Guidance |
Stories about changing lives. Lots of stories – a very full plate. Money changes things, whether it’s enough money for a decent life now, enough to turn things around, whether it’s fast money, or good money … or whether it’s making the best of *what is* for a change. We speak of doing what benefits us: He goes to church because it benefits him; he turns nice when it benefits him. Pursuing what you are entitled to, full speed ahead, is playing by the rules: If it has ‘your name written on it,’ claim and possess it for yourself. Circumstances change people … and that’s you? Mind your driving: We talk about the road and road signs. But the main message here, to me at least, is pursuing what’s real … what’s real to you right now … and that may change down the road. We have both religion and spirituality today too.
Could This Be You?
Picture this: You look at the cards in your spread.
You immediately get an idea because you know a few of them intimately.
AND you know a system that works because you have had a few

LEARN TAROT CARDS BY PICTURES Are you ready to begin learning Tarot Verbatim™? Here your in-depth meanings come alive for each of the three cards! In Tarot Verbatim™, pictures make the meaning, so each card is like a person you know and remember.
WITHOUT THE PICTURES For the true seeker of Tarot knowledge, here is what you need to know about how the three cards in today’s spread affect one another, and how to apply Tarot Verbatim™. Here too the cards come alive, together.
WHERE EACH PHRASE COMES FROM At a glance, with a color for each card, your subconscious picks up on how the sentences of GROUP TAROT CARDS READING came to be. You feel how individual card meanings reach out and blend, unite, into a sentence. (You can learn this – yes, you!) Your subconscious awareness sees the image and its feeling and your conscious awareness sees the language meaning, the text… so your two minds focus together to see 3D, three dimensionally, the same way your two eyes see depth that one eye does not.
PHRASES FOR ALL THREE TWO CARD COMBINATIONS Are you ready for the final step of this revolutionary Tarot Verbatim™ technique? Now to make it exceedingly plain and simple, we list the expressions each pair of cards makes. We list them in paragraph form rather than itemized so that they flow, and your subconscious clicks into place and ‘gets it.’ You may even find flashes of dreams or intuitive realities as you read these, at times.
The Rider Waite Tarot™ deck is a data bank in mass consciousness that your subconscious can communicate with. Tarot Verbatim™ is the Rosetta Stone that makes that communication easy because it is a bridge between conscious and subconscious thought. When both your levels of awareness focus together, you think intuitively in real time in ‘the real world.’
Bon voyage!

Synopsis |
We are closing in on things being the way they should be, being acceptable, being enough, and, yes, we are going to arrive any minute now. This applies across the board to money that you get and money that you are paying out, to getting what you are entitled to, to changes in circumstances. Also, to road trips and driving. It especially applies to the pursuit of what is real (meaning real to you, of course, since it is talking to you).

Ace of Pentacles
Ace of Pentacles is using its orthodox meanings here, mostly about money, price, benefit, wealth, success, and to possess. We also use road, ring, right, better, and the best. There’s gold money in hand over the road. Besides money itself, this image suggests to posses it, to pay it, to have or get it, the price (and the right price, of course), as well as wealth. ‘Benefit’ and ‘reward’ also belong to Ace of Pentacles as synonyms that are used interchangeably with their sister words.
The road is ‘straight and narrow,’ begins in lilies (purity, and ‘right’) and ends in a rose arbor (victory, success), so you have arriving and success as well as being right.
Today the ‘right’ is bolstered by Hierophant, which means should and being right, and also means to be accepted and to be moral, or morality itself. The phrase ‘morally right’ is here with the two of them.
Hierophant means commitment and, with that kind of encouragement, Ace of Pentacles can become a ring – an engagement ring, mostly. The picture suggests a ring.
With Hierophant obviously standing for the church, with Ace of Pentacles, ‘giving to the church’ is here. You could also say Ace of Pentacles is being right, and Hierophant is appearing to be right. The real thing versus the reputation or image. Hierophant is okay, too.
It’s easy to remember Ace of Pentacles with Knight of Swords can say ‘speeding on the road.’ Today, the pope (Hierophant) makes that speed legal and harm-free.
Other basic phrases made by Ace of Pentacles and Hierophant is rightful ownership, or being entitled (Hierophant) to possess (Ace of Pentacles) something.
Knight of Swords
Knight of Swords seems to violate the Laws of Random Distribution by not showing up very often. (He lets Knight of Wands do part of his work?) This is one of the last cards, as a rule, you look at in your spread unless your subject is speed, because this guy means speed. Don’t have to tell you that. Knight of Swords is movement, moving. Even the bushes are moving in the picture. ‘Hotshot fellow’ is his.
He can be pursuing – which is what his picture shows … obviously. But he means running from, doubling back, round trip, leaving-and-returning, going back and forth about anything, commuting, ‘there and back’ as a phrase anywhere, a U-turn, catching up with, closing in on, racing the clock, overtaking, going in a different direction, and even ‘heading for’ and ‘on the way to’ ….
It’s easy to overlook how often this Knight of Swords fellow simply says ‘suddenly.’ He also says ‘immediately.’ He often says ‘change,’ and that can be in a phrase like ‘changed situation.’ Knight of Swords is a rush job, is to be in a hurry, is hot pursuit, is going after something. It means energetic and energy, and can even say ‘throw yourself into’ something, meaning take energetic action.
Some ‘lesser included’ meanings we encounter for this card today are: get moving, fast, record time, switch, and getting out of.
Hierophant
Hierophant occupies the chasm between the way things are supposed to be and the way they are. Hierophant is all about ‘face’ and ‘behave.’ Some of its favorite words are should, ought, conform or conformity, proper, acceptable, okay, approved, and supposed to. Like Ace of Pentacles, Hierophant also means correct and right. Hierophant adds ‘legitimate’ and ‘legitimately’ to that. It’s rare, but Hierophant, with a ‘pay’ theme says ‘retail.’ (The proper price or official price – yes, it’s a stretch.)
Most of Hierophant’s meanings grow out of hypocrisy and whitewash, out of being respectable and following the rules. (It even means the rules, and moral, reputable and respectable, etc).
It also means names and labels, official titles, and the ‘paper’ of ‘Where are your papers?’ Put it next to a marriage card and it’s ‘the paper thing.’ Put it next to relationship cards, and it’s now an official, public, relationship: commitment – which is also one of Hierophant’s words. It says ‘It’s in (your/his, etc.) name … so you are entitled to it. ‘Entitled’ is one of Hierophant’s words. So is ‘rightful.’ Do you see how these grow out of one another? It helps, if you do.
Religions, states, businesses … and people present one face to their public, and the other to ‘people who know.’ This is a secret treaty we all have: “I won’t call you on yours if you don’t call me on mine.” (Violate this treaty at your peril!) If you read theologians writing to one another, you will observe that they are not believing what they are proclaiming, at all. This is the origin, the core meaning, out of which sprouts most of Hierophant’s wording. The illustration shows the pope. The Catholic dogma for the folks was (and is) very different from its spiritual teachings for insiders. The illustration shows the pope doing a ceremony with his underlings, a physical, official event. So the word ‘mundane’ applies. Newspapers used to proclaim ‘All the news that’s fit to print.’ So Hierophant is the straight face version of anything … including me and you – the official story.
By this route, Hierophant is about passing – *passing as respectable* morphs into a passing grade, which goes along with the ‘being acceptable’ meanings.
However … and there’s always a ‘however,’ isn’t there? … Hierophant does mean decent, honest, harmless, doing no harm, being upright, and good. Yes, it can translate ‘good,’ too, referring to a person or a person’s intentions.
Another branch of Hierophant’s meaning tree is that it is about the real physical where-the-rubber-meets-the-road aspect. It translates ‘in the real world.’ This grows out of the fact that the illustration shows a ritual, a physical representation of something. (Watch for Eight of Pentacles where it is meaning ‘hands-on’ to bring up Hierophant meaning ‘the physical part.’
You find Hierophant saying ‘Enough’ fairly often, which kind of grows out of its ‘acceptable’ box of words. Usually in the sense of being satisfied with what is.
If you absorb the core meaning of Hierophant, you won’t have much trouble fitting a word for him into your sentences. You don’t have to memorize: Just absorb this presentation deeply.

Now Without The Pictures |
The spiritual path to the left, Ace of Pentacles; religion to the right in Hierophant (the pope); and between them is a switch from one to the other! – which also can mean pursuing avidly … or fleeing madly. That’s Knight of Swords, of course, our switchy-changey guy.
Money, including a large sum, to the left in Ace of Pentacles; clean or honest, enough, and entitled is to the right in Hierophant; and in between these is the change and pursuit in Knight of Swords. Right now your mind is racing to all the stories these make, even applied to yourself.
Possession (‘mine!’) and success to the left in Ace of Pentacles; the rules, and entitled, to the right in Hierophant; and in between is ‘pursue’ in Knight of Swords. A green light to go get what is naturally and rightly yours.
Hierophant to the right is what’s real, usually in the sense of ‘in the real physical world,’ but today, with Ace of Pentacles to the left meaning the right route to take, and Knight of Swords, once again, pursuing, we have advice to pursue what’s real. We infer that pursuing what’s real is both right (Ace of Pentacles) and decent (Hierophant), sidestepping the old spirituality versus religion chasm.
Hierophant is a name, so it also means a label, and it’s physical. So Ace of Pentacles and Hierophant can said ‘road sign’ and ‘sticker price’ because Ace of Pentacles is a road, and also means a price.
Other subjects these three Tarot citizens discuss here today are money and prices, and then road trips.
