Tarot Readings for You for July 4, 2018 Wednesday© Email

Here’s a special Wednesday treat for all of you who do your own Tarot using this site as a library of combined meanings of Tarot cards. The treat is a peek into why your question should include pertinent factors that the cards are not precise about. The big factors are dates, person(s), and time.

Ask ‘who did it’ and you get a description you may not recognize. Ask the motive of who did it, and you will get a description of the scene that usually tells you whodunit. Don’t ask ‘when’ about anything because Tarot is mass-consciousness based ‘out there’ or ‘in there’ somewhere, and isn’t earthbound with clocks and calendars. Instead, you ask ‘Will X happen in Y time?’ as I call it. Not ‘When will he call?’ but ‘Will he call this week?’ That converts the question into a yes-or-no one which Tarot will answer well (or pretty well) giving details that are applicable (cogent).

First thing here is the question I did answer for our client ‘as modified.’ She wants to know ‘what a relationship is going to become,’ not specifying the relationship. Tarot Verbatim is fine (is excellent, really) with that. With no background, however, once the cards talk about marriage and leaving or switching, you as the reader don’t know who’s who. The answer is to be from Client’s perspective, but you don’t know which position Client occupies unless that is in the ‘history.’ And there’s no history required in these cold Email readings. This is why the instructions on the Email Reading tab suggest saying whether love interest is married

I wrote Client, and when she did not respond right away, simply modified the question to include just Dude and her. That is the first set of spreads you see.

Then Client answers with history and perspectives. Tarot did rise to the occasion in its answer.

THEN I include the original set of cards which are confusing to apply if you don’t know the history. Now, you can put these together and see how to handle this – how to phrase a general relationship question which gives no identity of parties or background.

If you subscribe to Tarot Email Training, you know things like this about doing readings and forming questions. Click Here to try that out.

You can also get email readings just like these for a mere $18.75. (Sometimes you wait. These are underpriced because I love doing them, so other parts of the work come first, AND the email readings require peace-and-quiet which isn’t scheduled on my calendar (or yours?).

And by the way, you can also call for a telephone reading and ask that the pertinent cards be identified and explained for you. I do a lot of that.

Question: What will I see this relationship situation actually become in the real world in the next, say, three months?

Note the last cards of the last three spreads are about marriage: King of Wands is the husband card in Tarot Verbatim™; Queen of Wands, the wife card; Ten of Cups, one of two good marriage cards.

Emily writes to Client, re the first set of spreads:

This looks like a married man who has ‘the other woman.’  And it looks like that stressed guy you can’t make up his mind but is being affectionate.

If I type up what I have, it may not make sense without me knowing who’s who.

I will wait a while for you to respond, and write these spreads down, and ask the question again limiting the answer to just him and you.

Client writes to Emily re the above Note:

Hi Emily,

Thank you for this.

He is not married, but recently divorced with all sorts of drama with manipulative ex and 2 very manipulative/manipulated kids.

In this sense, even though we are very much in a committed relationship (it’s been almost 2 years, and we met well after his separation but during the final months of divorce litigation), I guess I am the other woman because of all the claws and fangs still gripping him and pulling him in directions his heart does not agree with?

I should add that he has said many time that he will “never get married again”… perhaps he is conflicted about that belief and the prospect of me walking away from him and the drama that he may have to continue to deal with for the next several years…

Emily writes to Client,

This thread of conversation here is a perfect example of the limitations of verbatim Tarot – a perfect example of what should be put in a question to get a focused answer (because the question best contains what the cards are likely to be imprecise about).

I am thinking of publishing it along with the original spread that I replaced when I asked another question limiting the answer to ‘just you and he.’

How do you feel about that?  Your name isn’t mentioned, of course.

Client writes to Emily

Sure, go for it.  Thanks!

Guidance   Our story today is about an ordinary guy who loves a woman as she is – the affectionate and passionate boyfriend-husband. It is about a fellow who can talk peace to his irritated guy friend. It is about using the words a hidebound traditional person approves of to express an idea so that it will be acceptable to him. So we are about good words getting good things to happen.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in! People love this place! Full instructions are at the bottom.

Guidance and the Tarot Readings are for you if you just want your daily look ahead. “Guidance” is the summary, followed by your word for word Tarot Readings from the four Rider Waite Tarot cards you see pictured here. Pick the sentences that you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them. Sentences contradict one another because negative cards, in this group reading with no question, can attach to any of the other three cards.

Right in the middle is our old King of Wands friend, the guy, the edgy workingman, the husband, the irritated or irritating fellos, the live-wire uninhibited impulsive redhead. The passionate opinionated fellow who can gunite our pool.

On either side of him are two cards that mean nice, civilized, decent normal things. Hierophant is the surface appearance, the acceptable and respectable face we and our institutions present to the public world. Knight of Cups is the attractive and agreeable fellow we like, who can get us to cooperate because he is so helpful and cooperative to us.

Crowning this crowd of Rider Waite Tarot gentlemen is Star – again, an agreeable and enjoyable person or experience … feeling good, feeling enthusiastic and relaxed like singing in the shower.

Star and Knight of Cups are loving; King of Wands is passionate and uninhibited and is Husband. (Hierophant backs up these last King of Wands meanings with its ‘committed’ theme.)

Knight of Cups also is a friend or buddy. Star also means to express, talk, confess feelings, as well as to feel good. Hierophant also means the usual ‘as you are’ reality, the mundane reality, the physical aspect of anything. And it is religion, any aspect of any religion.

Hierophant + Star gives you religious language, which would be like a chant, rosary, traditional prayer, etc.

I N S T R U C T I O N S  &  Explanations  (Comments are below this.)

Did you come here just for your predictions? – If so, you are done when you finish reading the sentences of Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading.

Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that .

Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)

Horoscopes are group readings too.

Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)

Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please?

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.

Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute.  Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.

The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing. This tells the thinking regarding the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the message.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  This is the meaning of each separate card.  This is how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Tarot without trying. The Tarot Talks tab has some examples for students.

Advice is descriptive today about couples – in romance and in business life – who are the reverse of the usual male-female stereotypical relationship: the established perfectionistic powerful woman and the accommodating sweet natured man. She is probably older than he and this is not about a traditional marriage. He may act as the diplomatic p. r. person to her sternness. He sings love songs for discriminating women.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

Queen of Swords and Nine of Pentacles are soul sisters, each edgy in her own way. Queen of Swords is the exacting uncompromising usually older woman, and Nine of Pentacles is the successful owner of home or business turf (or both) who minds her own business, is competent and is borderline reclusive.

Knight of Cups and Star both express affection. Knight of Cups is the sweet guy who is an assistant, with a soft helpful sweet nature. I call him the warm puppy and the guitar player. Star is to enjoy, to sing, to be acclaimed or praiseworthy, to have (or to be) a fan.

Knight of Cups is to approve or be approved, and Star is also to be acclaimed, to be popular, to have people be enthusiastic about you.

So you can see how this story suggests and older-woman younger-man romance, or a lady tycoon and her able goodnatured assistant.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Knight of Cups is the sweet affectionate guy who is an assistant, with a soft helpful sweet nature. I call him the warm puppy and the guitar player. He also means to approve or be approved, to be agreeable, diplomatic, a peacemaker, a “p. r.” person. He is drawn by Pamela Coleman Smith with curved lines and soft colors to suit his personality.

Star expresses affection – is enthusiastic about someone, or people are enthusiastic about Star, are talking about Star. Star is to enjoy, to sing, to be acclaimed or praiseworthy, to have (or to be) a fan, to be popular, to be crazy about someone, or they about you. It depicts that good feeling you have when you sing in the shower. The illustration shows someone singing and in the process of some ritual bath.

Queen of Swords is the exacting edgy uncompromising usually older woman whose high standards we do not satisfy. This is mama-bat and the bitch on a bad day. She has that look and that posture on her Rider Waite Tarot card. Her hand is out with that ‘now would be good’ gesture.

Nine of Pentacles is the successful owner of home or business turf (or both) who minds her own business, is competent, edgy, and is borderline reclusive. Don’t ask her for a loan. She has her own peculiar interests – falconry and a vineyard here. And she dresses in a robe outdoors.

Advice is that even when it’s true love, you are crazy about one another and ‘he calls,’ there are still things to work out in paradise. Most frequent glitch in paradise is a guy just isn’t as mushy as a girl would order from a catalog if he is sincere; he will tell his guy friends he loves her before he confesses that to her! And don’t expect full disclosure of his past love interests. He says ‘I love you’ today.

Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Knight of Cups, Star, Two of Swords

DAILY MESSAGE TAROT ANALYSIS Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

You are telling your friends you are her guy, not her.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

There are three ultra romantic Tarot messengers out of four, all of whom mean to express love, so the Two of Swords, which is a negator, is not going to get very far. It is outnumbered, outweighed, outshouted. Many more similar messages to the ones we have here, but they don’t add anything.

Knight of Cups is the Boyfriend, the agreeable or romantic lover, the one who does call, does take initiative to show affection. He is considered a young man in Tarot. Six of Cups is also young (even children), and Six of Cups is also sweet and romantic, also means the fellow takes initiative to express his love. These two bounce off of each other.

Then the Star card sends those two overboard. It means to confess love, to be crazy about or wildly enthusiastic about, and to say so.

So you can see that naysayer Two of Swords is a nitpicker today.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Knight of Cups is the boyfriend. He is the affectionate man, the one who calls, the one who expresses, the one who takes the initiative and makes the first move, sweetly. This is Prince Charming, appropriately pictured in pastel tones and curved lines, and offering the cup of friendship with outstretched hand.

Star is feeling good all over, being enthusiastic, confessing love, talking a lot (even babbling), and being crazy about someone (or something). The feeling of singing in the shower is here in the illustration, which shows a female taking a bath.

Two of Swords, what are you doing here? You can’t stop this train. Stopping something is what Two of Swords does; she is the roadblock, the balance of forces that creates a stalemate. Stalemate is not the kind of mating we are talking about here, Two of Swords.

Six of Cups is a sweet kid, a naïve person, romantic life, child or children, sweet love. It is the past as well. Little boy gives little girl flowers in the name you have for this card in the back of your mind. Its illustration is cute and antiquey.

HOW TO USE THE MATERIAL WE HAVE FOR YOU HERE. Read the sentences, and pick out the ones that seem to apply to you, to the people around you. They are a Tarot analysis of your day’s circumstances. As the day (or several days) unfolds, you may find the information is relevant. The question is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.” Often, your adopting the attitude you feel in the blog works for your day!

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean even contradictory things. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are less specific, more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. Especially when a pronoun is in parentheses, feel free to substitute.

The Advice section sums up a general meaning of all the sentences.

Here’s another spoiler configuration. Two of Swords, the road block, “No way!” is the party-pooper today. As party-poopers go, not so bad. Especially when we have not one but two “I love you” cards, Knight of Cups and Star. Both mean to express love. Knight of Cups means the dude takes the romantic initiative, and Star means to be wildly enthusiastic, to adore gushingly.

The remaining Rider Waite Tarot card is familiar. It shows up here often. Three of Wands means coming, ships coming in, cash flow. It is about the future and about continuity, ‘continues.’

You just have to watch where you out that ‘not.’ Otherwise, it’s paradise for the lovers.

=========================================================================

Advice is there is a stopper in the wine bottle, an impediment to bliss, a roadblock on the highway of feeling good about one another … but it’s coming, and when it gets here, it will feel sooo good.

=========================================================================

Meanings and Illustrations:

Three of Wands: Everything is gonna be all right. Your ships are coming in … see them? Money is on its way to you, but, yes, you will be waiting. Illustration is simple, it shows ships coming in and the merchant standing there to receive them when they get there. But the artist, and the company that makes the cards, never got around to coloring the water blue … it’s yellow, but it’s supposed to be water.

Knight of Cups: For he’s a jolly good fellow. He is. He is the troubadour, the romantic boyfriend who takes the initiative in expressing affection. His horse is a horsey, and he is relaxed as he offers the cup of friendship/love. He gives as well as accepts friendship, love and agreement. This fellow cuddles. He is young at heart and cute. He is a Great Pyrenees.

Star: We gush adoration, we pour our guts out, we feel good all over. The cheerleader. She pours something into the bath pool. Bet it smells good.

Two of Swords: It doesn’t go any farther. Nope. In the end, ____. Impasse. A blindfolded female sits on a bench, arms crossed, with two heavy swords in them.

YOUR TAROT ANALYSIS:

In the end, he is going to come to her and declare his love.

He does not continue with it because he falls wildly in love.

He is in love but he isn’t going to be over the top (ostentatious) about it.

There’s no explanation for his still being the warm puppy.

He isn’t young and cute but oh, how he is going to love you.

Don’t let yourself gush about how cute he is going to be.

He tells you politely that it is not going to be happening.

There is no way he can be that enthusiastic, but he does accept it.

There will be a lot of talk but the suggestion isn’t accepted.

The motion will be tabled after some discussion.

The presentation will not be that long-winded.

He isn’t going to explain the suggestion.

He does not say that he will be happy with that salary.

He isn’t going to talk like the softie he is.

There are no words to express what a sweet guy he will be.

He accepts when he is told that is not happening.
