Unselfconscious values, this suggests, are the real ones.

Death
Death’s illustration shows the dead king on the ground, the grieving family kneeling, the bishop’s possessing the crown to bestow upon the next head of state, death personified in black armor carrying a black flag with an emblem of a rose. Despite all this, Tarot Verbatim™ persists in using this Tarot card strictly as any negative modifier at all, and meaning ‘the end.’ Since Tarot Verbatim’s™ meanings are strictly derived from experience – field trials, you could say – there’s no arguing with this. Just be aware other systems vary from Tarot Verbatim’s™.
Ace of Pentacles
Ace of Pentacles depicts the idea that goodness is rewarded, that being on the right path brings money. Hmmm. You see the right path in gold, very straight and narrow, lilies (purity) to begin, and a huge arbor of roses (victory) to end. In case you don’t get THAT, a hand with a pile of gold coins is suspended over said gold path. In real life, Ace of Pentacles is money, being correct or right, the right path, a road (any kind), reward or credit, and ‘yes.’
Fool
Fool’s illustration bears some explanation. This young person skips to cliff edge, not looking where he is going, his dog prancing along. He is on a trip on foot with only a small purse, no provisions for him or the dog, and carries a white rose (purity, spirituality) in his hand. (He should meet Queen of Cups.) Fool is the zero, which suggests ‘nothing’ and being a place holder rather than having a real presence.
Fool means ‘to be free of’ and even ‘to be not there’ or absent. It can translate ‘nothing’ or ‘having no.’ The underlying idea is that a person who lives in spiritual reality is oblivious to physical hazards, and is exempt from their harm. (Do not try this at home.)

Now Without The Pictures
|
Ace of Pentacles is being on the right track or path, success, money, what’s right or correct; and it means ‘yes’ as the first self card in a Celtic Cross spread. Fool and Death together are tricky because in Tarot Verbatim™ Death is any negative modifier and Fool often means a lack of something since it means to be free, and therefore ‘to be free of’ anything. Death is an end and Fool is a start (since it is the zero). Although most Tarot systems consider death a change – ‘The king is dead, long live the king,’ don’t expect that in Tarot Verbatim.
Ace of Pentacles exemplifies the idea that being good is rewarded, that goodness is associated with money. You see the straight path in gold, lilies at its beginning (purity) and a rose arbor of victory at its end. In case you don’t get THAT point, a hand with gold in it is over the gold path. In use, Ace of Pentacles’ most common meanings are: money, to pay or receive it; being on track or on the path; right and correct; a road, literally; and being rewarded or getting credit for something.
Death is any negative modifier, and it means ‘the end’ or ‘ends up.’ The times it does translate ‘death,’ either death is the subject of the inquiry, or it does not refer to a death that would bring grief, often meaning the death of a thought or a thing. Usually, you see this Tarot card being: no, not, isn’t, can’t, don’t, won’t, and such words, and never. Death is what you love to have in a spread that has a ‘bad card’ because it makes, say, Ten of Swords, mean ‘not a disaste
Fool today is about freedom, not caring, and ‘no reason’ mainly, today.
The illustration bears some explanation. He is on a foot journey without provisions for himself or the dog. He is not looking where he is going, and is about to skip off a cliff.
As I pointed out, you see negative words in Fool’s very positive vocabulary – things like ‘for no reason,’ ‘doesn’t remember,’ being unaware,’ ‘doesn’t know’ and ‘have no idea,’ ‘not there,’ ‘not the one,’ ‘without,’ and ‘isn’t about to.’
When Fool gets together with Death, this makes a reader trip over Death as a negative modifier. A double negative is a positive in English but not in the romance languages – don’t know how that would work out in those – but in English, sometimes you have to do a double take, retrace, look at surrounding cards (if any) to understand what the sentence is telling you.
Fool and Death, when their meanings blend peacefully, say ‘not free,’ ‘don’t forget,’ ‘can’t ignore,’ ‘not openminded,’ ‘no fear of death,’ ‘the subconscious is not,’ and ‘I don’t care how it ends.
Death and Ace of Pentacles is of course ‘not the right way’ and ‘wasn’t on the road. The main thing you expect when these two get together is ‘not correct’ and ‘don’t have the money.’
Ace of Pentacles and Fool are most likely to bring up not caring about paying, being paid, or money. They also mean ‘don’t care if I am (or it is, or someone else is) correct.’ With Ace of Pentacles being reward or ‘getting the credit for,’ these two say ‘Don’t care if I get credit for it’ or ‘not expecting to be reimbursed.’
Note that both Ace of Pentacles and Fool share the concept of being ‘on the right path.’ Fool stresses living in the spirit, living unconsciously (or subconsciously, in the spirit), not paying attention to what people refer to as ‘the cares of this world.’

………………….…………………… First, Strength and Judgment are both spiritually oriented Tarot cards. Strength is about having the character and/or the spiritual maturity to have a path clear of trouble, interference, and attack – clear because of your ability to solve problems and dilemmas, to prevent trouble because you see it coming and nip it in the bud – and because you disarm the enemy with your presence. Muggers somehow avoid martial artists – a good example of the process of which we speak here. Then, Judgment is about enlightenment, a new level of understanding, a new life and new perspective – being reborn into the spiritual world.
Second, Judgment and Three of Wands are both future oriented Tarot cards. Three of Wands means ‘future,’ and refers to good things (and good money) coming your way for sure: You’re looking at it, you know about it.
So our topic today is making a good future through your spirituality.
………………………….. Strength illustrates the principle that spiritual adepthood and strength of character act to nullify opposition, attack, and interference. When you have solved some dilemma in your head and have a strategy for it, the situation does not show itself again. I have had that happen. The way muggers skip over people who can handle them is a great example of this, and the demons behave the same way their kindred spirit on the street does. ‘Handle’ is a Strength word. Strength solves problems; strength repels trouble and distractions. It’s who you are that does that.
………………………….. Judgment uses one wedge of its meanings here, channeled into the new better life and change, with a sprinkling of the news/announcement segment of meanings. You see the angel with a flag that represents the meeting, the intersection, of physical and nonphysical environments – and this angel is waking the dead for new life. Judgment is the new person you are when you have experienced Strength – when you have accepted and transmuted your shadow side, and are newly hatched into a different life.
..………………………. Three of Wands is when you have done the work and the reward is coming, and you are waiting confidently for your payoff, your profit. It can be about income as easily as about that better life its companion cards presage.
……….………… Strength and Judgment Strength and Judgment are changing things for the better. Strength is hands-on making a change – focus is on overcoming whatever is in the way to let in the new light. Here are typical sentences for their combined meanings:

Judgment is change and an announcement; Strength is handling and dealing with … so these two can be about handling and dealing with change itself. They then say things like this:

……….………… Strength and Three of Wands Strength and Three of Wands are very focused in their messages. They say ‘Deal with what is coming’ and ‘Make your own future’ like ‘Life is a D. I. Y. Project.’ (Do it yourself project.) So you have the simple positive statements that the future is good, like:

Today is an excellent demonstration of how Tarot works, how you determine which of many possible meanings applies. If you are not interested in learning about this process, just skip or skim over this category today, because we are going in a little more deeply than usual.
When you see both Judgment and Knight of Swords, you sit up straight, because they both mean a turnaround, a sudden drastic change, suddenly, unexpectedly, a surprise, to return. They are both dramatic cards. Are they talking about one big shift of events or circumstances, or are they talking about a change and reverting to the former state, or maybe someone fell off the wagon and recovered again. See?
Judgment also means recover, to wake up and have a new life, to see the light, a big announcement or spoken word (to say), publicity, (even a loud noise, the horn). The sudden dramatic surprise is featured among its meanings: I mean, waking up the dead is a surprise.
Knight of Swords also means reversal, drastic, turnaround, speeding, in a rush or hurry, back and forth, get out of, flee or run away or leave in a hurry. But he can also mean pursue – not in today’s spread, though. Knight of Swords is you when you run away from home.
We look to the other two Tarot entities at our table for the rest of the story. Three of Wands tells us good things are coming, money is coming in, the future is a good one. Yay. That points our stories toward the changes being for the better.
Ten of Pentacles, therefore, is the ‘before’ picture and we are talking about a resolution or exposure or a leaving behind as to the trouble it represents.
Yes, you can take the Ten of Pentacles dysfunctional bunch of people and one of the ‘change’ cards, and say trouble pops up; but if you do, there’s still the other change card plus Three of Wands pointing to a desirable future.
Anyway, Ten of Pentacles is your messed-up relatives, the gridlocked company you work for, the low-class neighbors, the corrupt people in charge anywhere at any level, the troubles you have seen with the people where you have been.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES
Ten of Pentacles is people in trouble, people who are causing trouble, family problems or family/families who are a problem, hereditary problem, and any mob, gang or criminal group including politicians and rogue police gangs. Dysfunctional or messed-up. low-class or perverted folks, family or culture (mores). It also means a house, including a house in disrepair, or the ghetto. You hardly ever find it meaning something desirable.
The illustration in Rider Waite of Ten of Pentacles is one of those lovely family meetings we all hope we die before it happens. Grandpa on his throne is petting the dogs, not caring about the ‘discussion’ the parents of his squalling grandchild are having. And of course the Mr. is staring into space, head turned away from her (kinda like grandpa) as his wife earnestly talks. You get the idea the lady is screwed. The house, the setting, indicates wealth. The attitude of grandpa attracts meanings for Ten of Pentacles about corrupt groups, and about corrupt authority. Very complex card, not the first one you look at for the meaning of a spread.
Three of Wands refers to future anything, to anything in the process of happening that is also continuing, and is usually a ‘good’ card. End of story, pretty much. It also means income, as in money coming in, ships come in, and so on. Very simple card. Look at it first.
Judgment is about a sudden change, a new phase, and also means recovery, publicity or spoken words or announcement (possibly loud). The angel’s horn is the big announcement, the word, the publicity, and the resurrection depicted by the folks standing up in their coffins means the rest.
Knight of Swords is also about a sudden (probably drastic) change. It refers to a reversal, drastic anything, turnaround, speeding, in a rush or hurry, pursuit or fleeing away, back and forth, get out of. Its meaning is easy to remember and easy to apply when you see that Knight in full armor flying on his horse against the wind. (By the way, horses don’t move that way!)

All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim(TM).
In these group readings, there’s no question (and no Questioner) to limit what the four cards can mean, so they can mean opposite things.
When there is a negative-meaning card (a ‘negator,’ I call them), the readings contradict one another because that card can make any of the other cards in the spread negative. Negator cards mean things like: no, never, not, end, can’t, etc. Never be queasy about the number of ‘bad’ card because it takes two bad cards to say ‘not dead’ and only one to say ‘dead.’
Without a question or a Questioner, pronouns (I, you, he, she, we, they, etc.) are very flexible. I leave out pronouns in writing this as much as possible – awkward to do that sometimes. When I put them in parentheses, feel very free to change them around to suit yourself.
Now in a ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question which provides at least half the information! In an individual’s reading, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too. Here, in a group reading, we cannot do that and so we get more variety of sentences.
Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you! (Astrologers want you to know this!)
Tarot successfully addresses the group of visitors, whoever they are. It provides useful information that applies to their daily lives: They tell you this in the comments, for three years now. Tarot can tell you things about people you don’t know personally – such as whoever on your job has a say in your raise or continued employment there, whether that is one person or many. Visitors report that the information is equally accurate for new visitors as it is for the family of regular visitors.

Advice Continue on your current course and you will come to a realization that everything is all right and you are fine as you are. Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

This is a free credit card from the cosmos, people! Judgment means a change, a sudden shift, a new consciousness. The other three cards refer to having money, two of them specifically meaning lots of it.
So Three of Pentacles is income and money coming to (you); Ace of Pentacles is a large sum of money and possessing it (and success, and ‘on the right track’); Empress is being comfortable in an abundant life, having it all. She is grateful. She can be pregnant, too, along with the other forms of ‘fertility.’ She is kind of the female Nine of Cups, except she has all these overtones of being beautiful and fertility.

This Rider Waite Tarot card links spiritual path to having money and to success. I chose it as the cover of my Ebook I wrote a few months ago.
Judgment The resurrection story has several elements which are the core meanings of the Rider Waite Judgment card. A sudden change, a shift of consciousness, recovery or revitalization (‘re-‘ anything), a new life or new phase, a return to a former condition (or ‘again’) and suddenly. It also refers to an announcement, news, a loud sound or shout.
Empress ‘Sitting Pretty.’ Luxury. Comfort. Abundant life, Lady Bountiful. Fertility principle. Beautiful woman, beloved. Pregnant. It’s all in the illustration in Rider Waite Tarot as usual. She has everything and she is gratefully enjoying it on soft cushions.
