The Tarot reading here is from the perspective of her love interest, and this presentation is a great example of how one person’s perspective in a relationship can be so self-centered that the other person isn’t in the same relationship at all: two different worlds.

Four of Pentacles – This fellow is hanging onto his money for dear life, and tightly hugging himself as well, far from the town where he made the money, sitting alone in the road on a gray day, staring straight ahead. Four of Pentacles has several very separate categories of definitions. Four of Pentacles can remind you of how Archie Bunker (All in the Family, an old TV show about American culture) would advise his wife ‘Stifle yourself.’ And Four of Pentacles is commonly titled and referred to, in many different Tarot decks, as The Miser for clutching his coins that way.

Today Four of Pentacles appears with one card that means problems with other people (Ten of Pentacles) and one card that refers to a person’s financial affairs (Two of Wands). They each emphasize those two aspects of Four of Pentacles’ meanings.

So today Four of Pentacles features phrases that reflect not getting along with other people – with difficult people since we have Ten of Pentacles’ contribution to our story – and phrases that reflect financial aspects, or financial difficulty.

Here are the words and phrases about social difficulties: not admit, keep quiet about, doesn’t admit it, ‘not know them,’ seal myself off from, having nothing to do with, don’t talk to them, a loner, stifle myself, have something to hide.

Two of Wands – Two of Wands is about money and the future. That’s because the fellow with the globe in his hand is planning how to make more money in the future from his real estate holdings as he gazes at them below his castle-roof patio. His most frequent translates are words that indicate future tense (will, will be, going to, etc.) and words about finance.

The finance category expands to include real estate transactions, banks, mortgages, bank accounts, financial planning, and so on. The combination of future + money brings phrases like ‘will have money.’ Two of Wands refers to profit, and will say ‘pays off’ fairly often.

Today, Four of Pentacles is about lacking money, which brings the word ‘income’ out for Two of Wands. But do remember that ‘financial security’ is one of Two of Wands’ strongest categories, which expands to ‘solid citizen’ and being ‘well-off’ or wealthy.

So Two of Wands is one of your Establishment cards if that is going to be a theme of your spread. Two of Wands can refer to an established person or an established business. In fact, it can refer to business in general.

Today Two of Wands refers to ‘for the good of all’ and ‘in the best interest of.’
Ten of Pentacles – The picture plainly shows a family disagreement. There’s Grandpa on his throne, attended by the dogs. A few feet away, Wife, attended by squalling kid pulling on her skirt, earnestly addresses Husband, who famously looks in the other direction and stares into space. My guess is the man on the throne wants his dynasty expanded by another male, and Wife would like to wait until that log is off her leg before creating another one. (I remember those days.)

Tarot Verbatim™ produces phrases from the illustration of each card (and from any part of the illustration). The elements the various cards have in common create the theme of our reading. Ten of Pentacles is about people not getting along, about being a member of a human group or pod: family, relatives, coworkers, acquaintances or friends, neighbors, politicians, criminal organizations and gangs – anything like that. The picture on Ten of Pentacles expresses the negatives of these groups. We have two other ‘group of people’ cards that express the positives: Ten of Cups and Four of Wands. This is a tight gut. Not having enough of what it takes, or being broke. You are doing without. You are being subdued. You are hiding something, keeping a secret (or a secret is being kept from you). Not only is he financially secure now, but he is ‘set for life.’ Two of Wands is the future, a good future, security or a sure thing (‘will for sure happen’). Savings, pension, future money belong to this card in Tarot Verbatim(TM). It is about the outlook, which brings in the future as a forecast – ‘telling the future.’ It often translates as a future tense or ‘will’ and ‘will be.’
Seven of Wands
Trespassing or being trespassed upon. Invading turf or defending against that. Being the one mouthing off, or dealing with the loudmouth. ‘I’m mad as hell and won’t take it anymore’ or ‘Gimme the car keys, and, no, I won’t buy the gas.’ Steel yourself, either way – right? You see a fellow defending his turf against a surprise invasion of neighbors.
Judgment
This illustration brings together meanings that otherwise would not be related. The angel awakens the dead, returns them to their former state of being alive, with a loud surprising noise. It refers to a new (and usually better) life or phase, anything returning (or returning to the way it was), a surprise, and suddenly.

We got ourselves a story today. We start with being broke, Four of Pentacles, and then there’s financial security, Two of Wands. There’s a struggle, Seven of Wands, to change things or to restore them, Judgment. So there’s one of our main stories, at least.
Two cards in Tarot Verbatim(TM) are about the future being good. Two of Wands, it’s secure now and will be. Judgment, we are going back to better times – a change or shift. The other two cards are tight in the gut, one cringing and keeping quiet (Four of Pentacles) and the other in the throes of defending his own (Seven of Wands).
With Seven of Wands’ other side of being pushy, getting in someone’s face, confronting someone or something, we also have a story of laying low and being quiet (Four of Pentacles) with a plan (Two of Wands) to turn the tables or surprise (Judgment) someone who is tormenting you (Seven of Wands). That can also read ‘Putting a damper (Four of Pentacles) on those outbursts (Seven of Wands) will make for (Two of Wands – future) a good new phase of life (Judgment).’
Do you see a parallel between being confronted by a person who is bullying you or invading your space and being face with poor times and having to sacrifice? Tarot easily slides into these comparisons. Being broke, and having your feelings raped: Is it not a similar thing in your gut?

“Realize it is a sure thing when you feel it’s a sure thing.” Spreads which repeat themselves as pairs are usually ‘difficult,’ as in difficult to get along with. But not today. Today we have sixty or so sentences, and nuances are more numerous than usual, so I have more sentences that appear in more than one category than usual.
Both Ace of Wands and Two of Wands are certainty, as in ‘for certain.’
Hanged Man and Four of Pentacles are both about knowing, private and internal knowing and feeling. Hanged Man often calls up ‘intensely feel’ or ‘intense feeling.’ Four of Pentacles often calls up ‘deep down inside’ and ‘private feelings.’
Ace of Wands is force, assertion, even aggression (hand with a board in it). Four of Pentacles is ‘to restrain.’
Hanged Man is knowing; Four of Pentacles is keeping it inside, keeping a secret.
So our story is about awareness; and about assertion, resisting assertion passively.
Since Ace of Wands represents sexual matters, that meaning is more prominent (ha-ha, one of its main meanings) today with Hanged Man’s ‘intense feeling’ and Four of Pentacles ‘deep down private feeling.’

Two of Wands A guy ‘with the world in his hands’ is sure of himself; and that kind of certainty is what our Two of Wands in Tarot Verbatim™ means. He’s planning what to do with his real estate holdings below to squeeze even more profit out of them – business planning and planning in general. Financial security, pension, bank matters, the future.
Four of Pentacles Things we keep to ourselves – which includes things we cherish, money we hold onto, our deep feelings – as well as our secrets. This card in Tarot Verbatim also speaks of shortage, of feeling inferior. He can be a skinflint, and he can be withholding affection. It isn’t limited to males in its general meaning, but the person in the picture is a guy.
Ace of Wands Primacy (being Number One) is its main meaning. Maleness, assertion, sex (the sprouted limb resembles a penis), are featured, with words such as ‘have to,’ ‘make’ and ‘must’ as well as: clout, succeed, control, overcome, resolve, threatened and threat, and ‘make it a point.’

Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that .
Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)
Horoscopes are group readings too.
Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)
Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please?
Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things, especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.
Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.
The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.

All of these cards are about money; it is the primary meaning of each, even. Hope you don’t miss today’s! Three of Wands is income and money (or good things) coming in; it means ‘continue’ as well. Two of Wands is financial security, a bank or banker, a plan or financial plan, a good outlook, the future.
Four of Pentacles is being short of money, holding onto money, keeping something to yourself, a secret, a deep-down-inside feeling, and to be out of town in the sense of secrecy. Ace of Pentacles is big money, success, perfect, on the right path or track.
So how bad could it be? You begin with income and end with a lot of money in possession.
MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS
Three of Wands Waiting for my ship to come in, the illustration says: The merchant stands on the hill looking at the ships that bring him his income. Income and money (or good things) coming in. It means ‘continue’ and ‘the future’ and ‘looking forward to’ as well.
Two of Wands again is the future, the (rosy) outlook, money in hand, real estate investor or investments, financial security, a bank or banker, a plan or financial plan, the long term. Picture here on the Rider Waite Tarot card is the fellow … I love it … with the world in his hands standing on his patio roof gazing … oh so well-dressed … out over the town that he owns, making plans for more-more-more.
Four of Pentacles clutches his money to himself, sitting outside the town, gazing impassively ahead. Something private and secret is within him. So his Rider Waite Tarot card speaks of exactly these things: being short of money, holding onto money, budgeting or thrift, keeping something to yourself, a secret, a deep-down-inside feeling, and to be out of town in the sense of secrecy. Some other meanings are not used here.
Ace of Pentacles is one of the cards whose main meaning you don’t have to be told: money in hand, prize in possession. You can also see the right path, and being on the right track, can’t you? It also means perfect, and ‘in possession of.’
