Wheel of Fortune

Wheel of Fortune doesn’t often use its deeper meaning, which is true of a lot of these Rider Waite Tarot cards. In ordinary practice, Wheel of Fortune mainly means these things, as it does today exclusively: (1) Your Chance; Opportunity; Miracle. (2) Better; Best; and sometimes Good. (3) Happen (all forms of this word). (4) Luck; Lucky; Fantastic, Wonderful. (It often translates, simply, ‘wonderful. (5) Gamble, Take Chances, Gambling. (6) Pays off, Payoff, Windfall, Jackpot, etc.

Wheel of Fortune subtly makes the point that coincidence, timing, is destiny. (Today it translates ‘just in time to.’) Google ‘Wheel of Fortune, Tarot Verbatim’ for a complete explanation of the details of Wheel of Fortune’s deeper meaning. It is saying that nonphysical entities, both divine and infernal, affect human affairs through coincidence, through chance. The illustration includes God’s name in Hebrew, its letters alternated with a word (rota) that means ‘Wheel of Fortune.’ The funky critters outside the roulette-wheel-looking central design represent spirit influences, most of them not-so-good ones.

The other cards in today’s spread bend Wheel of Fortune to mundane physical applications. Wheel of Fortune is good things happening, and both of them are about the good life, each in its own way.

Two of Wands

Two of Wands

Here’s an anchor card for you: one that has few, well-defined meanings that blend easily with a number of other cards, so that they make figuring out your spread easier and faster. Two of Wands really has only three main categories of meaning: (1) future, and future tenses; (2) financial words and business words; (3) plan.

First of all, it’s kinda weird, but this Two of Wands card most of the time will translate future words like these: will, it will be or will be, will have, going to, going to be, do well to, is coming. Those are all from today’s spread, with duplicates eliminated. It also translates the word ‘future’ and its synonyms, which include words like: outlook, prognosticate, prognosis, foretell, projection (when it is used as future outlook), forecast. And more, of course. In this category, Two of Wands shares many of Three of Wands’ words and phrases.

You see a wealthy real estate magnate who owns the town. He is planning how to wrest more profit from his real estate holdings below, as he looks them over from atop his castle. Note he ‘has the world in his hands’ there. So remember that the word ‘plan’ rests mainly with Two of Wands.

Two of Wands has all sorts of business words and applications, including being a rich Somebody. It especially refers to financial security, a secure position, being well-off or wealthy, bank and banker, bank accounts, investment, money in the bank, mortgage, real estate, profit, financial success, the wealthy class, and even the Establishment. It translates the word ‘business’ and can refer to financial plans, budgets, etc.

Six of Swords

Six of Swords

Best think ‘transition’ when you see this card! You see a woman and a child evacuating town without possessions, leaving in a small open paddleboat on an overcast day, at dawn or dusk most likely. Traditionally, the man is a helper, not family, and traditionally, they are going to a better place (partly because it could hardly be worse).

Six of Swords is very flexible and therefore a tricky Tarot card to apply. Generally, things are getting better. Six of Swords can be hope and it can be despair. Six of Swords can be past, present, future, or all the above at once. Six of Swords can be leaving, can be on the way, and can be arriving. Fit it into the story, into the other cards, into the question. Remember that any and all the elements, and any and all the characters, in your Tarot potentially apply to your spread. That is especially true of Six of Swords!

More often than not, Six of Swords emphasizes leaving, getting out, withdrawing, being left, what you got out of, what you are getting out of, and that you left – and more such words and phrases.

Six of Swords emphasizes putting the past behind – the past itself, not necessarily a place. Here are today’s phrases reminiscent of that: and the past is over with; to put this whole thing behind me; not anymore; he used to be; not as bad as it was; situation isn’t _ anymore. Note the ‘not anymore’ phrase because you often find another card putting another word (or words) in between them, and that word can be anything at all. Not successful anymore, not stuck anymore, etc.

Next, Six of Swords is heading toward, and heading toward improved conditions. Today it says ‘greener pastures,’ which I think is a fine title for this card. Today it says ‘recover’ once. The more direct phrases for Six of Swords in this category are: and you are on your way; that gets you on your way; move on; headed toward being.

A lot of cards mean ‘to avoid,’ and Six of Swords is one of them. It means that fairly frequently.

Once in a while Six of Swords is about traveling over water or being in a boat – even a cruise ship. And watch for it to mean ‘overseas,’ especially in inquiries about job opportunities or the whereabouts of someone. So Six of Swords can be your nautical card.

Another odd application of Six of Swords is ‘the departed.’ Since the people are departing, that’s obvious. Six of Swords can be mourning the departed, feeling left behind. The picture also reminds you of the myths about the dead being paddled to the afterlife by a god in his boat.

Now Without The Pictures

Wheel of Fortune is the lucky break, the good fortune, that got Six of Swords to Two of Wands. You can also say the opportunity in Wheel of Fortune is the way Two of Wands is in his financially secure position. (Six of Swords is the journey between the two.) Most of our stories are about leaving, and better times ahead.

Wheel of Fortune and Two of Wands share financial wealth applications. Wheel of Fortune is windfall, lucky break, hitting the jackpot. Two of Wands is financial security and business wealth – being the solid citizen. Conceivably, the distinction between ‘old money’ is Two of Wands and ‘new money’ is Wheel of Fortune. Snobs only respect old money, you know.

Two of Wands and Six of Swords are both future-oriented cards. In Six of Swords, the future is going to be better; Two of Wands means the future, and it means wealth – business wealth, financial security, money in the bank, money in real estate, money in investments. So you can say Two of Wands’ future is now, from a Six of Swords perspective. Two of Wands translates ‘look forward to’ among its many ‘future’ meanings.

Financial security is happening gradually when you combine Two of Wands, wealth, and Six of Swords, ‘heading in that direction,’ and is happening suddenly in Wheel of Fortune.

Two of Wands with Wheel of Fortune says the future is wonderful. Two of Wands and Six of Swords suggest a dismal scene that will get better.

Wheel of Fortune Today Wheel of Fortune is all those good things it means, and that’s all. Wheel of Fortune is just operating as luck-in-the-real-world today. So today Wheel of Fortune is: happening for the best, wonderful, windfall, gambling, cashing in, a great opportunity, the best, the world-class one, our big chance, as luck would have it, optimum, at its highest, and something way better. Short and sweet, no esoteric aspect today.

Two of WandsTwo of Wands is about the future, a better life, financial security, investment, and real estate. These are its simplest terms because today’s message is simple: All three cards are about a better life and good times ahead.

.

The way Two of Wands means the future, stability, and financial well-being is the drawing of the wealthy landowner viewing his real estate holdings from above and planning to make more next season or year.

Six of Swords Six of Swords not only says the future is better, it emphatically says it’s better than the past. Six of Swords shows one life phasing out and a better one phasing in – that you’re on your way. Six of Swords is about what you are avoiding or escaping or leaving behind as well as being about where you are headed. That’s why you see the people in a vessel (a vehicle, moving).

GUIDANCE     Having a plan tends to improve where you’re headed. Planning while you’re still underway, as you go along, stabilizes and modifies your direction. Exit plans are a good thing – like trailing stop orders on your investments, you know? When the scenery changes, the overview isn’t the same anymore.

[A sell trailing stop order sets the stop price at a fixed amount below the market price with an attached “trailing” amount. As the market price rises, the stop price rises by the trail amount, but if the stock price falls, the stop loss price doesn’t change, and a market order is submitted when the stop price is hit.]

Two of Wands – Six of Swords – Death

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING and

                LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.………..………. .……..…….. Here is a study in the peskiness of Death. In Tarot Verbatim, Death is the pluperfect negator – the main negative modifier. Tarot Verbatim is language-based, so a double negative (in the English language anyway) makes a positive. This fact makes Death a sometimes-rescue-card. (Rescue cards are ones that undo or at least lessen the harm other cards are speaking of. They modify the other cards, like an adjective or adverb modifies a noun or verb.)

Let’s make it clear by a simple example: Put Death next to, say Ten of Swords or Tower, which mean disaster, and you have ‘No disaster.’ So why is Death such a pest? – well, it makes for conflicting, contradictory statements. Today’s spread is an excellent study in that process – for those of you who come here to learn Tarot Verbatim. In real Tarot life, the question itself, and the established knowns from the rest of the spread, tell you which card Death is affecting. Those factors do not exist here, so here the contradictions and conflicts flash out.

Two of Wands and Six of Swords each refer to the future, to good times, to whatever is ahead, and specifically to good times ahead – but from very different perspectives. Two of Wands is any kind of stability, even the soundness of any physical object or building. Its focus is on financial stability, a stable outlook, a ‘solid citizen’ as far as both respectability and money go. Two of Wands is stability emotionally, socially, mentally, etc. It is also a plan, banking and mortgage and real estate, and an overview of anything. Two of Wands is ‘projected.’

Six of Swords, on the other hand, is good times ahead compared to the bad times behind. It means ‘hamburger tomorrow,’ not right now. It’s focus is on the journey, the direction, the change, and it is an emotional card. Six of Swords is recovering, getting over it, the departed, a journey, and a journey in consciousness. It has not arrived; it is still on the way.

Six of Swords and Death bring up headed for death, getting over a death, and avoiding a death – because Six of Swords is headed somewhere (better), is recovering or getting over (something) and is avoiding, delaying, or procrastinating.

Six of Swords and Death both contain negative elements. Death is that element, and Six of Swords says ‘not anymore, doesn’t anymore, isn’t there anymore. Six of Swords can say ‘until it’s over,’ and such thoughts, and Death too is about ‘it’s over.’ But the presence of Death can put the negative to all those negative statements. THAT is what we mean about ‘pesky Death.’

.

.

.

GET A SINGLE CARD’S MEANINGS: TYPE ITS NAME AND ‘TAROT VERBATIM’ INTO GOOGLE.

Two of Wands……. Two of Wands has main divisions to its dictionary. It means the future. Half the time, this card just translates ‘will’ or ‘will be,’ or other such ‘ahead’ phrases. It makes other cards future tense. It means stability, ‘solid.’ It means an upstanding citizen (stable), and emotional stability, mental stability, even the stability of a foundation, or the soundness of a building or other physical object. And it is about money: financial security, investment, good prospects, budget, banking and loans, especially real estate loans, the mortgage broker or the banker. It also means a plan or to plan or the plan, and financial plan or planning. It also refers to an overview, to things long term, and even to foresight. Two of Wands is a reassuring card; it means things are all right, and are going to stay all right: stability, security, a sure thing, etc.

You see the well-dressed fellow who owns the world (the town) looking at his holdings (the town) and planning how to profit from them. He is a property owner and a property manager. He is an investor.

Six of Swords …….. A mother and child escape whatever is behind, escape with nothing but what they wear, paddled away from it by a (traditionally) kind friend whose boat it is. It is dusk or twilight: times of change. Yes, this is the card for avoiding something. Six of Swords is a moody card, both blue and hopeful. It is a symphony of notes on leaving and going. It expresses both defeat and progress (slow progress, which Ten of Wands is the lead card for.) It is often an aftermath, recovery (even rehab), and getting over divorce, death, addiction or other setback, or getting over an emotionally devastating loss, and putting any of those behind.

Six of Swords can emphasize either the leaving, or the heading on out, or both. So it means both ‘from now on’ and ‘not anymore.’ Usually, the distinction is usually made for you, even by the question itself. Six of Swords is one of the main ‘leaving’ cards.

Six of Swords is getting on with life, going forward – is leaving one location for another with better prospects – often, a job change. It is cutting your losses and running; it is water under the bridge; it is slipping away. It is a past life. It is also a waning influence, a widening gulf, and ‘used to’ or ‘used to be.’ This card shows up for the shift in a person’s life a death or a divorce causes – or any devastating loss.

The boat can be literal, even a cruise. Traveling over water can be literal, and this is the card for going overseas: Watch for that!

Six of Swords often speaks of direction – drifting into and drifting away from, avoiding. It is moving on out, and it is moving on up – travel physically, travel both short trips and extensive ones, spiritual journeys, emotional trips, out-of-body travels. It is becoming another person and putting ‘my past life’ into the mists of time. ‘I’m not the man I used to be,’ says a sad song. Six of Swords can be about painful process, such as giving up a set of beliefs and moving forward into a flexible unknown.

This is the lead card for recovering, and that very much includes medical issues. Getting over anything, especially serious ailments. I don’t have (fill in the blank) anymore; I’m not (fill in the blank) anymore.

Death……Here he comes, the executioner of neighboring cards’ influences. He adds ‘NOT’ to their statements. Death is The Great Negator; he is Mr. Minus. I think of Death, in shorthand, as no-never-not and as end zone. Death is a support card for death; another card usually introduces the subject, as Six of Swords today does. By negating one or the other of its neighboring cards, Death (as we discussed here previously) creates contradictory statements. Once in a while it simply says ‘in the end.’ Death sometimes adds the word ‘death’ to a sentence. When it does, that doesn’t have to refer to the death of a living being. But it can.

F.Y.I., the lead card for the subject of death in Tarot Verbatim™ is Eight of Swords. (I don’t make these up; I observe and report, to make the Tarot Verbatim™ system.)

Now, with that illustration of the dead king lying on the ground and the bishop taking possession of the crown, with which the Roman Catholic Church will crown another king, Death should mean regime change, and Death should mean the end of one phase and the beginning of another. It doesn’t – at least not in my work, and I watch for that.

.

.

Poor times are over, and I am doing well. As I put an end to something, I look ahead to a stable life precisely because I got over that. Kind of in limbo here: The worst is over and the best is yet to come. I am not there any longer because there was no future there for me. My escape plan is what got me out in the end. I had a ticket to ride the future.

.

.

Tarot Readings for You for April 19, 2014 Saturday©

Guidance       Who we marry, how and when we leave our nuclear family, determines much of our future.    It is easy to get into a romance and let it develop into something that determines our future as we marry … and much harder to swim out of that tank.   You may relocate to a place away from where you would prosper.    That is like climbing back up a mountain that you went down on a train ride, isn’t it?

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.

‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages from the pictures of the four cards you see – to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow. The family of commenters here would love for you to join in (the very last thing, at the bottom).

Knight of Cups

Two of Wands – Four of Wands – Six of Swords

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Two of Wands and Four of Wands and Six of Swords and Knight of Cups Here we have stories. We have marriage (Four of Wands), a sweet-natured boyfriend (Knight of Cups), a good solid future (financially too) (Two of Wands), and times being better than they were, or leaving bad times behind for a better future (Six of Swords). These are elements of several stories, especially when you use the other meanings of the four.

Two of Wands and Six of Swords      say the future will be better; both say ‘from now on,’ especially Six of Swords. Six of Swords is a good future because of a bad past; Two of Wands is security ahead, for certain, and also emphasizes financial security, and a long term solid state, not just the improvement we see in Six of Swords. So Six of Swords includes the past.

Two of Wands and Four of Wands      are both about security and respectability. Both involve influential money, and both involve real estate … the idea of the one(s) owning the big house. Two of Wands emphasizes financial estate, banking, mortgages, pensions and other major investments. Four of Wands is more about social standing: It shows a society wedding to express security in financial and social life, whereas Two of Wands shows the banker or owner of the town upon the ramparts of his estate looking down and planning how to get more profit from the real estate below.

Four of Wands and Six of Swords      are about leaving the family or hometown and putting it behind for better times for yourself, relocating; yet can also be about better prospects for the family as it puts some bad times behind. The bad times don’t have to be financial – can be social only, since Four of Wands is mainly social in its emphasis. The group involved does not have to literally be family, but can be, say college or a Company, or even people you have been associating with. Marrying and leaving the nuclear family is an easy reach for these two.

Knight of Cups is a friendly likeable and loveable (young) man, a salesman of goodwill, the perfect boyfriend and marital prospect. This card often calls up words like ‘accept’ and ‘invite.’ He is known for being polite, and translates ‘polite offer’ and such phrases.

Our story today makes the point (and I think we can all play this one back) that who we marry, and how we leave our nuclear family, determines our future. It is so easy and appetizing to get into a romance and let it develop into something that determines our future as we marry . And it is so much more difficult to swim out of that tank. You may relocate to a place far away from where you would prosper, and be stuck there. (Ask me how I know this.)

Two of Wands      This fellow who owns the real estate of the town below looks at it and plans how to wrest even more money out of it. He has the whole world in his hands. Money and future are the two core meanings of Two of Wands … plan and finance. So you have: financial plan, financial outlook, security and financial security, having the money to accomplish something, real estate, bank, pension, security, a sure thing, the long term. The ‘plan’ part of Two of Wands takes over, though: What it really translates most of the time is: going to, the future, will, will be, will always be, ahead, and projected.

Four of Wands      This illustration is a wedding of leading families, a public occasion held at the estate of one of the families. Marriage, a good or stable marriage, house, home, real estate, and political influence or power are common meanings for it, of course. Security in financial and social life. It is the headquarters of some political entity (any size); it is any group of people – the ‘us’ of ‘us and them,’ the good people, the Establishment. So it is a community, company, organization – even a neighborhood.

Six of Swords      Things are looking up; better times are ahead. We are putting a past behind us, headed away from a bad spot. We are leaving, headed away from something. Six of Swords can be about leaving the family and putting it behind; it can be about better prospects for the family as it puts some bad time behind. Huddled in a shallow open vessel, mother and child are paddled away, by a friend, with just the clothes on their backs. Six of Swords often says things will be better because they could not get any worse.

Knight of Cups      We all like him. He does us favors and gets us to do for him. He is the good-natured young or youngish fellow, the warm puppy boyfriend and perfect marriage prospect. He extends his hand in friendship with a drink in it, and he has the wings of Mercury the Messenger on his head.  He fits into today’s spread perfectly as the good man of good family with a good future ahead of him. His relaxed personality is expressed in the drawing with pastel blues, curved lines, and a cute horse who could be on a merry-go-round.

Two of Wands    The banker who owns the town (See the world in his hands?) is about the financial future (as well as the future generally), and financial security.  He is planning on how to wring more money from his real estate below as he stands on the finished roof of his castle or whatever.

Four of Wands   shows a society wedding to express security in financial and social life.  It is about a good marriage, being one of the good people (the Establishment, perhaps), and refers to community, company, organization (civil or governmental), and even neighborhood.  It also can be a house.

Six of Swords    Huddled in a shallow open vessel, mother and child are paddled out of the area with just the clothes they are wearing.  Six of Swords says things will be better because they have been so awful, that we are leaving the past behind us. Six of Swords can be about leaving the family and putting it behind, yet also can be better prospects for the family as it puts some bad times behind.

Knight of Cups is the good-natured, likeable young fellow … the boyfriend and perfect marriage prospect. He fits into our spread perfectly as the good man of good family with a good future ahead of him.

Tarot Readings for You for April 4, 2013 Thursday(c)

Guidance    Doing battle with what torments you, whether those demons are internal or external, is rewarding. You will get over the craziness, and have the high ground of putting it all behind, and the luxury of being in control now. When you understand chaos, you are clearheaded from then on. Two of Wands

Seven of Cups – Five of Swords – Six of Swords

2 Tarot Readings: Now that I Understand, I Am on My Way (Two of Wands and Six of Swords)

Now I have an overview of how I got taken advantage of, got dazzled (or bullshitted, or rattled), and it isn’t happening anymore.

The profit from getting hurt by a callous taker is all the things you are going to be avoiding from now on.

The way we get in control of our days is to lose control and lose because of that, and head in another direction.

Now I am past losing my way, and ready for the challenge of planning the trip.

The dark side gets the best of me no more, I’ve got a grip now.

I have a clear view of how confused I was, how things got the best of me, now that I’m getting over it.

Tarot Readings: Fighting and Getting Control (Five of Swords and Two of Wands)

You can get over anything; you are beating this one too.

There’s one chance in a thousand of beating this, but better times are ahead for me.

Fighting my demons and on my way to stability.

Fighting the mess I made gives me a clear view of it to get out of it.

I am beating depression and getting control of madness.

I am challenged by madness, but I will get over it.

When you beat your demons, they will leave you.

You will get over the bad dreams that are tormenting you.

Headed into getting control of dreams about fighting.

I am leaving my nice safe world that I understand for parts unknown, feeling like fighting my way through.

I understand how to engage with spirits to clear them out.

This is another session on capitalizing upon adversities. Two of Wands is your world view when you are on top of things. Its presence is a clear indication that the battle referred to ends that way. And Six of Swords means getting over it, heading off in a different direction, putting something dismal behind you – another indication you survive whatever the challenge is that the other two cards address.

The combination of Seven of Cups and Five of Swords describes a battle or severe challenge. Seven of Cups is about Pandora’s Box or Sorcerer’s Apprentice, about the release of spirits of chaos. Five of Swords is being taken advantage of, being bullied, fighting something or someone, beating (whatever) and being ripped off. It is a nasty guy with a smirk, maybe a swagger, definitely a hardass.

Doing battle with what torments you, whether those demons are internal or external, is rewarding. You will get over the craziness, and have the high ground of putting it all behind, and the luxury of being in control now. When you understand chaos, you are clearheaded from then on. We emphasize the two phases: (1) the fight and (2) the understanding, the perspective of being above and looking down upon, being bigger than your world.

(P. S. Today is another day of Tarot Talks(TM) to You, of two-card combinations’ meanings listed after Learn Tarot by Pictures.)

Seven of Cups Pandora’s Box or Sorcerer’s Apprentice are both about the release of spirits of chaos, which our illustration shows. Seven of Cups is the shit hitting the fan, is Situation Normal All Fucked Up, is chaos, confusion, your demons, being dazzled, bullshitted, confused, mind-boggled or just amazed or shocked.

Five of Swords is being taken advantage of, being bullied, fighting something or someone, beating (whatever) and being ripped off. It is a callous guy with a smirk and a nasty attitude, maybe a swagger, definitely a hard-ass. Or it’s beating what torments you. He is ripping off his friends’ swords in the days when the swords also meant their land, so this card can mean a thief, or thieving, just not today.

Six of Swords Leaving at dusk under a gray sky, with no baggage, huddled with a child in an open paddle boat, escaping some disaster with help from the fellow who is paddling. Six of Swords means getting over it, heading off in a different direction, putting something dismal behind you, and also heading in a different direction. Its main indication is things will be better, the worst is over … mostly because it can’t get any worse.

Two of Wands is your world view when you are on top of things. Its presence is a clear indication that a battle ends that way. The banker is above it all, and he’s got the whole world in his hands, see? He is up looking down, is bigger than his world down there. He is in control. His life is stable, he is a solid citizen. He has an overview and an outlook: These are the factors in the illustration that bequeath the ‘future’ meanings, and the fact that this card often supplies future tense to others, and often translates ‘will’ in front of a verb.

Tarot Readings for You for January 23, 2013 Wednesday(c)

Guidance        Who we marry, and how we leave our nuclear family, determines our future.  It is easy to get into a romance and let it develop into something that determines our future as we marry … and much harder to swim out of that tank.  You may relocate to a place away from where you would prosper.

Instructions: Are YOU here for the first time?  Come in!  People love this place!  Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need.  ‘Guidance’ is a summary of what the cards are generally advising visitors to be aware of that day.  ‘Tarot Readings’ is the actual word for word messages the cards are conveying.  Tarot can come up with a wide variety of sentences (sometimes even completely contradictory sentences!) in a group reading as there is no specific question being asked.  So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Want even more insight and information about a specific situation in your life? Call me, Emily, at 1-800-993-6912 and talk to me personally and have yourself a live, in detail, Tarot Reading like no other you may ever have had before. Your call will support 500 acres of wild life in an animal sanctuary where I live and call home.  Or you can choose an email reading; the tab is above.

Also, don’t be shy about talking to the Community of Users in the comment section below. You’ll find this as the very last thing on this site. Trust me when I say we would *love* to hear from you!

Not too many sentences today, huh?  We have marriage (Four of Wands), a sweet-natured boyfriend (Knight of Cups), a good future (Two of Wands), and times being better than they were (Six of Swords) or leaving the bad times behind for better times.  There are several ways to make a story of these elements, especially with the fairly minor alterations that using other meanings of the cards make.

Both Two of Wands and Six of Swords say the future will be better.  Two of Wands is about the financial future (as well as the future generally), and Six of Swords says things will be better because they have been so awful, that we are leaving the past behind us.

Two of Wands is financial security, and Four of Wands shows a society wedding to express security in financial and social life.

Knight of Cups is the good-natured, likeable young fellow … the boyfriend and perfect marriage prospect.

Four of Wands and Six of Swords are about leaving the family and putting it behind, yet also can be better prospects for the family as it puts some bad times behind.

Who we marry, and how we leave our nuclear family, determines our future. It is easy to get into a romance and let it develop into something that determines our future as we marry … and much harder to swim out of that tank.  You may relocate to a place away from where you would prosper.

EXPLANATIONS:

Each and every ‘Tarot Reading’ sentence you see is a literal interpretation of the four Rider Waite Tarot cards drawn and pictured for today. (The literal interpretation is from the illustration on each card.) These sentences are put together by only combining the phrases of what each cards says. In other words, there are NO “filler” phrases added just to make full sentences, and no psychic ability or spirit guide is ever involved.

*Without a question* in a group reading to focus the answer, the four Tarot cards can mean quite contradictory things, especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no,’ ‘never’ or ‘not.’ These negative modifiers can apply to any one of the other cards.
*Without a question* in a group reading, the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) are more flexible. Whenever you see a pronoun in parentheses, please *feel very free* to substitute another pronoun than the one used. I try to drop pronouns when possible, which, if you’ve noticed, can make for awkward phrasing.

Now in an ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question and thereby supplies at least half the information! In an individual situation, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too. Here, in a group reading we cannot do that and so we get a variety of sentences.

Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you! (Astrologers know this!)

Tarot, on the other hand, is perfectly capable of flexibly addressing any group, including all of the visitors that come to this site. It can also address people you might not even know personally, such as all the people at your job who have a say in whether or not you get a raise.

We have been wondering here lately whether the Tarot Verbatim(TM) sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than they are for people who visit this site only once in awhile or for a short time. Would you help us with a comment please, if you have not been a regular visitor? Just let us know if the sentences are relevant to you. So far, people say they do apply.

Return to this site often and you can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim(TM) works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Rider Waite Tarot cards with very little effort.
