Tarot Readings for You for July 4, 2018 Wednesday© Email

Here’s a special Wednesday treat for all of you who do your own Tarot using this site as a library of combined meanings of Tarot cards. The treat is a peek into why your question should include pertinent factors that the cards are not precise about. The big factors are dates, person(s), and time.

Ask ‘who did it’ and you get a description you may not recognize. Ask the motive of who did it, and you will get a description of the scene that usually tells you whodunit. Don’t ask ‘when’ about anything because Tarot is mass-consciousness based ‘out there’ or ‘in there’ somewhere, and isn’t earthbound with clocks and calendars. Instead, you ask ‘Will X happen in Y time?’ as I call it. Not ‘When will he call?’ but ‘Will he call this week?’ That converts the question into a yes-or-no one which Tarot will answer well (or pretty well) giving details that are applicable (cogent).

First thing here is the question I did answer for our client ‘as modified.’ She wants to know ‘what a relationship is going to become,’ not specifying the relationship. Tarot Verbatim is fine (is excellent, really) with that. With no background, however, once the cards talk about marriage and leaving or switching, you as the reader don’t know who’s who. The answer is to be from Client’s perspective, but you don’t know which position Client occupies unless that is in the ‘history.’ And there’s no history required in these cold Email readings. This is why the instructions on the Email Reading tab suggest saying whether love interest is married

I wrote Client, and when she did not respond right away, simply modified the question to include just Dude and her. That is the first set of spreads you see.

Then Client answers with history and perspectives. Tarot did rise to the occasion in its answer.

THEN I include the original set of cards which are confusing to apply if you don’t know the history. Now, you can put these together and see how to handle this – how to phrase a general relationship question which gives no identity of parties or background.

If you subscribe to Tarot Email Training, you know things like this about doing readings and forming questions. Click Here to try that out.

You can also get email readings just like these for a mere $18.75. (Sometimes you wait. These are underpriced because I love doing them, so other parts of the work come first, AND the email readings require peace-and-quiet which isn’t scheduled on my calendar (or yours?).

And by the way, you can also call for a telephone reading and ask that the pertinent cards be identified and explained for you. I do a lot of that.

Question: What will I see this relationship situation actually become in the real world in the next, say, three months?

Note the last cards of the last three spreads are about marriage: King of Wands is the husband card in Tarot Verbatim™; Queen of Wands, the wife card; Ten of Cups, one of two good marriage cards.

Emily writes to Client, re the first set of spreads:

This looks like a married man who has ‘the other woman.’  And it looks like that stressed guy you can’t make up his mind but is being affectionate.

If I type up what I have, it may not make sense without me knowing who’s who.

I will wait a while for you to respond, and write these spreads down, and ask the question again limiting the answer to just him and you.

Client writes to Emily re the above Note:

Hi Emily,

Thank you for this.

He is not married, but recently divorced with all sorts of drama with manipulative ex and 2 very manipulative/manipulated kids.

In this sense, even though we are very much in a committed relationship (it’s been almost 2 years, and we met well after his separation but during the final months of divorce litigation), I guess I am the other woman because of all the claws and fangs still gripping him and pulling him in directions his heart does not agree with?

I should add that he has said many time that he will “never get married again”… perhaps he is conflicted about that belief and the prospect of me walking away from him and the drama that he may have to continue to deal with for the next several years…

Emily writes to Client,

This thread of conversation here is a perfect example of the limitations of verbatim Tarot – a perfect example of what should be put in a question to get a focused answer (because the question best contains what the cards are likely to be imprecise about).

I am thinking of publishing it along with the original spread that I replaced when I asked another question limiting the answer to ‘just you and he.’

How do you feel about that?  Your name isn’t mentioned, of course.

Client writes to Emily

Sure, go for it.  Thanks!

Tarot Readings for you for November 1, 2014 Saturday©

GUIDANCE    It’s a steady effort to hold things together in harmony, in all categories of life. Work on the marriage or work on the divorce: either way it’s work. Work on getting along at work, or work out the clashes there. Either way it’s work. A person who is confrontational unites everyone against him or her … and has work to do there. The gist of our ruminations today is: You’re going to have to be making an effort anyway, so make an effort to keep people happy around you. When a crisis disrupts your life, analyze the situation for material to build a better situation.

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined three pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these three cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONSis a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the three cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Tower – Ten of Cups – Eight of Pentacles

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

……………….……………………   Here we have home life, and everybody getting along, in Ten of Cups – and work life in Eight of Pentacles. And Tower is a breakthrough – or is a hissyfit, confrontation, divorce or quitting. We have a happy marriage, a divorce, and working on it (or working it out). We have stories, lots of them.

………………………..    Tower pictures the fall of the Tower of Babel, a history that appears in many ancient nations. Its formal meaning is therefore ‘destruction of evil.’ It is divorce, confrontation, temper-fit or any kind of explosion, demolition, break (break-in, breakthrough, broken) disaster, sudden strike, sudden loss, sudden overthrow – or anything sudden or unexpected. It means shock too. It is quitting a job or being fired. It is rejection or being rejected. It can mean being ejected, or even vomit in medical questions. Its least unpleasant translates are ‘sudden,’ ‘unexpected,’ and ‘breakthrough.’ It appears when a pipe is broken or bursts – or an artery bursts.

………………………..     Ten of Cups is ‘happily ever after.’ You see the upscale home … with the rainbow over it … and an embracing couple with a boy and girl who are prancing around. It represents a group of people pretty much as Four of Wands does – couple, family, neighborhood, city, county, state, nation, international. It is ‘the good people.’ It means ‘everybody’s happy.’ Prosperous too.

…………..……………       Eight of Pentacles   A carpenter at his work bench busily making one item after another means just those things: work, one thing after another, busy, doing the physical part of the project, steadily, being employed, your job, workers, employment itself, workplace or work site, labor (which includes labor as an expense or as a political party), repetitive movement, and keeping at it – keeping at anything.

………..…………..    Tower and Ten of Cups are breakups or breakthroughs in relationships, including a relationship with a group, because Ten of Cups can be a group. Since Tower is divorce, and Ten of Cups is a marriage, these two cards are flags for a divorce theme in your Tarot spread. Tarot has other ways of saying ‘suddenly getting married’ than this, but these two cards can say that: What a contradiction! This pair is a breakthrough in a relationship or marriage, though. If you think about it, a crisis will sometimes draw people together.

Damaged house is a clear meaning here, right? And so is ‘break-ins in the neighborhood, yes? We were together, Ten of Cups, when there was an emergency, Tower. Ten of Cups is celebrating and Tower is an unexpected event. But Tower is too heavy a card to appear for a surprise celebration. Tower means ‘all of a sudden’ quite often, so ‘All of a sudden everybody around here ….’ Tower is quit, Ten of Cups is the good life – so you quit something to have a good life. It would not read quit having a good life because Tower is a rejection kind of ‘quit.’ A relationship (Ten of Cups) is in crisis (Tower). Tower commonly is a temper tantrum, Ten of Cups is at home, and is with spouse or family.  So it’s when he is at home that he pops his top.  He loves you, Ten of Cups, but breaks up with you, Tower. People are quitting; people are on strike. A blowup (Tower) clears the air and there’s sunny days in the home or relationship life. Ten of Cups is people you know, and Tower is confrontation, so you are confrontational with everyone you know. x………..…………..

………..…………..     Tower and Eight of Pentacles  combine a disaster or a breakthrough, or quitting, firing or being fired, with work. These are the most common appearances for this pair. They also mean a disruption of work, of course. Since Eight of Pentacles means one after the other, you have one disaster after another.

Tower is anger displays too, so you have a temper tantrum at work … or one temper tantrum after another anywhere. See how that works? Since Tower is one of the divorce/rejection/separation cards, Tower and Eight of Pentacles can say ‘one divorce after the other’ or ‘working on a divorce,’ since Eight of Pentacles means working. Tower can mean emergency (It is not a key card for it, though.) so these two can say an emergency at work, or emergency work (which would be things like emergency room or paramedic personnel). Tower is a split or schism, and Eight of Pentacles is workers, so you have a division among the employees. These two can say the place someone works went bankrupt. x………..…………..

……………………        Ten of Cups and Eight of Pentacles     What a lovely pair these make! With Eight of Pentacles meaning continual, we are always happy and satisfied. With Eight of Cup meaning work, we are working on our happy marriage, relationship or group life. We all work together, too! – see that? A happy marriage is work, yes? Ten of Cups is everybody, and Eight of Pentacles is a job, so everybody’s got a job around here. And don’t forget these two are classics for work at home. These say ‘all the workers’ or ‘everybody who works here’ too. Well, how about ‘always happy’ too? x………………………

Comfort zones at home and at work are about being accustomed to the routine. Both breakthroughs and crises disrupt the settled scene and force us to think and choose. We have to wake up and ‘do something.’ We adjust and make a new (or modified) life. We look back on the disruption as a milepost in our personal history, whether for good or ill. The point of today’s message is to consciously choose what serves your purpose best when you have to adapt to a shakeup.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Tower……… The illustration is the Tower of Babel’s fall, which was a huge turning point in history, and is written up that way in the history of several ancient cultures. The formal meaning of this card is ‘overthrow of evil’ or ‘destruction of evil.’ Keep in mind that its least drastic common meanings are: breakthrough, sudden, unexpected, crashing or blasting through. It is usually about a crisis or emergency. People are ejected from a tower that is being destroyed, so the meaning Tower contributes to your Tarot inquiry is disruption, sudden drastic change, destruction, demolition, divorce, disaster, angry outbursts or other meltdowns, quitting or being fired, rejecting or being rejected.

Confrontation is a common meaning for Tower. Here are other translates for Tower: break, broken, break-in, shattered, medical seizure, heart attack, sudden strike or blow (any kind), sudden loss (which may be a good loss), sudden overthrow (particularly of something the world is better off without), bankruptcy. Its illustration also applies to burst pipes that release spills, which has a medical application too.

.

Ten of Cups…………. We call this card ‘happily ever after’ because of the obvious dream life it depicts: rainbow over the luxury home, embracing couple, prancing boy and girl. It is one of the positive marriage and satisfying relationship cards. The other is Four of Wands. Both of these Rider Waite cards also mean any group of people of any size or type, beginning with the couple and escalating up to international levels. Ten of Cups is the good people, everybody’s happy, the good neighborhood. Like Four of Wands, it can also mean us, them, they, the people there, the people who … etc.

.

Eight of Pentacles ……….  Here is the workingman, a carpenter busy at his work bench, persistently and consistently hammering away, making one identical item after the other. Eight of Pentacles is the routine, the ordinary mundane daily chores. Here are its common meanings, which arise directly from its illustration: work, worker, workingman, working class, busy, job, being employed, the hands-on part of a project, steadily, workplace, work site, repetitive movement, over and over again, keeping at it (re anything), and labor – all meanings of labor, including labor parties and labor as a budget item.
