Four Card Spreads, Our Daily Spread

This weekend’s question is: Strategies to Achieve Your Dream in Today’s World.

HOW TO USE THE MATERIAL WE HAVE FOR YOU HERE. Read the sentences, the TAROT ANALYSIS, and pick out the ones that seem to apply to you, to the people around you. They are a Tarot analysis of your day’s circumstances. As the day (or several days) unfolds, you may find the information is relevant. Some of this information refers to a longer time period. The question is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.” Often, your adopting the attitude you feel in the blog works for your day! Some days are ‘keep an eye open’ and some are ‘green lights.’

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean even contradictory things. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are less specific, more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. Especially when a pronoun is in parentheses, feel free to substitute.

The Advice section sums up a general meaning of all the sentences. It is the favorite of most of us.

Meanings and Illustrations: Observation of the Spread

The similar Rider Waite Tarot cards today are Eight of Swords – being limited, stymied, or kept from –

and the Two of Cups – being influenced to serve another’s agenda, being conned or mooched upon. So both of these refer to limiting factors.

Eight of Swords serves as the actual death card, and Judgment shows the resurrection or reawakening, so achieving has to do with shedding what is keeping us dead or enslaved or down, what is keeping us from.

The other two cards address our question perfectly. Nine of Cups is achieving your dream, your goal, is satisfaction with life. Judgment is a whole new life or level, is a big change and is enlightenment or ‘getting it.’

You can just tell there’s just one message to this spread. Many ways to say it, many ways to apply it, but just one biblical pronouncement going on.

Meanings and Illustrations: Individual Rider Waite Tarot Cards

Nine of Cups Nine of Cups today expresses ‘achieve your dream’ in our Question. All its phrases in all the sentences echo that sentiment: getting what you want, achieving your own happiness, want to be rich, your best good, having it your way. Its Rider Waite illustration shows a fat fella who done et tha whole thang … done drank it all too – See those empty glasses up there? – and is safunsified. That’s you, now!

Judgment has a few categories of meanings, all arising out of its illustration per the Tarot Verbatim system. First category is telling, announcing, news, being told, the ‘Now hear this’ experience. Which leads directly to the ‘getting it’ enlightenment categories of meanings. Then we have the ‘new level,’ whole new life, new awareness category. Not done yet! There’s the ‘recovery’ category as well, including, of course, recovery from death (near-death experience).

The illustration we speak of is the resurrection day scenario, with the angel’s trumpet awakening the dead even in the ocean, reawakening all to a whole new level of awareness and a new life. Now, isn’t that a propos of ‘in Today’s World’ in our Question?

Eight of Swords is a limiting factor or even the limiting factor, abbreviated ‘clf’ in the sciences. In Verbatim Tarot it produces words like ‘stifle.’ Examples are: You can’t do that, can’t have it, impossible, keep you from it, confined, keeps you down. So this is the actual death card.

Its illustration shows a female tied up outside the castle on the hill, blindfolded in the swamp and surrounded by swords: helpless, unable, stymied …

Two of Cups echoes the ‘limiting factor’ of Eight of Swords. It refers to your own agenda being interfered with by some outside influence. Often, the interference is intentional to get you to be patriotic to someone else’s turf rather than your own. These are the folks who want you to do it their way, and motivate you into serving them at your own detriment. This does NOT refer to any fair deal, relationship or agreement in the Tarot Verbatim system. This is others being entitled to your services because they say so and you believe them. (So, thank you, Judgment, for being there for us, for waking us up from this torpor.)

The illustration for Two of Cups shows a couple committing to one another. One or both of them are self-serving deceitful mooches. How do we know? That is what the symbol above them means. It is the caduceus, an occult symbol.

Advice is straightforward, restated many different ways. The strategy to achieve your dream in today’s world is to remove what stands between you and it, remove influences on yourself – whether from environment, loyalty, culture, self-serving people or partners that hold you back.

Remove those limiting factors and, presto, you are where you want to be. Shackles are voluntary in some fashion. No, there isn’t any ‘can’t.’

TAROT ANALYSIS

Being reborn (from the death of being enslaved by your environment) is how you achieve your dream life.

Telling you: When you stifle what interferes, you achieve your goals!

People who tell you you can’t do that your way want you to do it their way.

When getting what you want yourself is impossible, tell someone else to get involved with you.

If you want a whole new life, you can’t have it with a bloodsucker/parasite/energy vampire.

You can’t openly announce what you want to achieve because of the interference factor.

The Big News is: If you want to be rich, it can’t be done with a partner.

The minute you have it all, people who are entitled to what is yours will keep you from it.

Now hear this: You can’t have it your way if you get it from someone else.

When you recover from being stifled by a conniving partner, you achieve your own happiness.

You achieve your dream when you get it that you can’t be what other people want you to be for them.

The way you limit people to serving your interests is to tell them that is what they really want.

When you are told what your best good is, you are confined to that agenda.

Near-death experience (recovering from death) influences your view of what you want.

When other people keep you down, you are enlightened about what it is you really want!

Feeling you must serve or please others either causes that light bulb to go on or keeps you from achieving your own goals.

We’re telling you the way to have the life you want is to kill what gets in your way.

Partners hold you back from even daring to say what you want.

Partners hold you back from the different life that will be satisfying to you.
