Guidance

An inner struggle that changes who I am arises from a real-world battle with something or someone(s). A shift in the way I think, therefore, is forced on me … but it was my idea all along. Did I put myself in harm’s way so I would have to change? The change has already happened, and I am already that new me as I speculate on what I faced back there on the railroad tracks.

Could This Be You?

Picture this: You look at the cards in your spread.
You immediately get an idea because you know a few of them intimately.

GUIDANCE Did you come here for Your Daily Predictions? Good! Guidance provides your predictions in a summary. It is the Guidance received for you through three Rider Waite Tarot™ cards, using Tarot Verbatim™.

GROUP TAROT READINGS Here are several one-sentence readings that are predictions for you and the people around you for today and the days around it. Here Tarot is talking to you: These sentences express word-for-word, verbatim, the meanings of those three Tarot cards. You choose which sentences apply to you, and you choose whether to encourage them or not.

SYNOPSIS Located right after the Group Tarot Cards Reading sentences, is a deeper expression of today’s Guidance. Read this too for your predictions. Here you complete your predictions experience. The rest of the page is more about learning to love and learn Tarot Verbatim™.

LEARN TAROT CARDS BY PICTURES Are you ready to begin learning Tarot Verbatim™? Here your in-depth meanings come alive for each of the three cards! In Tarot Verbatim™, pictures make the meaning, so each card is like a person you know and remember.

WITHOUT THE PICTURES For the true seeker of Tarot knowledge, here is what you need to know about how the three cards in today’s spread affect one another, and how to apply Tarot Verbatim™. Here too the cards come alive, together.

WHERE EACH PHRASE COMES FROM At a glance, with a color for each card, your subconscious picks up on how the sentences of GROUP TAROT CARDS READING came to be. You feel how individual card meanings reach out and blend, unite, into a sentence. (You can learn this – yes, you!) Your subconscious awareness sees the image and its feeling and your conscious awareness sees the language meaning, the text… so your two minds focus together to see 3D, three dimensionally, the same way your two eyes see depth that one eye does not.

PHRASES FOR ALL THREE TWO CARD COMBINATIONS Are you ready for the final step of this revolutionary Tarot Verbatim™ technique? Now to make it exceedingly plain and simple, we list the expressions each pair of cards makes. We list them in paragraph form rather than itemized so that they flow, and your subconscious clicks into place and ‘gets it.’ You may even find flashes of dreams or intuitive realities as you read these, at times.

The Rider Waite Tarot™ deck is a data bank in mass consciousness that your subconscious can communicate with. Tarot Verbatim™ is the Rosetta Stone that makes that communication easy because it is a bridge between conscious and subconscious thought. When both your levels of awareness focus together, you think intuitively in real time in ‘the real world.’

Bon voyage!

Synopsis

We are not who we would have chosen to be, because – for one thing – of unexpected challenges we faced. Learning things, and passing the how-to onto others, may not be conscious choices for some of us. Once you learn how to fight or how to not fight, for example, you tend to stay on that course. These factors that formed us are good, bad, and in between. Today we are examining this process, revisiting the scenes of the turns, and … now that we think about this … taking neither a lot of credit nor a lot of blame.

Seven of Wands

Seven of Wands

Seven of Wands defends himself in the struggle against neighbors who invade his place to take it by surprise – defends his position against them all, against all the odds.  It’s difficult but he is aggressive enough to make himself do it. Seven of Wands is up to the challenge. This card has two faces, one of which we ignore here. That’s the pushy mooch, the mouthy teenager-type. Today we are all about facing a challenge, rising to the occasion of breaking through, insisting upon, standing up for, a struggle, and being radically against or being radically for.

Judgement

Judgment

The words for Judgment come from its illustration, of course. A sudden change, one more time, a raise, a new (anything), a new life, what’s next, hearing, big news, an announcement or a call or speak or talk, an awakening, a whole new (whatever): All of these words arise from recovering from being dead when the angel’s horn awakens you.

.

Page of Pentacles

Page of Pentacles

Page of Pentacles is one of the identity cards, similar to Page of Wands. They both mean – literally ‘ ‘type of person.’ Pages are young people starting out in life as apprentices, looking for where they fit in. This fellow studies that pentacle, which makes him a student, makes him about self-image and self-examination – identity. He thinks – his main application; he feels; he is (whatever the other cards say). He is all about conscious thought. So much so that Page of Pentacles translates ‘idea’ and ‘opinion.’

Page of Pentacles often just translates pronouns, especially ‘he’ or ‘him,’ ‘I’ or ‘me’ and pronouns ending in ‘self.’

Now Without The Pictures

Seven of Wands and Judgment each have several flexible applications and several meanings, so together they perform a symphony. Aiding their music is Page of Pentacles standing by in the background softly with its few notes that tend to harmonize with any theme equally well. These three cards get along with one another very well; they don’t get in one another’s way.

At a glance, you see in this spread: Breaking through your blocks, both personal (Page of Pentacles) and circumstantial (Seven of Wands).

Judgment is breakthrough or breaking through

Seven of Wands is the block

Page of Pentacles is the personal.

*Judgment and Page of Pentacles both realize, both are aware:

*Judgment is newly aware and Page of Pentacles knows it already.

*Page of Pentacles is the conscious thought; Judgment is a shift or change in that thought.

*Page of Pentacles is a person; Judgment is a changed person, or at least the change in the person.

Page of Pentacles is one of those cards that means: think, ponder, consider, perspective, opinion, view, etc.

As an identity card, Page of Pentacles is ‘type of person’ without saying in itself what type: Page of Pentacles is ready to be painted by nearby neighbor cards – but, without such input, Page of Pentacles, like brother Page of Wands, is well-intentioned, is a good person or good guy. Both Pages are apprentices, because that is what a Page was in feudal society, but Page of Pentacles in particular is a student, probably because he is studying that pentacle.

Page of Pentacles can combine its meaning of ‘type of person’ with its meaning of ‘to think or consider,’ and come up with considering himself to be some particular type of person, or seeing another person as a particular type. Page of Pentacles even means ‘self’ as in myself, himself or herself, and it means ‘personal.’ This is one of the cards that can mean different pronouns, including ‘I’.

People awakening from death naturally gives Judgment meanings like new consciousness, new level of awareness, new life, new phase. The recovery from death lends Judgment any kind of recovery, rejuvenation, restoration, re-do, revival … almost any word beginning in the ‘re- meaning.

Recovering from death is a second time around, and Judgment does mean ‘next’ and ‘again’ (and such words). So, curiously, Judgment is a new start, and is also the second time around, the next time.

Note that there are a number of Rider Waite Tarot cards that mean ‘again.’

Seven of Wands plays quite a few notes, quite a few roles, in our one-sentence readings.

Tarot Readings for You for February 12, 2013 Tuesday(c)

Guidance     Look for an unexpected limitation that you rise to the occasion to escape. Maybe you just quit saying ‘I can’t’ and put your dukes up.  On a deeper level, today is about fighting your way out of the box to a new consciousness, about your psyche breaking out of a jail to an entirely new phase and never ever looking back.  Today we contrast feeling helpless and being stymied with busting loose and making some noise.

Instructions:

Are YOU here for the first time?  Come in!  People love this place!  Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Both Judgment and Eight of Cups are changing, the end of one phase and beginning of another, and both also mean sudden or suddenly.  In both cases, the change is not a voluntary one and is unexpected.  (Seven of Wands has the ‘unexpected’ aspect as well.)

Judgment is having a new phase, revival or recovery … or something may be happening again, or going back to the way it was (revert).  Many of its interpretations have ‘re-‘ prefixes.  It also means news, an announcement, speak up, or even say, among a few other things.

Eight of Cups is a detour, like having to go around an obstacle.  It means to quit, drop out, walk away, or any sudden end of one thing that puts the story into the beginning of another thing – you know, like getting fired and getting another job, or leaving your home for a new start.  You see the full moon with the crescent moon embracing it: two phases.

The other two cards are being stuck and fighting your way out; or they can also, together, mean ‘can’t fight it.’

I digress here:  Persistently, over the months and years here on this blog, we find that cards that say one thing also say something contradictory.  I am convinced, after mulling this over for a long time, that this is because the same set of circumstances can be handled in opposite ways – and since we have no context to fit the information in (no question, no specific person questioning) – then we get both stories.  And, of course, the same set of circumstances can arise from opposite causes as well:  It doesn’t have to be what is happening; it can refer to the past as well – the past of the story.

Anyway, back to Eight of Swords and Seven of Wands:  Eight of Swords is a female figure blindfolded, loosely bound with hands behind her, in a swamp, surrounded by swords.  Limitations.  This is about not being able to do anything, about ‘can’t.’  It can mean being helpless, ‘my hands are tied,’ being stymied, being disabled or paralysis of any sort, and it can mean ‘contained’ or ‘in a container’ or locked up. Of course it means ‘tied’ in various ways.   With support, it is the actual death card.

Seven of Wands is either defending his turf, or being a mouthy nuisance: both scenarios are common.  Often, this is about a struggle in which the odds are against you (He is outnumbered as his neighbors attack.) but you are going to win:  Stand your ground.  It’s in your face, it’s overwhelming … and, yes, it’s unexpected … sharing that meaning with Judgment and Eight of Cups, which makes three out of four of our Rider Waite Tarot citizens mean that.

Look for an unexpected limitation that you rise to the occasion to escape.

Eight of Swords   is a female figure blindfolded, loosely bound with hands behind her, in a swamp, surrounded by swords.

Judgment    The angel blows his horn on Judgment Day, and suddenly all the long dead are living again.  So we have an unexpected change that happens to us, the end of one phase and beginning of a new one.  Judgment is having a revival or a recovery, or is reverting to a former state.  It frequently means to return or ‘comes back.’ Notice how many of its meanings have ‘re-‘ prefixes.  Something is happening again, or is going back to the way it was.  Sometimes it refers to news, an announcement, speaking up, say, playing a musical instrument, or a (loud) noise, a honk.   It can mean an angel literally, or the appearance of an angel in a vision quest or séance.

 8 of cups

Eight of Cups   is a detour, like having to go around an obstacle.  It means to quit, drop out, walk away, or any sudden end of one thing that puts the story into the beginning of another thing – you know, like getting fired and getting another job, or leaving your home for a new start.  You see the full moon with the crescent moon embracing it:  two phases.  Look for it to refer to a temporary change – to something that is interrupted but will be resumed.

EXPLANATIONS:

Each and every ‘Tarot Reading’ sentence you see is a literal interpretation of the four Rider Waite Tarot cards drawn and pictured for today. (The literal interpretation is from the illustration on each card.) These sentences are put together by only combining the phrases of what each cards says. In other words, there are NO “filler” phrases added just to make full sentences, and no psychic ability or spirit guide is ever involved.

*Without a question* in a group reading to focus the answer, the four Tarot cards can mean quite contradictory things, especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no,’ ‘never’ or ‘not.’ These negative modifiers can apply to any one of the other cards.
*Without a question* in a group reading, the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) are more flexible. Whenever you see a pronoun in parentheses, please *feel very free* to substitute another pronoun than the one used. I try to drop pronouns when possible, which, if you’ve noticed, can make for awkward phrasing.

Now in an ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question and thereby supplies at least half the information! In an individual situation, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too. Here, in a group reading we cannot do that and so we get a variety of sentences.

Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you! (Astrologers know this!)

Tarot, on the other hand, is perfectly capable of flexibly addressing any group, including all of the visitors that come to this site. It can also address people you might not even know personally, such as all the people at your job who have a say in whether or not you get a raise.

We have been wondering here lately whether the Tarot Verbatim(TM) sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than they are for people who visit this site only once in awhile or for a short time. Would you help us with a comment please, if you have not been a regular visitor? Just let us know if the sentences are relevant to you. So far, people say they do apply.

Return to this site often and you can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim(TM) works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Rider Waite Tarot cards with very little effort.

Advice is about those times when something is forced upon us that we are not ready for, that turns out for the best – a miracle we are unprepared for and incredulous about. The miracle can be spiritual revival or revelation within us that we are not ready to talk about. The same cards also speak of a grand opportunity in the form of a windfall and a new life. Both of these themes also involve secrecy or not talking.

===================================================================================

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below. At least one of those sentences has something to say to you. Pick those out. They are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)

*Go to Advice to apply what those sentences say (in the best way) for you. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.) Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow.

The Question for weekdays is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them. The Question for weekends is stated right on top on those days. (Some days are ‘keep an eye open for’ and some days are ‘green light, go fast.’)

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

You hear news of a small investment that pays fantastic returns, and are forced to keep it to yourself.

Spiritual Perspective

So hard to keep yourself from telling all about the miracle.

Making the effort for a wonderful new spiritual life that you don’t talk about.

There are no words for what is happening deep down inside you, no way to tell others, so you don’t.

It doesn’t take much effort now to trigger a newsworthy shift in perception.

No way to keep this wonderful new spiritual life a secret.

He is forced to change; it happens in spite of himself.

Forced to realize what is happening in spite of trying hard not to.

A new life is forced upon someone who doesn’t want any part of it.

Not ready for this deep-down realization of a miracle.

There is not enough force in the world to keep the new way of life from happening.

Keeping the miracle of the angel’s appearance a deep dark secret. People aren’t ready to hear this.

Keeping the Secret

It’s a struggle to keep a lid on the news about what is happening.

Tries hard to keep the secret about what is going to happen.

The classified news broke out and cannot be contained.

Miscellaneous

The pressure is contained but it breaks out, which is for the best.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

The closest we come to similar meanings here is tangential meanings such as that both Wheel of Fortune and Judgment involve a usually sudden change, usually something wonderful.

Wheel of Fortune is a miracle, and you can take the angel appearing in Judgment literally.

Seven of Wands is not ready for something, and Four of Pentacles is to not admit, neither of which are major meanings for either card.

This time we have the same theme for spirituality and money. Interesting.

Wheel of Fortune, a miracle; Seven of Wands, not ready for it; Judgment, telling all about it; Four of Pentacles, not telling, it’s a secret. These are the elements of the story.

Financially, Four of Pentacles is being on a budget, being short of money; Wheel of Fortune is a big opportunity or windfall; Judgment is a whole new life; Seven of Wands is a struggle.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Wheel of Fortune is a happening, a miracle, optimum or ‘for the best.’ Those are the meanings we are using now. The card has all sorts of critters in occult style, and what resembles roulette wheel with some more symbols. They are what make the ‘destiny’ meaning, which we are not using right now.

Seven of Wands is pushing, being forced, not ready for that. Other meanings like insisting and defensiveness are not being used today. The scene shows a fellow defending himself against neighbors who have come to take his property and push him off of it. He is defending what is his against the odds.

Judgment shows the angel of the resurrection, and people standing up in their unlided coffins. The horn lends ‘tell’ and ‘announce’ to this Tarot citizen’s meanings. A new life or phase, a change. To return to a former state. A sudden realization. And of course you can take that angel literally sometimes.

Four of Pentacles shows a miser holding his money close to his chest (and the rest of his body). It means innermost feelings, keeping something – say, a secret – to yourself. It means ‘to contain.’ It means to not express. It also means ‘deep down’ and one’s internal or spiritual life. Things like that.
