Tarot Readings for You for January 14, 2013 Monday(c)

GUIDANCE       So what are we analyzing and examining about life, today? The gist of our messages is to be what we are as well as to not-be what we are not. We talk about both standing up and expressing what we believe in, and not talking about what others are against. Today, the contradictions in our messages are distinctions we make, judgment calls we make.

Tarot Readings: The struggle you go through (Page of Wands + Five of Wands)

.. …..

I am not admitting how hard it is for me to go back to the way I was.

With great effort, I am not speaking the way I used to anymore.

This new language is not that difficult to speak.

It’s such an effort to speak the new language, this person isn’t trying.

Switching from one language to another isn’t that hard for him.

The struggle we go through not to let everybody know who we really are.

Suddenly I have a whole new life, without even trying.

.

Tarot Readings: Changing to a Better Person (Page of Wands + Judgment

.. … ..

I was not always this person you see: The transition was hard work.

He has not always been this great guy you see: It was a big effort to make some changes.

I am not talking about how hard I try to be good.

I quit fighting the change in myself.

He is a whole new person, he is no longer fighting.

Here’s a person who changes instantly – has no resistance to change.

.

Tarot Readings: Telling the Big News (Page of Wands + Judgment)

.. … ..

Can’t tell you what a whole new level of energy I have.

It’s no effort at all for me to say the same thing again.

Don’t fight it, it’s big news.

Fight the change, don’t be a ‘that kind of person.’

I am not going to confess what a fighter I am.

I am not going to talk about how against this I am.

The news is suppressed because because they would have a fight on their hands if they told you about it.

He isn’t talking about the fight that changed him./She isn’t talking about the fight that changed her.

It’s such a struggle not to tell the big news.

Everybody says they are against it, but they’re not.

Stand up and express – “No way!” – whatever it is you are really against.

.

Tarot Readings: Not going to change (Two of Swords + Judgment)

.. … ..

Someone is proud not to be a better person, that’s fighting words to him/her.

It is still a struggle for this fellow to talk about it – no change in that situation.

Not the kind of guy who is going to make any effort to change himself.

He’s not a fighter, he’s a handsome boy, and that isn’t news to anyone.

When you are told to change, you won’t – you fight it.

It’s nothing new with him, he always talks so forcefully like that.

I am telling myself not to get involved in that again.

You keep telling yourself things are not going to change!

Tell me again not to get involved?

I tell you again, I am not going to fight with you: no conflict!

No way am I going back to making that kind of effort to look good.

When it’s a judgment call, I am not against anything.

I have become the person I am, and am trying hard not to go back there.

Suddenly my physical energy is just gone!

Two of Swords is a negator. It means things like ‘no’ and ‘no way,’ stop, not, don’t, won’t, isn’t, end or ‘end of.’ The illustration – a blindfolded woman at night in night clothes, sitting on a stone bench with her back to a body of water, holding heavy swords crossed in such a way she is going to have to drop them – suggests nothing happening, like a big red ‘X.’

Page of Wands We have an attractive, proud, well-dressed young man (or person) who is speaking and standing up very straight, here in our illustration. This, in our Tarot Verbatim(TM) system, is generally about talking, announcing, and speech. Page of Wands is speaking up, saying what you stand for. It also means being who you are, being your best self, looking good or handsome, being well-dressed, being young. It is about the manner of one’s speech, or the language being spoken as well. It means ‘self’ and the type of person someone is. It also means ‘physical’ in any context

Judgment Here is the angel on Judgment Day awakening the sleepers to new life with his horn. Talking, announcing, speech are frequent translations for this card. Judgment also means change, a new level, to return to a former (whatever), to go back, a whole new life, suddenly, transition, news. With help from other cards, it refers to healing, recovery (of anything), or to an angel.

Five of Wands is a fight or struggle, being against, getting intensely involved, putting a lot of energy into (anything), competition, a competitive activity such as a sport, being a fighter, being an ‘aginner.’ The illustration shows fellows jousting with the boards, in obvious conflict of some sort.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Page of Wands and Judgment set the theme of this quatrain of Rider Waite Tarot cards. They both are about talking, announcing, speech.

Page of Wands is speaking up, saying what you stand for. It also means being who you are, being your best self, looking good or handsome, being well-dressed, being young. It is about the manner of one’s speech, or the language being spoken as well. It means ‘self’ and the type of person someone is. It also means ‘physical’ in any context – like physical energy for Page of Wands and Five of Wands.

Judgment also means change, a new level, to return to a former (whatever), to go back, a whole new life, suddenly, transition, news. With help from other cards, it refers to healing or to an angel.

Just to make things interesting, the remaining cards tend to counterbalance one another:

*Two of Swords, like Death, is a negator. It means things like ‘no’ and ‘no way,’ stop, not, don’t, won’t, isn’t, end or ‘end of.’

*Five of Wands is a fight or struggle, being against, getting intensely involved, putting a lot of energy into (anything), competition, a competitive activity such as a sport, being a fighter, being an ‘aginner.’

Two of Swords’ negatory action really makes dramatic contradictions today. We have ‘trying hard to change’ in Judgment + Five of Wands. We have ‘refusing to change’ in Two of Swords and Judgment. You can go to Learn Tarot by Pictures, below, and put those negative words, the ones that Two of Swords contributes, to the Tarot Verbatim(TM) meanings of the other cards, and demonstrate to yourself how Tarot Verbatim functions like language.
