Tarot Readings for You for January 6, 2015 Tuesday©

GUIDANCE         One day you wake up different. There’s this new person putting on your shoes and brushing your teeth. You have shed your old shell, your old skin, and are some new creature you may just like. This new perspective is fun, we say here. Spiritual growth proceeds under the surface and breaks through and breaks out into conscious awareness as something of a surprise, often. We are talking about a change in who you are. We liken it to kids growing up.

.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.

‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages from the pictures of the three cards you see – to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow. The family of commenters here would love for you to join in (the very last thing, at the bottom).

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined meanings of the three cards in the pictures in the Tarot Readings.  It explains how these cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONSis a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – than a personal reading would give you. Also, pronouns are flexible: If the sentence feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ but you’re a ‘she,’ well, it’s yours.

*AND if you write names of any two cards into the Google search bar, it will give you meanings of those!

.……………….………..………..

Knight of Swords – Sun – Page of Wands

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

……………….……………………     All our cards are guys today. Both Knight of Swords and Sun are high-energy, and both are leaving someplace. Knight of Swords overtly involves change (his main meaning, along with ‘speed’) and Sun is a picture of leaving the restrictions of home behind (prematurely, in his case, of course!). So we have a movin’ on out feel to our spread. Page of Wands is identity, and a young man (also in good physical shape, and good looking), so this change can be happening geographically, internally, or both. Those often occur together, as we all know.

………………………..      Knight of Swords is one fast-moving son-of-a-gun. He gets out, he gets in, he is a turnaround, a switch, a sudden change … and anything sudden, really. In the picture here, he is about to use that sword: You would not hold it in that position for long. So he is more likely to be chasing than pursuing, but, hey, in real life, the dude does both. In real life, he make contradictions in your sentences because he … literally … goes either way AND changes back and forth. So he can be that good-looking young man now that he has grown up, or he can be having his second childhood … either way. With Knight of Swords, you look around for what he is saying from his companion cards. Knight of Swords also is ‘sending that man on his way.’

………………………..      Sun is an adventuresome tyke, a reckless liver, a callous bratty rule-breaker. He has snuck out of mama’s house naked to cavort with that wicked pony, that pony who shares his reckless philosophy. But we catch Boy-child in his moment of glory and exhilaration, grandly displaying that banner, hands-free and bareback. He counts as ‘reckless’ in his application, but somehow the consequences, which have not happened at the moment the camera was clicked, are not in his meanings. Instead, we have that freedom, that enjoyment of life, that fun … and applications about child, children, and childhood. This card also comes around to mean leaving the house, as in pulling out of the driveway, even.

………………………..          Page of Wands is a fine young man, Prince Charming, the handsome dude every girl wants and every mother wants to create. There’s his picture, proud and attractive. However, he stands for traits that apply to female entities as well. (I am mindful that ‘person’ cards can refer to animals and other things as well.) This is the clean-cut straight-arrow stand-up well-spoken and well-dressed guy. This is the perfect salesman. Page of Wands further means to talk, to say, to be the spokesperson, to say what you mean, to speak your mind or speak from the heart. Page of Wands is standing up for what you believe in, declaring clearly who you are and where you stand. (What’s a nice guy like him doing with these other two, anyway?) Page of Wands is one of the identity cards, which means it applies as a pronoun sometimes, and means ‘type of person.’ For example, with Sun, ‘I’m a happy person’ and with Knight of Swords ‘changes who you are.’ Page of Wands also means ‘name’ and ‘in the name of’ so that Page of Wands and Knight of Swords can be a change of name, for instance.

……….…………       Knight of Swords and Sun     Knight of Swords and Sun combine a change and suddenly with a kid, with getting out or leaving, with fun, with freedom, and with enjoying life. These two cards in Tarot Verbatim™ represent things like a change that makes you feel good, getting over childhood, getting over something (I called it ‘a hump’) and feeling good about that. They say life is fun again (because Knight of Swords means ‘again’ as part of its ‘return’ or ‘coming back’ category of meanings). Sun means vacation or time off (via his leaving the restrictions of the house, getting out of it) and Knight of Swords is a change, so you come back from vacation a different person. Sun is a fling too, so a fling changes you. (Add Page of Wands, and it changes who you are). Knight of Swords is a change and movin’ on, and Sun is being a child, so ‘You’re not a kid anymore.’ Sun is a brat too (obviously!) or a callous playboy type, so the cute guy (Page of Wands) leaves you to have his fun not in your house – which strings out three of Sun’s meanings (leaves, fun, not in your house). Also, he went away (Knight of Swords) a brat (Sun). x..

……….………….     Knight of Swords and Page of Wands     Knight of Swords and Page of Wands combine fast and talking to say fast-talking, which becomes ‘blurt,’ and which would often be ‘fast-talking fellow’ because Page of Wands is usually a well-spoken young man. Knight of Swords and Page of Wands combine that comes back or leaves (Knight of Swords) with ‘the cute guy, or the fine young man or identity to say ‘come back a fine young man,’ or ‘the cute guy leaves.’ Knight of Swords is change, and Page of Wands is identity, so: ‘ a change in identity – a new you’ The identity can be the name, so then we have a change of name. Since Knight of Swords means ‘suddenly,’ we have sentences like: Suddenly he is a fine young man. Page of Wands’ identity meaning makes phrases like: I’m a new person; I’m a changed person; I’m a different person; and ‘changes who I am.’ Knight of Swords’ leaving category of meanings combined with the cute young fella that Page of Wands can be says things like: The cute guy leaves you. Since Knight of Swords can be running away, we also have: That cute fella runs away. (Be aware he could also be chasing you … or switching back and forth.) x..

……..……………     Sun and Page of Wands     Sun and Page of Wands both are young, both are male, both are cute or attractive. We have a fun-loving (Sun) handsome fellow (Page of Wands), a playboy. Since Sun is the reckless brat, we can have a callous playboy, the ‘I just wanna have fun’ monster. But we also contrast the brat the fine young man used to be. Page of Wands is talk, and Sun is childhood, so ‘talk about your childhood.’ Since Sun is the kid, and Page of Wands the young man, we have the kid growing up. The young man (Page of Wands) leaving home (Sun) is Page of Wands going off to college, say.

Sun and Page of Wands, relating to Page of Wands identity category of meanings (especially with the influence of their other card companion) mean personal development things like ‘I feel good about myself,’ and ‘I’m a happy person’ and ‘a breakthrough in who you are’ and ‘delighted with my identity.’ We speak of getting out from under restrictions (Sun) and being that fine young person (Page of Wands). x..

.

.

The satisfaction, the good feeling, of expanded awareness that sneaks up on us and pops up so that we notice it on some particular day. Sometimes it’s the passing of time (Maturity is a four-letter word for this.) and sometimes it’s something we are seeking and finding. Another dimension to our vision has sprouted within us like a gift, and we are bigger than we were. While this is a natural progression, it doesn’t feel natural; it feels special.

Knight of Swords     …….. Knight of Swords is one of those changeable guys who is always in a rush, dashing here and there, so he means: change, sudden, sudden change, switching from one to the other, chasing, pursuing, fleeing, running away, energetic. You take two cards that mean different things, add him to their mix, and (most times) your spread can mean A becoming B, B becoming A, or switching back and forth. So the main thing to count at a glance with this fellow in your spread is the hurry and the energy. Look to his environment for the rest of his action or direction. You know people like him, don’t you? The picture shows the dashing forth.

.

Sun …………Sun just wants to get free of the rules and have him some fun. He is about child or children or childish, childhood or boyhood, enjoyment of life, relief of getting out from under something that held (you) back, free and freedom, vacation or party time, playboy, leaving the house, boyish charm, reckless disregard, a fling, uninhibited and impulsive actions or that type of person. (King of Wands appears with him often to bring out the ‘uninhibited and impulsive’ interpretation.)

.

Page of Wands    ………….      Page of Wands is the respectable one here. His main meanings are the respectable person we all like; to speak, talk, say or tell; to be a particular type of person – identity; to stand up for what (you) believe or are. His stereotype is the good-looking Prince Charming type young man. He is the spokesperson – he is public relations. He can be vain and too well-dressed sometimes (foppish). This card in Tarot Verbatim™ can mean ‘name’ and can simply be a pronoun, usually he, myself and himself.

Tarot Readings for You for October 6, 2013 Sunday(c)

Guidance    … transitions in a fellow’s behavior … transition between being a respectable person who is attractive to others and being an irresponsible funloving brat … going in either direction. Very emphatic that he is making this change himself in himself. No one else accounts for who the guy is: He makes the choices; the image he makes is his … and is him. “Our fine boy is turning himself into a delinquent.” or “He is not a kid anymore, he has made himself a fine young man.”

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Sun

Knight of Swords – Page of Wands – Magician

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Page of Wands and Magician and Sun are all guy cards that also have some gender neutral meanings. (Like Magician is ‘do’ and Sun is ‘fun.’)

Sun and Page of Wands are youth. Sun is the player, is on vacation enjoying himself, is the reckless brat who breaks the rules, is out having fun, leaving impulsively. Page of Wands is the well-dressed and well-spoken fine young man who is respectable and eager to fit in, be accepted. Page of Wands means a person’s image or identity or good reputation.

Knight of Swords is changing. Put him next to Magician, and it is himself he is changing – especially with Page of Wands being identity, being ‘who I am.’

So today’s Tarot discussion is very much about a fellow who is changing, changing himself. The change can go either way: We have the good guy (Page of Wands ), the callous brat (Sun), the change (Knight of Swords ) and doing it himself (Magician ).

Knight of Swords and Sun both mean ‘leaving.’ Knight of Swords is getting out in a hurry, and Sun has impulsively sneaked out to play.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

Knight of Swords is in a hurry to get out and he is changing.  Changing suddenly, usually.  You see him flying by in such a hurry.  He can be in pursuit, which suits the illustration (sword extended, as Knight leans forward) or can be fleeing, or can just be in a hurry.  He is also a turnaround … which kind of suits meaning both fleeing and pursuing.

Page of Wands is a talker, and is looking good, is in fine shape – well-dressed and well-spoken proud young respectable fellow. Page of Wands is almost always male, as is true of most of the pages in Tarot Verbatim™.  This card represents you when you are into your role or your image.

Magician shows the fellow with his wand raised, the tools of his trade on the table, in the act of making something happen or not happen.  He is always a guy, since he stands for the male principle of action or being active.  He usually calls forth the words:  he, himself, to do (Conjugate that verb for him!), to make (Conjugate that too.), to make (it) happen,  to be the one who did, does, is doing (whatever). It’s also the do-it-yourself card.

Sun If it feels good do it.  I just wanna have fun.  I gotta get out of the house.  The heedless feckless youth who is going to get hurt because he doesn’t know.  The playboy, the brat.  Breaking the rules (or sometimes the law).  The charming boy or fun kid.  Having fun.  You see a young child nude on a wicked pony, not holding on, having a fun time in the summer.

Is this the first time you come here? Well …  what to do:

*Go to Advice to apply what those sentences say to you.  (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Pick those out.  They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.   Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute.  The question in a ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Sun and Page of Wands are youth.  Sun is the player,  the brat.  Page of Wands is the fine young man,  well-spoken and well-dressed,  who is respectable.

Knight of Swords and Sun are both leaving.  Knight of Swords is getting out in a hurry and Sun has sneaked out to play.

Page of Wands,  Magician and Sun are identified with males.

Knight of Swords also means a change,  which makes a change of identity –  between being an acceptable and respectable well-dressed person and being a (naked) brat –  a strong theme here.  Especially when you add in that Knight of Swords and Magician refer to making a change or ‘changing himself.’

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Knight of Swords is in a hurry to get out and he is changing.  Changing suddenly,  usually.  You see him flying by in such a hurry.  He can be in pursuit,  which suits the illustration (sword extended,  as Knight leans forward) or can be fleeing,  or can just be in a hurry.  He is also a turnaround …  which kind of suits meaning both fleeing and pursuing. (I do not make up the meanings;  I discover them.)

Page of Wands talks and is looking good,  is in fine shape –  well-dressed and well-spoken proud young respectable youth.  Almost always male,  as is true of most of the pages in Tarot Verbatim ™ .  He is into his role,  his image, like a politician whose wife is never too sexy.

Magician shows the fellow with his wand raised,  the tools of his trade on the table,  in the act of making something happen or not happen.  He is always male since he stands for the male principle of action or being active.  He usually calls forth the words:  he,  himself,  to do (conjugate that verb for him!),  to make,  to make (it) happen,  to be the one who …

Sun If it feels good do it.  I just wanna have fun.  I gotta get out of the house.  The heedless feckless youth who is going to get hurt because he doesn’t know what that is.  The playboy,  the brat.  Breaking the rules (or sometimes the law).  The charming boy or fun kid.  Having fun.  You see a young child nude on a wicked pony,  not holding on,  having a fun time in the summer.

Romance Perspective:
He hurries back to talk to his old sweetheart, a kid at heart.
He quickly returns to talk romance and fun with his old flame.
Rekindling the old love feelings in an even more lighthearted way.
It’s the children that keep him coming back there.
He leaves home – many times leaves home.
Messages about the child/children returning home.
Freely talk about the good old days again.
He is a changed man, talks about leaving the past.
Suddenly talks about having fun with the girl he loves.
In love again, having lots of fun.
All of a sudden there’s a baby – lots of babies.
Sweethearts, with many happy returns.
It’s fun to give her another romantic card .
It’s fun to give her one gift after another.

Other Perspectives:

Many emergencies with the children.
A lot of changes made to the old house just as he is leaving it.
Gets out of the house – many times gets out for some fun.
Another kid? – one more kid?
Back to the birthplace again, having lots of fun.
Reliving happy scenes of childhood, going back to the old home many times.
Another birthday – many more happy ones.
Kid goes back home time after time.
Regressed to childhood, talks like a child.
Vacation in a nostalgic place or quaint place, returns there often.
Trusts he will escape each and every strike/emergency.

Well, the first thing you should notice in this quatrain of Tarot cards is that they begin and end with children.  The first ‘children’ card means romantic, a gift (especially birthday or Valentine) and trust as well as an old house and home sweet home and one’s birthplace.  And the last ‘children’ card also means fun, a vacation, and to leave a house.  Then in the middle what both cards have in common is quickness.  One of these means to return or go back to and ‘sudden,’ and the other means more and more or many times, as well as ‘messages’ or ‘talk,’ – any kind of communication, actually.  Don’t tell me, with these illustrations and these meanings, you can’t come up with a plethora of other messages!

Meanings and Illustrations:

Six of Cups: Little boy gives little girl flowers, in front of an old fashioned home (which looks more like an apartment building to us), This painting is very nostalgic in tone, isn’t it?  Meanings that grow out of this scene are:  sweetheart, romance with an old flame, old love feelings, children, home, child/children, the good old days, the past, the sweet past, the girl he loves, in love, babies, sweethearts, romantic, give a gift, old house, house, kid, birthplace, happy scenes of childhood, old home, birthday, childhood, like a child, a nostalgic place, quaint place, and trust.  This is a warm fuzzy card, the warmest fuzziest card in the deck.  If you had to live a card, this might be the one if you are into cozy.

Knight of Swords: Here the dude is again, rushing there, rushing back and rushing, going at breakneck speed.  His horse is movin’.  He is returning, he is doing it again, he is striking, he is doing another, even regressing. You can look for this card to reflect any “re-” idea, as in rekindle here.

Eight of Wands: This is one of those cards that in Rider Waite shows up way more often than its random distribution would suggest.  It shows limbs flying one after another quickly, and the illustration suggests lines, so it comes to mean any kind of message or communication.  Phrases like ‘each and every’ or ‘time after time’ that suggest succession of events belong to the Eight of Wands Rider Waite Tarot card.  It very often means quickly, talk, often, repeatedly – pretty simple.  You get it.  I will say no more.

Sun: Here this flexible card is more defined because two of its meanings – ‘child’ and ‘leave’ – are expressed by the preceding cards, and the first card echoes the ‘home’ theme of Sun.  Phrases for it today include: a kid at heart, child, baby, kid, fun, lighthearted, having fun, gets out of the house for some fun, escape, vacation, freely, leaves home, leaving, leaving the house.
