Tarot Readings for You for December 10, 2013 Tuesday©

Guidance     is about fighting for what you want and defending yourself from others who want you or want what you have. What one person sees as getting ahead is an invasion of another’s fiefdom. In the same vein, lovers sometimes choose someone who is desirable precisely because he or she is unavailable. Pestering a person who has the mindset of preferring what is unavailable is counterproductive. In a similar vein, we want a spiritual life but prefer that God not interfere with our preferences too much while He is looking out for us and ensuring us the good life.

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Nine of Cups – Seven of Wands – Two of Pentacles

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Nine of Cups and Two of Pentacles appeared yesterday too. There’s a violation of the Laws of Random Distribution.

Seven of Wands and Two of Pentacles both involve persistence. That is as close as we come to a theme. However, these four Rider Waite Tarot cards make many common phrases, which is why we have so many sentences. So distinct are the meanings of these four Tarot cards that it is easier than usual to identify which phrases were produced by which cards.

Nine of Cups and Two of Pentacles are having one thing after another that you want, continually having your way. Nine of Cups is getting what you want, and Two of Pentacles is continuing action, one thing after another. Nine of Cups is also about pleasing or being pleased, being glad or satisfied, even content, as well as the ‘having it all’ meanings.

Seven of Wands and Lovers can talk about hitting up someone to be your lover, or to contact or connect with you, defending yourself from someone’s intrusion or sexual pressures, and maybe even about angels fighting on your side. Seven of Wands is the intrusion, invasion, is have someone beat your door down (or doing same to them), or hit on you (romantically), confrontation, struggle, fight. Lovers is to connect, contact, is protection, is higher ups or angelic or divine protection. Lovers refers to connection to God, partners, of of course lovers.

Nine of Cups Having it all even to excess. Safunsified. Pleased or pleasing another. What you really want. This is one of the simple cards with few meanings, and its illustration is immediately clear as to its meaning: The plump dude with the satiated grin and on the mantel behind him are ten empty cups. Burp.

Seven of Wands struggles against others for what he perceives as his, defends himself against intrusion or invasion, pressures or is pressured. Clearing your turf against all comers, whatever the odds, is suggested by the illustration of a landowner facing down six armed invaders of his turf on very short notice. (He isn’t dressed.)

Two of Pentacles goes on forever over and over again with the same silly routine. Up and down, back and forth, ’round and ’round, tossed this way and that on those waves. The juggler has a symbol of continual repetition (from mathematics) connecting his plates, and he is dressed in a getup with a dunce cap.

Lovers has several applications. Connection. Contact. Partners. Protection. Overseeing. Divine or angelic influence or protection. Love partnership or relationship, life partners, lovers. Illustration shows an angel, the noon sun behind him, overseeing and protecting Adam and Eve. Adam has the tree of life and Eve gets the tree with the snake. A volcano for passion is behind them.

Tarot Readings for You for November 18, 2013 Monday©

Guidance      You stand up to the dark side inside or outside yourself, you win.  The big announcement is:  Whatever the biggest problem is, this is where your luck is:  Push hard there and the cosmic vending machine will send what you select down the chute.  The same messages produce the idea of enjoying the challenge, the fight, with the dark side, with bullies of all stripes.  “Aren’t you pleased that you are standing up to the downside?” is my favorite.  Enjoy resisting cravings and addictions. Cowardly lion no more. Today is adventure, troops!

Tarot Readings: Satisfaction About the Problem (Nine of Cups and Devil)

Whatever difficulty you are struggling with now, all of it goes your way.

I thought it was such a big problem, but when I raised hell, I got satisfaction.

Yes, the showdown was stressful, but you got your way, didn’t you?

Is it a problem for you to fight to get what you want?

If I could fight this craving, I would have the life I want.

I seem to get exactly what I want when I resist my dark side.

I guess I’m satisfied; I fought my devil and I won.

Tarot Readings: The Joy of Combat (Nine of Cups and Seven of Wands)

I seem to be struggling against what I really want like it’s the enemy.

Aren’t you pleased that you are standing up to the downside?

I thought I was defending myself, but now I want to get really vicious.

I think the worst part of the abuse I face is: I enjoy the challenge.

Do you really want to be in this nasty fight? You will win it.

What is this joy of battle I am feeling? – It’s addicting.

Maybe I really want to do some harm in this battle I find myself in.

Is he demanding his space like you’re his enemy? – let him have it, grant his wish.

I seem to enjoy getting in the bad guys’ face.

Why am I feeling so mean? – because I want to defend myself.

I will get what I want if I go face to face with the opponent. Am pondering this.

I think the worst that can happen would be:  I get to scream and holler.

Why do I consider getting in his ugly face with such satisfaction?

Does he really want to fight me when I’m PMSing … goood!

They won’t be so sure they want to fight when you fight dirty.

If it is evil we are fighting against, bring it on.

Tarot Readings: Pondering the Problems (Seven of Pentacles and Devil)

Is the worst part when I enjoyed his hissyfit?

I wished a bad thing on someone who seems to be confronted with it now.

Sooo, does he enjoy being an obnoxious deviate?

Does he really get satisfaction out of being aggressively rude?

He is such a pushy mouthy low-rent dude: Why do I want him?

Why does he enjoy harassing people when he is drunk/high?

So, am I ugly? – that is the last thing I want or will let happen.

I guess he wants it all and will do any lowdown thing to get it.

Devil

Nine of Cups – Seven of Pentacles – Seven of Wands

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Here we describe the awakening to the joy of combat of a soul who perhaps enjoys peace to the point of compromising. The joy of combat is Nine of Cups and Seven of Wands – Nine of Cups (enjoy, satisfaction) and Seven of Wands (to stand up for yourself).

Seven of Pentacles and Devil: The awakening is pondering (Seven of Pentacles) a bad situation or a problem person … or evil person, or an evil situation (Devil) …

Seven of Wands and Seven of Pentacles: … that is aggressively in your face (Seven of Wands), and asking yourself if (Seven of Pentacles) …

Nine of Cups and Seven of Wands: … you want to fight this (Seven of Wands). Notice that a sentence can use two different meanings of the same card sometimes: Seven of Wands is ‘in your face’ and is ‘fight this.’ That’s because Seven of Wands means both to be interfered with or invaded and to defend yourself against same.

Seven of Wands and Devil: Fighting your devil, you win. (Seven of Wands, fighting; Devil, your devil; Nine of Cups, you win.)

Seven of Pentacles and Nine of Cups: Then we describe the aftermath of the battle, the plaintive questioning and pondering (Seven of Pentacles) of ‘Did I really enjoy that fight?’ (Seven of Pentacles, ‘Did I,’ Nine of Cups, ‘really enjoy’ and Seven of Wands, that fight. Note that ‘Did I really enjoy that fight?’ uses the same two cards that mean the joy of combat, Nine of Cups and Seven of Wands.

Going back to Seven of Wands and Devil, these two cards can describe a knock-down drag-out fight involving defense against someone or something extreme, ugly, vicious or evil – including a bad habit or addiction.

= Did you notice that Devil and Seven of Wands both mean ‘obnoxious’? Devil means that directly and Seven of Wands is acting obnoxiously.

OTHER MEANINGS

Other meanings of Nine of Cups and Seven of Pentacles are: Is this really what you want? Enjoy speculating about something. What if I got what I am wishing for?

Seven of Wands and Seven of Pentacles also mean: Maybe I should stand up for myself. Is he really going to get in my face? Why is (he) so obnoxious?

Nine of Cups and Seven of Wands also mean: get between you and what you really want, want to fight or enjoy the fight, and fight for what you want. I enjoyed his hissyfit.

Seven of Pentacles and Devil also mean: Is it really that bad? Why is (he) so nasty? Am I ugly? Is that the worst part?

Seven of Wands and Devil also mean: confronted with a bad situation, fight my devil, defend myself against the bad guy(s), rude and obnoxious, a dirty fight, and get in my face when I’m PMSing.

Nine of Cups “Your wish is granted” is Nine of Cups in just about any self-respecting Tarot deck.  The illustration evokes that Thanksgiving ‘I et the whole thing’ feeling.  It shows a chubby fella with a big grin, the nine empty cups he drained on display. Nine of Cups also means greed, excess, consumerism, satiety, gluttony, pigging out … but not today. Today it speaks of enjoyment, of winning, and of wanting to.

Seven of Pentacles Hmmm.  That’s what it means, you know, ‘Hmmm.’  He is pondering and wondering whether his cucumbers will produce a crop, whether both genders of plant are present. Today it’s about ‘Did I really?’

Seven of Wands Mad as hell, he is, and in someone’s face demanding his space.  The mouthy pushy adolescent of any age and gender, obstreperous and obnoxious, intrusive and loud. But this Rider Waite Tarot card also embraces defending yourself, defending your position, defending a cause, as well as defending your space or turf.  So the ‘mad as hell and won’t take it anymore’ can be justified or not justified.  Illustration shows just that: someone defending his place from a number of intruders who intend to make it theirs.

Devil represents the concept that being attached to dark-side anything (things, people, substances, concepts, attitudes, feelings) is voluntary;  your chains are loose.  Devil also refers to fear, the enemy, the problem, nasty, ugly, rage, killing, hate, perversions, lust and the word ‘hideous.’ but it doesn’t have to be a ‘bad card’; it also can be about physical and about an attachment of one thing to another, like papers clipped together.

Our Daily Spread for December 10, 2011 Saturday ©

Advice is about fighting for what you want and defending yourself from others who want you or want what you have.  What one person sees as getting ahead is an invasion of another’s fiefdom.  In the same vein,  lovers want someone who is desirable precisely because he or she is unavailable.  Pestering a person who has the mindset of preferring what is unavailable is counterproductive.  In a similar vein,  we want a spiritual life but prefer that God not interfere with our preferences too much while He is looking out for us and making us the good life.   (At the time of production, there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation. I am writing around it now!) Is this the first time you come here?  Well … what to do:

*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages.  (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Reading below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out.  They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It  is a group message like a horoscope,  except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is  “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Lovers Nine of Cups –  Seven of Wands –  Two of Pentacles   MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD Well, darn.  Nine of Cups and Two of Pentacles appeared yesterday.  Interesting, there are 78 of those cards.   The closest we come to a theme is that both Seven of Wands and Two of Pentacles involve some persistence.   We have lots of cards who link up with common phrases,  though,  so we have lots of sentences.  Nine of Cups is getting what you want,  being glad or satisfied,  content , having it all and Two of Pentacles is continuing action,  one thing after another in a cycle or phase or continuum.  So having one thing after another that you want,  continually having your way.   Seven of Wands is intrusion,  invasion,  beating someone’s door down or hitting on them,  confrontation,  struggle,  fight.  Lovers is connect,  contact,  protection,  higher ups,  angelic or divine protection,  connection to God,  partners and of course lovers.  So the two can mean hitting up someone to be your lover,  defending yourself from someone’s hitting on you.   The meanings of these four are so distinct that this spread is easier than most to identify which phrases were produced by which cards.   MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS Nine of Cups Having it all even to excess. Clearing your turf against all comers,  whatever the odds is suggested in the illustration of a landowner facing down six armed invaders of his turf on very short notice.  (He isn’t dressed.)   Two of Pentacles goes on forever over and over again the same silly routine. Illustration shows an angel,  the fun sun behind him,  overseeing and protecting Adam and Eve.  Adam has the tree of life and Eve gets the tree with the snake.  A volcano for passion is behind them.   All the material on this blog is copyrighted.  No use or copying of any part of this material is permitted without written permission of Emily,  its author.  ©

Our Daily Spread for November 18, 2011 Friday ©

Advice announces you will win if you stand up to the dark side inside or outside yourself.  The big announcement is:  Whatever the biggest problem is,  is where your luck is:  Push hard there and the cosmic vending machine will send what you select down the chute.

(At the time of production, there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation.  I am writing around it now!)

Is this the first time you come here?  Well … what to do:

*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below.

Devil

Nine of Cups  –  Seven of Pentacles  –  Seven of Wands

(All the cards show males,  but these messages apply to both genders.  I just went with  ‘he’  and  ‘him.’)

DAILY MESSAGE TAROT ANALYSIS  Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Problem-Resolved-Wonderfully Perspective (Nine of Cups + Devil)

Regarding whatever problem you are struggling with:  It goes your way,  all your way!

Wherever things are hardest for you,  push there for the best satisfying experience ever!

You thought you were facing a big problem but you got exactly what you wanted.

Well,  the showdown was a stressful experience,  wasn’t it?  –  but you got your way.

Can you fight for what you want and get it,  or is that a problem for you?

I believe you can fight that craving and have the life you want.

All you have to do is resist your evil side to be what you want to be,  you know?

I guess I fought my devil and won,  because I am satisfied with myself.

Struggle,  Combat,  Fight Perspective (Seven of Wands)

Do you really want this nasty fight?  –  you will win.

What is this joy of battle I am feeling?  –  It’s addicting.

Oh?  It wants to fight?  I’m feeling nasty!

Why am I feeling so mean?  –  because I want to defend myself?

Did I really get that wicked when I would not let him come in:  Yeah …!

Why do I consider getting directly in the face of the enemy with such satisfaction?

I think the worst that can happen would be:  I get him to scream and holler.

If you get in the bad guys’  face combatively,  you will get what you want.

He seems to be struggling against what he really wants like it’s the enemy.

Aren’t you pleased that you are standing up to the downside?

If it is evil we are fighting against,  bring it on!

Want to do harm in this battle now,  I guess.

I thought I was defending myself,  but now I want to get really vicious.

I will get what I want if I go face to face with the enemy.  Pondering this.

Well,  I thought I was defending myself … then I wanted to kill.

I guess if it’s a battle to the death,  I want it.

Is he demanding his space like you’re his enemy?  –  let him have it,  grant his wish.

I think the worst part of the abuse I face is:  enjoying the challenge.

Questions to Ponder Perspective (Seven of Pentacles)

Why does he get such satisfaction out of being aggressively rude and obnoxious?

He is such a pushy mouthy low-rent dude:  Why do I want him?

Why does he enjoy harassing people when he is drunk/high?

I guess he wants it all and will do any deviate and evil thing to get it.

I guess we gotta do something about those greedy evildoers.

Sooo,  does he enjoy being an obnoxious deviate?

Is the worst part when I enjoyed his hissyfit?

So,  am I ugly?  –  that is the last thing I want or will let happen.

I wished a bad thing on him,  I guess he is confronted with it now.

Devil

Nine of Cups  –  Seven of Pentacles  –  Seven of Wands

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

Wow!  This is different.  This was fun to type up,  quick too.  Starting with  “Your wish is granted,”  (Every deck I know of has this meaning for Nine of Cups.),  we go to Seven of Pentacles which is wondering and figuring things out,  pondering.

Then come two cards that  –  especially when combined  –  mean a knock-down,  drag-out battle involving defense and something extreme.  Now we got a story going!  –  some kind of nasty battle,  because Devil is  ‘most anything nasty,  ugly,  evil … you know,  a devil of a time?

I see this as an awakening to the joy of combat of a soul who valued peace to the point of cowardice.  Girls are like that a lot of the time,  those of us who aren’t overtly bloodthirsty?

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Nine of Cups,  as I said,  means  “Your wish is granted”  in just about any self-respecting Tarot deck.  The illustration evokes that Thanksgiving  ‘I et the whole thing’  feeling.  It shows a chubby fella with a big grin,  nine empty cups he drained.  Bet you can guess,  from the grin,  what was in them?  So Nine of Cups also means greed,  excess,  consumerism,  satiety,  gluttony,  pigging out … but not today.

Seven of Pentacles Hmmm.  That’s what it means,  you know,  ‘Hmmm.’  He is pondering and wondering whether his cucumbers will produce a crop,  whether both genders of plant are present.

Seven of Wands Mad as hell,  he is,  and in someone’s face demanding his space.  The mouthy pushy adolescent of any age and gender,  obstreperous and obnoxious,  intrusive and loud.  But this Rider Waite Tarot card also embraces defending yourself,  defending your position,  defending a cause,  defending your space or turf.  So the  ‘mad as hell and won’t take it anymore’  can be justified or not.  Illustration shows just that:  someone defending his place from a number of intruders who think it’s theirs.

Devil stands for the concept that being attached to dark-side anything (things,  people,  substances,  concepts,  attitudes,  feelings) is voluntary;  your chains are loose.

=================================================================================== MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD Sun is leaving the place; High Priestess is staying put. High Priestess is passive; Seven of Wands is aggressive. Nine of Cups and Sun both involve happiness. Nine of Cups says one party (at least) is totally satisfied. The lady High Priestess is not acting, Sun is having fun, is free, and is a child or baby; Seven of Wands is pushing and struggling. These are the elements out of which we spin our story for the day. MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS Sun is a kid having fun recklessly, uninhibitedly, is free and charming. Illustration in Rider Waite show a child on a smirking pony at high noon out in the back yard naked with a huge banner flag in one hand. High Priestess is knowing, is passive, stays put, is a lady. Her illustration in Rider Wait Tarot shows all the trappings of Kaballah, the book of knowledge in her lap, and her serene alert expression. She sits upright. Seven of Wands struggles, pushes, protests, raises hell. Those are its meanings we use today anyway. He is pictured defending himself against several neighbors who are invading his land. Nine of Cups is the ‘Your wish is granted’ Tarot citizen. This is the dream come true, this is what you want. Illustration shows a heavyset fella looking mighty satisfied, he seems to have drunk all those huge cups on his mantle, to have stuffed himself, and has that feeling we get on Thanksgiving in the U. S. All material on this blog is copyrighted.
