Guidance

You are the type to not do anything halfheartedly. If you start it, you do it all the way – get intensely involved, put serious energy into it, and get the show on the road. You engage the bystanders to join in the competition, fight, struggle or activity wholeheartedly too. In the middle of that production, you leave because you are against it after all. (I think this is an invitation to look before you leap into interests, and maybe to understand why someone abandoned the ship he got you to join.)

WITHOUT THE PICTURES For the true seeker of Tarot knowledge, here is what you need to know about how the three cards in today’s spread affect one another, and how to apply Tarot Verbatim™. Here too the cards come alive, together.

WHERE EACH PHRASE COMES FROM At a glance, with a color for each card, your subconscious picks up on how the sentences of GROUP TAROT CARDS READING came to be. You feel how individual card meanings reach out and blend, unite, into a sentence. (You can learn this – yes, you!) Your subconscious awareness sees the image and its feeling and your conscious awareness sees the language meaning, the text… so your two minds focus together to see 3D, three dimensionally, the same way your two eyes see depth that one eye does not.

PHRASES FOR ALL THREE TWO CARD COMBINATIONS Are you ready for the final step of this revolutionary Tarot Verbatim™ technique? Now to make it exceedingly plain and simple, we list the expressions each pair of cards makes. We list them in paragraph form rather than itemized so that they flow, and your subconscious clicks into place and ‘gets it.’ You may even find flashes of dreams or intuitive realities as you read these, at times.

The Rider Waite Tarot™ deck is a data bank in mass consciousness that your subconscious can communicate with. Tarot Verbatim™ is the Rosetta Stone that makes that communication easy because it is a bridge between conscious and subconscious thought. When both your levels of awareness focus together, you think intuitively in real time in ‘the real world.’

Synopsis

It takes a burst of energy to get something accomplished here, like the way you gas a vehicle at just the right time to get it out of being stuck. That burst of energy is often required to get started, and often required right at the end of the endeavor, the finish line to the race. This is a high-energy day, so let’s get moving right now.

Knight of Wands

Knight of Wands

Today is all about action, and Mr. Knight of Wands is all about rushing into, or rushing out of. He is in a hurry. He is a wholehearted and gung-ho guy: He either pursues full speed ahead making fast progress or he runs away to avoid as fast as he can. Rushes in, rushes out, and in between he rushes through.

Magician

Magician

The picture shows him, the magician, creating an event with his magic tools and his willpower. He reaches to the sky to bring it in, and reaches to the ground to pin it down. His willpower is the channel. Magician starts things and does things, and is male: Those are his three main Tarot jobs. And all that is because, as he 1 he is, esoterically speaking, ‘the male principle’ in the story of the creation of things. The male principle starts the action where he is (a plane) and, as the generating party, is male.

In real Tarot life on the ground, Magician translates any form of the verbs ‘do,’ ‘act,’ and ‘make,’ and their synonyms of course – and words like ‘action.’ He also owns words that mean initiate and start.

He also owns pronouns: I, myself, he, himself. It’s easy to overlook Magician simply translating ‘I do’ or ‘he does.’

Magician makes it happen, and translates that way. He attracts the word ‘get’ in odd ways, like ‘I get myself’ or ‘to get him.’ Today ‘he puts us up to,’ which is off-label.

Five of Wands

Five of Wands

Whatever that activity is, those guys work up a sweat doing it. Five of Wands is all about activity, involvement, fight, struggle, effort, difficult doings, trying hard, and competing. The fight part extends to being against (anything), and the competing extends to the whole world of sports competition and sports activity.

Now Without The Pictures

Five of Wands and Knight of Wands are high-energy. Both are ‘giving it all they’ve got,’ are actively involved.

Magician and Five of Wands are action. Magician is the act, and is doing it – not to mention doing it himself or being the one who does or did it. Five of Wands is doing it exhaustively, trying hard to do it, and engaging in sweaty activity, competing with others even.

Knight of Wands is going fast and Five of Wands is heavy action, so ‘fast and furious’ is a phrase these two make. They also say ‘Leave before the fight starts,’ with Knight of Wands being the leave, or the ‘leave before, and Magician being the ‘starts.’ Five of Wands of course is the fight.

These three cards get together to sing various renditions of ‘Get yourself involved all the way in a hurry’ or ‘Get your blood moving, get on with it, and get ‘er done.’ A pep rally, I guess.

Guidance

This is about succeeding when things are a mess, when you have been taken by surprise, when you take initiative in an out-of-control situation and, by golly, it turns out well.   It is about doing it yourself in a hurry whilst unprepared and there’s no instruction book.   Which is what life is.   We tend not to think of success as what we are currently doing on the fly; we tend to think of success as something we plan, and as a goal.   Well, this says, it’s a process and you’re in it right now while you’re not lookin’.   So give yourself credit for those unplanned achievements: Make the lists now.

Amazing how it is perfect done so fast.

They pay him to travel all over the place to do what he does so well.

He is well paid because he can do so many things so fast.

Amazing that he does it in his exacting way and ships it so quickly.

What you do succeeds right off the bat: We are in shock.

He makes a perfect race, one chance in a million.

He is doing what is right for himself, sloppily and in a hurry.

There’s a bonus for the man who will drive through the storm.

Perfectly executed trip through a blizzard.

All the ways of doing it are right, so hurry up.

Randomly and in a blind rush, I scored.

How the heck did I win when I did it on the fly?

He puts the pieces together instantly and gets the whole picture.

Out of many, only one is right, so we act fast.

He does everything right quickly.

When you get past the confusing part, you do it perfectly all by yourself.

He did it! Shock and awe! He went out and got me a RING!

He gets moving and procures the money ‘out of thin air.’

Action, in the heat of confusion, gets us on course.

Fast action to perfect what is a mess.

You pursue them all to end up with the best one, so I do that.

I am getting myself out of the chaos and onto the right track.

Doing everything perfectly takes energy.

Act fast, anything you do is right!

In a hurry to get all these unrelated things done and done right.

He took out after owning all those things, and he got them too.

Ace of Pentacles

Ace of Pentacles

Here’s this hand with the big prize in it suspended over what is obviously ‘the right path’ which has white lilies in front and a trellis of roses for victory at its end. Meanings are obvious, don’t you think? Success. It is also right, correct, the right way or right road, the right path (or path you are on). It’s money, a prize, a bonus, the reward, and possessing, having it in hand. It also can mean ‘Yes.’

Knight of Wands

Here he is, looking a little scared I think, rushing on a rearing (also nervous) horse. He has his club in his hand, and his clothes are whipped by wind. Knight of Wands is fast, speed, getting ahead, making progress, getting away, getting out of town … and energetically.

Magician

Magician

Here he is, arm raised with the magic wand that makes things happen (or not happen), the tools of his trade on the table before him. The symbol of continuing action is over his head; it is a math symbol. Magician is doing it, pulling it off, creating. Magician is male energy, the male principle – and hence, a man or male. It means any form of the verb ‘do,’ so it means action and therefore is not limited to male doings. So it means ‘I’ as well, and ‘myself’ and ‘do it yourself’ or ‘do it myself.’

Seven of Cups

Seven of Cups

Seven of Cups  depicts Pandora’s Box or the Sorcerer’s Apprentice. A black-robed person is taken aback upon being presented with a motley cloud of mysterious forces. When you know that, you know the meanings are: various unrelated objects or subjects, confusion, miasma and chaos. It is also shock and awe, amazement, being presented with any number of things at once … or in this case (with these particular cards) doing all sorts of things at once. It is also going out of control or losing control of circumstances.

Now Without The Pictures

Ace of Pentacles is success. It is also right, correct, the right way or right road, the right path (or path you are on). It is money, a prize, a bonus, the reward, and possessing, having it in hand.

Magician  is doing it, pulling it off, creating. Magician is male energy, the male principle – and hence, a man or male. It means any form of the verb ‘do,’ so it means action and therefore is not limited to male doings. It means ‘I’ as well, and ‘myself’ and ‘do it yourself’ or ;do it myself.’ It also is any form of the verb ‘make,’ and words like ‘procure’ or ‘bring about.’ You see that as you read the sentences.

The other two cards are what creates all the ‘stories’ here. Knight of Wands is fast, speed, getting ahead, making progress, getting away, getting out of town … and energetically.  Seven of Cups is ‘any old how’ – various unrelated objects or subjects, confusion, miasma and chaos. It is also shock and awe, amazement, being presented with any number of things at once … or in this case (with these particular cards) doing all sorts of things at once. It is also going out of control or losing control of circumstances.

Tarot Readings for You for February 16, 2014 Sunday©

Guidance      To do, or not to do: That is the question today. We explore our underlying assumptions of feminine and masculine. The feminine principle in metaphysics is awareness, thinking, knowing and being – is receptivity, not being active. The masculine principle in metaphysics is doing and the will to do – activity. The metaphysical concept is not about gender but about whether the role being taken is active or receptive, but its concept reflects the way males and females typically act. We describe real life human scenarios about this, things like “You don’t get anywhere and don’t get anything done just sitting around” and “He deliberately runs to do what she won’t do” and “The reason men pursue women is: If the man isn’t interested, he won’t be doing anything anyway.”

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.

Tarot Readings: The Man Pursues the Woman (High Priestess and Knight of Wands)

He is not interested in pursuing another woman.

He takes her passivity as rejection and initiates pursuit.

He does not flee; he introduces himself to the lady.

The reason men pursue women is: If the man isn’t interested, he won’t be doing anything.

He is one to chase women who are not interested.

He is going too fast so the lady ignores his initiatives.

He drives past and there’s no guy there to do anything; she is alone.

He isn’t speeding because she is the passenger.

He gets it done fast because she says not to.

Tarot Readings: Not Doing (Four of Cups and Magician)

She pursues knowing about it but does not actually do it.

She does not run around doing things; she stays put.

You don’t get anywhere and don’t get anything done just sitting around.

You aren’t doing anything when you are pursuing higher education.

She isn’t in any hurry to do it.

What she doesn’t do, he comes over and does.

He is the one who hurries up and does what she leaves undone.

She knows how but she isn’t in any rush to do that.

Pursuing occult knowledge is not the thing to do.

He isn’t in any hurry to get this done: She can wait.

She knows he isn’t going to get this done expeditiously.

He doesn’t do anything fast; you sit there waiting for him.

She knows not to do it; he is the one who – with great energy – does it.

Tarot Readings: Don’t Just Sit There (Four of Cups and High Priestess)

Don’t sit around – get out and do something!

Hurry up or you won’t put the theory into action.

She is not going to let this man get away.

She gets things done without expending any energy.

She is behind the fast progress but she didn’t do it herself.

Girl, if you just sit there and don’t initiate, he will pursue.

He deliberately runs to do what she won’t do.

When he doesn’t do anything, the lady pursues him.

She makes things happen fast but acts like she didn’t do it.

Higher learning is not for him, he is one to get out and do things.

Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Magician

Four of Cups – High Priestess – Knight of Wands

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

High Priestess and Magician High Priestess, esoterically, stands for the feminine principle (being receptive rather than being active on a given plane) and Magician stands for the male principle (action rather than receptivity on a given plane). Magician’s applied meanings are: to do, make, bring about, act, activities, action and being the one who does (whatever). High Priestess’ applied meanings are: to not take action, to know and not act, to possess any deep knowledge, higher education, any area of expertise including spiritual.

In use, the interplay between these two concepts is the somewhat amusing observation that women are prone to understand, think, know, wait, be passive, be less prone to heavy (daring) activity while men are more apt to do without forethought, to act ‘for no reason at all’ and to not understand the import of their actions.

You could also observe that since male hormones are speed (androgen, etc.) while female ones are morphine (endorphin), the male-female relationship is speed to morphine.

So we have a stories of her deliberately not doing something, and him being the one who goes and does it.

Four of Cups and High Priestess   We also have two Rider Waite Tarot cards that mean to be passive and not do anything. Four of Cups is pointedly refusing to do a particular thing, over and over, as the offer or request keeps being made. High Priestess is being in the mode of taking no action about everything generally.

Knight of Wands and Magician… and we have two that do refer to being active. Magician means exactly that: to do, to take action, to bring about. Knight of Wands is to get moving, fast progress, expend energy in the process of some action. So Knight of Wands is active but does not specifically mean ‘do.’

So there’s quite the contrast here about doing versus not doing any particular thing.

High Priestess and Magician in romance. High Priestess also means the other woman and the lady. She waits by the phone and/or is the woman who is ‘too much the lady’ for him in romantic inquiries, often. In romance, Magician is the fellow who calls, who does, who takes initiative … an endangered species these days, the girls report from the field.

Four of Cups and Knight of Wands  You could say Knight of Wands is moving your butt and Four of Cups is sitting on it: once again, activity and non-activity. Knight of Wands means in a hurry, with great energy, to go by (or go to) fast or to speed, to pursue (or flee). Knight of Wands is gung-ho (a Marine). Four of Cups means to refuse, not listen, not accept, disbelieve, to not get through, to not do it but just ‘let it pass.’

= + High Priestess means not doing.  Four of Cups means ‘not’ or ‘refusing to’ and Magician means to do or doing. So they say the same things, things about not doing. This complicated rendering some of the two-card combinations.

Four of Cups One of those ‘it is what it is’ cards in the Rider Waite-Tarot Verbatim ™ system: You don’t have to look at the book to know what it means. Person’s arms are crossed, head and eyes averted, even legs are crossed, as one after another offer is made by the hand in the clouds. Not interested, ain’t gonna, ignoring, it’s not for me – won’t do, isn’t doing, didn’t do …. Like ‘What part of no don’t you understand?’

High Priestess as the feminine principle (in esoteric subject matter) is receptive not active on the physical plane. This is the feminine lady. Her passivity is expressed in such phrases as ‘she is he passenger’ and she doesn’t do, says not do, leaves undone, she can wait, she sits there and she knows not to do. She knows: That is her main theme. She is occult or esoteric knowledge, she is secrets, she is higher learning, she is private, classified and mysterious.

Knight of Wands Another what-you-see-is-what-it-is Rider Waite-Tarot Verbatim ™ citizen. A fellow in armor with a club in one hand and a kind of scared look on his face rides a rearing horse full speed ahead. He is about being in a hurry, pursuing or fleeing, fast progress, speed and speeding. He calls forth phrases like to chase, going too fast, drives past, run around, getting somewhere, when you are pursuing, he comes over, hurries up, in a rush to, expeditiously, do (anything) fast, with great energy, get out and, get away, expending energy, fast progress, deliberately runs, things happen fast, and ‘get out and.’

Magician as the male principle (in esoteric subject matter) is active not receptive on the physical plane. This is the man, sometimes only meaning ‘he.’ He is about will. (In the study of magic, magic is defined as ‘will,’ I understand.) The original creation was an act of will.

His active stance is expressed, in use, in such phrases as initiates, introduces himself, be doing anything, he is the one to, his initiatives, guy there to do anything, he is ___(fill in any active verb)__ing, he gets it done, actually do it, doing things, getting anything done, do it, to do it, does, does what, the thing to do, to get this done, put into action, this man, he will, he deliberately, makes things happen, he is the one to do things. Magician camouflages or goes invisible when it is next to an action card, meaning that, yes, the action spoken of is actually performed.

Magician and Three of Cups

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Knight of Wands Hurry, rush, pursue, post-haste, out of there, getaway, fast progress. Illustration shows a fellow clutching his club as his horse is airborne, his clothes flying in the wind. He is on his way out of there. Or he is in hot pursuit.

Hanged Man Illustration depicts that upside-down sensation you get when a new idea disorients you, and the main meaning of Hanged Man is a new idea or recognition or realization. To click with, to get it, eureka, deja vu, to get the urge to, to sense or get a feeling in your gut, an intense feeling. You know as soon as you see, you recognize the type or the pattern.

Another category of meanings for Hanged Man is the subconscious, paranormal perception, visions and envisioning. These arise from the energy depicted around his head: You know, brain afire?

Magician Stands for the male principle of action. Action as opposed to reflection. (Reflection, High Priestess, is the female principle.) He exerts his masculine will in the ritual to create the desired result. Conjugate the verbs of ‘make’ and ‘do.’ That’s Magician. To bring about. To bring it down or concrete it in action. To be the one to do, as in ‘do it yourself.’ It also sometimes means ‘myself.’ It sometimes means ‘he’ or ‘I.’ That would be the doer of the action.

Three of Cups emphasizes the idea that women pool resources and efforts cooperatively, and amicably share the profits. The girls get together and enjoy one another’s company. The girls have a business, and they are making money and enjoying life. There they are all together in the harvested field, glasses raised. Three of Cups is also a party or celebration, and is party girls.

Advice Whether it’s business or romance, let’s agree together and put everything we’ve got into doing it.  A backer’s influence facilitates getting a contract or agreement done quickly.  She is so devoted to guys she has relationships with that they leave her.  She has a lot of offer a man in a relationship:  Let them pursue her.  She leaves their meeting in a hurry because of what he does, after all she did for him.

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Advice (above ) which is a summary of the Messages. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Reading below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out and decide whether to encourage or suppress them.  They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It is a group message like a horoscope,  except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is  “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Knight of Wands Three of Pentacles – Queen of Pentacles – Magician     LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING     Three of Pentacles is often ‘doing one’s part’ in a deal, contract, relationship or meeting; and Magician is doing. Knight of Wands is in a hurry, is energetic or gung ho (get the show on the road) about something, and is also on the road out of town.   Meanwhile, Queen of Pentacles contributes, influences, or backs.   Knight of Wands is pursuing and Queen of Pentacles is the woman who takes care, is generous, supports and ‘has it all’ – is ‘everything a guy could want’; the remaining cards there have him initiating a relationship.   So once again our stories parallel business and love affairs. Easy to do when Three of Pentacles means a relationship or a deal.   (Of course, if we had a question, the answer would apply to the contents of the question, and probably be one or the other.)     LEARN TAROT BY THE PICTURES

Three of Pentacles shows an architect doing final inspection in a meeting with his clients (a priest and a nun) before the final payment on his contract with his clients. The blueprint demonstrates he did it, and they settle up. Doing one’s part fair and square in a deal with others one is involved with is the Three of Pentacles. A meeting of the minds, an agreement.
Queen of Pentacles A skilled and talented and competent woman loyally backs her husband in an enterprise. She influences, she contributes, she manages a profit, takes care of him and his business. Sometimes it is her business, of course. Stereotype is the Italian matriarch. Queen of Pentacles tends to be an emotional outgoing person who is very confident and opinionated.
Magician gets it done. He is the male principle of action, who concretes the blueprint into physical form. He initiates, makes the first move, is the one who does it, causes it to happen, brings it about, etc. Magician also mean ‘I’ and ‘myself’ fairly often. The illustration shows a magician with the tools of his trade, his wand arm raised to bring some action about.
Knight of Wands Fast progress, energetically, getting on the road, going out of town, being in a hurry, leaves or left, quickly or a rush. Knight of Wands is prone to idioms (slang) such as : takes it from there, show on the road, in transit, full speed ahead and goes out of his way. His illustration is a knight with a club going full speed, his horse with two front feet in the air.

Advice Women get together and get things done out of sight of the menfolk.  There’s a sisterhood that operates as a co-op when no guy has a part in the deal.  He senses that the womenfolk are in agreement about him when he’s not around.  The girls are glad he didn’t want to share their doings,  now there’s more for them.  He sees the woman he left behind making fast progress.  But some fellows rush right over;  they have the idea to join in the woman’s enterprise. (At the time of production,  there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation.  I am writing around it now!) Is this the first time you come here?  Well … what to do:

*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages.  (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Reading below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Three of Cups Knight of Wands –  Hanged Man –  Magician   GROUP ANALYTICAL TAROT READING Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them. Chasing Women is On his mind (Knight of Wands + Three of Cups + Hanged Man) Gets the urge to run over and join the girls,  and does. Knows a party when he sees one,  he rushes right over. He quickly gets the idea what he can do to be the guy who shares life with her. Acting quickly to click with the gals. Senses what to do to be accepted as one of the girls,  and does it in a hurry. Recognize him as the type to chase after the action with the good-time girls. All he’s got on his mind is chasing women. Woman Run from Him,  they Know (Knight of Wands + Three of Cups + Hanged Man) Women run from him,  they know what he is up to. Realizes doing that will make the girls leave. The women realize what he is doing when he is out of town. The girls see Mr. I’m In a Hurry to Do It when they look at him. When he is gone the women are together in their thoughts about his doings. The girls realize they can do for themselves,  and leave him in the dust. The minute the women know he is doing that,  they are getting themselves out of there. Idea to Get Together in Business with Girl Friends (Hanged Man + Three of Cups) Her idea to get together with some friends and make a profit,  which she did in a hurry. As soon as we realized we could be in business together,  we got moving on it and did. The idea of women making money at party sales takes off:  They enjoy doing it. Recognize that it’s the women who make the fastest progress doing co-ops. It was his idea to do that,  but the girls took it and ran with it. The women are making money fast,  we knew they could do it. Some fellows rush right over with the idea to join in the women’s enterprises. He gets the idea of going into business with women and is in a hurry to do it. Women take the initiative with this idea and run with it. He Leaves,  and the Women Prosper by Themselves (Knight of Wands + Three of Cups) He got the idea he would travel faster by himself,  and left the womenfolk behind. He realized what he would have to do to keep the women in the good life,  and he left. When the menfolk get themselves out of the way,  women are a sisterhood. The women of the family do it themselves,  they know he is on his way out. As soon as he did that,  we knew he would be leaving us to fend for ourselves:  Yay! Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little,  or a lot,  about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works?  If so,

*Go to Meanings and Illustrations:  Observation of the Spread section below.  This tells about the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together to mean things.

*Go to Meanings and Illustrations:  Individual Rider Waite Tarot Cards.  It is what each of the four cards,  by itself,  has to say.  It describes how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works.

Our Daily Spread for May 14, 2011

THIS WEEKEND’S QUESTION IS: WHAT SHOULD I BE PAYING ATTENTION TO NOW?

Is this the first time you come here? Well …

HOW TO USE THE MATERIAL WE HAVE FOR YOU HERE. Read the sentences, and pick out the ones that seem to apply to you, to the people around you. They are a Tarot analysis of your day’s circumstances. As the day (or several days) unfolds, you may find the information is relevant. Some of this information refers to a longer time period. The question is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.” Often, your adopting the attitude you feel in the blog works for your day! Some days are ‘keep an eye open’ and some are ‘green lights.’

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean even contradictory things. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are less specific, more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. Especially when a pronoun is in parentheses, feel free to substitute.

The Advice section sums up a general meaning of all the sentences. It is the favorite of most of us.

Knight of Wands

Six of Cups, Sun, Mag

Meanings and Illustrations: Observation of the Spread

Another bunch of happy Tarot citizens together here. Two happy spreads in a row. Is this going to be a great weekend for us? We begin with the two cards that feature children and are associated – in very different ways – with ‘home.’ Sun is about escaping the restrictions of house rules, being reckless, uninhibited, having fun like a kid, whereas Six of Cups is a sentimental card about childhood generally.

We have two Tarot fellas here that mean ‘to leave home.’   That would be Sun and Knight of Wands. Yes, in different ways. Knight of Wands is a ‘get out of there’ card, whereas, as we said

above, Sun is to get out, have fun, escape.

The other card is the Magician, male who is doing, which is also the fourth card in this spread that features a male person.

Meanings and Illustrations: Individual Rider Waite Tarot Cards

Six of Cups: Home sweet home. Children or child or sibling(s). Romance. Gift. Boy gives girl ____. An old fashioned quaint house or neighborhood. House hunting? – this is the one with the good vibe. It means good atmosphere.

The sky is blue, and the little boy is giving his sweetheart little girl flowers in front of an apartment building or a mansion. Colors are pastel, lines are curvy. This is one of the most pleasant illustrations in the Rider Waite Tarot deck.

This is an entirely good card, with an entirely good feeling to it. This is a yes to those girls’ questions about ‘Will he give me.’ It stands for birthday, too. Six of cups is about memories, nostalgia, the past, the good old days. It is about a gift (valentine and birthday, especially). It is about one’s own childhood; about being a good girl or good boy. It means innocent or innocence or being naïve. It indicates Spring if you have asked ‘when.’

Sun: Several meanings here, which – as usual with the Rider Waite Tarot Verbatim system – grow out of the illustration. Story there is: Unclothed and uninhibited boy-child escapes from the home and its rules to cavort upon a mischievous evil-eyed pony . ‘Tis a sunny day and flowers are blooming in the summer. Where did the kid get the banner flag? He is having a very short-lived good time, the little brat is. The pony has enough of this nonsense. (The character of the pony does not get expressed in the meanings of this Tarot card.)

Meanings for Sun are: a brat, a boy child, a child or childish person, to be free of restrictions, to be free or freedom, fun, vacation, escape, to leave the house or home, uninhibited, ‘let your hair down,’ to be happy. Sun indicates joy, being young, sunshine (which shows up in medical questions), getting out, getting out in the sun, being reckless, being a player, breaking the rules.

Magician: male who acts, is doing, brings about, takes initiative, makes, starts up, brings down. Magician means any form of the words ‘to do’ or ‘make’ or ‘bring about,’ ‘bring down’ or ‘initiate’ or ‘start.’ It can instruct the reader to place the sentence in the form of a command.

The first four Rider Waite Tarot cards have a heavy occult significance that creates some meanings of Magician. Magician stands for the male principle.

Illustration shows a magician with the tools of his trade: sword, cup, pentagram/pentacle, wand. He is doing a spell, making something happen.

Knight of Wands: Boogety-boogety outa town. He is in a hurry in either pursuit or flight. This card could be the ‘hot pursuit’ of police parlance. This is often the fellow pursuing the girl. Or fleeing the girl. The illustration supports fleeing more than pursuing, but in action the card will mean each. (Remember, I observe the Tarot Verbatim meanings; I don’t create them.) Haste. Speeding (with Chariot = speeding vehicle).

Illustration is a knight on a horse galloping. Knight is not brandishing his weapon (Yeah, a board.) but is hurrying. He seems young and has an uncertain look on his face. This drawing suggests a retreat more than pursuing, but in actual use this card is about moving, getting on, travel on the road and pursuing something as well as ‘gettin’ out of dodge.’

=====================================================================

Advice: We asked what we should best pay attention to. This is the second day the answer is ‘Pay attention to, put your energy and effort into, enjoying: enjoying life, fun things, getting out in the sunshine and moving around. “Get out and make some happy memories” is my favorite. These four cards say these same things emphatically, and say nothing more! Read the list!
