Guidance

We find ways. We find ways when we are broke to get together with our people. We find a house in a neighborhood we can afford, a fixer-upper maybe. We make a good home life on a shoestring. We do without for the sake of family. Everyone’s path includes some Dark Night of the Soul, and I am a friend to people who are in need as much as I am to people who are doing well. You guys feel inferior when the truth is, you are as good as the rest of us.

Synopsis

A person who is all about solitude feels as stressed in the company of a bunch of people as a person who is a natural-born joiner feels in solitude. The group leaves you cold when your real life is internal. One man can see how his marriage is draining him of life, and another misses being married and is out looking. But even if you are a hermit, your people comfort you when you are down.

Four of Wands

Four of Wands

A socially prominent respectable family – the foundation and leaders of the town – is hosting the public part of a wedding ceremony: That’s our picture. The ‘family’ theme extends to any group or organization or Company – any kind and any size of group of people, from neighborhood to national or international.

As a wedding, Four of Wands starts with the marriage and the couple, of course. Naturally, Four of Wands means the good sensible solid people of the society (any society, anywhere). But it also (as its twin ‘family’ card does) means ‘everybody.’ Today it is a crowd, and the people who are in good shape, who are doing well, who are ‘as good as anyone else.’ It also represents a good home life.

Four of Wands is a house or building, including a public building. Today, that makes it a treatment center or a religious organization, with Hermit as the religious part.

Hermit

Hermit

This (service order) monk goes out at night with a light as a beacon for travelers on the road, to help them or invite them in for dinner. So Hermit is coming to the aid of, helping out, looking or searching or seeking, a religious person, being decent and wise, and also being a doctor or healer. He is dressed as a doctor of the middle ages’ time. Hermit is a trip on the road, usually pedestrian. Hermit also can refer to winter, snow, cold, mountains, nighttime, and carrying a light (flashlight, headlight, etc.).

Hermit owns the virtues and attributes of a service monk: being devoted, being alone, being humble, being on the Path, being religious, kind, helpful, a friend, loyal.

This Hermit card also translates: understanding, knowing, truth, sincere, seeing or observing, or even witnessing.

Five of Pentacles

Five of Pentacles

Five of Pentacles  is one of the dismal cards. It can be about hitting bottom and being so numb you don’t see the way out. It can be desperation. Being desperate financially, having a hopeless health problem – all of that. The picture shows homeless son and mother, crippled and shoe-less trudging through the snow past a church that, back then offered food and shelter … unless you were a leper, and that is what the bell around the boy’s neck represents. So today Five of Pentacles says these things in our story: disabled, miserable, draining him of life, people who are in need, feeling inferior, sick and crippled people, the ghetto, and desperate people in bad shape.

But that is just where we start … with the illustration. Here are the more common meanings of Five of Pentacles from today’s work: A rundown neighborhood, I’m lonely, a fixer-upper house, leaves you cold, feeling left out, broke, on a shoestring, sacrifices and does without, misses, in the dead of winter, when you are down, my shortcomings, and when you need it.

Five of Pentacles can, and often is, making do with what you have; doing without as a sacrifice. Even a down mood or a ‘day from hell.’

But Five of Pentacles has a very special meaning for your spiritual life: Dark Night of the Soul. That’s when you have had an enlightenment, an epiphany, a peak experience, a eureka revelation or awakening, which is followed by a sort of buyer’s-remorse despair at … now that you see … how benighted, how ignorant, you were. Dark Night of the Soul is a miserable, but normal and natural, experience.

Now Without The Pictures

These three cards have some powerful and curious interplays in common. Hermit is a monk, a service monk, out looking for people in need outdoors on a mountain path, to bring them in for dinner and wise chat. The mother and son in Five of Pentacles are outdoors on the street, in need, passing by a church and not asking help from it. So we have someone bringing help to people who need it but are not seeking it. We have two stories that take place outdoors on the street or trail, and we have two cards that are stories about church.

Four of Wands is home, and is people who have the comforts of a good home. Five of Pentacles is people who have no home and no comfort. Hermit – the helper and the help – is stationed between them. Four of Wands and Five of Pentacles contrasts people who are in good shape with people who are in bad shape, and contrasts the superior ‘leaders of the town’ with the inferior ‘bums on the street.’

Hermit is a solitary individual who is alone, and Five of Pentacles is people who are ‘alone in the world,’ who are lonely outcasts.

Four of Wands is an organization and Hermit can translate ‘religious,’ so: a religious organization – or its building or headquarters, which Four of Wands also means. Hermit is devoted, and Four of Wands is family, so: He is devoted to his family, or devotion to the family. Hermit is coming, and Four of Wands is home, so: coming home.

The theme for the preponderance of the stories these spreads make is: belonging and not belonging – being a member of the group, or being outside membership – whether by choice as Hermit is, or by being shunned and shut out or excluded as Five of Pentacles is.

Fool

Fool

Fool’s number is zero and it is the first card in the deck (or some people put it last, or both). So a lot of its meanings are about starting out, about youth, and about absence of (zero): young; begin/beginning; nothing; don’t know; meaningless; not being; not there. Fool also means optimism and lightheartedness because it means youth. Not being attached is another main theme of Fool’s dictionary, and that’s due to Fool’s being – as the zero – the placeholder that affects the value of other numbers but its value isn’t affected by them. (Zero is nothing, but its cipher/placeholder function was a huge invention in mathematics. You can see demonstrations of multiplication via Roman Numerals, to appreciate this invention.)  Keeping these things in mind will help with the far-flung applications of our Fool.

Fool means to not notice, to be oblivious, to forget, to ignore. These are an outgrowth of the zero idea: to be unaffected by surroundings or circumstances. Its illustration shows exactly that: Fool isn’t looking where he’s going. So Fool stands for the ‘Let it be’ concept as well as the ‘I don’t care’ and ‘you just don’t’ concept. Some phrases under that heading are: Not about to; don’t care, don’t listen to; you just don’t; I don’t trouble my pretty little head about that; something I don’t care about. Think of a shrug: Fool shrugs off stuff.

Seven of Wands

Seven of Wands

See that moment of confrontation? – that’s the central concept to Seven of Wands. It applies to both defense and offense re conflict. It applies both to ‘I want nothing to do with this, don’t gimme dat’ and to high pressure tactics of sales or opinion. It applies to pushing/pushy and to pushing back.

Seven of Wands is obviously about facing things: facing opposition; facing a challenge; facing consequences. It applies to ‘shit hitting the fan,’ facing that moment.

Without an obstacle being involved, per se, Seven of Wands is about trying hard, and is about ‘having to’: having to prove, having to do, having to fight your own battles.

Hermit

Hermit

As you get older and wiser, you no longer feel the pressure to engage, to convince or be convinced, to prove yourself. Hermit is a watcher or observer, is a realist, has common sense, is patient and doesn’t get worked up about stuff.

In our picture, Hermit is a monk, a service monk, who goes out looking for travelers who could use a warm bed and a good meal with his good company, and his wise and spiritual guidance. He is elderly too. So Hermit will represent all sorts of virtues allied with being old, with being spiritual or religious. Patience, sincerity, caring, understanding, helping – things like that. He also represents anyone who works in the field of religion.

The monk is out on the trail or road searching, carrying a light. This brings this Tarot card meanings about looking, watching, observing, being on the path or road, being a witness. The search extends to investigation, surveillance, and analysis. Naturally Hermit is your card for an organized public search.

Hermit is about being objective, and objectivity – combining the wisdom with the observation. In fact, Hermit will mean factual, and even the facts, or ‘the fact’ or ‘in fact.’

Hermit is a sincere devoted person, and a person who helps other people. Hermit therefore is a friend, a friend who helps, and a sincere friend.

The scene here can also count in your Tarot readings: the snow, winter, mountain road, the dark night (or just night-time, along with other cards that show night scenes), a path, trail, or The Path, as well as the fact Hermit is on a journey, on a road, is outdoors. The light can also be what Hermit means in a given spread – things like headlights showing a scene, etc.

Hermit is a doctor, which doesn’t enter into today’s story, but (especially with Temperance (healing) and Six of Pentacles (treatment) might enter into another story.

Another rare meaning of Hermit is ‘demonstrating’ or ‘show’ as in ‘shows them’ or ‘show us.’ In Three of Pentacles, the architect is also showing or demonstrating, with the blueprint, to his clients (a monk and a nun).

Learn Tarot

Now Without The Pictures

Many contrasts between Fool and Hermit. Fool is youth; Hermit, old age. Fool knows nothing and isn’t paying attention; Hermit is wise and is watching. Fool is free, unattached, and doesn’t care; Hermit is devoted and cares for a living. Hermit has seniority and Fool is a naïf, a beginner. Hermit is searching, and Fool doesn’t know where he is going. (Maybe Hermit is searching for a lost Fool?) The influence of Fool not knowing brings out the wisdom meanings of Hermit who does know. These two cards appearing together in a three-card spread bring out one another’s contrasting meanings.

Seven of Wands is all about pressure and drive; Hermit has been there and done a lot of that, and is no longer vested. Fool isn’t vested or attached yet, and doesn’t know from ‘vested.’ So our three cards show someone who’s all worked up over something, Seven of Wands, show someone who’s over it, and show someone who isn’t into it yet: stages of engagement! These three cards make a lot of sentences, a lot of stories.

One that I did not include is “I don’t care if they fight it, I’m helping anyway.” Their contrasting meanings produce some odd phrases like ‘meaningless struggle,’ ‘looking for a fight,’ ‘nothing you have to prove,’ ‘face the facts,’ face the consequences of ignorance’ ‘no idea how pushy he is,’ ‘ let him fight his own battles,’ ‘being absent when the shit hits the fan,’ ‘raising hell about nothing.’

Don’t listen to his tirade, just watch it. He is not about to face the facts. When they’re that mouthy, they don’t listen to common sense. You can see he has no idea how pushy he is. Let him fight his own battles, and just you watch. Facing the consequence of his ignorance will wise him up. You just don’t fight about some things when you know.

WITHOUT THE PICTURES For the true seeker of Tarot knowledge, here is what you need to know about how the three cards in today’s spread affect one another, and how to apply Tarot Verbatim™. Here too the cards come alive, together.

WHERE EACH PHRASE COMES FROM At a glance, with a color for each card, your subconscious picks up on how the sentences of GROUP TAROT CARDS READING came to be. You feel how individual card meanings reach out and blend, unite, into a sentence. (You can learn this – yes, you!) Your subconscious awareness sees the image and its feeling and your conscious awareness sees the language meaning, the text… so your two minds focus together to see 3D, three dimensionally, the same way your two eyes see depth that one eye does not.

PHRASES FOR ALL THREE TWO CARD COMBINATIONS Are you ready for the final step of this revolutionary Tarot Verbatim™ technique? Now to make it exceedingly plain and simple, we list the expressions each pair of cards makes. We list them in paragraph form rather than itemized so that they flow, and your subconscious clicks into place and ‘gets it.’ You may even find flashes of dreams or intuitive realities as you read these, at times.

The Rider Waite Tarot™ deck is a data bank in mass consciousness that your subconscious can communicate with. Tarot Verbatim™ is the Rosetta Stone that makes that communication easy because it is a bridge between conscious and subconscious thought. When both your levels of awareness focus together, you think intuitively in real time in ‘the real world.’

Bon voyage!

Fool

Tarot Readings for You for October 26-27, 2017 Thursday-Friday©

The most common question in romance that psychics get asked is ‘Why won’t he?’  Gals always think something went wrong, or that they did some faux pas.  Often, that isn’t the case:  Gal has been careful.  Often, it’s an inner conflict with the guy – that’s actually the most often Tarot analysis that I report to an inquirer.  So here is a prime example of that.

.

You can learn to do talks with Tarot like this with the Tarot Email Training course, which you can investigate by activating that bar that says ‘Get Them Now.’

.

You can delve into the card’s interactions with one another, and into their individual meanings, by putting one or two cards’ names into a Google search bar.  Google sends you the archives of our site, and you can even click on the ‘more’ at the bottom of the set of six, and really get into those meanings, all seven years of them!

.

And you can get a 3-card Tarot analysis of whatever you are thinking about from Emily, done just like this one.  Start by going to the Email Reading navigation tab up there.  It’s inexpensive too.

.

.

Question:  He does not seem to want to be in any kind of relationship with me. When I ask him about it he always says that he is interested but does not make any plans and is unromantic. I want to know why he does not want to be with me, what went wrong, what’s stopping him?

.

This is the ancient story of a guy having to be Lord and Master not only of his fate but of his woman’s. And you clearly don’t even notice (Strength, Nine of Pentacles, Queen of Wands, World are all women who have their affairs in order and under control.)

.

What works best in a situation like this is to quit fiddling with the dial and let him sort himself out. He is hiding under the bed I call it; John Gray dignifies it ‘in his cave.’

.

Client says:

Sure, you have my permission to use any of my readings.

I actually expected that kind of answer to my question because in my own spreads it shows that he is thinking and thinking… I just hope it won’t take him a lifetime.

Thank you, you were very helpful and accurate as always.

.

Emily’s remark:

Tarot, especially Tarot Verbatim, talks to a person through his or her subconscious, so both of us got the same analysis of the same situation.   I love to see examples of that!

Our Daily Spread for October 25, 2011 Tuesday ©

Advice is about destructive criminal types,  cheaters,  traitors and how honest people deal with them –  which is,  of course,  all kinds of ways and all kinds of scenarios.  No one comes to help when it is dangerous.  The old man refuses to listen and harms himself.  Everybody is coming to help stop street crime.  Says he is true,  that he does not fool around.  You know  ‘something’s up’  when he quits talking to you.

(At the time of production, there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation.  I am writing around it now!)

=========================================================================

Is this the first time you come here?  Well … what to do:

*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages.  (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out.  They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It  is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions?  –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads . When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Says he is true,  that he does not fool around.

He denies his many shenanigans when you have the facts.

It’s a fact,  you can’t get away with it that many times.

Acts of sabotage when you are not looking.

A sensible person has nothing to do with the bad boys.

More and more,  he is monogamous and does not take risks.

You are told about the double-cross and can’t believe it’s true.

You know  ‘something’s up’  when he quits talking to you.

Does not see things as they are,  is a danger to himself and others.

Takes a lot of chances,  (he) doesn’t believe in playing it safe.

He is not a sane person;  he is more and more daring.

No more criminal activity,  he says,  he is going straight.

He is sincere when he says he isn’t breaking the law.

He is sincere when he says he isn’t cheating.

Criminal Activity,  Criminals, Thieves

Everybody is coming to help stop street crime.

The old man would not listen to what (they) said so (they) attacked/killed him.

Talk does not straighten out criminals.

Wising up a criminal takes more than talk.

A list of things you can do to help prevent crime.

Is not going to tell the investigator about all these crimes.

Is not going to tell the truth about the items that are stolen.

Is not honest,  is one of the people making off with items.

It’s a fact,  you can’t get away with it that many times.

They are not honest,  they are stealing more and more.

Refuses to look for the items that were stolen.

Refuses to investigate when told about thefts.

Is honest,  refuses to be one of the thieves.

Is not stealing and tells the investigator all.

Knows who the criminals are but isn’t telling.

He is not being sincere in what he tells you:  He is violating the rules.

A sober person does not associate with all these criminals.

He says he is no monk,  he takes chances.

“I’ve come to help you,”  he says –  NOT!  to rob you!

Acts of sabotage when you are not looking.

He denies he did the trespasses when they view each and every one.

Does not see things as they are,  is a danger to himself and others.

All these criminals don’t get the plain facts of life.

Takes a lot of chances,  (he) doesn’t believe in playing it safe.

A criminal is not honest in what he says,  either.

“I’ve come to help you,”  he says –  NOT! –  to rob you!

Hazards,  Hazardous Materials

Inspecting for and not allowing any of the hazardous materials.

Looking for ways to prevent risks.

Facts are not laid out as to the risks.

He is wise to all the risk takers and won’t let them.

Demonstrates it is not on the list of things that are too dangerous.

Looking for the hazards that are not on the list.

Isn’t taking any chances:  only the things that are on the safe approved list.

Being truthful about all of these,  not taking any chances.

Telling the truth and not taking any chances.

It’s a fact these things are dangerous;  I am not going to have anything to do with them.

Takes a lot of chances,  (he) doesn’t believe in playing it safe.

A lot of helpers will come but not if it is dangerous.

Assess the risks soberly as to which ones not to dare.

Friends come to tell you not to take this chance.

Don’t put the facts in writing,  it’s too risky.

The old man will not listen when you tell him he is harming himself.

General,  Miscellaneous

Not telling the truth to the people who are at risk.

Calls for help go unanswered,  it is too dangerous.

He knows something is afoot when his messages don’t reach him.

He knows  ‘something’s up’  when they quit talking to him.

A number of them are spies,  are not sincere.

Reconnaissance Missions

Spies/black ops are not told the truth.

Spies do not divulge the real facts.

Facts are not laid out as to the risks.

You don’t talk the facts about the dangerous missions.

All his friends have nothing to do with the assassin.

A search of documents will find nothing about this illegal mission.

Not one of these people is coming to help you on this dangerous undertaking.

In reconnaissance missions,  you don’t know what you will observe.

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little,  or a lot,  about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works?  If so,

*Go to Meanings and Illustrations:  Observation of the Spread section below.  This tells about the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together to mean things.

*Go to Meanings and Illustrations:  Individual Rider Waite Tarot Cards.  It is what each of the four cards,  by itself,  has to say.  It describes how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works.

Say hello back!  Comment!  I spend two hours a day or more writing these to you.  Remember to share your experience about our experiment here if you have words for it.  Read others’ comments.

Seven of Swords

Eight of Wands –  Four of Cups –  Hermit

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

Seven of Swords:  That’s the sneaky person.  That’s the cheater.  That’s the criminal or the one who sneaks out and violates the rules.  It’s the illegal act or person.  That’s you getting away with it,  or getting even … a little  ‘street justice.’  Seven of Swords is a hazard or hazardous material as well.  It is a hazardous mission,  a reconnaissance or black ops or illegal mission … which does not have to be an official one;  it can be a person on that kind of adventure privately.  It stands for daring,  derring-do,  and self-destructive acts and persons.  So there’s the ‘star card’ of our spread.  The other cards will frame what part of Seven of Swords is being brought out.  The other cards are benign,  so we are not into horrors or disasters here.

The next Rider Waite Tarot Citizen to shape our stories is Hermit.  Hermit has several applications:  Investigation,  truth or fact,  observation or demonstration,  sincerity,  coming to help,  coming,  help,  counseling or wising up or straightening up,  a friend or a friend who helps,  sane and sober.  Now you should begin to see why we have so many sentences up there!

Remaining citizens are the constants.  Constants as Tarot reading goes.  Eight of Wands is messages, talk,  a list,  increasing (as in ‘more and more’ or ‘-er’).  Four of Cups is refusing,  not listening or not engaging,  kind of  ‘not doing’  and ignoring.  It means ‘no way!’  sometimes.

As many sentences as we have,  many more variations are out there.  I quit because these are  ‘too many’  for a lot of our visitors and readers.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Eight of Wands mainly is messages,  talk,  a list,  increasing (as in ‘more and more’ or ‘-er’) including more speedily.  It makes nearby cards plural.  For example,  if you are using  ‘friend’  as what Hermit means,  and you add Eight of Wands,  that makes it  ‘friends’  or  ‘all the friends’  or  ‘many friends,’  or even  ‘more and more friends’ or  ‘more and more friendly.’   Some of its meanings are not used today,  and I am leaving those out for now.

The illustration of Eight of Wands is limbs flying in the air one on top of the other,  as in a barrage of boards flying through the air.

Four of Cups isn’t accepting,  isn’t listening,  isn’t about to,  won’t have anything to do with,  refuses to,  is not reachable.  Nothing goes through here.  “No.”  Illustration aptly depicts that:  A disembodied hand holds out yet another cup to a person whose arms and legs are crossed,  whose head is averted.

Hermit Shows a monk out looking for travelers who need help at night in the cold.  Its disparate meanings arise from that illustration:  Comes to help,  comes to the other person,  honest person,  monogamous or celibate,  truth,  a night trip or trip,  look for or investigate,  an old or older man, a healer or counselor.   Some other meanings are left out here,  not used.

Seven of Swords  That’s the sneaky person.  That’s the cheater or double-crosser.  That’s the criminal or the one who sneaks out and violates the rules.  It’s the illegal act or illegal person.
