“Is it true love or sex?’ people wonder. Well, today it’s both. ‘Is this person my friend, or using me?’ Well, the mooch loves you. We have true love with a strong sexual bond. We have a friend who expects favors from buddies with no return reward. But the headline is, we have “Your dream lover comes to you with true love in his heart.” and “All you could ever want in a love affair: the love of someone who looks out for you.”
Two of Cups
Ace of Cups – Hermit – Nine of Cups
4 Tarot Readings: Looking for and Finding True Love (Ace of Cups and Hermit)
All you could ever want in a love affair: the love of someone who looks out for you.
Looking for love and finding exactly the love partner you have in mind.
It’s true love, and your lover is monogamous the way you want (him) to be.
Your dream lover comes to you with true love in his heart.
I get both a hot love affair and true love with devotion.
He comes looking for love, for a love affair with his dream mate.
Old man is in love, and can satisfy (you) sexually.
Tarot Readings: Love and Sex with Complications (Ace of Cups + Two of Cups)
He is devoted to the one he loves, but she only pretends to be what he really wants.
After being used, you crave honest loving.
A mooch really loves you because you help out with whatever he/she wants.
Your mooch is satisfied that he/she loves you and is devoted to you.
A player who really wants to be sincere because he/she is in love.
In my old age, life is easy and I have everything I want – even a sex life.
Lovable old man wants to have sex.
Tarot Readings: Help and Cooperation (Ace of Cups and Hermit)
I get the help and cooperation I want from someone who mistrusts me.
I got everything I could ever want the easy way, and now I seek to help people who don’t even know me.
Delighted with the help and cooperation of people we don’t even know.
Seeks to cooperate with what the other person wants in spite of misgivings.
Tarot Readings: Taking Advantage, Deceiving People (Two of Cups)
Someone comes to take foul advantage and wants to be loved for it.
It’s easy to get rich taking advantage of old people.
Gets rich deceiving people who seek God.
Two of Cups
Ace of Cups – Hermit – Nine of Cups
Well, your wish for true love and devotion is granted, in a hot love affair too! It goes like this: Ace of Cups is true love; Hermit is a person (usually, but not always, a fellow) who is devoted and sincere; and Nine of Cups is ‘your wish is granted,’ your dream come true. Two of Cups is the hot love affair. Hermit also comes to, or is looking for, another person. (Copy this paragraph and put it in your wallet!)
Hermit is sincere; Two of Cups has an agenda, is using someone, has an undisclosed other interest. Hermit is devoted; Two of Cups is mooching.
Ace of Cups is true love, Two of Cups is the (hot) love affair. Here, note, we have both. And we have both with Nine of Cups that means total satisfaction, dream come true.
Ace of Cups is cooperation, and Two of Cups is pretending to. Ace of Cups + Two of Cups = true love with a strong sexual bond, and also means ‘only pretending to love.’ Maddening, isn’t it? That’s why we combine more than four cards in an individual reading: to break those ties.
Two of Cups isn’t just cheating your lover, it’s being insincere with friends or in business deals. It’s pretending to be something you’re not. Its broad, general meaning is that ‘undisclosed third party’ or undisclosed other interest. That is applied in unexpected ways sometimes. It can represent, say, a surveillance camera.
Ace of Cups True love is what Ace of Cups is about today mostly, although God and cooperation do show up. The Rider Waite illustration is from the Roman Catholic end of things: the love representing Holy Spirit, the wafer representing Communion, the fountain that represents a person infused with the presence of God which flows through and goes out – those five streams being the five senses to modern people, and the five ‘humors’ or body fluids in the Middle Ages.
Hermit A monk is devoted to finding travelers at night, with his lantern, in the mountains in the snow. Hermit comes to, looks for, helps, is an old or older man, is patient and wise – sometimes a professional counselor – is celibate or monogamous, is a true friend, a friend who comes to help.
Nine of Cups ‘Your wish is granted’ refers to the person who is asking the question. He also means satisfaction, wanting, wanting it all, wealth, overindulgence, excess, being content, pleasing or being pleased. Illustration is a chubby fella who drank all those glasses on the mantel and has a big grin on his face.
Two of Cups The caduceus represents a factor that interferes or participates and is undisclosed. The factor that interferes need not be malefic, but often is. Two of Cups means many things – for example, mistrust, mooching, addiction (any kind), sexual bond, sexual affair, love affair, cheating lover, lover who has an agenda or misrepresents him- or her- self, false friend, con artist, embezzlement, deceit of all kinds.

GET A SINGLE CARD’S MEANINGS: TYPE IT INTO SEARCH BOX ON OUR SEARCH PAGE
Hierophant
Hierophant is ‘entitled’ and ‘should’ and the usual, normal condition or situation. It’s about the cleaned-up image we, and institutions, present officially. It’s about face, it’s about the surface. It about the news that’s fit to print and ‘keeping a clean nose,’ meaning ‘look respectable.’ The ‘real meaning’ of the public ritual the pope is doing is for the initiated: That’s how the illustration connects with the meanings of Hierophant. (Hierophant means pope.)
Six of Pentacles
Six of Pentacles is paying and being paid fairly, an even and fair exchange. The employer weighs the coins he pays the laborers with. Gold coins’ worth is in the weight of the gold, and as they wear down, they are worth less. The emphasis can be on the giving, or the receiving, or on the exchange, when Six of Pentacles is being applied.
Nine of Cups
Nine of Cups is being satisfied, and is what you want, and getting what you want. It is also being content, the feeling of a full belly. It is also about the attitude of ‘want the world and want it now,’ of feeling entitled to be overpaid – in other words, about being spoiled or greedy. You see a hubby fella with a goofy grin, nine empties on the mantle behind him.
Ace of Cups
Ace of Cups is love, health, cooperation, ease and easy – a comfortable flow. The illustration shows the presence of God flowing through a person’s five senses and into the body of water that would represent the consciousness of other people generally. It uses Roman Catholic symbols.

Now Without The Pictures
|
There’s no drama here, relax today. Our first two panelists connect with fairness, with giving and receiving what you should get or receive – nice and normal exchange. Hierophant is ‘entitled’ and ‘should’ and the usual, normal condition or situation. Six of Pentacles is paying and being paid fairly, an even and fair exchange.
Nine of Cups is being satisfied, and is what you want, and getting what you want. It is also being content, the feeling of a full belly.
Ace of Cups is love, health, cooperation, ease and easy – a comfortable flow.

Four Card Spreads, Guidance, Tarot Readings for You
Guidance We see the humor in cranky people who demand it all from us. We question ourselves as in “Why am I so irritable when I want to be lovable?” We are self-deprecating in “Why would a discriminating wench like her want to love a dummy like me?” There’s an underlying feeling of life not having to make sense, it’s just the way it is.
Instructions:
Are YOU here for the first time? Come in! People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.

Tarot can come up with a wide variety of sentences (sometimes even completely contradictory sentences!) in a group reading as there is no specific question being asked. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

The very first thing that jumps out at you when you look at these four is the contrast between having it all, in Nine of Cups, and the dissatisfaction of not having what you feel should be yours in Queen of Swords. This is what we have to work around – the reconciliation of these two posts.
Queen of Swords in Tarot Verbatim(TM) is the ‘bitch card,’ the demanding whining nag, the woman who has her hand out, the victim, the ex-wife. It’s being dissatisfied, cheated, self-sacrificing. It’s also, though, the strong woman, the woman who is exacting, who sets stringent standards she expects of others … who does not tolerate nonsense. She is often an older woman. You don’t find her as this type in other Tarot systems.
Page of Cups is a comic figure, a fellow in women’s clothes who carries a fish in a cup and has a goofy look. This card often puts the sentence he resides in into question form. He is one of the ‘duh’ cards. There’s an incredulous feeling to him.
Ace of Cups depicts flows and the infusion of Holy Spirit into the ‘five bodily humors’ of Middle Ages lore, or the five senses. It is true love, God, good health, cooperation, going along with (whatever), and specifically means ‘harmless’ or ‘no harm.’ Watch for it as ‘hold harmless’ in your legal questions.

Nine of Cups is one of the simple cards, and means the same thing in any self-respecting deck: “Your wish is granted.” Love it when it shows up as a Self card: It means the situation you ask about serves your benefit. Most often it supplies the verb ‘want’ in some form.

EXPLANATIONS:
Each and every ‘Tarot Reading’ sentence you see is a literal interpretation of the four Rider Waite Tarot cards drawn and pictured for today. (The literal interpretation is from the illustration on each card.) These sentences are put together by only combining the phrases of what each cards says. In other words, there are NO “filler” phrases added just to make full sentences, and no psychic ability or spirit guide is ever involved.
*Without a question* in a group reading to focus the answer, the four Tarot cards can mean quite contradictory things, especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no,’ ‘never’ or ‘not.’ These negative modifiers can apply to any one of the other cards.
*Without a question* in a group reading, the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) are more flexible. Whenever you see a pronoun in parentheses, please *feel very free* to substitute another pronoun than the one used. I try to drop pronouns when possible, which, if you’ve noticed, can make for awkward phrasing.
Now in an ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question and thereby supplies at least half the information! In an individual situation, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too. Here, in a group reading we cannot do that and so we get a variety of sentences.
Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you! (Astrologers know this!)
Tarot, on the other hand, is perfectly capable of flexibly addressing any group, including all of the visitors that come to this site. It can also address people you might not even know personally, such as all the people at your job who have a say in whether or not you get a raise.
We have been wondering here lately whether the Tarot Verbatim(TM) sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than they are for people who visit this site only once in awhile or for a short time. Would you help us with a comment please, if you have not been a regular visitor? Just let us know if the sentences are relevant to you. So far, people say they do apply.
Return to this site often and you can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim(TM) works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Rider Waite Tarot cards with very little effort.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING
Converged at our Tarot conference table we have Love (Ace of Cups) Relationship (Three of Pentacles) of your dreams (Nine of Cups) and a person or man who takes initiative and makes it happen (Magician).
Since Three of Pentacles is also a business deal, agreement or arrangement, or meeting together for a mutual purpose, we are also about serendipity in commerce.
In the middle is doing. To the left is smooth sailing (easy, ease, cooperation, etc.). To the right is a deal done to everyone’s satisfaction. Over all, we have being totally satisfied, getting exactly what you want, having it all your way. Again, in love or in business.
Both Ace of Cups and Three of Pentacles are agreement. Ace of Cups is being agreeable, cooperating. Three of Pentacles is the agreement.
Ace of Cups also means God, presence of God or Holy Spirit, so we have some sentences there. It means health too, and I could have added more than the one sentence that we have for that.

Ace of Cups Its illustration is about the blessed life of union with God. Its meanings are ‘all good and no harm.’ Love, true love, comfortable feelings. Health, ease and easy, smooth flow, cooperation, good, God and the presence of God. |
|
Magician Action, taking initiative, doing, making it happen, being the one to do, or the one who did. Magician is the male principle of being active on a given plane (not receptive). Its illustration shows the Magician bring about whatever it is he wills, using his wand. |
|
Three of Pentacles shows a get-together for a purpose. The architect demonstrates with the blueprint that he is entitled to be paid by his clients. The deal is mutual, the parties are present, there’s a meeting of the minds, an agreement is reached. They have a relationship and are ‘on the same page.’ |
|
Nine of Cups Safunsified, totally satisfied – satiated, even. This is the ‘Your wish is granted’ card in any self-respecting Tarot deck. The grinning chubby fellow has the nine empties on the mantle, is feeling no pain. He has plenty, he is pleased. |

I N S T R U C T I O N S & Explanations (Comments are below this.)
Did you come here just for your predictions? – If so, you are done when you finish reading the sentences of Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading.
Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that .
Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)
Horoscopes are group readings too.
Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)
Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please?
Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things, especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.
Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.
The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.
