Three of Pentacles ……… Three of Pentacles is mutual agreement, and reaching mutual agreement by negotiating or in a relationship, or both of course. The illustration shows an architect (or general contractor) demonstrating to his clients, with the blueprint, that he is worthy to be paid his final significant draw. You see the blueprint matches the cathedral. The meeting of the minds occurs in this illustration.

Knight of Cups …………. Knight of Cups is offering, accepting the offer, and being one of those open warm-fuzzy ‘friendly salesmen’ personalities with whom everyone naturally agrees. Knight of Cups is also the warm-puppy boyfriend, and the friend. The picture conveys this by him offering the cup (being the host), by his merry-go-round horse who is doing what horses do when they are relaxed and standing in one place, and by the pastel shades and the curved lines of the drawing.

Tarot Readings for You for November 30, 2013 Saturday©

Guidance     What happens before there is a successfully consummated romance or deal? What typically leads up to mutual cooperation, serendipity? – You come to a negotiation to experience confrontation, offer, rejection; and a compromise is reached that all parties concerned are agreeable to perform … whether the negotiation is about a love relationship or a business deal or a legal settlement. If everybody keeps doing his part it is because everybody receives what is worthwhile to him/her. Life is the art of the deal. Being the likeable person who starts the negotiation on a friendly basis, who offers and accepts easily and gracefully, means there will always be that influence in your dealings … you won’t have to hope someone else like that comes along.

Tower

Knight of Swords – Three of Pentacles, Knight of Cups

BUSINESS AND OTHER

The basic story here is coming to agreement (Three of Pentacles) through a process of accepting ( Knight of Cups) what was rejected ( Tower) – making that change ( Knight of Swords). This story applies to relationships of any kind. We apply it to romantic relationships and to business negotiations. First, let’s do the business and general applications of these four.

Three of Pentacles and Knight of Cups Three of Pentacles is an agreement or contract and is the negotiation that forges the agreement or contract. Knight of Cups represents both an offer and an acceptance, and is also the fellow people like, who is agreeable, whose skill is to get people together. We all love those guys and gals. Both Three of Pentacles and Knight of Cups are about agreement.

Knight of Swords and Tower Many of Tower’s meanings have the word break in them, for obvious reasons. Breakup and breakthrough, for instance. Tower is rejection, mostly. It also means disaster. (The illustration represents the original Tower of Babel account that appears in the history of various ancient nations.)

Knight of Swords today is about going back, changing, and about quick action. Two of its words are ‘immediately’ and ‘instantly.’ It can mean switching direction or sides, or a reversal, and often occurs in phrases about changing the mind. Most often, it means leaving or getting out, but not today. It often means speed or speeding, or a rush, but not today.

ROMANCE

Applying ourselves now to the romantic story told by Knight of Swords and Three of Pentacles and Knight of Cups and Tower. Three of Pentacles is a relationship. Knight of Cups is the sweet affectionate boyfriend. Tower is breaking up or divorce. Knight of Swords is coming back in a hurry.

Three of Pentacles and Knight of Cups Here we have a good man in a good relationship, a get-together with a warmhearted boyfriend, a man who takes initiative to do his part in his relationship. Three of Pentacles is doing your part in a relationship; Knight of Cups is someone who is out to please, who takes initiative, makes the first move to be affectionate.

Knight of Swords and Tower Both Knight of Swords and Tower mean suddenly, immediately, instantly, and Tower suggests drastically as well. They mean change, of course. Tower and Knight of Swords is a drastic change: breaking up, and coming back. (Yes, it could be going the other way, too – coming back and breaking up – but that’s less likely.

Knight of Swords and Knight of Cups A classic: My boyfriend’s back! He makes the offer again. A friend rushes to the scene to help. It can mean boyfriend runs away, too. Suddenly friendly again, or suddenly someone is your friend again.

Three of Pentacles and Tower A classic: Relationship breaks up. Of course it also says a deal blows up, or a contract is violated or rejected.

Knight of Swords and Three of Pentacles A classic: Leaving the relationship … or pursuing a relationship … or suddenly it’s a mutual deal.

Knight of Cups and Tower A classic: Boyfriend breaks up, or break up with boyfriend. Rejects the guy while he’s being agreeable, or nice guy rejects someone. Rejects the offer, too, of course. Someone has a temper while (you) were being nice to said person.

SUMMARY OF ALL THIS

These four mostly describe a successful, consummated deal or romance.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

Knight of Swords hurries back, turns around or turns things around at high speed. Adrenalin rush, excitement, great energy here. Knight of Swords is about reversals of direction, switching, changing, pursuing at high speed. This action can be immediate or instant. Time is of the essence, we are rushing this through. A sudden strike, or sudden anything. His illustration shows him rushing in pursuit. The horse is off the ground flying. He leans over the horse’s neck with his weapon held high.

Three of Pentacles Illustration shows the architect of a cathedral in a settlement meeting, demonstrating to his clients (a monk and nun) that the work was done per the blueprint, so he can get his last big payment. He has done his part, and they are agreeable. Three of Pentacles’ meanings grow out of this. A relationship, a meeting, a deal, agreement or contract in which each party or person performs his/her part. You are allies who have mutual interests and make plans and deals when you meet up, each person (or party) doing his (its) part fair and square. Three of Pentacles is a legal card too: negotiation, proceeding or meeting, settlement. We are putting our heads together. It is a mutually agreed upon plan.

Knight of Cups is your friend. He introduces you to his friends, and you become allies. Knight of Cups is initiating that first move, putting that hand out, being open to suggestion, and making suggestions diplomatically. He welcomes you. We all like him: Agreeable is his middle name. This card can stand for the offer as well as the acceptance; it doesn’t have to represent a person.

When he is the boyfriend, he is a human teddy bear, a warm cuddly puppy personality. There is something cute about him even if he is older, he is so relaxed. As the boyfriend, he takes the initiative too, of course. He is the one young girls say “Oh, he’s soooo cuuuute.”

Tower shows lightning hitting and destroying a tower and people blasted out of its windows. It’s the story of the Tower of Babel, which of course is about overthrow of the power people by God, who didn’t want them uniting all the nations. The drastic meanings – destroy, overthrow, explosion, forceful blow, eject, sudden attack (like heart attack) – appear less frequently, of course. Frequent meanings are: a sudden unexpected change, shock, break off, divorce, reject, drastic action, temper tantrum, break open or break apart. Naturally it also means immediate or instant action, or a sudden strike.

Tarot Readings for You for August 19, 2013 Monday(c)

Guidance     is mainly about working things out in a discussion – social things, legal things, romantic things, even lawsuits. Accepting what can’t be fixed and enjoying what we do have – whatever that relates to. Speaks of limited offers and void contracts, too. Someone talks too much in some story. Some jurors do not accept some testimony and are deadlocked. A fellow who can’t say ‘I love you’ loves you.

Star

Eight of Swords – Three of Pentacles – Knight of Cups

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

These four Rider Waite Tarot citizens have a lot to say in this foursome, in a lot of different applications – a contract, a funeral, a criminal court proceeding, a love relationship – and more.

Both Three of Pentacles and Knight of Cups are about agreement. Knight of Cups means both offer and acceptance, and Three of Pentacles is a contract as well as a meeting. With Knight of Cups being the friendly guy, we also have a get-together of friends, and a good indication the meeting of friends is amicable (that everyone is on the same page, agreeing).

This theme of mutual agreement is amplified by Star’s meaning of enthusiastic feeling, and also of good feeling and good things to say.

There’s discussion in Three of Pentacles and there’s talk in Star. You could also say the good feeling in Star echoes the friendly initiative in Knight of Cups. You can see how these things mesh.

Then there’s Eight of Swords, the party pooper. What does make a splash in this foursome is the contract, agreement, meeting, deal or legal proceedings in Three of Pentacles, there in the middle, with Knight of Cups to the right meaning offer and Eight of Swords to the left meaning ‘limited.’ A limited offer in a contract. Eight of Swords also means ‘impossible’ to Knight of Cups ‘offer to do.’ Putting Eight of Swords adjacent to Three of Pentacles says ‘can’t come to agreement’ and ‘impossible to have a relationship’ and even ‘can’t deal with’ or ‘can’t get along with.’

Knight of Cups, friend, alongside Star, talk, is a talkative friend. Add Three of Pentacles, and the friend is blabbing your business. Star with Eight of Swords says ‘can’t talk about that.’ Eight of Swords and Knight of Cups ‘can’t be a friend.’

So many sentences here because of the phrases these four make among themselves – and most of them revolve around discussion one way or another.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

Eight of Swords can’t: Itis limitation or limited, impossible, impediments, stuck, and death. “My hands are tied” and “I can’t.” (This is the lead death card in Tarot Verbatim™.) The illustration in Rider Waite shows a woman blindfolded and tied sloppily, surrounded by swords and far from her castle, in a swamp. She is slumped, head down, obviously feeling helpless and defeated and ‘unable.’

Three of Pentacles is the final inspection and settlement an architect is meeting with his clients about. He is demonstrating he followed the blueprints in the hands of his clients. So it is about contract, things legal, settlement, meeting, deal, agreement, business.

Knight of Cups is a friend, a boyfriend, the one who makes an offer, or the offer itself. It also means to be cooperative and accept. His illustration in Rider Waite Tarot is a warm friendly looking fellow on a cute pony who is standing and lifting its feet up like horses do. Soft colors, curved lines: nice expression of the idea. Mercury’s wings on his helmet speak of communication.

Star is singing in the shower, about feeling good and performing well, and singing or talking, even spilling your guts. It is praise for another person, and it is expressing love for another. It is very rah-rah, very enthusiastic. It expresses good health, too. The bather is pouring some stuff in the pond. Sometimes it simply means to talk.

He is so sweet to her in this relationship, realizing it is wrong.

The adventures of my relationship with this boyfriend turn me on.

She turns you on? – take the chance, ask her out, ask her for a date.

He sees his part is to seduce her into a relationship, and he pulls that off.

I realize how risky it is to ‘wear my heart on my sleeve’ and be the one to do my part first.

He dares to be sincerely and intensely loving in his relationships.

We accept high-risk investments when we get an idea to.

We all have a meeting of minds around the idea the dude is a shyster.

You sense a double-cross when friendly guys are offering a contract.

We are aware this is a high-risk investment; we accept the risk.

Our business is about helping people deal with perceived risks.

You know we are there to help when the deal goes bad.

I know my friend will horn in on the deal.

Three friends have the idea to share the risk of this transaction.

You know your buddy: He will hotfoot it out of there when it comes to doing his part.

Accepts the contract knowing there’s some risk.

You know he will do his part even if the deal turns bad, he’s your buddy.

Agrees to do his part in their business together, knowing its hazards.

He does his part to help in their business deals, with the idea of outsmarting them.

My friends inspire me to dare to do this business.

He is marketing the stolen idea to people he knows.

He legally gave the real estate with the idea of stealing it back.

Tarot Readings: Friends’ Shenanigans (Seven of Swords + Knight of Cups)

Friends get together to share the thrill of an adventure.

Such a likeable fellow he turns others onto his destructive lifestyle.

He invites others to share the rush of risk-taking with him.

The danger turns him and his friends on.

He got his friends into this, and now he feels like a traitor.

You know your friends get together in something illegal.

We meet with these friends, aware they are back-alley folks.

Offer to associate with them, knowing they stole it.

Realize your friends are stealing from you – such nice guys.

My friends realize I am at risk and are helping.

He gets the idea he can sell you what he stole from his friends.

Making money outsmarting his buddies turns him on.

I see clearly who the offenders are … am agreeing with you.

An intense flash of danger when everyone is being friendly.

We feel this friendly get-together is a daring thought.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

So Seven of Swords ‘snuck’ back in from yesterday. Risk, adventure, double-cross, daring, taking a chance, cheating, doing wrong, ‘pulling it off,’ being a shyster or special ops person. He is the star card this time, dominating the spread because of the way he connects so well to each of them.

Three of Pentacles is a deal, a relationship, a transaction, an agreement or contract, a meeting or meeting of minds. It’s a friendly deal with Knight of Pentacles, and it’s a dirty deal with Seven of Swords. Of course, with both of them (one on each side, yet!) it’s a dirty friendly deal.

Knight of Cups is the friend, friendly, agreeable, helpful, warm and likeable, the good boyfriend, the first to make a suggestion, accept a suggestion, introduce himself and take initiative. He is approachable and accepting.

Hanged Man catches on fast, describes the telepathic rapport, the eureka experience, deja vu experience, and mainly means realize, recognize, sense, and any paranormal or subconscious viewing or perspective.

Our saga today is about getting our business done in spite of hijinks of others, or maybe even perpetrating a shenanigan of our own to seal a deal.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Seven of Swords A villainous-looking fellow sneaks in broad daylight out of a camp with their weapons, the enemies’ stolen naked blades in his bare hands. This Rider Waite Tarot card in Tarot Verbatim (TM) means such things as: risk, adventure, crime or criminal, double-cross, daring, taking a chance, cheating, doing wrong, ‘pulling it off,’ being a shyster or special ops person.
Three of Pentacles An architect is settling up with his clients about the work he did, demonstrating, with the blueprints, that the work is complete. In Tarot Verbatim (TM), Three of Pentacles is an ‘old reliable,’ meaning deal or dealing with, a relationship, a transaction, an agreement or contract, a meeting or meeting of minds.
Knight of Cups There he is with his signature smile, hand extended with the cup of friendship, the wings of the communicator Mercury on his helmet. Knight of Cups is the friend, friendly, agreeable, helpful, warm and likeable, the good boyfriend, the first to make a suggestion, accept a suggestion, introduce himself and take initiative. He is approachable and accepting.
Hanged Man is upside-down which is the way you feel when your subconscious has just telegraphed you with news. Hair on fire. Hanged Man catches on fast, describes the telepathic rapport, the eureka experience, deja vu experience, and mainly means realize, recognize, sense, and any paranormal or subconscious viewing or perspective.

I N S T R U C T I O N S and Explanations

Did you come here just for your predictions? – If so, you are done when you finish reading the sentences of Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading.

Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that .

Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)

Horoscopes are group readings too.

Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)

Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please?

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.

Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute.  Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.

The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing. This tells the thinking regarding the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the message.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  This is the meaning of each separate card.  This is how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Tarot without trying. The Tarot Talks tab has some examples for students.

Our Daily Spread for November 30, 2011 Wednesday©

Advice You come to a negotiation to experience confrontation,  offer,  rejection and a compromise that all parties concerned are agreeable to perform … whether the negotiation is about a love relationship or a business deal or a legal settlement.  If everybody does his part it is because everybody receives what is worthwhile to him/her.  Life is the art of the deal.  Being the likeable person who starts the negotiation on a friendly basis,  who offers and accepts easily and gracefully,  means there will always be that influence in your dealings … you won’t have to hope someone like that is there.

(At the time of production,  there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation.  I am writing around it now!)

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages.  (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Reading  below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out.  They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It  is a group message like a horoscope,  except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is  “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

GROUP ANALYTICAL TAROT READING Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

A Boyfriend’s Back (Knight of Swords + Knight of Cups)

It’s back to being the affectionate boyfriend doing his part in the relationship after the breakup.

Break up with the boyfriend and he will come back and be a good man in the relationship.

He comes back a radically changed man,  agreeing to do his part affectionately.

After the divorce,  life turns around and he is in a loving relationship.

After the divorce,  life turns around and she has a relationship with a really sweet guy.

In a hurry to meet with the suitor now that she has broken up.

My boyfriend’s back after we broke up our relationship.

Accepting a Contract/Offer (Three of Pentacles + Knight of Cups)

Negotiations broke off and they came back with an offer.

A breakthrough in the negotiation,  we are agreeing again.

Time is of the essence in the contract.  Agreeing to that is disastrous.

They rejected our offer and then agreed to a change in the contract.

Suddenly we are on again,  we got together for a friendly meeting.

When he opens a meeting,  everyone comes to an agreement instantly.

His relaxed manner gets contract negotiations settled;  he turns rejection to agreement.

Disaster recovery happens when you get them to settle.

The settlement blew up and he suggested another course of action.

A reversal in the court proceedings makes for a quick acceptance.

Going back and forth,  offer and rejection and acceptance to get a deal.

Settle this one fast,  take the offer before things go boom.

We all got together and immediately agreed

We all confronted one another in a meeting and the good guy is back in the deal.

Tower

Knight of Swords –  Three of Pentacles –  Knight of Cups

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

Three of Pentacles is an agreement (and is coming to an agreement too).  Knight of Cups is an offer,  and is also an acceptance.  Tower is rejection.  Knight of Swords is switching,  going back or changing.

Three of Pentacles is a relationship.  Knight of Cups is the sweet affectionate boyfriend.  Tower is breaking up or divorce.  Knight of Swords is going back in a hurry.

Both Knight of Swords and Tower mean Suddenly,  immediately,  instantly,  and Tower suggests drastically as well.

So in a business deal or in a romance,  we have a lot of action back and forth.

These four mostly describe a successful,  consummated,  deal or romance.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Knight of Swords hurries back,  turns around or turns things around at high speed.  Knight of Swords is about reversals of direction,  switching,  changing, pursuing at high speed.  This action can be  ‘immediately’  or instantly.  Time is of the essence, we are rushing this through.  A sudden strike,  or sudden anything.  His illustration shows him rushing in pursuit.  The horse is flying:  both front legs extended off the ground (not the way horses move) and he leans over the horse’s neck with his weapon held high and an animated expression.  Horse wishes he were someplace else.

Three of Pentacles Meeting to settle up a deal or contract,  comparing the work to the blueprint.  A relationship,  deal,  agreement or contract in which each party performs his/her part.  Putting our heads together.  Settling on a mutual plan.  Illustration shows the architect of a cathedral demonstrating he did the work per the blueprint,  to his clients (a nun and a monk) so he can get his last big payment.

Knight of Cups extends the cup of friendship,  and is agreeable to accept an offer.  He welcomes you.  Everybody likes him.  Agreeable is his middle name,  and he comes to the table taking the initiative as well.  As the sweet affectionate boyfriend,  he makes the first move too.  His card stands for offer as well as acceptance,  expression of affection,  warm cuddly personality,  cute persona.  A living teddy bear.  Lines are curved in his artwork,  colors are pastel.

Tower shows lightning hitting a tower and people blasted out of its windows.  It’s the story of the Tower of Babel,  which of course is about overthrow of the power people by God,  who didn’t want them uniting all the nations.  So it means to break off,  divorce,  reject,  drastic action,  explosions,  eruptions;  and of course temper tantrums come out of that.  Naturally it also means immediate or instant action,  or a sudden strike.
