Tarot Verbatim
GUIDANCE We are looking for our lost shaker of salt here. We don’t know whether we’re on the right, or the wrong, track. We could be a sinner in search of we-know-not what. We could be sobering up and wondering what awful scene we were in. We could have been prescribed the wrong meds. We could have done wrong when we knew to do right. Maybe we are looking for the guilty party. We could even be shaking our heads at our foolish friend’s blunder, wondering why some old person is hateful, or taking a good look at some twisted weirdo. It’s so difficult for a dummy like me to wise up! Today our stores come complete with question marks.
.
Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!
People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.
‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages from the pictures of the three cards you see – to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.
Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow. The family of commenters here would love for you to join in (the very last thing, at the bottom).

Tarot Readings: Taking a Good Look at a Bad Scene (Moon and Hermit)
Sometimes when you’re lost you’re on the right track.
How can I be so wrong when I know so much?
How could I go so wrong when I was looking where I was going?
You feel silly when you have gone the wrong way, and you find the right way.
You go straight, and you see how stupid the drug made you.
Now that you’ve sobered up, you wonder just how messed-up you were.
We just assume we know right from wrong, don’t we?
Lies are masquerading as facts here.
When you’re fucked-up, you can’t believe what’s real.
Whether it’s right or whether it’s wrong, it doesn’t make sense.
Feeling condemned and wondering about a religious path.
Wiser now, I look back at the mess I was.
…..
…..
Tarot Readings: Whaddya Know? (Hermit and Page of Cups)
Take a good look at this twisted weirdo.
I see what a dumb mistake that was.
There’s an investigation, and I think I’m in hot water.
Finding dark humor in the situation.
Why oh why did I offer to help this person in trouble?
My foolish friend, you have gone so wrong.
…..
…..
Tarot Readings: Lost and Looking (Moon and Hermit)
I’m looking for something I lost.
So why was I looking in all the wrong places?
Where’s the mistake? – I’m looking for it.
A really weird bad dream has you searching for the meaning.
Where am I? – I’m lost and looking for the way.
Looking for the guilty party, are you?
…..

Tarot Readings: How Bad Can It Get? (Moon and Page of Cups)
A study of unreasoning hate.
When the truth is horrible, we doubt it.
What makes a person old and sick?
So difficult for a dummy to wise up.
Unknown hazards on this road at night in winter.
How can you be so calm when things are so wrong?
Why go on foot in such a bad place?
The doctor is an idiot – so very totally wrong.

Now, Part Two,
Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,
*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined meanings of the three cards in the pictures in the Tarot Readings. It explains how these cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONS is a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.
*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures. It is what each of the cards, by itself, has to say. It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.
You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.
This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – than a personal reading would give you. Also, pronouns are flexible: If the sentence feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ but you’re a ‘she,’ well, it’s yours.
*AND if you write names of any two cards into the Google search bar, it will give you meanings of those!

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING
………
………
………
Hermit makes sense, is wise, is on the right track or path. Moon is wrong. Page of Cups, you wonder. Moon is a lie; Hermit is the truth; Page of Cups doesn’t get it anyway. Right or wrong, it’s weird. Hermit is on the path – the sane and right track – and Moon is the wrong way, is crazy; Page of Cups wonders which is which. How could I go so wrong when I am so right? We find ourselves in a quandary, scratching our heads.
………………
………….. Moon has the ‘worst card in the deck’ reputation, and that’s across decks. To me, Moon has too much ‘redeeming social value’ to be that pornographic, you know? I would rather see Moon than Seven or Ten of Swords, any day. Moon’s reputation grows out of its being the road to perdition (hell), evidenced by those two towers which are exactly that in more than one esoteric myth. In a swamp is a crooked road a lobster is embarking upon, flanked by a coyote and dog, natural enemies, palling together: Things are messed up. Moon’s most common word is ‘wrong’ and its synonyms. It means evil and dirty and sordid and perverted and hateful, and all the things you would expect the road to hell to mean. Today, with Hermit as a religious path, and a question mark, it’s a sinner looking for the way. Note that both Hermit and Moon are night scenes, and both are about being on the road. Both Moon and Page of Cups describe a person as a mess.
………………
………….. Hermit is on the road, and he is looking, of course, at the road to hell – but he is on the right path, is honest, genuine, and represents the truth and the right way. You could take most of the meanings of each of these cards and pair them as diametrical opposites. You have right and wrong with Hermit and Moon, so you have stories – especially with the other card being open to question. Both Hermit and Moon are night scenes, and both are about a road.
………………
………….. Page of Cups is a ‘Duh’ card, meaning he wonders and ponders. Page of Cups means goofy, silly, awkward, weird or a weirdo. And Page of Cups is a walking breathing question mark. He means doubt as today he is juxtaposed between being right (on the right track or path, the spiritual path) and being wrong (on the wrong track or path, the evil way or road to hell). Both Moon and Page of Cups describe a person as a mess.
Brainstorm here: Got an idea to put the full sentences, with the names of the cards that supply each phrase, instead of three sets that identify a pair of cards’ meanings – because then you have the whole thing, instead of parts with blanks. The two-card phrases are already over there in their own bin. Let me know how this works for you. (I keep improving this blog as time goes by. I look at its humble beginnings and marvel.) So here you go:

Times in everyone’s life of being marooned in a masquerade, of even being stuck in stupid as we wonder which end is up because we didn’t read the labels. Hope this has happened to you already. Moon ……….. Things go wrong, things go kerflooey … or maybe we just thought they did, and it turned out it was we ourselves who were upside-down and the world was sober after all. Don’t you hate that? Moon pictures those delusional and illusional times. Moon is the meanderings of lost souls. It is the wrong path as Ace of Pentacles is the right path. Moon means wrong – its most common translate, along with ‘mistake.’ The towers in it are of ill repute as markers of the entrance to hell at the ends of the earth in more than one myth. Remember, the ends of the earth were once very real. Moon is fear and hate and sickness and insanity … anything you don’t want to experience. It has some lighter applications too, but not today, so we won’t go into them.
.

Hermit…………. Hermit is searching, but he is wise already as to both the facts and the truth – and that is wise indeed! He is a monk and a doctor, which brings him a lot of applications we don’t use much today. Today he is all about being on the right path and looking for something. Hermit is famous for being helpful, being a friend, being monogamous or celibate, being sober and calm.
.

Page of Cups …………. Page of Cups, I dunno, it makes you wonder, what’s up anyway? Your awkward moments when you don’t know how to act, what to say, are Page of Cups moments. Those times when you question everything are another kind of Page of Cups moment. Those times when the situation is one big question mark. Page of Cups instructs you to put your spread into question form, very commonly.

Four Card Spreads, Guidance, Tarot Readings for You
Guidance Our story today is about how suffering and bad times bring people together. We are also about how relationships that are terrible are still relationships as people are ‘friends through thick and thin.’ People put their heads together over their friend’s distress. People are still friends with messed-up people.
Instructions: Are YOU here for the first time? Come in! People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ is a summary of what the cards are generally advising visitors to be aware of that day. ‘Tarot Readings’ is the actual word for word messages the cards are conveying. Tarot can come up with a wide variety of sentences (sometimes even completely contradictory sentences!) in a group reading as there is no specific question being asked. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING
.
Our configuration shows three cards that refer to friends and relationship. In the middle of them is ‘the worst card in the deck,’ Moon. So right off the bat it’s obvious we are talking about friends who get together over a problem.
Both Hermit and Knight of Cups are friends, and both are coming to, and both are offering help. Having two such similar cards indicates emphasis, indicates that that is the focus, that is what is important.
Three of Pentacles is a relationship, a meeting, and working things out or negotiating. It is people getting together on something, putting heads together on something. This card equates business with romantic and social life: It is about exchanges. Business meetings and legal proceedings are part of it.
Moon’s illustration shows the Left Hand Path, the road to hell. It means ‘horrible,’ and ‘worst.’ It means suffering, fear, addiction and sickness, and anything awful. It means ‘lost.’
Our story today is about how suffering and bad times bring people together. Three of Pentacles is a relationship, a meeting, and working things out or negotiating. It is people getting together on something, putting heads together on something. This card equates business with romantic and social life: It is about exchanges. Business meetings and legal proceedings are part of it. The illustration shows an architect, blueprint in hand, demonstrating he is worthy of his last draw, the big one.
Moon’s illustration shows the Left Hand Path, the road to hell. It means ‘horrible,’ and ‘worst.’ It means suffering, fear, addiction and sickness, and anything awful. It means ‘lost.’ It means twisted, messed up, wrong. Chaos, miasma, insanity (literal and figurative). The lobster goes on a land journey, coyotes are hanging out with a dog, and those two pillars there are symbols of evil.
Hermit is out on the road at night with his lamp, seeking travelers who could use his help. He is a monk, a healing monk, so he stands for physicians and counselors. He is sincere. He is a true friend. He comes to help.
Knight of Cups is your friend who comes to you to offer help. He is the guy we all like, who can sell us anything, the good guy, our friend. He has a gift for putting his hand out first. Of course, this is the Boyfriend card too. He is about being agreeable, and getting others to agree.
EXPLANATIONS:
Each and every ‘Tarot Reading’ sentence you see is a literal interpretation of the four Rider Waite Tarot cards drawn and pictured for today. (The literal interpretation is from the illustration on each card.) These sentences are put together by only combining the phrases of what each cards says. In other words, there are NO “filler” phrases added just to make full sentences, and no psychic ability or spirit guide is ever involved.
*Without a question* in a group reading to focus the answer, the four Tarot cards can mean quite contradictory things, especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no,’ ‘never’ or ‘not.’ These negative modifiers can apply to any one of the other cards.
*Without a question* in a group reading, the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) are more flexible. Whenever you see a pronoun in parentheses, please *feel very free* to substitute another pronoun than the one used. I try to drop pronouns when possible, which, if you’ve noticed, can make for awkward phrasing.
Now in an ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question and thereby supplies at least half the information! In an individual situation, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too. Here, in a group reading we cannot do that and so we get a variety of sentences.
Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you! (Astrologers know this!)
Tarot, on the other hand, is perfectly capable of flexibly addressing any group, including all of the visitors that come to this site. It can also address people you might not even know personally, such as all the people at your job who have a say in whether or not you get a raise.
We have been wondering here lately whether the Tarot Verbatim(TM) sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than they are for people who visit this site only once in awhile or for a short time. Would you help us with a comment please, if you have not been a regular visitor? Just let us know if the sentences are relevant to you. So far, people say they do apply.
Return to this site often and you can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim(TM) works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Rider Waite Tarot cards with very little effort.

INSTRUCTIONS: How to use the material we have for you here. Read the sentences, and pick out the ones that seem to apply to you, to the people around you. They are a Tarot analysis of your day’s circumstances. As the day (or several days) unfolds, you may find the information is relevant. The question is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.” Often, your adopting the attitude you feel in the blog works for your day!
Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean even contradictory things. Without a question also the pronouns are less specific, more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When in parentheses, especially, you can substitute another pronoun. The Advice section sums up a general meaning of all the sentences.

Moon
Hermit, King of Cups, Four of Cups
The Hermit and the King of Cups walk on the stage first, two of the ‘good guy’ Rider Waite Tarot cards. Both are often older men, especially the elderly depiction on the Hermit. The King of Cups is an emotional man who is polite, a bureaucratic personality, may be weak, may be a drinking man. The Hermit also stands for sincerity and truth, seeking for or looking, as well as for the facts themselves – even an investigation. You can see how these two would be friends.
Next are two Rider Waite Tarot cards that taken together commonly mean to resist evil. The Four of Cups means to refuse every time it is offered; won’t hear of it, refuses to believe it; to resist, to resist temptation; and sometimes negating words such as ‘not’ and ‘no way.’ The Moon is referred to as ‘the worst card in the deck.’ It means a plethora of bugaboos and nasty things. Here in this four-Tarot-card layout we have an emphasis on being good, and then ‘refusing,’ so the Moon is meaning such things as: wrong, mistaken, lies, evil.
As one of the negating cards, The Four of Cups produces ‘not’ sometimes. (When that happens, you get contradictory sentences as the ‘not’ attaches itself to one or the other cards. For example ‘not believe the truth’ comes from Four of Cups with Hermit; and then ‘not believe a lie’ is Four of Cups and Moon. If we had a specific question, the contradictory clash probably would not occur.)
Advice is to know your own emotional makeup so it does not distort your perception as you search for your own path. Tacking against your own known deviation, taking your inclinations into account, puts you on a straighter course.
Let’s say I know I tend to be judgmental, opinionated and of no mind to suffer fools. Therefore, I should check out what kindness would have to say, since I know I tend to turn a deaf ear to the plight of weaklings. Or the opposite: Say I know I am a bleeding heart, so I had better bend an ear to strictly factual input – never mind the kindness stuff, the warm fuzzy stuff – to get my accurate view.
A good heart will not get you there. That’s a deviation. A good analysis of fact will not get you there. That’s a deviation. Either one – the good heart or the good head – means you are not lost as long as you are still searching. To truly ‘get there,’ you need to put both the heart and the head together, both severity and mildness together in sync. But you don’t have to find some perfect plumb line common to all: The place that is your goal is the place that is true for your type; it is not one-size-fits-all. (Many mansions.)
TAROT ANALYSIS OF YOUR DAY
Romantic Perspective:
It’s his mistake to be sincere about not feeling affection.

Meanings and Illustrations:
Hermit: The Hermit stands for sincerity and truth, seeking for or looking, as well as for the facts themselves – even an investigation. He is a monk searching for travelers who need help.
King of Cups: The King of Cups is an emotional man who is polite, a bureaucratic personality, may be weak, may be a drinking man. His throne is surrounded by splashing water, and ships are tossed in that water. Water symbolizes emotions. An emotional man can be a weak man. He is a bureaucrat, he probably drinks.
Four of Cups: The Four of Cups means to refuse every time it is offered; won’t hear of it, refuses to believe it; to resist, to resist temptation; and sometimes negating words such as ‘not’ and ‘no way.’ You can see him with his arms crossed and looking down as yet another cup is proffered by the disembodied hand.
Moon: The Moon is referred to as ‘the worst card in the deck.’ It means a plethora of bugaboos and nasty things. Here in this four-Tarot-card layout we have an emphasis on being good, and then ‘refusing,’ so the Moon is meaning such things as: wrong, mistaken, lies, evil.
