GUIDANCE Today we are on a very private road, on our path, moving through whatever slows us down until we get there. We are step by step getting to our reward even when overwhelmed. We keep going even if we are old when we arrive. We know we are on the right road a step ahead at a time, and that’s how we shall arrive at our eventual destination. The gist of our messages are that in the long run, honesty pays, and that it’s okay to be religious and/or spiritual.

Now, Part Two,
Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,
*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined meanings of the three cards in the pictures in the Tarot Readings. It explains how these cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONSis a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.
*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures. It is what each of the cards, by itself, has to say. It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.
You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.
This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – than a personal reading would give you. Also, pronouns are flexible: If the sentence feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ but you’re a ‘she,’ well, it’s yours.
*AND if you write names of any two cards into the Google search bar, it will give you meanings of those!
.
Ten of Wands – Hermit – Ace of Pentacles
.
.
………………….…………………… All three of these cards are about a road, and two of them have religious-spiritual overtones – Hermit’s a monk on his path, and Ace of Pentacles is the path. Hermit and Ace of Pentacles together are about honesty and kindness. Ten of Wands and Hermit are patience and traveling slowly. We have a little to say about money, too.
………………………….. Ten of Wands, one look at the picture tells you most of his meanings: going slow, weighted down with difficulty and/or depression, making it the hard way, taking the whole load upon yourself, and ‘one step at a time.’ It also means long term and for a long time.
………………………….. Hermit is on the road looking for something, carrying a light, as a religious (a service monk). He is sincere, kind, helpful and a friend not only because he is the monk, but because he is looking for travelers on the cold road in the dark of night to invite them into the monastery for dinner and rest. He is elderly, and he is searching or looking – two of his other meanings. We are not using that today, but he is a doctor, medic or healer of any sort, and a counselor – the wise man.
..………………………. Ace of Pentacles combines being on the right road, path, or track with prosperity or reward, so you could say it is a preachy Tarot card in Rider Waite. (Prosperity Christianity, they call it.) But the straight and narrow can happen if you’re just smart, not necessarily pious. Ace of Pentacles is arriving at your destination, is the payoff or reward, is money, is a really good thing of any sort, is success, is better or best, and says ‘pays off’ too.
……….…………. Ten of Wands and Hermit Hermit is watching and looking, and also means ‘discover,’ and Ten of Wands is a long time, a long hard anything, is long lasting. Sentences for this part are:
Diogenes is looking for a long time now.
Watching a long time.
It’s so hard … but I’m looking for it.
Looking for the longest lasting _.
Just keep looking to keep going.
Take a long hard look.
Looking to _ the most _.
With a lot of help, you find ….
Ten of Wands is the long run, is keeping at it, is slow progress; Hermit is seeing, the virtues, patience, slow and patient, is on the road at night, knows, is honest and kind, and is old. Put these together, and you have these sentences:
When you can see … you just keep going no matter what.
I see the hard way ….
The virtues _ in the long run.
What’s in your long term _ takes patience.
Progress is slow but if you are patient ….
If you are patient and keep going ….
On a slow and difficult road all night.
We know … so we keep at it.
We keep going even if we are old ….
A simple life is very __.
Kindness _ eventually.
Too honest and too kind.
Hermit is old. Ten of Wands has been doing the same thing for a long time, is going slow, and keeps going, bearing the burden. Ten of Wands also frequently means ‘eventually.’
When you are as old as I am, and have been doing it as long as I have ….
Eventually, you get old.
Slow down when you are older.
We keep going even if we are old ….
_ is such a burden to the elderly person.
Hermit as a monk represents the spiritual or religious path (the same thing to Tarot most of the time), and Ten of Wands as ‘difficulty’ covers ‘ardors’ and ‘it isn’t easy.’ So here you go:
The ardors of a spiritual path.
I’ve been on the religious path, and it isn’t easy.
Hermit is sobriety (as well as chastity), and Ten of Wands is not only the one-step-at-a-time toward sobriety that we all know, but also means ‘for a long time,’ so these two sentences are here:
One step at a time toward sobriety.
I have been sober for so long.
Hermit is knowing, and Ten of Wands is a long slow process, and also means thoroughly (through meaning ‘a lot of’). It is really Ace of Pentacles as money that calls up ‘compounding’ for these two Tarot cards. Compounding is leaving the interest in the sum invested, to draw interest of its own over a long time. That way, these two cards have contributes to this meaning: Knowing all about compounding. x..
……….………… Ten of Wands and Ace of Pentacles Ten of Wands is both ‘for a long time’ and ‘it’s so hard,’ and Ace of Pentacles means perfect, so we have these:
… perfection for a long time now.
It’s so hard to be perfect.
Besides meaning ‘perfect,’ Ace of Pentacles means ‘the best’ and ‘better.’ Ten of Wands means a long time, to keep going, a lot of, and long term. So here are the phrases from this portion of the union of Ten of Wands and Ace of Pentacles:
The best and longest life.
… and have been at it as long as I have, you are the best at it.
The best way to keep going.
… the best way, with a lot of ….
What’s in your long term best interest.
Ten of Wands is the long run, a long time, eventually – and with money it can mean compounding. Ace of Pentacles means ‘pays,’ succeeds,’ a really good thing, and money. So these two Rider Waite Tarot cards in Tarot Verbatim™ mean these phrases and sentences:
… pay off in the long run.
… for so long, I have succeeded.
_ pays, eventually.
All about compounding your money.
Eventually … and that’s a really good thing.
The refreshing thing about Ten of Wands and Ace of Pentacles is that progress is slow (Ten of Wands) but you make it, you get there (Ace of Pentacles):
One step at a time gets you there.
Progress is slow but you will arrive.
on the road a long time
What’s in your long term best interest.
… for so long, I have succeeded.
We keep going, and we arrive.
If you keep going, you will get there.
Ace of Pentacles is the right track, the right way, being right, and it’s all right – any positive phrase with ‘right’ in its meaning of correct belongs to Ace of Pentacles. Ten of Wands is the ‘no matter what,’ the hard way, keeping at it, and slowing down. Here are those sentences:
… on the right track, you just keep going no matter what.
The hard way is the right way.
We are right so we keep at it
It’s all right to slow down.
Ten of Wands means ‘very’ and ‘too’ or ‘too much’ as well as a burden, the most, and a long, hard effort. Ace of Pentacles is money, so all that pays off. Here’s how that goes:
_ is very rewarding.
Too _ but it pays off.
_ a long hard _ at where the money is.
Money is such a burden.
Make the most money.
Lastly, we have a few strays coming in under the wire. Ten of Wands is ‘the ardors’ because of its ‘difficulty’ category of meanings. It also means, for the same reason, ‘it isn’t easy.’ Ace of Pentacles is the ‘straight-and-narrow.’ So here ya go: The hard (Ten of Wands) way (Ace of Pentacles).
The ardors are so worth it.
I’ve been on the straight-and-narrow path and it isn’t easy. x..
………..…………. Hermit and Ace of Pentacles Hermit and Ace of Pentacles are out looking for the best or looking for the perfect (whatever). Hermit is looking – and he is also old, patient, and helpful. Ace of Pentacles is the best way, beast interest, best life, and is perfection. Here are those sentences for you:
_ is looking for perfection.
… to be perfect: I’m looking for it.
Look for the best life.
When you’re as old as I am, you are the best at it.
Just looking for the best way.
What’s in your best interest takes patience.
With help, you find the better or best way.
Ace of Pentacles means ‘right’ – any kind of right in the sense of ‘correct’ or ‘righteous.’ It also means ‘It’s all right.’ Here are those sentences:
When you can see you’re on the right track ….
I see _ is the right way.
It’s all right when you are older.
We know we are right.
Ace of Pentacles is about ‘it’s rewarding’ and ‘it pays’ and is ‘so worth it.’ Hermit is spiritual path, virtue, a simple honest life, kindness and honesty. Here are what we get from these meanings:
The virtues pay off.
… of a spiritual path are so worth it.
I’ve been on the straight-and-narrow religious path ….
A simple honest life is rewarding.
Kindness pays.
(We) are being honest and kind but it does pay off.
Ace of Pentacles is about arriving – partly due to its ‘success’ meaning and partly due to the road leading to victory there. Hermit is sobriety, is patience, is honesty, and is, of course, on a road at night. Hermit is old, too. These meanings combine to produce these sentences for you:
… toward sobriety gets you there.
If you are patient, you will arrive.
On a road all night.
Watching on the road.
(We) are old when (we) arrive.
I have been sober; I have succeeded.
If you are patient, you will get there.
Lastly, Ace of Pentacles is money, and Hermit is elderly, and is looking; and Hermit knows. So here goes:
Look for the money.
Take a look at where the money is.
Money is … to the elderly person.
Looking to make money.
Knowing about your money.
You get old (Hermit), and that’s a really good thing (Ace of Pentacles). x..
HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONS
resonates with your subconscious awareness!
……….…………. Ten of Wands and Hermit Diogenes is looking for a long time now. It’s so hard … but I’m looking for it. Looking for the longest lasting _. When you are as old as I am, and have been doing it as long as I have …. When you can see … you just keep going no matter what. The virtues _ in the long run. Just keep looking to keep going. With a lot of help, you find …. What’s in your long term _ takes patience. The ardors of a spiritual path. I’ve been on the religious path, and it isn’t easy. I see the hard way …. ……….………… Ten of Wands and Ace of Pentacles … perfection for a long time now. It’s so hard to be perfect. The best and longest life. … and have been at it as long as I have, you are the best at it. … on the right track, you just keep going no matter what. … pay off in the long run. It’s all right to slow down. We are right so we keep at it. We keep going, and we arrive. … for so long, I have succeeded. All about compounding your money. Eventually … and that’s a really good thing. _ on the road a long time. x..
………..…………. Hermit and Ace of Pentacles LOOKING FOR THE BEST _ is looking for perfection. … to be perfect: I’m looking for it. Look for the best life. When you’re as old as I am, you are the best at it. When you can see you’re on the right track …. The virtues pay off. Just looking for the best way. With help, you find the better or best way. What’s in your interest takes patience. … of a spiritual path are so worth it. I’ve been on the straight-and-narrow religious path …. I see _ is the right way. … toward sobriety gets you there. If you are patient, you will arrive. On a road all night. It’s all right when you are older. We know we are right. (We) are old when (we) arrive. I have been sober; I have succeeded. If you are patient, you will get there. REWARDS OF HONESTY AND KINDNESS A simple honest life is rewarding. Kindness pays. (We) are being honest and kind but it does pay off. LOOK FOR THE MONEY Take a look at where the money is. Money is … to the elderly person. Looking to make money. Knowing about your money. You get old, and that’s a really good thing. Watching on the road. x..
.
The virtues pay off in success and in cash, besides being a reward in themselves, we say. Be in for the long haul, and even if the going is slow, you get there. Your patience is eventually rewarded … a reason for being patient, right? Compounding money is a good example of the long haul paying off. When you can see you’re on the right track, you just keep going no matter what.
.
.
Ten of Wands ……….. Ten of Wands, as you can see, is overloaded because he (or someone else, or something else) put it all on his back in this one big load, and he is weighted down with the burden of it, going slowly. He will make it: That’s part of the meaning of Ten of Wands. ‘Eventually’ and ‘one step at a time’ are his. (Put him next to Hermit’s ‘sobriety’ category of meanings, and, yes, you have the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous.) Ten of Wands says ‘Hang in there’ and also says ‘Take it upon yourself’ and ‘Do it in one operation, all at once.’
.
Hermit …………. Hermit is a monk, a doctor, is a traveler on the road, or a pedestrian, is looking for something (and is looking where he’s going). He is patient, helpful, a friend, is kind and devoted. Hermit is one of the caretaker cards, like Queen of Pentacles who cares for her man or her family mainly. Hermit can be counseling or a counselor. He is also elderly. In medical topics, watch for him to say ‘ambulatory’ because he is walking with a stick.
.
Ace of Pentacles ………….Ace of Pentacles is being right, being on course, being on the right track, ‘yes,’ a reward or payoff, money, possession (mine, ours, yours, theirs), arriving, the best or the better, success, and has a connotation of ‘the right path’ for spiritual or religious life.

Some people handle the difficult situations well and – with their skill set – take care of the rest of us who are in their circle. We who don’t have that skill feel uneasy about that particular situation as the mama takes care of it … and us. Another facet of today’s Tarot talk is the ‘How long is this going to go on?’ feeling about either a comfy situation or an onerous one. We also question things that are too, too conventional.
Queen of Pentacles
Hierophant – Ten of Wands – Page of Cups
3 Tarot Readings: Suspect, Doubts, I think, Seem, Question (Page of Cups)
I have my talents, but sometimes I suspect I am slower than normal.
This is soo arduous, but somehow she can pass it.
It’s so hard she doubts she has the skill to pass it.
Why am I feeling so down when everything is okay and she is here to take care of things?
She has the ability to keep things as they should be indefinitely, I think.
I think we are safe indefinitely due to her backing us.
She has some idea she is supposed to take such good care of us.
As long as mama takes care of (him), (he) will probably be okay.
Commitment comes so slowly as he doubts the woman who cares for him.
I feel very strange the way she babies me …. Don’t I pass here?
He questions religion a lot, as much as she is devoted to it.
He asks her why she contributes so much to the church.
As a foreigner, it’s going to take a while to fit in, but I can do this.
I seem to handle the conventional routine well, but I am sick and tired of it.
The question of its long-term safety is raised, and that is her skill.
Even with her help, it is difficult to be straight when you’re gay.
Tarot Readings: Questioning What’s Normal (Hierophant and Page of Cups)
How long has it been since I balanced my budget?
Which of your abilities are average, and which are off the scale?
Why am I talented at things that are very boring?
How can so much of my budget go to staples (necessities)?
Will it always be the way it usually is for our bookkeeping?
Will she always be able to handle this like she does now?
She has kept things they way they should be for how long?
Normally, things are depressing: What can this woman do for us?
It usually takes a long time. What can she do about this?
Considering how depressing things are in normal times, what can she do for us?
Can she give us more than she usually does?
How can she do this clean living for so long at a time?
Haven’t the bookkeeper’s skills always been acceptable?
Is your devotion to him too conventional, too traditional?
Tarot Readings: Goofy, Disoriented, Silly, Crazy, Stupid Idiots (Page of Cups)
I have always been harmlessly goofy, and I care for people.
She takes care of a disoriented person who will never be normal.
She devotes herself to religion way too much, it’s silly of her.
Hmmm, I have a hard time making this crazy thing realistic to her.
She deals ably with this stupid stuff for so long it feels normal.
It takes a long time to straighten this idiot out, but she can do it.
Hierophant You know how people say “Is the pope Catholic?” Well, that ‘Of course’ groove is what this illustration of the pope expresses. Hierophant is the usual and normal situation, the way it should be, okay, routine, safe, harmless, acceptable to all. It also refers to religious and church and things that are official, or the word ‘officially.’ Hierophant means approval or approved, and ‘passing’ as in a passing grade or being accepted in a social circle.
Ten of Wands Here’s a fellow who takes on everything in one load, which slows him down, but he will make it there step by step. Ten of Wands is a long time or long term, always or never, taking on a burden, it is slow going or will drag out. Bent under that load on his back, he is feeling down, the extreme of anything or the word ‘extremely,’ and ‘too much’ or an excessive amount or number.
Page of Cups Page of Cups is one of those ‘asks a question’ cards in Tarot Verbatim(TM), and it means silly or goofy, feeling strange or awkward or foreign. This is you having a blond day too. As much as Hierophant fits in, Page of Cups does not. As a young man dressed in women’s clothes, this can represent a bisexual or homosexual person. As a fella who carries a fish around in his cup, he also represents a misfit of any kind, including obvious mental and social disabilities.
Queen of Pentacles People like Queen of Pentacles handle difficult situations well and use their skill sets to take care of the rest of us, don’t they? This is the loyal and talented woman who uses her resources for taking care of or backing, contributing talent or ability to, often, family members. This is a skilled, able person who manages money and her people. Sometimes she is matriarchal.
Four unrelated Tarot family members here, which usually makes stories, narratives. Queen of Pentacles is the only card with action, and the action is taking care of or backing, contributing talent or ability to, often, family members. This is a skilled, able person who manages money and her people.
The other three Rider Waite Tarot cards mean:
Hierophant is the usual and normal situation, the way it should be, okay, routine, safe, harmless, acceptable to all. It also refers to religious and church and things that are official, or the word ‘officially.’
Hierophant means approval or approved, and ‘passing’ as in a passing grade or being accepted in a social circle.
Ten of Wands is a long time or long term, always or never, taking on a burden, it is slow going or will drag out, feeling down, the extreme of anything or the word ‘extremely,’ and ‘too much’ or an excessive amount or number.
Page of Cups is one of those ‘asks a question’ cards in Tarot Verbatim(TM), and it means silly or goofy, feeling strange or awkward or foreign. As much as Hierophant fits in, Page of Cups does not. As a young man dressed in women’s clothes, this can represent a bisexual or homosexual person.
Some people handle the difficult situations well and – with their skill set – take care of the rest of us who are in their circle. We who don’t have that skill feel uneasy about that particular situation as the mama takes care of it … and us. Find a way to make money by giving people their due and bringing them their truth.

They are about today and the days around it. (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)
*Go to Advice to apply what those sentences say (in the best way) for you. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.) Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow.
The Question for weekdays is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them. The Question for weekends is stated right on top on those days.
Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD
Six of Pentacles is to pay what you owe honestly, and Hermit is honesty, and Ace of Pentacles is having money. All three of these cards involve what is right and doing what is right.
The idea of being rewarded is in both Six of Pentacles and Ace of Pentacles. Both of them are having money: Six of Pentacles is receiving or paying it, and Ace of Pentacles is possessing it.
Hermit is being on the Path and Ace of Pentacles is the Path.
Star means good health and Hermit is a healer and is sobriety. Hermit brings the truth and Star tells the good news.
MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS
Six of Pentacles is getting paid or paying, is getting what you deserve or giving others what they deserve. It is doing the right thing. An employer is shown weighing coins to pay his employees fairly. It is a justice card.
Star is one of the strange cards as far as the illustration and the meaning. Some ceremonial bath associated with a performance here means good health, talking, singing or acting, good news or publicity.
Ace of Pentacles has a juxtaposition of spirituality and money. The straight and narrow path is there for all to see, with its lilies in front and rose arbor at the far end, and with the hand with the large sum in it representing money and success. But it isn’t espousing the prosperity gospel of big corporate religion; it is saying that when you are on the right path, your life is all right.
Hermit’s meanings grow out of its picture: The monk goes out looking for travelers on the road to help them, bringing his light. He is an old man who is living an honest life of service to others, and he is a doctor as well, a healer. Being ‘on the Path’ is of course suggested. This isn’t one of the churchy cards.
