Tarot Readings for You for May 29, 2014 Thursday(c)

Guidance    Recipes for success and happiness: That’s our topic.  Be an honest person yourself, and be with people you can trust: That, we claim, is a successful life.  Choose a project you enjoy and can tell people about.  That, we claim, is the good life.  The people we hang out with affect our outlook on life as well as our life.  If you want to accomplish an ambition, instead of going it alone as the spokesperson for it, get likeminded people together.  Today we speak of associating with other humans, various aspects of it: flirting, glamor as a factor, and the getting-ahead type of success.   The underlying message is to consciously choose your friends and your circle.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.

‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages from the pictures of the four cards you see – to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONSis a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Page of Wands – Three of Cups – Chariot

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

In Tarot Verbatim™, each and all of these three cards are primarily about success:

Page of Wands is the young man on the way up: He dresses well, speaks well, and projects a personality pleasing to all. You could call him ‘the fair-haired boy.’ He is the spokesperson, because Page of Wands speaks, tells – one of the communication cards in Tarot Verbatim™.

Fairly frequently, Page of Wands translates simply ‘he.’ This is also one of the cards that indicate a person is young, or youngish, or looks boyish. It means good-looking or handsome. It means identity: the type a person is, the name, what he/she is affiliated with. Put it next to Hierophant, the pope, and you’ve probably got yourself a Catholic boy.

Three of Cups is about pooling money and making a profit, splitting it up as friends celebrating together. The picture shows three young women, so this is the card for successful women.

Three of Cups is about people together who trust one another. It is about enjoying life, getting along, having friends, and, yes, partying and celebrating together. These gals can be flirty, too.

Chariot is the champion, the project manager, the highly skilled leader who wins, is dedicated and decisive. Chariot even translates ‘success’ and ‘successful,’ very frequently. As a person, Chariot is a strategist, and Chariot also translates ‘strategy.’ He is famous for using all elements of his situations to further his ambition, not just the factors that favor his intention.

….…..………………………. Page of Wands and Three of Cups   Page of Wands and Three of Cups are both stylish people, social people, good well-intentioned people. Three of Cups says ‘likeminded people’ and Page of Wands is ‘the type of person.’ Page of Wands is honest, and Three of Cups are trustworthy. Together, they easily say ‘Be with likeminded honest people like yourself’ and also just ‘Get together with your friends.’

Page of Wands is a single person, unaffiliated as yet, whereas Three of Cups are working together in union.

……..………………………… Page of Wands and Chariot   Page of Wands and Chariot each represent success, being the spokesperson (Page of Wands) or leader (Chariot). They both ‘get with the program.’ They both translate ‘he’ fairly often.

……..………………………..Three of Cups and Chariot   Three of Cups and Chariot point out that having the look, and being the type, and glamor, are factors in success. Social people get ahead, they say together: Three of Cups is social people, and Chariot is the leader on the winning side. Together, these two also say ‘successful women,’ because Three of Cups shows a group of women, and Chariot reeks of success at every turn of his wheel.

Three of Cups …………Friends get together and toast their mutual success. They celebrate the profit they have split after the harvest of their cooperative labors. They trust one another. Since the illustration shows young women, Three of Cups gets to mean successful woman, women who have a good time, dating, partying, and social women. Pooling money is another of Three of Cups’ bailiwicks: mutual funds, etc.

Tarot Readings: Being That Type of Person (Page of Wands)

Page of Wands

In their company, I am inspired to be my best self.

He envisions himself as both responsible and sociable.

He aims to be the kind of guy who ‘gets’ girl talk.

Women who are VIPs have the insight to be that type, and fit in.

He is intensely ‘one of the girls,’ on purpose.

He intensely envisions himself as one of the people who get ahead.

He feels he is material to be in the circle of highly effective people.

She instinctively knows who to be and what to say, to be popular.

He is both consciously and subconsciously the type of person who is effective and popular.

This good-looking fellow gets the girls – he understands women so well.

The women all see him as a good-looking successful man.

Everybody sees this person as the type to get ahead, and be accepted.

Your friends see you as the type to get ahead.

Tarot Readings: Speaking and Understanding What Is Said (Hanged Man and Page of Wands)

Hanged Man  Page of Wands

Only a good strategist can both speak her mind and be ‘one of the girls.’

He handles himself so well as a team member that he can frankly speak his mind.

A really good manager says something, and the team gets it as their own idea.

His skill as a supervisor is understanding what women are saying.

A skilled manager talks the way the team sees things.

(A skilled manager speaks in the perspective of the team members.)

Speaking so as to be understood by everybody is a person’s skill.

We all share his ideas, he speaks them that effectively.

A skilled strategist who is an effective communicator gets ahead by being fully accepted by the team.

Tarot Readings: Miscellaneous

We all joyfully intend to be together on this, both consciously and in our guts.

He feels his vehicle makes him popular with women.

A honcho recognized him as the guy who was partying with those girls.

Three of Cups

Three of Cups

The women friends pooled their money on growing pumpkins, shared the labor, and are now celebrating, still as friends, the sharing of the proceeds, the profits, of the farm.    Three of Cups is about the sharing, the celebration, and being a full-fledged team member who is heartily accepted as ‘one of us.’  The celebration part of it extends to partying (of any sort).  The sharing is any sort as well – financial, emotional, ideology … whatever.

Chariot

Chariot

Being a leader by mastering an important skill:  That is a winning strategy that Chariot is all about.  Charioteers were the military heroes, the Marine special ops, of their day.  Getting ahead by using all the elements of the situation to serve your purpose, even the opposing elements.  Making that obstacle your footstool.  Chariot represents the effective person, the skilled project manager, the masterful man, getting ahead, being successful, strategy and strategist.  This is a very male card but can describe what a woman is doing and being.  You just never see it mean ‘she.’

Hanged Man

Hanged Man

Hanged Man describes that disoriented feeling, that upside-down, hair-on-fire feeling that we get when the part of ourselves we know nothing about (subconscious) kicks a concept or two onto the floor of our everyday awareness.  It’s insight, eureka, deja vu, – an enlightening thought or realization striking – ‘getting it.’  It’s recognition too, even as simple as recognizing who a person is.

Page of Wands

Page of Wands

Here’s a proud young man, all dressed up and standing up straight, looking good, ready to fit in as an apprentice and talk the talk – ready to be his very best self.  Today we use the image part of his meanings the most; today we talk about being a type of person.  Page of Wands refers to the physical body – He is handsome, remember? – and thus to physical awareness, to the conscious part of the mind. This card often is the pronoun ‘he.’  It often refers to saying something or to speech.  It is also about being respectable, clean cut, and standing up for what you believe, for who you really are. It stands for being who you really are as well, of course.

Now Without The Pictures

This is fun!  Hanged Man is an enlightening thought or realization striking – a recognition, ‘getting it’; and Page of Wands is being a type of person, being one’s best self, declaring how one really thinks and feels.  These two also mean conscious (Page of Wands as the body) and subconscious (Hanged Man as the subconscious kicking a concept onto the floor of our conscious awareness).

Up comes Chariot, the effective person, the skilled project manager, the masterful man, getting ahead, being successful, strategy and strategist.  Putting the three together, Hanged Man and Page of Wands are the type to deliver the idea, and Chariot says ‘effectively’ and this person’s ambitions or purposes are fulfilled by his ability to be effective and to speak effectively.

Three of Cups adds being popular, being accepted, being a full-fledged team member who is heartily accepted as ‘one of us.’  A skilled strategist who is an effective communicator gets ahead by being fully accepted by the team.

What do you want?  Who and what do you want to be?  Where do you want to end up?  Go adapt yourself to that environment, color yourself with its characteristics, speak its language, be so accepted there that you are listened to and can accomplish that purpose you have in mind.  We are not speaking of social climbing or fitting in with the crowd; we are speaking of being who you are and communicating (presenting) who you are so effectively people buy your program because it’s theirs now, they get it from the inside out.  This could be pictured as (ha-ha) being an honest con artist, because our four cards are describing that process to a ‘T.’

A discriminating person chooses only the best.  That is what the word means.  Tarot waxes humorous about this subject.  Today we see parallels in *choosing a good person to love, one with a good name; *rejecting what is harmful to the body and choosing what is good for it; *being resistant to sales persuasion; *being likely to get ahead in this world because we are determined and ambitious; and *being choosy about whom we associate with.   Tarot has a gift for showing the same pattern in what our conscious minds see as different and unrelated categories.  That is a difference between the conscious and the not-conscious mind, a difference language accounts for much of.

Tarot Readings: A Woman an Eligible Bachelor Chooses (World + Chariot, Page of Wands)

World Chariot Page of Wands

A guy is a success when he talks a woman who isn’t interested into loving him.

She does not care what car he drives; she loves him for himself.

She is so in love with herself that eligible bachelors choose her to flirt with.

Good-looking men love women who have goals that are not them.

He chooses a shapely woman and sweet-talks her into loving him.

Successful young men get the good-looking gals easily.

He goes after a woman who has a good name.

He drives a car he can be proud of, and has the love of a woman who

It is easier to accomplish something if a person shuts every other thing out.

She is no easy sell; she has a mind of her own, and pays no attention.

World

World

Just as there is a bubble of protective awareness around a street-wise person on the street, there is a bubble of awareness around a spiritual adept in spiritual territory.  Both repel trouble and troublemakers without actively doing so; it is a matter of a predator not seeing something that isn’t prey.  The wreath around the dancing female figure represents that bubble of awareness:  The monsters are looking the other way.  World is about that kind of discrimination, the internal choices that order our external situations.   World has many, many phrases.  Some we use here are being clean, not acknowledging bad influences, repelling them; being spiritual, being an adept spiritually, and a ‘woman who is not interested,’ from a man’s point of view.

Ace of Cups

Ace of Cups

This illustration is opaque (not clear).  It is from an allegory of Ste. Teresa d’Avila’s about the fountain that represents the presence of God being available to a person, that the flow keeps the fountain full.  (It’s from her Interior Castle, considered the main work of Western mysticism by scholars who get to say so.) The five flows there are the five senses or five bodily fluids of Middle Ages writings.  You see the Roman Catholic dove for Holy Spirit, and the wafer of communion going into the flows.  Ace of Cups means love, ease and easily, flow, good and goodness, no harm or harmless, spiritual, godly or channeling the presence of God in one’s life.  It also means good health.

Chariot

Chariot

The responsible person, a man driven to accomplish his purpose or fulfill his mission using even factors that mitigate against its success to further that success.  That, of course, is strategy.  It’s tacking against the wind on a sailboat.  This is a person who has made a decision, who is a success, and who is the leader, the project manager.  The illustration shows a charioteer, who was the special operations soldier of his day.

Page of Wands

Page of Wands

Here’s a nice simple refreshing card after all those esoteric overtones from the others.  (I left out the esoteric part of Chariot; we have gone into it a number of times recently.)  He is a young man, well-dressed and good-looking.  He stands erect, making some statement.  He has a good name, is a fine upstanding person, a responsible person.  He is success bound – earnest with good intentions to succeed.  He is every mother’s wanna-be son and many girls’ wanna be paramour.

Learn Tarot

Now Without The Pictures

Emphasis today is being clean.  Three of four of our Rider Waite Tarot cards have to do with that one way or the other.  World does not acknowledge bad influences, repels them even.  Ace of Cups means being clean, pure, godly (channeling Holy Spirit, even).  Page of Wands is clean-cut, upstanding, a fine person.

Two of our panelists at the Tarot table mean spiritual.  World is an adept spiritually; Ace of Cups, as I said, means godly or channeling the presence of God.

Chariot and Page of Wands are responsible people (usually male) who have made a decision.  Chariot is a success; Page of Wands is success-bound. Chariot is responsible for a project and will – by any means, creatively using factors that are against progress for it – accomplish it.  Page of Wands is earnest with good intentions to do the same.

World is a woman who is ‘not interested’ and Chariot is a man driven to accomplish his purpose.  In between them is ‘love’ in Ace of Cups (true love, even).  Page of Wands declares:  Ace of Cups, his love; Chariot, his purpose.  These cards taken together are advice to a woman to let the dude make the move, and to a man to take the initiative.

In the same way we have delineated the love interest story, there’s a ‘sales pitch’ story parallel to it.  A person who is ‘hard sell’ is persuaded to go along with a determined (Chariot) salesperson (Page of Wands).  Notice how Tarot finds the same processes, expressed with the same cards, in different areas of life.  This is  a way you will find yourself thinking as you develop subconscious (and spiritual) awareness – which is pretty much the same thing as personal growth.

Our Daily Spread January 27, 2012 Friday©

Advice   Growing up in a screwed-up bad scene motivates a person to get out of there and succeed (sometimes).   The opposite of this is the person who has the good-guy respectable look and uses it to take advantage,  con,  mooch and steal from fellow humans.   Self-improvement or destroying others:  Contrast.   We also say that a person who has exited the internal or external ghetto can inspire others to do so by example.

Look Honest to Rip Them Off (Five of Swords + Page of Wands)

A bad company intends to take advantage of its good member(s).

He is the ambitious spokesperson for a shlock company that cuts a lot of corners.

The body shop that rips people off is sooo respectable.

To succeed in dealing with the public, be both intimidating and such a good guy.

He succeeds in ripping off all the relatives with his good-guy act.

Politicians have to look respectable to win so they can steal.

A thug who has the skill to talk the good talk is serious trouble.

Determined to be the Good Party in the bad marriage when he is the perp.

Motivation to Exit a Bad Scene (Chariot + Ten of Pentacles)

He can motive this crew of low-rent misfits, that’s the kind of fellow he is.

He is charged with making these bums look respectable any way he can.

Chariot – Five of Swords – Ten of Pentacles

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Uh-oh. The Bad Guys are here and so is The Thug.  But we have the Good Guy and we have motivation, ambition to succeed.  Hmm, movin’ on up out of the slums or dysfunctional family, methinks!

Bad Guys is Ten of Pentacles, the misfit clan, the dysfunctional family, the sleazeball relatives, even the mob or gang or politicians; and Five of Swords is taking advantage, stealing, being an intimidating thug, an unethical scag.  If Ten of Pentacles is being The Mob, Five of Swords would be the muscle.

Over on the other side of the ledger, Chariot and Page of Wands are straight arrows.   Chariot is a strategist who succeeds by using both elements that are in his favor and elements that aren’t to get ahead.   Headwind or tailwind both get him there.   He is skilled, able, ambitious; he succeeds.   And Page of Wands is a natural to succeed the easy way because of his looks and his smooth talking.   He is the tennis pro, the fair-haired boy.   He has trines in his chart and a rich mama that loves him.   He mainly has the look.   (By the way, Pages can be females, too.)

Chariot Chariot is a strategist who succeeds by using both elements that are in his favor and elements that aren’t to get ahead.  Headwind or tailwind both get him there.  He is skilled, able, ambitious; he succeeds.  This is a male card, although females can do what is stands for.
Five of Swords  This is the guy who stole your stuff:  Taking advantage, stealing, being an intimidating thug, an unethical scag, is his forte.  He is the smirking smart alec.  He is the ex.  He is the guy who sues the doctor for saving his life.  He pawns your wedding ring.

Ten of Pentacles Dysfunctional, disreputable family.  Your ex and his relatives. Any corrupt company, organization or agency.  Misfits and miscreants.  The low class neighbors next door.  People we love to hate.  Corporations we love to hate.  Politicians we love to hate.  In-laws and outlaws.
Page of Wands Such a Nice Guy.  He could sell iceboxes to Eskimos.  He is the clean cut good looking well spoken fair-haired boy.  You know him: the tennis pro.  The guy who up-sold you that appliance or vehicle.  Just look at him there:  Admit it; you like him.

Advice is about the roles that both adversity and breaking off with people we are associated with play in our getting ahead and looking acceptable to other people, looking respectable. To please the people who are disposed to disagree with us, we should have ‘the look,’ the flawless look that indicates everybody else agrees with us. Advice also covers the fact that the look isn’t always enough for the long haul … that sometimes we dissociate ourselves from the successful, respectable handsome man.

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below. One or more of those sentences has something to say to you. Pick those out. They are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)

*Go to Advice to apply what those sentences say (in the best way) for you. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.) Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow.

The Question for weekdays is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them. The Question for weekends is stated right on top on those days if there is one.

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:

OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

These are pretty much independent Tarot citizens with no theme … but Chariot and Page of Wands are both solid people who are respectable and successful.

Chariot is a success and Nine of Cups has what it wants and Page of Wands has the look. They play well together.

Three of Swords stands in the corner, as well it might, since it means to dissociate, to divorce, adversity, hostility, separation and so on. What is a bad looking guy like this doing here?

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:

INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

.
Chariot has arrived, has a skill and is expert at using it for a purpose, so he is ‘going places.’ Chariot is a strategist who does what it takes to arrive at the place he wants to be. You can see how he is going to drive those steeds with nothing but his wand there. We know people like this, don’t we? Let’s be friends with them.

Three of Swords is when everything is going against, is the time of quarreling and separation, is adversity and hostility, is being in the wrong company, the wrong setting for you. The illustration is forthright: Gray clouds and rain storm behind a heart pierced with the three swords. Been there too, haven’t you?

Page of Wands
is the fellow with, as my daddy used to say, the clean nose. He is the ‘fair haired boy’ cliche. He is the well-dressed well-spoken fellow who plays tennis. He talks you into things. His daddy is successful, don’t you think?

Nine of Cups is having it all. Every time I see the illustration on it – of the pudgy fellow with the besotted look and the ten cups on the mantle – I think of the saying “I can’t believe I ate the whole thing.”

Tarot reading 1-17-2911

No obstacles to his success, he is a winner

Death

Page of Wands, Chariot, Seven of Wands

He feels he is the one who is in control so he isn’t protesting.
He isn’t going to let this end; he is going to take charge.
No one can resist a good looking guy who is successful.
No one gets in his way, the way he drives.
They do not impede his progress.
They do not block his car.
He protests that this is NOT the way he chooses to get the job done.

Just look at the illustrations on these particular Tarot cards and get down to business.  The Page of Wands is the winning personality, the Chariot is success or a vehicle, is ‘getting the job done.’  The Seven of Wands is to raise hell, protest, push through, to get in the way of or block.  The Death card negates other cards; it means no, never, not, etc.  So these go together various ways.  Now you can make up some more!

Tarot reading 1-17-2011b

Three of Wands

Queen of Swords, Two of Swords, Three of Pentacles

She has no complaints about the money coming in from this deal/business.
This will continue to be a good relationship; she is in no way disagreeable.
No way will she let a relationship continue in which she is deprived.
Isn’t going to be dealing with the bitch.
The bitter woman will not be agreeing or settling.
There is no way the old woman will be coming to the meeting.
The widow isn’t going to be in a relationship.

This is another instance of the illustrations speaking pretty much for themselves.  The Queen of Swords is an embittered or angry woman, usually older, who is not getting something she is entitled to.  She is also the bitch.  The Two of Swords is ‘no way,’ no, never, etc.- is a roadblock or a block.  The Three of Pentacles is a business deal, a settlement or agreement, a real estate closing.  The three of wands is clearly ‘your ship is coming in,’ and means income, coming, continuing; it suggests future action and the words ‘will be.’  So once again you can make up some more meanings !
