Today Knight of Swords is paired with getting away because of the meanings of World (nothing to do with) and Six of Wands (getting drawn into something that’s against one’s own interest). Today the meaning of Six of Wands (a many-storied Rider Waite Tarot card in Tarot Verbatim’s™ roster) is: a person who is a missionary for his own agenda, a person who draws followers to his camp. Six of Wands is ‘sign my petition,’ ‘vote for my choice,’ and ‘follow me,’ with an agenda. Be careful what you wish for – this is the story of King Richard III’s victory over some invading Arabs, but the victory was a setup to get him captured and forever away from his throne. The downside of a win. You got the job but now you’re stuck with something. Six of Wands also means, plain and simple, ‘to pretend’ and ‘to influence’ or ‘to have an influence.’ For example, ‘Her influence changes my ways,’ and ‘She only pretends to be hard to get.’

Knight of Swords
He is all about speed, fast, running, quickly, hurry, without a doubt. But he can be leaving, he can be going back, he can be changing direction, he can be pursuing, and he can be fleeing. Other cards and the question determine the direction of his headlong travel.
Nextly, Knight of Swords is about a change or a difference (usually making a difference, but not always).
This is an energy card. The effort is aerobic. So Knight of Swords means things like strike and breakthrough.
Three of Pentacles
People are herd mammals, you know: They get together and do things, and they identify themselves as members or not-members of this or that group. They define themselves by relationships. They define themselves by whether they agree or disagree with this or that. It goes on forever, these humans and their group life!
Three of Pentacles is about meeting, agreements, getting together, business, getting together and getting business (or other social interaction) done. Here you see a business deal. A general contractor/architect meets with the people who hired him to build their church. They compare the building to the blueprint, and will pay him because he lived up to the agreement in the contract. Three of Pentacles is about this getting together, this meeting of the minds, and this legally binding contract between the parties. Living up to doing what you agreed to do is a big point of Three of Pentacles: I held up my end of the bargain.
Three of Pentacles is about a transaction. It is often a buy/sell transaction, but it can be friends, coworkers, or any human interaction.

We are not into World’s esoteric meanings here, but World is a very otherworldly Tarot card. You can Google ‘World Tarot Verbatim’ for that report.
Right here, World is the opposite of its neighbor card Three of Pentacles. Three of Pentacles is the get-together, is the putting-heads-together to make a consensus that the members of the group abide by because they agreed together. Three of Pentacles is all about ‘together’ and World is all about ‘alone.’
World is immune to entanglements, is unaffected by environment (including fellow humans in that environment). Just look at the picture: The wreath is a wall that separates Our Girl from all those miscellaneous potential influences. Think Greta Garbo: “I want to be alone.” Teflon lady. Untouchable. Unavailable. These are words World often brings up, but not today.
World is one of a kind. World is the dancer to a different drummer, alive in privacy. World is the superior woman or superior person, with overtones that the superiority lies in spiritual life. As the superior person, World is one of the cards that mean ‘expert,’ as is Nine of Pentacles, who also occupies a niche of her own.
Well, World is also the shapely woman. The dancer – because she is dancing. She can be a magician because of the wands in each hand.

Just looking at the four pictures, you can see World walled off from action around her, with the strange observer in Page of Cups. That is what our sentences are all about, too.
Five of Wands is involvement, intense activity, struggle, fight, competition, exertion or effort. Knight of Swords is being worked up into a lather speeding, rushing, throwing yourself in that activity of Five of Wands.
Page of Cups is the strange fellow, is one of the Tarot cards that in Tarot Verbatim™ can put the sentence into question form. It often brings the word ‘silly’ or a similar adjective into the sentence.
And like I said, there’s World, all by herself not interested, not participating, not connected and not available to any of these other cards’ influences.
Our messages are quixotic – ones like ‘With great effort, she gets away and excludes herself from the silly goings-on.’ They should be fun. I like the ‘Sometimes I wonder about myself’ ones, myself.

Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that .
Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)
Horoscopes are group readings too.
Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things, especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.
Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.
The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD
Four unrelated Tarot cards once again make variations of the same statement, plus a few expressions I had to dig for.
Ace of Pentacles is the right way, the right road or path, money, money in hand, being straight. Knight of Swords is a quick change of directions, as in ‘to go back’ and it means in a hurry. Then World means being so superior nothing interferes with you, followed by Ten of Pentacles, the trouble making people, the difficulties other people cause.
Ace of Pentacles, going straight, contrasts with Ten of Pentacles, the people who complicate your life.
Ace of Pentacles is a road, and Knight of Swords is hurrying on it, doubling back.
Once again, the saga suggested is very clear, and has few variations. I hunted for some.
MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS
Ace of Pentacles is the right way, the right road or path or course of action; is money and money in hand, and a large sum; is being straight or going straight. You see a hand with a large coin representation in it over a ‘straight and narrow’ path with lilies in front and a arbor of roses at its end.
Knight of Swords is a turnaround, and therefore can mean either pursuit or fleeing; being in a big hurry or rush. You see a knight in full armor with his big ole sword extended and his horse flying. Even the clouds are jagged and rushed-looking. The expression on his face is definitely that of a hunter. He is more pursuing than fleeing.
World is the apex of spiritual maturity, ability and power, the stage in which a person repels trouble and troublemakers by reason of being so able to deal with it, by reason of the look you give the mugger makes him reconsider. The figure is meant to be hermaphrodite but looks very female. Hermaphrodite is considered superior in occultism in principle because it contains the whole human spectrum, not just half. Anyway, the wreath represents the repelling of the person’s presence, repelling the various human, animal, and elemental monsters on the outside of the wreath, none of whom are even looking at the naked figure dancing freely with not one but two wands in (its) hands.
Ten of Pentacles is the influence of the group on a person, is about being a member of a family or group, and represents the dysfunctional side of that concept. Two other Rider Waite Tarot cards, in the Tarot Verbatim ™ system, represent the positive side of that influence. The illustration shows a family quarrel, with Grandpa on his throne, and Son refusing to listen to his earnest’s wife’s expression … oh yeah, and the squalling brat pulling on mama’s clothes.
