of its ‘takes forever’ and its ‘slow progress’ category of meanings. Queen of Cups, as usual, is understanding her man. Eventually she (or we) figure it out – since Queen of Cups is to think, ponder, ruminate and cogitate upon some (possibly irrelevant) object or subject, and since ‘eventually’ is one of Ten of Wands’ favorite terms. There’s no end of things to figure out. And you think too much: Too much is also a favorite term for the Ten of Wands. It takes her a long time to figure it out … maybe because she is depressed – because Ten of Wands is also about being so sad it slows you down. She loves her man through hard times (Ten of Wands). Sad (Ten of Wands) memories (Queen of Cups). Think long and hard … or a lot of thought is going into … because she is trying so hard to figure him out.

……………………     Strength and Queen of Cups   Here is where the nice girl slays the dragon … by soothing the situation over … and overcomes. Queen of Cups, you know now, is the nice girl. Strength is that wonderful moment you you rise to the occasion and finesse something that comes at you. She has tamed her inner demons too: That is why she makes the beast tame. You could say ‘The good woman tames his inner beast’ too. A woman who loves and understands her man gets him to behave. Strength and Queen of Cups is figuring out (Queen of Cups) how to handle adversity (Strength). She gets the best of her memories there, too. A strong woman loves her guy. She also knows how to control the dude.

Fighting in your head in solitaire is so much easier, and more thorough and creative, than reacting to clash or challenge when it pops up. There’s no reason to wait; no rule against strategy. There’s no reason we can’t use the 20/20 of hindsight in foresight mode to vanquish our internal demons and our external opposition. We have two nice ladies here doing exactly this exercise. They say ‘Come on in, the water’s fine.’

Ten of Wands ……… You see a fellow who wants to carry that load in one trip all by himself, and he does, too: It’s understood he makes it just like it’s understood that Seven of Wand wins the battle with invading neighbors. Ten of Wands, with this illustration, is about a difficult time or task; a long duration; a depressing situation or condition; and the extreme or an excess. Those are today’s meanings for this Rider Waite Tarot card. In other company, you find Ten of Wands emphasizing doing it all in one load, or taking on a burden, or an overwhelming situation. Elsewhere, you find this Tarot card describing barely making it, or slow progress one step at a time, or taking something upon yourself.

.

Strength …………. A female adept has such presence the beast who comes to attack ends up purring while she holds his big ol’ mouth shut. You can be she. This is the confidence that gives pause to muggers, or the spiritual maturity that makes you invisible to the dark side. Strength’s emphasis is on taming the beast, providing a solution, preventing attacks or opposition, quashing bad behavior, exerting an influence, taking control or taking charge, making a solution and nipping opposition in the bud. Strength is conquering your own downside, your private demons, whatever is getting the best of you.

.

Queen of Cups ………. Queen of Cups is the nice girl, the good woman, lady. The card has the same problem the type of people it represents have: It tends to translate simply as ‘she’ or ‘his woman.’ She thinks, she sees, she knows: That is the most frequent translate for Queen of Cups. She is the woman who understands her man.

Our Daily Spread for April 10, 2011

The question for this weekend is: How pleased will you be with your life for the next 6 months?

Rider_Waite_Tarot_Spread

Dealing mentally with your own fears enables you to deal with scary people

Strength
Ten of Cups, Queen of Cups, Page of Swords

Make yourself see that, despite all the reasons you know of to be fearful, everyone is doing well.
Everybody is as happy and prosperous as they think they are, and they are able to solve whatever problem threatens their good life together.
A mentality of already having a good life is a defense to whatever would get in the way of that good life.
Dealing mentally with your own fears enables you to deal with scary people.
It’s an exciting time for everybody as they realize they are overcomers.
We are all overcoming whatever we thought were threats to having a good life now.
You make yourself happy by overcoming in your own head whatever opposes your having a good life.
Adjust your own ideas of what a good life is for you and yours, and defend that turf.

You and your people are enjoying good times and you know to calm yourself when things get to you.
Once the mouthy teenager is quieted, everyone understands how happy we all really are.
You know your people well enough to make everyone happy by not letting them get on one another’s nerves.
She knows her people well enough to make everyone happy by not letting them get on one another’s nerves.
You prevent discord and make the people around you happy by knowing how to calm down the difficult, oppositional people.
She prevents discord and makes the people around her happy by knowing how to calm down the difficult, oppositional people.
You and your friends and family have a group mentality that keeps you from getting on one another’s nerves and keeps you happy together.
When you deal firmly with that annoying person, you will understand that everyone was really getting along together.

The gist of this description of how pleased you will be with the next six months is that the good life is here already; it is a matter of defining it and defending it against spoilers from the outside. It is also a matter of adjusting your inside thinking to automatically overcome whatever is in the way there. This sounds like gratitude and the law of attraction. It also sounds like Buddha’s slogan that one of the ways to have everything you want is to want only what you already have.

We have asked how pleased with life, and we begin with the Ten of Cups, which means ‘happily ever after.’ This is associated with mentality or thinking, the Queen of Cups, the thinker, who is also a peacemaker sort of gal. Next come the teenage attitude that desecrates domestic peace, the spoiler, closely followed by that element being shut up, overcome, dealt with firmly, by Strength. So our story is fairly obvious. It’s an allegory (vocabulary word alert: a story that illustrates a point) about how mama is the sweet peacemaker of the family; she keeps it happy by not letting the mouthy kid make all that noise. Deal with your life that way.

Queen of Cups and Strength are female cards by the illustrations, but the Queen becomes ‘mentality’ and her thoughts become ‘your’ thoughts because these messages are for a group and ‘she’ excludes the male gender but ‘he’ doesn’t.

Meanings and Illustrations:

Ten of Cups: One big happy prosperous family, a happy outcome, a happily-ever-after marriage and home life. The rainbow over the house, the girl and boy child dancing and parents with arms to the sky, ta-da, displaying their rainbow … where’s the dog? We need that little frisky white dog of the Fool here. Hope he didn’t really fall off that cliff.

Queen of Cups: Here is the nice lady wife of the happily-ever-after family, dreamily contemplating her oversized doo-dad. She is thinking of her man, understanding her man.

Page of Swords: This is a teenager, I say!, in the otherwise happy family. He is defensive and aggressive, standing there with his sword in both hands waving it around at … nothing. There’s nothing within a mile of him and yet he is in hell-raising mode.

Strength: Interesting how she comes right after the one who needs to be soothed and stymied. Strength makes peace, with an accent on the ‘makes.’ She is the over-comer, she has such character no one crosses her but she is non-combative. She has tamed her own beast, and can tame
