This Rider Waite Tarot card, in Tarot Verbatim™ is the opposite of Ace of Pentacles which shows a positive correlation between ‘the right path’ and ‘money in your hand.’
Dark Night of the Soul is a spiritual phase that precedes going into the next level up of consciousness. It is a time when you are dissatisfied with yourself and see the lack in yourself of what it is you are about to receive. Ste. Teresa d’Avila expounds on this ‘abandoned by God’ feeling in Interior Castles, considered the foremost mystical writing of Western culture by the folks in the universities who get to say that. She called it ‘aridity,’ in fifteenth-century idiomatic (slang) Spanish, translating ‘dryness.’
World has graduated into higher consciousness and lives on another plane from ‘the rest of us.’ World is being the kind of person trouble avoids, the person the mugger does not notice. World is truly being in a world of your own, dancing to an internal drummer. The wreath around the dancing figure represents the barrier between planes. On the outside of the barrier reef are various occult and human critters that are shut out.
Ten of Pentacles This is where we live. This is the in-laws, the trash neighbors, the abusive marriage, the Mafia and the politicians we find ourselves in the midst of. Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things, especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. When you are a loving person who connects to God, you have a buffer between yourself and the scenes and the people who are in the dark and are unloving to one another.
When you don’t connect with dark sides and you do connect with what is uplifting, you are in a world of your own invisible to people who would clutter your life with theirs.
Having gone through Dark Night of the Soul, people who are trouble just don’t connect with you, are not in your sphere.

HOW TO USE THE MATERIAL WE HAVE FOR YOU HERE. Read the sentences, and pick out the ones that seem to apply to you, to the people around you. They are a Tarot analysis of your day’s circumstances. As the day (or several days) unfolds, you may find the information is relevant. The question is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.” Often, your adopting the attitude you feel in the blog works for your day!

Meanings and Illustrations:
Well, look-a-here. Count ’em. One-two-three cards in a row that each mean protection and security. Then the fourth is the secret enemy, phony friend, backstabbing acquaintance. Well, we get the picture, don’t we? This is not going to be one of those spreads that has many applications and means far-flung things. This is a situation we humans meet with early, when we are still wearing baby clothes. So today’s message is good news.
World card is about being shielded from all the bad stuff by being above it, by being disinterested in and ignoring all that glitters – by being spiritually superior to the hazards on all planes. If you don’t want something for nothing you don’t have that ‘handle,’ that receptor the predator docks onto. You are below its radar. But the shield is not just World’s wall of disinterest; it is also her positive interest in other things: World is in her own world dancing with her wands, is doing her own thing.
Two of Wands: We continue the theme of being secure from interference by being above it (literally now: the mogul is on the rooftop contemplating the world of real estate below whilst having the world in his hands). World is secure spiritually. Two of Wands is secure financially as a base of power and influence: He can not only see the Big Picture, he can draw it. He is deciding on the future of his real estate holdings down there. He has a plan, he is in control.
Lovers: Protection comes from above, from the guardian angel, in this third card. Once again, there’s a connection to Higher Consciousness, to divine protection. But this card means to connect, to partner up or being a partner, rather than to insulate, ignore, shut out or be unavailable as the others do. This card shows the Adam and Eve story which is about succumbing to temptation, not about being above it.
The snake is in the tree on Eve’s side there, and the volcano brings potential eruptions of passion.
Six of Wands: Speaking of the snake in the tree, there he is, the friendly guy bearing concealed consequences. The charlatan who says he won the election is going to sell you and your country behind your back. The illustration is about King Richard III’s betrayal to the Arabs so some other guy could control England.

Advice is (1) You live in a space that is inconvenient to low life form, that is above its level, so you are not seen as appetizing prey under its nose and it doesn’t reach you to connect with you; and then (2) you make sure you don’t make that connection yourself, don’t let motives such as curiosity, sympathy or self-interest (a bargain!) on your part open the door to trouble. Sounds like the Pandora’s Box story, doesn’t it?

Practical Perspective: She dissociates herself from any connection but they keep fighting. She keeps trying to connect with God and shut out low life stuff. She is in a Higher Consciousness world of her own as she goes through her routine. Whatever kind of fight you mount against her, there’s no connecting, no getting through her defenses. An exercise routine with her partner (a trainer?) keeps her body beautiful. Her connection to God keeps the bad people and spirits out; it’s an ongoing struggle. The couple’s foolish activity doesn’t disturb her. Her immune system fights off one contact after another. She does not even have to try hard to make partner. With her connections, she is above the routine of competing. Romance Perspective: He keeps trying to contact her, but she shuts him out. Whenever she shuts him out, he tries hard to be her lover. Whenever there’s a lover’s quarrel, she doesn’t know him. The advice here is to stay out of a fight or competition, that you have something going for you, some connection, that keeps you ‘above the fray.’ Don’t let other people’s fights affect you, stay out of it. You don’t get down into the trenches to grub for, say, a promotion: You are clearly the leading and superior person. A similar thing is going on in mental and spiritual categories for you today: Keep your mind elevated and your view on the bigger (better) picture. “Don’t let it get to you.”
Meanings and Illustrations:
We start with Two of Pentacles which has the illustration of a person juggling two items back and forth which are attached with an infinity sign, which is a mathematical sign. Sooo it obviously means ‘back and forth forever.’ Behind the figure are ships tossed up and down on waves, which lends the meaning up ‘going up and down’ and instability … and nausea. It often stands for the word ‘keep’ followed by an action word, such as ‘keep fighting’ when the next card means fighting. It also stands for a cycle or a routine. You get the concept, don’t you? This is one of the easy cards! Next we have World, which contains the idea of not letting bad influences in, and therefore being superior. You can see the lady has a barrier between her and all those bad entities outside the wreath. In the occult, this stands for being ‘a master of both worlds,’ which of course is a master operator. She is dissociated from and not influenced by, and is above lower-level, low-class folks and vibes. She also can be a woman with a beautiful body, obviously, since she is unclothed and dancing. Next is Lovers. Lovers in Rider Waite Tarot has complex meanings, besides the obvious. ‘Connection’ and ‘contact’ are key words for it. It also can refer to divine or angelic protection – See the illustration, in which the angel’s outspread wings above the couple is featured – and higher consciousness, arising from ‘connection’ and ‘God’ meanings. It is used for ‘partner’ things as well. So, World and Lovers are both about higher consciousness, each in its opposite way: Lovers is about staying connected to higher thought, and World is about not having any connection to the lower elements.
