Advice   Sometimes we are all together in the wrong place at the wrong time, and we should not prolong the mutual angst.   Some people are toxic (at least in the situation at hand) and they have the gift of arranging the people around them in the worst possible chronic gridlock.   Busting out is the plan.   You will at least not be part of the hurtful organization yourself.

Two of Wands
Tower – Queen of Swords – Ten of Pentacles

Split with Relative(s) and be Successful (Tower + Ten of Pentacles)

Have a nice predictable future by getting this negative relative/these negative relatives out of your life.

Am doing well for myself, have it under control, since I split with that wench and her whole dysfunctional family.

Split with the quarreling clan and with mama-bat, and be successful.

She does not get her due from family.(Queen of Swords + Ten of Pentacles)

She confronts the extended family with her demand to be taken care of (for life).

She whines, nags and demands until people blow up and she gets it: her power holds!

Family Trouble: Disagreeable Woman (Queen of Swords + Ten of Pentacles)

Ex-wife expects to be in your family forever despite the divorce.

She causes family fights and she always will, the martyr.

She complains, nags and whines at the whole family until they are ready to split up with each other, and she always will be that way.

She confronts the extended family with her demand to be taken care of (for life).

Confront the whining old bat, and the whole clan will be ‘all over you.’

That whole family fights and complains about one another all the time.

The old people’s home will throw the disagreeable old lady out.

Everybody in the clan fights all the time with everybody and with the mad matriarch.

The family estate is owned by the widow as her asset – not the family’s.

The old lady is on the outs with family: That will be the problem.

Everybody in the clan fights all the time with everybody and with the mad matriarch.

She whines, nags and demands until people blow up and she gets it: her power holds!

In-laws will reject the wife.

Miscellaneous

The whole confrontational crew will make life disagreeable: guaranteed!

The global organization breaks up over grievances.

Factions of the company are demanding autonomy.

There will be an upheaval or rebellion in the company due to these demands.

Criticism of the organization is a huge impact on its bottom line.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards,  by itself,  has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

Two of Wands
Tower – Queen of Swords – Ten of Pentacles

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Uh-oh, there’s no hope of much pretty coming from these Tarot fellows gathering here! Three out of four refer to major family trouble, or to other confrontational unpleasantness.  The remaining card doesn’t negate any of it; it simply means the future, ownership of real estate, global, assets, and a plan.

Tower is a confrontation, blow-up, divorce, rejection.  Queen of Swords feels she isn’t getting what she is entitled to and is angry.  She may be justified by the facts or not.  She is the critical nag, the whining demanding (old) wench.  Or bitch, or ex-wife, or mother-in-law or mama-bat.  She also feels someone (her fellow, often) isn’t living up to her standards – which, again, may be justified.   She may be a victim.  Ten of Pentacles are the dysfunctional crew, clan, family, in-laws, organization or company or agency.  They are quarrelsome, are in trouble or are trouble.   They are those people.

See?  No peace here.  The only positive is the secure future of Two of Wands can mean that having been through this,  a person is stable and has a good outlook, a good future.  Nothing like a hellish home life to make one crave peace, eh?

LEARN TAROT BY THE PICTURES

Tower This illustrates the destruction of the Tower of Babel in the histories of the countries we associate with Bible times. It’s one of those cards you don’t have to be told the meanings of:  destruction, being thrown out, rejection, explosions and explosive (as in temper or confrontation).
Queen of Swords She never fails to come up for the kind of personality we have all endured: the martyred nagging whining complaining demanding female we call the old bat, our ex, the *itch, who usually acts righteous. Nurse Ratchett. Leona Helmsley (of “The poor pay taxes.”) She is the widow and can be a woman who has lost a child too.
Ten of Pentacles Dysfunction, corruption, conspiracy and crime, not to mention low class troublemakers and wealthy political organizations and families that cause us grief.  Oh yeah, politicians too. Pictured is a patriarchal family’s showdown. Grandpa gloating on his throne with dogs paying him homage as son gazes in the distance and does not even face or look at his wife who is trying to tell him something while their child pulls at her clothes, squalling. The family quarrel … except today it goes beyond that due to the other cards.
Two of Wands The financier atop his castle contemplates his real estate empire making plans for more profit. He has the world in his hands. (Pamela Coleman Smith’s joke?) This card means profit, plan, the future, security, financial planning, business, outlook.

HOW TO USE THE MATERIAL WE HAVE FOR YOU HERE. Read the sentences, and pick out the ones that seem to apply to you, to the people around you. They are a Tarot analysis of your day’s circumstances. As the day (or several days) unfolds, you may find the information is relevant. The question is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.” Often, your adopting the attitude you feel in the blog works for your day!

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean even contradictory things. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are less specific, more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. Especially when a pronoun is in parentheses, feel free to substitute.

The Advice section sums up a general meaning of all the sentences.

Two of Wands

Tower Six of Cups Knight of Pentacles
Two of Wands
Tower – Six of Cups – Knight of Pentacles

Another spoiler card configuration. Very first card is divorce, confrontation, break, separation, temper tantrum, strike, wreck, radical departure … even arrest.

Both Six of Cups and Two of Wands are about security. Six of Cups is about the past and Two of Wands is about the future.

Both Two of Wands and Knight of Pentacles are about looking forward. In the case of Knight of Pentacles, it is his self-interest that engrosses him; and in the case of Two of Wands it is financial future. Knight of Pentacles is motivated to be where Two of Wands has already arrived.

Advice is about breaking with the past … even breaking with the people you have cozy old scenes with … and deliberately focusing on the future you plan for yourself. Something must be rejected as you reach for something you see ahead. We speak of taking care of the children of a broken marriage as well. (The children card and the sweet home card are one and the same.)

Meanings and Illustrations:

Tower: Divorce, confrontation, break, separation, temper tantrum, strike, wreck, radical departure … even arrested. See the Tower of Babel (a home of sorts) destroyed.

Six of Cups: Home sweet home, children, sibling(s), security, the past, nostalgia, romance. The illustration shows two little kids in front of a large dwelling place (apartment building or mansion). The boy gives the girl flowers. The colors are softer.

Knight of Pentacles: He is rough and tough, a peasant kind of a fellow even if he wears finery. He is focused on one thing, and it is self-interest that motivates him. Illustration shows him short and dark on a similar pony, staring at the center of his interest.

Two of Wands: Security, financial future, the future, a plan – and, hence, a financial planner. He has already arrived. See him with ‘the world in his hands’ surveying the town he owns and planning his next development.
