Tarot Readings for You for March 30, 2015 Monday©

GUIDANCE         We soberly view the vagaries of adverse weather cycles alongside the vagaries of aggravating people’s outbursts. Just as we plan a trip patiently around weather hazards and road hazards, we plan our course of action around people who are likely to dump some difficulty upon our vehicle. We learn more about weather patterns that disrupt our schedule, and we learn more about pothole people: We grow wiser and calmer about avoiding cyclones, and we grow wiser and calmer about avoiding social eruptions and disruptions too.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.

‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages from the pictures of the three cards you see – to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow. The family of commenters here would love for you to join in (the very last thing, at the bottom).

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined meanings of the three cards in the pictures in the Tarot Readings.  It explains how these cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONS is a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – than a personal reading would give you. Also, pronouns are flexible: If the sentence feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ but you’re a ‘she,’ well, it’s yours.

*AND if you write names of any two cards into the Google search bar, it will give you meanings of those!

Three of Swords – Hermit – Two of Pentacles

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

………………………     Three of Swords, you don’t have to be told, is a Tarot card of adversity, bad weather, heart problems, and hurt. Two of Pentacles is about upheaval, cycles, timing, repeated encounters or repeated experiences, silliness, and things in progress or continuing. Smack in the middle of these two upsets is wisdom, calmness, watching it, and continuing on your course or path, exemplified by Hermit, who is calmly out looking for trouble, troubled people, to fix the situation. Once again – and this is a very basic and regular Tarot occurrence – we have a rescue card ameliorating the adverse effect of difficult ones.

………………………..Three of Swords is what it is. You see a stylized heart pierced by three swords, storm clouds and rain against an all-gray background, and nothing else. Needless to say, this Tarot hombre has few good meanings. Bad weather is as good as it gets, unless you consider a hostile environment not much of a problem. Pain, hate, hurt, heartache and heart problems, adversity galore: That’s Three of Swords, and not much else. This is one of those bad-boy Tarot cards that, when it appears in your story, you look around for a rescue card, and pay attention.

………………………..      Hermit has been there, done that, and repented of it long ago. He is experienced in life, and things don’t get to him anymore. So he is one to go out looking for other people who are in trouble to dispense wise advice, warm bed, hot meal and devoted caring affection. He is a monk, a service monk, with medical training – a doctor, as a matter of fact. You know that by what he is wearing. (Yeah, research.) The fact he is old (or older) often is germane to your story. Hermit is on the road, so this card represents road trips, including walking there, night travel, and going to a place or person. That brings up being the one to come see or call – the one who makes peace, makes the first affectionate move, and the one who helps. Hermit is also taking care of and being devoted to a companion, like Queen of Pentacles. Since he is a doctor and is traveling on foot, this is the Tarot card for a doctor on his rounds – especially with old Two of Pentacles there echoing ’round.’

………………………..   Two of Pentacles has a few trunks to its meaning tree. You can immediately see ’round and ’round, over and over, on and on in the juggling of the plates or balls, the pentacles attached to the math sign for repeating decimals. You see silliness in his costume, especially what looks like a dunce cap. You see upheaval in the ships wildly tossing behind him. Cycles and timing are not quite as obvious, just a half-step away.

We weather one storm, one upheaval, after another as we go on down the road getting older and wiser. We see the cycles and patterns more and more as we go. We observe and get an understanding of dumb and hostile people, and get an understanding of dumb and hostile social situations. This understanding makes us damn near unmovable: We are calm because, well, we have been there, done that, seen it all, and know better now.

Now we show where each of the phrases in each of the sentences comes from:

……….…………

NOTE: THESE ONE-SENTENCE READINGS ARE A GREAT EXAMPLE OF HOW THE PHRASES THAT BELONG TO A GIVEN TAROT CARD DO NOT NECESSARILY APPEAR SEQUENTIALLY IN THE SENTENCE THEY ARE MAKING: TAROT AND ENGLISH HAVE NOT-THE-SAME STRUCTURE. I HAVE USED HIGHLIGHT AND UNDERLINE TO DIFFERENTIATE AS BEST CAN BE DONE.

Three of Swords……….. Three of Swords is a what-you-see-is-what-you-get Tarot card. A little of it goes a long way. You look for limitations to it when you find it on your table. It’s gonna hurt at least a little even if you find a rescue card for it. This is one that doesn’t back down to meaning mere discomfort (or humiliation, like Ten of Swords can mean); it is at least a difficulty. The heart can be taken literally as heartache, stroke, heart attack. Adverse environment is a mild dose of Three of Swords, you know. It is usually hostility, quarrels and fights, jealousy, resentment or envy, pain, trauma, damage, hate, temper eruptions (like Tower can also be), divorce (one of two cards for that), breaking up, quitting or getting fired. It can be spite or mere dislike. It can simply mean ‘against’ or ‘opposed.’ Injury and trauma are part of its repertoire so don’t put it with a violent card like Seven of Swords or Five of Swords. You don’t want to see it in a death theme either, because that is a fatal heart attack that might be afoot in your story.

.

Hermit…………. Hermit is the wise-old-man stereotype. The wisdom has no gender, though. The age kinda does: You don’t see Hermit representing an old woman, or even putting ‘old’ or ‘older’ to a female’s story in your spreads. Hermit is coming to a traveler or travelers to help them, which brings ‘this person comes to you, or calls you’ to some spreads. Which also brings being devoted, caring for, and helping others, as well as being a friend. Which also brings quite a few traveling, on the road, pedestrian, searching and watching meanings. Hermit is a monk (service monk of course) and a physician, so medical providers and religious (reverends, priests, rabbis – anybody’s religion) belong to Hermit – and so does going without sex – celibacy, monogamy, true to boyfriend or girlfriend, etc.

Hermit has some general meanings too, like: comes, seeking enlightenment, giving advice, carrying a light, night, cold and/or snow, being in mountains, patience, surveillance, investigation (the search and the knowing, as well as the watching), being objective, truth and truthful, analysis and appraisal, sincerity, fact, seeing through – and it even means ‘demonstrate’ sometimes. Once in a while ‘comes to see you in the middle of the night’ and ‘is watching out for you’ applies to visitations of deceased loved ones.

.

Two of Pentacles………….Two of Pentacles’ illustration gives rise to some contradictory meanings that don’t get in one another’s way in the real world. First is the steady progression, continuing, regular cycle, routine and similar meanings. Second is the instability, upheaval, rocking the boat, and roiled meanings. Two of Pentacles’ steady progression meanings arise from the sure-footed juggling performance, of course. Two of Pentacles’ instability and upheaval meanings arise from the ships tossing on crazy waves behind the juggler.

Besides these two major divisions of Two of Pentacles’ dictionary, we have all the silliness meanings that arise from his costume – especially what looks like a dunce cap to modern people. We also have a box of meanings about cycles, timing, re-doing, what’s next, and all sorts of movements (up-and-down, back-and-forth, ’round-and-’round, whirling, stirring, spinning, wheels moving, and others). ‘This way and that’ belongs to that category, in a way.

Some of these movement meanings give rise to another category of vertigo, dizziness, nausea, tremors, the room spinning, and so on.

Tarot Readings for You for January 20, 2013 Sunday(c)

Guidance        Friendship between two fellows – especially how they can  be fast friends and never  interact with one another – comes up in our discussion for today.  Just like your boyfriend can lapse into a coma of inactivity and never call you, but still loves you.  But we do point out that a boyfriend comes to see you when he hasn’t heard from you in a while.  Another of today’s advices is to get your beauty rest.

Instructions: Are YOU here for the first time?  Come in!  People love this place!  Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need.  ‘Guidance’ is a summary of what the cards are generally advising visitors to be aware of that day.  ‘Tarot Readings’ is the actual word for word messages the cards are conveying.  Tarot can come up with a wide variety of sentences (sometimes even completely contradictory sentences!) in a group reading as there is no specific question being asked.  So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Tarot Readings:  Friends, Without Anything Happening (Four of Swords + Knight of Cups)

We don’t have to see one another often to be friends.

Two guys can be friends without any back-and-forth.

These two guys never interact with one another, but are friendly.

I am not going to let my friend come to my aid this time.

A supposed friend who doesn’t help.

Friends don’t see one another often,  but have an understanding.

I understand my friend is a goofball, and let him be that way.

Nice guy, but he keeps seeking to be a couch potato.

Your buddy comes to you with one suggestion after another that you do not act upon.

I am always asleep when this buddy comes to see me.

I keep tuning out his helpful suggestions.

I am always asleep when this buddy comes to see me.

Tarot Readings:  Boyfriend and Inactivity (Four of Swords + Knight of Cups)

When you don’t respond, boyfriend will come looking for you, every time.

Boyfriend is sincere, he just lapses into inactivity.

I observe:  Boyfriend is sometimes indifferent to me.

Boyfriend sometimes is helpful and sometimes is not.

Sometimes I lie around doing nothing, and then boyfriend comes to see me.

Sometimes I am looking for a boyfriend and sometimes not.

You can go a long time without a kind understanding boyfriend.

Tarot Readings:  Health, Doctor (Hermit)

Do not go to the doctor as often as he suggests.

As long as you are laid up, your friend comes to help.

I suggest you look for ways to get regular rest and sleep.

A doctor suggests you not do something as often.

Tarot Readings:  Not Responding to the Offer (Four of Swords + Knight of Cups)

Someone keeps coming to me for help.  Count me out this time.

Someone keeps trying to be your friend, and you have reason not to do that.

He keeps offering to help.  Do not respond.

Miscellaneous Tarot Readings:

I am always in search mode when I meditate, open to suggestion.

Sometimes I am open to friendship, and sometimes not.

Just accept the fact that kindness is not always repaid.

My friend has always come to see me often.

The two of us guys have always been such good friends:  It goes both ways.

How strange.  Hermit and Knight of Cups, two cards that mean three of the same things – friends or friendship, come to, and help – are back again, from yesterday.

Today, they are accompanied by not doing or not responding (Four of Swords) and by something that is continual or repeated or ongoing.

The two guys are friends, and a lot of our stories today are about friendship between two fellows – especially how fellows can be fast friends and hardly ever talk to one another or do anything together. Since Knight of Cups is also Boyfriend, we explore how fellows lapse into inactivity, and how they respond when they are ignored in return.

Since Four of Swords is also about rest and sleep, and Hermit is a physician, we delve a little into going to the doctor, and getting your beauty rest.

.

Four of Swords  The ceremonies for becoming a knight include a vision quest overnight in a church, lying on the burial place of a culture hero, to determine your life purpose.  That is what you see in this illustration.  Four of Swords is ‘time out,’ meditating, not interacting, not responding, not participating, and getting your rest.
Two of Pentacles

When, oh when …

Two of Pentacles   We see a juggler, plates moving incessantly as he dances, wearing a goofy costume.  Ships toss behind him.  In Tarot Verbatim(TM) this Rider Waite Tarot card is about repeated or continual action, and about movements.  It often adds ‘keeps’ to a verb, as in ‘keeps moving.’  It means silly or goofy, too.
Knight of Cups   is your friend, and everyone’s friend.  He may be a salesman, and he is a lover.  He comes to us with his hand out in friendship.  “He’s sooo cute, he’s such a sweet guy,”the girls say.  He is pictured on a horse that looks like a merry-go-round pony, and he wears Mercury’s wings – the communicator – on his helmet.
Hermit    He is on the road at night in the cold to help his fellow humans, to seek them out to help them.  Here is a kind, sincere man who is a true friend.  He has medical expertise.  As a monk, he is associated with spirituality.

EXPLANATIONS:

Each and every ‘Tarot Reading’ sentence you see is a literal interpretation of the four Rider Waite Tarot cards drawn and pictured for today. (The literal interpretation is from the illustration on each card.) These sentences are put together by only combining the phrases of what each cards says. In other words, there are NO “filler” phrases added just to make full sentences, and no psychic ability or spirit guide is ever involved.

*Without a question* in a group reading to focus the answer, the four Tarot cards can mean quite contradictory things, especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no,’ ‘never’ or ‘not.’ These negative modifiers can apply to any one of the other cards.
*Without a question* in a group reading, the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) are more flexible. Whenever you see a pronoun in parentheses, please *feel very free* to substitute another pronoun than the one used. I try to drop pronouns when possible, which, if you’ve noticed, can make for awkward phrasing.

Now in an ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question and thereby supplies at least half the information! In an individual situation, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too. Here, in a group reading we cannot do that and so we get a variety of sentences.

Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you! (Astrologers know this!)

Tarot, on the other hand, is perfectly capable of flexibly addressing any group, including all of the visitors that come to this site. It can also address people you might not even know personally, such as all the people at your job who have a say in whether or not you get a raise.

We have been wondering here lately whether the Tarot Verbatim(TM) sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than they are for people who visit this site only once in awhile or for a short time. Would you help us with a comment please, if you have not been a regular visitor? Just let us know if the sentences are relevant to you. So far, people say they do apply.

Return to this site often and you can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim(TM) works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Rider Waite Tarot cards with very little effort.

HOW TO USE THE MATERIAL WE HAVE FOR YOU HERE. Read the sentences, and pick out the ones that seem to apply to you, to the people around you. They are a Tarot analysis of your day’s circumstances. As the day (or several days) unfolds, you may find the information is relevant. The question is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.” Often, your adopting the attitude you feel in the blog works for your day!

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean even contradictory things. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are less specific, more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. Especially when a pronoun is in parentheses, feel free to substitute. The Advice section sums up a general meaning of all the sentences.

Rider_Waite_Tarot_Spread

Now that I am sober, I realize I was only seeing things.

Seven of Cups
Hermit, Two of Pentacles, Hanged Man

The pattern here is two cards that mean ‘to understand’, each followed by a card that means something out of control or unstable. So we are saying something twice.

What advice are we saying? To take a good look, an intuitive look, at the loose cannons in our personal lives, understand and be aware of them. Those loose cannons are not presented here as problems but more as some underfoot stuff that gets in the way that you have to step around. A time of flux demands attention, analysis and intuitive sensing because fluxes are easy turning points, whether the turn is accidental or intended.

Perspectives:
Look around and see the fog.
See the same thing over and over and realize it makes no sense.
Analyzing the instabilities and seeing each separate unrelated instance.
You keep looking and see all sorts of things.
Now that I am sober, I realize I was only seeing things.

Knowing how silly all these things are makes you realize.
To know both factually and intuitively that it’s one damn-fool thing after another.
When you see how indecisive he/she is, you realize the shit has hit the fan.
When a wise man is being foolish, he realizes he is out of control.
Examining its erratic movement, (you) realize it’s disintegrating.

Keep looking for individual pieces that you relate to.
The old man is unsteady, he feels himself losing control.
Sometimes a sensible man’s imagination runs wild.
Seeing things, you realize you may or may not be sober.
He realizes that sometimes being kind and helpful makes a mess of things.

Meanings and Illustrations:

Hermit: The kind monk is looking at night with a lantern for travelers he can help. He is old, sensible and sober and wise. This Rider Waite Tarot card calls for words like: see, analyzing, knowing, examining, and ‘take a good look.’

Two of Pentacles: You see the back and forth movements of the juggler, the ships tossed up and down on wave s behind him. This Rider Waite Tarot card refers to such words as: around, over and over, instabilities, keep ___ing, now that, how silly, one thing after another, indecisive, foolishk, erratic movement, unsteady, may or may not, and sometimes.

Hanged Man: ‘To realize’ is the most frequent word Hanged Man calls for, along with ‘see’, relate to, intuitively, feels or senses, and imagination. The illustration depicts how you feel when you experience eureka, when you realize what you already know but never quite fully grasped. It depicts the very different view of the world you have when you have been spiritual for a while, and are becoming a citizen of other dimensions.

Seven of Cups: Illustration of the strange objects in the cloud is about either Pandora’s Box or the Sorcerer’s Apprentice. It is about spiritual things invading physical reality … which reminds you of what I just said about the Hanged Man. It brings forth many different phrases but they are pretty much on the same target. Here are the words we find for it in this spread: fog, makes no sense, each separate unrelated instance, all sorts of things, only seeing things, all these things, damn-fool thing, shit has hit the fan, out of control, disintegrating, individual pieces, losing control, runs wild, imagination runs wild, seeing things and makes a mess of things.
