Nothing’s doing; time has passed me by.

There’s not going to be any way out of this.

No exit plan.

Tarot Readings: Just Wait for it to Go Away (Six of Swords and Four of Swords)

You will get over it if you don’t do anything.

Lie down and be quiet, and it will blow over.

I am not going to leave.

Putting one thing behind, the other is ahead: Time to rest.

Get out of the investments you are holding.

Don’t do anything, and it won’t be as bad as it was.

I plan to get over it … but I haven’t.

Leaving or staying, you have financial security.

Have a plan for if things don’t get any better.

Now that it’s finally over, I plan to sleep.

Six of Swords – Two of Wands – Four of Swords

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

                LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES..

.. …….…… ….. ……..., Six of Swords has several meanings that apply in different ways to its mates today. Four of Swords is out of the action, is not participating, is taking a rest, is not responding, most commonly. In their midst is Two of Wands, the future, a plan, and future tense.

Six of Swords is avoiding and Four of Swords isn’t participating. Six of Swords is going the other way, and Four of Swords is staying put.

The closest we come to action for a story is Two of Wands meaning financial security. ‘Leaving or staying, you have financial security’; ‘Get out of investment you are holding’; ‘Leave: There’s no financial security here.’

With two cards being about avoiding, and one about the future, obviously our message is on not doing, on withdrawing. Two of Wands’ ‘for sure in the future’ and its ‘good future ahead’ is occluded … dampered down … by its companion cards. Two of Wands says ‘projected’ and the other two say ‘not anymore.’

.

.

.

GET A SINGLE CARD’S MEANINGS: TYPE ITS NAME AND ‘TAROT VERBATIM’ INTO GOOGLE.

Six of Swords      Six of Swords today is narrowed by the message it is part of. Today Six of Swords is first about ‘get over it,’ and is about things get better or not as bad; about leaving; avoiding; putting off (delaying). This is a bare-bones Six of Swords.

We are leaving, headed away from something. Huddled in a shallow open vessel, mother and child are paddled away, by a friend, with just the clothes on their backs. Six of Swords often says things will be better because they could not get any worse.

Here are the words Six of Swords makes in today’s message: get over; avoid; put off; go away; passed me by; way out of this; exit; get over it; it blows over; leave; putting one thing behind; get out of; won’t be as bad as it was; get over it; leaving; things get better; as the gulf widens; now that it’s finally over; drift from one to another; the worst is over; leave; isn’t anymore.

Two of Wands      Two of Wands is blocked at almost every turn today by Four of Swords. Four of Swords, meaning not doing anything, can act as a negative modifier, what we call ‘a negator’ here.

Money and future are the two core meanings of Two of Wands … plan and finance. The meanings Two of Wands uses today are, as usual, the future and future tense (outlook; prognosis); a plan; financial (investments; it pays off). You see a well-dressed fellow surveying his property holdings below, planning more profit from them.

Here are the words Two of Wands gives us today: I will; plan to; plans; They will; time; There’s going to be; plan; you will; it will; I am going to; the other is ahead; the investments; it will be; I plan to; financial security; have a plan; pays off; I plan to; having a plan; outlook is rosy; prognosis; financial security; real estate is profitable.

Four of Swords      Four of Swords is an inert sort. Its prime meanings arise from its back-story. He lies on the burial box in the church to meditate on his life purpose as a knight – a required part of the ritual that makes him a knight. The bishop will have to approve his vision.

Quite often, as today, Four of Swords simply refers to not participating: being asleep, withdrawn, not responding, indifferent. It can mean the medical term ‘unresponsive,’ and once in a while it refers to a coma.

You can see how Four of Swords operates in the language it provides our one-sentence readings: his death; inaction; retirement; disengage; Nothing’s doing; not any way; no; if you don’t do anything; lie down and be quiet; I am not; Time to rest; you are holding; don’t do anything; but I haven’t; staying; things don’t; not getting involved; sleep; not having; isn’t; unchanged; there’s no _ here; isn’t anymore.

.

.

.

.

.

There’s going to be times nothing’s happening – downtimes, breathers, rest stops, periods in between phases, times you withdraw – times nothing’s doing. You gotta have some time out, no matter who you are. Some of these no-activity zones are voluntary and chosen, some are imposed, but whichever they are, make good use of them.

HOW TO USE THE MATERIAL WE HAVE FOR YOU HERE. Read the sentences, and pick out the ones that seem to apply to you, to the people around you. They are a Tarot analysis of your day’s circumstances. As the day (or several days) unfolds, you may find the information is relevant. The question is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.” Often, your adopting the attitude you feel in the blog works for your day!

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean even contradictory things. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are less specific, more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. Especially when a pronoun is in parentheses, feel free to substitute.

The Advice section sums up a general meaning of all the sentences.

Remember to share your experience with a comment here if you have words for it …

Knight of Pentacles

Four of Swords, Two of Wands, Justice

.

Meanings and Illustrations:

Oh happy day: four ‘good’ cards.

Two of our Rider Waite Tarot citizens today are focused on a goal; one Tarot card is about not doing any more; and the remaining one is about ‘should’ – about things the way they are supposed to be.

Two of Wands and Knight of Pentacles are focused on a goal. Knight of Pentacles has one thing on his mind, even obsessively. He is the sturdy short dark muscled fellow whose horse is also sturdy and short, dark and muscled. Two of Wands is a different sort of fellow, the one whose muscle is financial. He has ‘the world in his hands’ in the illustration. He stands on a roof porch overlooking HIS waterfront real estate community development down there, and is thinking about his money, its and his future.

Our first card is the Four of Swords. This is the fellow overnighting in the cathedral meditating on the stone coffin of some culture hero (saint or warrior), his vision quest that is part of knighthood. The main point of Rider Waite Four of Swords is ‘not participating.’ Not doing. Inactivity. Sleeping. Giving it a rest. Time out. Four of Swords has fewer applications, fewer meanings than most Rider Waite Tarot cards.

Justice too has fewer meanings than most Rider Waite citizens. Besides the obvious legal, police and fairness meanings, it tends to come up with the word ‘should.’ Illustration shows a crowned figure in a red robe with a sword held high and the scales of justice in the left hand.

Today’s advice is good news! Everything is all right for you. That’s what we say here. You’re where you should be, just stay there. Make sure you get the proper rest, and everything’s gonna be all right. Meeting the requirement and no more is good enough; you don’t have to do another thing to be established and to be profitable. Meet that one main goal you have in mind, and if you do nothing else, you are home free.

.

.

ONE-SENTENCE READINGS

Personal Life Perspective:

The main point is: You are where you should be without doing another thing: Stay there.

One thing is certain: You have done all you need to do for things to be the way they should be.

You can sleep now, knowing it’s going to be all right.

Relax. You’re okay, and will continue to be okay for sure.

Focus on the future because right now things are okay without any further effort on your part.

Proper rest and relaxation is going to be important.

Plan to get the sleep you should, first priority.

His dream is to be a lawyer, that’s all he will be.

Aim to do right and nothing but right: That is the plan.

An honest working man will sleep nights.

Being moral is all it takes for you to be secure, only that one thing.

Once you’ve got things under control, you are where you should be.

Legal Perspective:

The law isn’t focused on bankers or real estate people.

Having no plan is very significant, legally.

The point of the lawsuit is going to be what wasn’t done.

The legal issue will be how much sleep he got.

The law has no global focus.

No other priority than to properly establish that one point.

There was no intent or plan: That is the focus of the law.

Refraining from doing that one thing will make it legal.

Business Perspective:

The business is as profitable as it should be without further attention.

You should just let it stay profitable, that’s the main point.

The only concern is balancing the books, that’s all.

The business plan is realistic; just make sure it stays that way.

Being established and legitimate is the only thing you have to do.

Relax. Your goal will be met.

Relax. You will establish this one for sure.

Whatever you have in mind, the bank will approve.

Our Daily Spread for Mar. 28, 2011

Rider_Waite_Tarot_Spread

There is a whole new life upcoming that will make the way things are now look like poor times

Judgment
Four of Swords, Five of Pentacles, Two of Wands

A new era of stability will arrive during these poor times.
You stayed poor until you suddenly have a plan.
Nothing was done while you were drained and ill, but you will recover and be back in the saddle.
There is a whole new life upcoming that will make the way things are now look like poor times.
Going to recover from lying around feeling sorry for him/herself.

Being depressed because of being bedridden is going to change.
You could not do anything because you did not have the money but that will change suddenly.
New life is coming just when you got used to doing without.
Good news is coming, wake yourself from slumber and feeling helpless.
If you do nothing you will be the loser: Be on the lookout for a big change to be announced.

Two of these cards refer to a good future: Judgment and Two of Wands. Judgment means revival, recovery, rebirth, new era new phase – new anything that’s good. Two of Wands means the outlook is very secure, very stable, financially too. The Four of Swords means to be dormant, lie down or sleep – and here, ‘bedridden’ because the Five of Pentacles is being in really bad shape. So obviously we are talking about going from poor times to good times financially and health-wise.

Advice? Well, ‘Take up thy bed and walk.’ Since we say good times are coming, be looking for the shadow!

Meanings and Illustrations:

Four of Swords: To stay the same or be used to, to do nothing or not participate, to lie around. Same-old same old. Illustration is of the fellow lying on the coffin to meditate all night as part of the knighthood ritual.

Five of Pentacles: These desperate people in rags are so numb and sick, and it’s so cold, they trudge past the warm church where they would get a meal. Oh, yeah, poor times.

Two of Wands: Outlook is excellent. Stability. Security. The illustration of someone who ‘got the whole world in his hands.’

Judgment: Judgment means revival, recovery, rebirth, new, era new phase – new anything that’s good. It also means a big announcement, news.

The money you lost is coming back in a breakthrough

Tower
Ten of Swords, Six of Pentacles, Three of Wands

The money you lost is coming back in a breakthrough.
He has money, that he would have lost, to spend from his income when he is divorced.
Money he pays in the divorce devastates him but his ships are coming in.
So miserable that when money comes in he/she spends it on a divorce.
Through all the disasters, there was still enough money to pay the bills.

There is going to be a breakthrough as hitting bottom pays off.
Dead broke, and you get your hands on money; bankrupt and money comes in.
Money from a lawsuit about being injured, money from the wreck/disaster.
Money comes in to pay the bills when he/she is broke from being incapacitated.

Well, the Ten of Swords and the Tower are both disasters, and the Six of Pentacles and the Three of Wands are both money coming in. Tower can be a breakthrough as well as a divorce. Ten of Swords can mean ‘to lose’ or ‘lost.’

Advice is to appraise how not having money either causes, has caused or will cause ‘having the money’ to happen. A ghetto inspires ambition. Losing one kind of life forces another to replace it. Whatever.
As with our previous spread today, hitting bottom brings financial well-being. (The first today spread applies equally to money and to health; this one is not that general.)

Meanings and Illustrations:

Ten of Swords: Now, if there is one card I would not like to exemplify, it’s this one: down for the count, knife in the back – the illustration in Rider Waite says it all. Pamela Coleman Smith expresses the idea so well here.

Six of Pentacles: Money is paid. Money is spent and received in a transaction. Paycheck. Illustration shows a well-dressed employer paying his raggedy workers exactly what he owes them. They are not union workers.

Three of Wands: Good things are coming. Money is coming in. It’s on its way. The picture on this card speaks of ‘Ships coming in’ rather obviously.

Tower: This is not good! A breakthrough is one of its few appetizing meanings. The illustration refers to the overthrow of the Tower of Babel. Disaster, divorce …
