Tarot Readings for You for August 16, 2017 Wednesday©

Wednesdays will be the day for Email readings, since Wednesday covers only one day (that’s in theory of course). This email reading is split between two relationships Client is interested in. She wants clarification re their perspective on her. We discover two opposite views the two men have: One is confident and the other very much not so.

.

You can have a reading just like this – just check out the Email Readings tab, above. You can also get the combined meanings of any two Tarot cards by typing them into Google, or any one card – but put ‘Tarot Verbatim’ after the single-card search if you want to limit it to just the archives of our site here.

.

UPDATE ON THE LESSONS: Techs have waved the white flag. They need until September to start the lessons, and that’s September 1, the first Friday. I have all my fingers crossed.

Email Reading

The category of life is:: Love

My question is:: I have 2 men in my life right now and I’m confused about who I should choose. I suppose it would help me decide between the two if I knew how they feel about me.

I agree. But this question is off-kilter. I’m sure you don’t want to know how they jointly feel about you. And you haven’t pegged them. So I shall ask Man #1’s view of you, then Man #2’s view of you, and let you take it from there. I used two different decks for this so cards would not be missing from the second question.

Man #1’s view of you, how he feels about you

.

Four of Wands – Lovers – Knight of Wands

He is on his way to being your love partner in a committed union/marriage.

He is on his way (pursuing) – Knight of Wands

to being your love partner – Lovers

in a committed union or a marriage. – Four of Wands

.

.

Justice – Six of Pentacles – Temperance

You and he are in an intimate mutual union, are committed, and are treating one another the right way.

You and me are in an intimate mutual union, we talk, – Temperance

are committed, – Justice

and are treating one another like that – treating one another right.” – Six of Pentacles

.

.

Knight of Pentacles – Two of Wands – Sun

He knows one thing for sure: A happy future, being free, and that’s a plan.

He knows one thing for sure: – Knight of Pentacles

A happy – Sun

future – Two of Wands

being free – Sun

and that’s a plan. – Two of Wands

*If this fellow is married, ‘taken’ in some way, or lives in another town, Sentence 1 (Four of Wands = home; Knight of Wands = leaving) and Sentence 3 (Two of Wands = for sure; Sun = getting away from the restrictions, being relieved and happy, it’s fun) picture him leaving and having a future with you.

.

.

.

Man #2’s view of you, how he feels about you

.

Nine of Wands – Three of Swords – Judgment

He is afraid of another split-up or divorce.

He is afraid – Nine of Wands

of another – Judgment

split-up or divorce. – Three of Swords

.

.

Queen of Cups – Seven of Pentacles – Chariot

Does she think I am in control and responsible here?”

He is in doubt: Does – Seven of Pentacles

she think – Queen of Cups

I am in control and responsible, a manly leader, here? – Chariot

.

.

Seven of Wands – Nine of Cups – King of Swords

How he struggles to be the man he wants to be – the decisive manly leader.

More than anything, he wants to be – Nine of Cups

a decisive manly man – King of Swords

and that’s a challenge; the odds are against it.

Tarot Readings for You for September 29, 2014 Monday©

GUIDANCE     It’s one thing to be motivated, and move heaven and earth to get what you really want, and quite another to feel entitled to it because you want it and be therefore demanding.  Sometimes this distinction is not honored and/or not recognized.  Sometimes frantically wanting something makes you feel justified, but you’re being an ignoramus.  You can’t force demand for what you are selling; you have to advertise when it’s not selling: There’s that distinction again! Sometimes what we really really want is the absence of something … like ‘I really want you to shut up’ or ‘I want to clear my mind but that’s difficult.’  We mention having too much desire – greed – and also not having any desire for a particular thing, which is, hey, excusable, yes?

.

Tarot Readings: All I Want Is (Fool and Nine of Cups)

What a challenge clearing your mind is, but I really want to do it.

I would rather just be free than to be rich with someone who is contentious.

I don’t know what I want, but I want it bad enough to fight for it.

Freedom from coercion is all I ever wanted.

I just know I am going to get what I want no matter what is in the way.

Let me outta here – that’s all the heck I want.

I want to be free from pressure.

I want to not be there when you raise hell.

Nobody wants to be pushed around.

……….…………

Tarot Readings: No Desire (Fool and Nine of Cups)

I just don’t let myself be greedy or selfish.

I have no desire to defend my positions.

It’s so hard to get free of desires.

I don’t want anything so bad I would be rude for it.

You insist, but I don’t want to.

I don’t want it any more, after all that uphill battle.

Under pressure, I didn’t want it anymore.

I like it like that, so I’ve got no protest.

……….…………

Tarot Readings: No Demand for the Product (Fool and Nine of Cups)

Satisfying demand is the easy part.

Advertise, where there’s no demand.

Nobody wants what you’re selling.

No matter how hard I try, they aren’t satisfied.

……….…………

Tarot Readings: He Just Wants to Raise Hell (Fool and Seven of Wands)

Nothing pleases him, he raises as fuss.

I don’t know why he wants to fight.

He really wants to be confrontational; I have no idea why.

Ignoring demanding greedy people.

The squeaky wheel isn’t getting the oil.

Let’s avoid getting him on the defensive.

You can holler all you want; I’m not paying attention.

I guess he wants to push me out of here.

He gets in your face, he wants you to pay attention to him so bad.

No idea how rude and obnoxious we are when we want something.

Pay no attention to instant-gratification tantrums.

When he hollers, we just let him have what he wants.

As soon as you don’t want him, he beats your door down.

He assumes he can make you want him.

We are not interested in you on the soapbox – in your rant.

Another kid who’s entitled to be rich is venting.

We want you to quitcherbitchin’.

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined three pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these three cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONS is a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the three cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

………..………..………..………..

Fool – Seven of Wands – Nine of Cups

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

……………….……………………   What a spectrum on *wanting something* we have here! Nine of Cups is wanting something and/or getting what you want. Seven of Wands is a big push or effort, or being confrontational, or not wanting something strongly enough to have a ‘get that out of my face’ attitude toward it. (Seven of Wands is like that.) And Fool? Well, Fool isn’t interested and means ‘nothing,’ to make ‘wants nothing’ or ‘doesn’t want any part of that.’

………………………..    Fool is being free, and is the lack of something. It often translates ‘nothing’ and ‘not interested.’ One thing to watch for is if you put ‘just’ (in its sense of being negligible) before a word, Fool can often mean that phrase.

………..…………..     Fool and Nine of Cups   Set here with the ‘wanting’ of Nine of Cups, its ‘don’t want’ spectrum is emphasized. Fool and Nine of Cups is wanting no part of this, and also says ‘I have no desire’ or ‘there’s no demand for that.’ It also is an attitude of ‘Who cares what you want?’

………………………..       Seven of Wands  There he is again, that pushy guy, the one who insists, the high-pressure salesman on his rant or on his soapbox for or against some damn thing. Seven of Wands also means the ‘mad as hell and won’t take it anymore’ spectrum, but not today. But Seven of Wands is also being motivated to do or get something against all odds and no matter what. You can think of the mood that applies to all his meanings and get where Seven of Wands’ energy is coming from. It is worth the effort, see?

…………..…………..   Nine of Cups  likes it just the way it is; is content; has had enough; is satisfied; is pleased and/or wants to please. Nine of Cups is also appetite, even greed – wanting something (and getting it, generally). It can be gratitude, and can be that ‘I’ve got mine’ attitude you see among the self-righteous and the overly newly rich.

……….…………..      Fool and Seven of Wands  Fool and Seven of Wands Here’s ignoring the person who’s insisting, ranting, selling something – being some kind of nuisance. It’s also being ignored when you are demanding, of course, because action in these illustrations goes any of the ways it depicts. You can also see, in this double meaning, that people are oblivious to how rude or obnoxious they are when they want something. It says ‘It’s so hard to get free’ too. I like that. Incidentally, both these cards involve youth: Fool actually means ‘young’ and Seven of Wands can be a demanding brat, especially a teenager.

……..……………   Seven of Wands and Nine of Cups   Seven of Wands and Nine of Cups ‘I want it and I want it now: Gimme!’ says Seven of Wands and Nine of Cups. This is the squeaky wheel wanting the oil. This would describe a lot of demand for the product, too. And it refers to satisfying the demand as well. It even says ‘make you want it’ or ‘make you want him.’ Both of these cards are about wanting: Seven of Wands demands what it wants, and Nine of Cups is mighty glad he’s got it.

.

.

An in-depth perusal of the subject of ‘wanting,’ this is. We describe the pressure a person exerts when he or she feels entitled to, and demands. It also describes not wanting to be pressured in that way. Wanting too much and not wanting at all are both covered by the same Tarot spread here. We even go into being satisfied with things as they are, being greedy, just wanting out, ‘wanting to not be there when you are confrontational,’ and wanting more than anything to clear my mind.

Fool..….       has an encyclopedia of meanings. Most of them grow directly or indirectly from its value as the zero, the placeholder that has no value of its own. Fool means ‘nothing’ and ‘not present’ and ‘nobody’ and ‘free of,’ for instance. It means ‘I don’t know’ often, but Fool is newborn consciousness, is the sub- or super- conscious, and is oblivious. Fool is the naïveté of youth and the faith of a saint. The underlying idea is that when a person is attuned to his spiritual life, the physical realities pale. In the real world, this Tarot card means: to assume, to be lighthearted and optimistic, to not care, to start afresh, to not notice or ignore, and ‘it doesn’t matter.

.

Seven of Wands …… You could say Seven of Wands is ‘my rights are being violated’ as far as the mood of it goes. This is both someone who is defending what is his from being taken, and also someone who is pushing people around to get something he wants. That’s just both sides of the illustration, you see? Seven of Wands can be a mouthy mooch or a person coming to the defense of a worthy cause.

.

Nine of Cups ……….     is one of the simple cards. We call it ‘your wish is granted’ because it usually means ‘get what you want.’ It often just means ‘want’ or ‘desire’ or ‘to please.’ ‘Satisfaction’ is a very frequent word for Nine of Cups. It can mean both being content and being greedy. It can be ‘I ate the whole thing.’ It can mean excess. As you can see, all of these involve wanting something.

Tarot Readings for You for June 2, 2014 Monday(c)

Guidance      We balance the dream with the effort it takes to get there and ask ourselves ‘Is it worth the effort?’ On the way, we ponder whether we are enjoying the fight too much. Then we go into other ways a fight is associated with being happy: Why is it you get satisfaction only when you raise a big fuss? And why are some people happy only when they are disrupting others? Then we ask ourselves why we are actually enjoying an aggravation, or even ‘Is this life worth that effort? We balance what we want with what it takes to get us there.

Seven of Wands………. This one Rider Waite Tarot card covers the whole spectrum of resisting. Its illustration is a landowner standing up to invading neighbors. It can be defending yourself against an intruding person or situation, or it can be you making a huge effort to get through, or to, something. It is a struggle or fight of almost any kind. It is making a big effort.

Seven of Pentacles………. Well, duh, Seven of Pentacles is trying to figure something out. There’s a question, there’s a doubt, there’s an unknown to factor in. Is my labor worth the effort? – will the plant I am tending produce?

Nine of Cups………. Nine of Cups is about the dream, the want. It is achieving or having it, it is the wanting, and it is being content with what you have. It reflects the feeling of joy or satisfaction in possessing anything. It can be excess or surfeit, and it can be greed. It can be the ‘I got mine’ kind of gloating satisfaction too.

Guidance     Two people who are a couple: the hell-raising uninhibited and funloving guy and the quiet girl who enjoy a happy life. She stays home with the child, he struggles for their good life. He can also be the mouthy dude she is relieved to be alone from, the pushy fella. And she can be the one who pushed and struggled and fought for her dream-come-true. Another scenario today is the struggle about who gets the house.

Sun – High Priestess – Seven of Wands

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Sun is leaving the place; High Priestess is staying put. Sun is a baby or child that she is staying home with.

High Priestess is passive; Seven of Wands is aggressive.

Nine of Cups and Sun both involve happiness.

Nine of Cups says one party (at least) is totally pleased and satisfied: She has exactly what she wants. The lady High Priestess is not acting, Sun is having fun, is free, and is a child or baby;

Seven of Wands is pushing and struggling.

These are the elements out of which we spin our story for the day.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Sun is a kid having fun recklessly, uninhibitedly, is free and charming. Illustration in Rider Waite show a child on a smirking pony at high noon out in the back yard naked with a huge banner flag in one hand.

High Priestess is knowing, is passive, stays put, is a lady. Her illustration in Rider Waite Tarot shows all the trappings of Kabbalah, the book of knowledge, in her lap, and her serene alert expression. She sits upright.

Seven of Wands struggles, pushes, protests, raises hell. Those are its meanings we use today anyway. He is pictured defending himself against several neighbors who are invading his land.

Nine of Cups is the ‘Your wish is granted’ Tarot citizen. This is the dream come true, this is what you want. Illustration shows a heavyset fella looking mighty satisfied, he seems to have drunk all those huge cups on his mantle, to have stuffed himself, and has that feeling we get on Thanksgiving in the U. S.

EXPLANATIONS: [Use the arrow at lower right to skip this and go to Comments.]

All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim(TM).

In these group readings, there’s no question (and no Questioner) to limit what the four cards can mean, so they can mean opposite things.

When there is a negative-meaning card (a ‘negator,’ I call them), the readings contradict one another because that card can make any of the other cards in the spread negative. Negator cards mean things like: no, never, not, end, can’t, etc. Never be queasy about the number of ‘bad’ card because it takes two bad cards to say ‘not dead’ and only one to say ‘dead.’

Without a question or a Questioner, pronouns (I, you, he, she, we, they, etc.) are very flexible. I leave out pronouns in writing this as much as possible – awkward to do that sometimes. When I put them in parentheses, feel very free to change them around to suit yourself.

Now in a ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question which provides at least half the information! In an individual’s reading, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too. Here, in a group reading, we cannot do that and so we get more variety of sentences.

Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you! (Astrologers want you to know this!)

Tarot successfully addresses the group of visitors, whoever they are. It provides useful information that applies to their daily lives: They tell you this in the comments, for three years now. Tarot can tell you things about people you don’t know personally – such as whoever on your job has a say in your raise or continued employment there, whether that is one person or many. Visitors report that the information is equally accurate for new visitors as it is for the family of regular visitors.

Do you want to read Rider Waite Tarot, yourself? Start with Learn Tarot by Pictures to get the day’s cards’ individual meanings; then read Learn Tarot by Observation, which gives you the thinking those four cards inspire in a qualified reader. Next, Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading is the various things those four cards can say (without a question to guide them). Then, Guidance is a summary.

In this way, your intuition allows you to learn to read the cards without much effort if you come often enough. Regular visitors can just put it together.

Our Daily Spread for December 10, 2011 Saturday ©

Advice is about fighting for what you want and defending yourself from others who want you or want what you have.  What one person sees as getting ahead is an invasion of another’s fiefdom.  In the same vein,  lovers want someone who is desirable precisely because he or she is unavailable.  Pestering a person who has the mindset of preferring what is unavailable is counterproductive.  In a similar vein,  we want a spiritual life but prefer that God not interfere with our preferences too much while He is looking out for us and making us the good life.   (At the time of production, there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation. I am writing around it now!) Is this the first time you come here?  Well … what to do:

*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages.  (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Reading below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out.  They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It  is a group message like a horoscope,  except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is  “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Lovers Nine of Cups –  Seven of Wands –  Two of Pentacles   GROUP ANALYTICAL TAROT READING Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them. Business Perspective Higher ups keep the pressure on about the things they want. Time after time (he) is getting his way at the insistence of the higher ups. Time after time (he) is getting his way fighting with the higher ups. When the contact is sporadic,  applying pressure makes it satisfactory. Person is under recurring pressure by people who want to contact him/her. Overwhelmed by the pressure of one moneymaking contact after another. Maybe our making a big push will pay off big for us. Romantic Perspective Pressure him/her over and over again (Seven of Wands + Two of Pentacles) Person is in rut,  charged up,  wants to have one love partner after another. Person is under recurring pressure by people who want to contact him/her. People hit on (him/her) all the time wanting to be his/her lover. The pressure is on to satisfy the partner each and every time. Insists over and over again that he/she really wants to be your life partner. Pestering him once in a while gets you the lovin’  you want. When the connection is sporadic,  confronting him/her makes it satisfactory. Other Romantic Perspectives Sometimes I want a lover and sometimes anything but. No interest in partnering up,  but wants to continue on with you. I have to go  ’round and  ’round with partner about what he/she wants. Forcing myself to be satisfied with sporadic contact. Romance As a Fight (Seven of Wands + Lovers) Fighting the relationship: Keeps fighting the love relationship he/she really wants more than anything. The two of you want to keep fighting with one another. If he has to fight to be her lover,  he will forever want that. Fighting to Make the Relationship: Want to keep loving you and will try my damnedest. We both make a continual effort against all odds to please one another. Keep up the struggle to be the partner you want to be. It’s you and me,  baby,  against the world,  let’s keep it being optimum. No matter what the obstacles,  we want to keep being together. Tries so hard to be his/her lover instead of going with the flow and enjoying it. Other Fighting re Relationship: Hold out for it,  and you will have the kind of love relationship you really want. It’s one damn thing after another in your way when what you want is a real partner in love. Keeping him away from the woman he wants as a lover: mine. Spiritual Perspective Not ready for contact with that higher power but I keep wanting it too. Keeps trying so hard to please God. Under dizzying pressure to give Upstairs what they want. Protection from Intrusions (Seven of Wands + Lovers) Very satisfied,  (it) has protected (us) from one attempted break-in after the other. Under constant siege,  glad for angelic or divine protection. We have a satisfactory mutual defense going on.   Now,  Part Two, Do you want to know a little,  or a lot,  about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works?  If so,

*Go to Meanings and Illustrations:  Observation of the Spread section below.  This tells about the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together to mean things.

*Go to Meanings and Illustrations:  Individual Rider Waite Tarot Cards.  It is what each of the four cards,  by itself,  has to say.  It describes how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works.

Lovers Nine of Cups –  Seven of Wands –  Two of Pentacles   MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD Well, darn.  Nine of Cups and Two of Pentacles appeared yesterday.  Interesting, there are 78 of those cards.   The closest we come to a theme is that both Seven of Wands and Two of Pentacles involve some persistence.   We have lots of cards who link up with common phrases,  though,  so we have lots of sentences.  Nine of Cups is getting what you want,  being glad or satisfied,  content , having it all and Two of Pentacles is continuing action,  one thing after another in a cycle or phase or continuum.  So having one thing after another that you want,  continually having your way.   Seven of Wands is intrusion,  invasion,  beating someone’s door down or hitting on them,  confrontation,  struggle,  fight.  Lovers is connect,  contact,  protection,  higher ups,  angelic or divine protection,  connection to God,  partners and of course lovers.  So the two can mean hitting up someone to be your lover,  defending yourself from someone’s hitting on you.   The meanings of these four are so distinct that this spread is easier than most to identify which phrases were produced by which cards.   MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS Nine of Cups Having it all even to excess.  Safunsified.  Pleased or pleasing another.  What you really want.  This is one of the simple cards with few meanings,  and its illustration is immediately clear as to its meaning:  The plump dude with the satiated grin and on the mantel behind him are ten empty cups.  Burp.   Seven of Wands struggles against others for what he perceives as his,  defends himself against intrusion or invasion,  pressures or is pressured.  Clearing your turf against all comers,  whatever the odds is suggested in the illustration of a landowner facing down six armed invaders of his turf on very short notice.  (He isn’t dressed.)   Two of Pentacles goes on forever over and over again the same silly routine.  Up and down,  back and forth,   ’round and  ’round,  tossed this way and that on those waves.  The juggler has a symbol of continual repetition (from mathematics) connecting his plates,  and he is dressed in a getup with a dunce cap.   Lovers has several applications.  Connection.  Contact.  Partners.  Protection.  Overseeing.  Divine or angelic influence or protection.  Love partnership or relationship,  life partners,  lovers.  Illustration shows an angel,  the fun sun behind him,  overseeing and protecting Adam and Eve.  Adam has the tree of life and Eve gets the tree with the snake.  A volcano for passion is behind them.   All the material on this blog is copyrighted.  No use or copying of any part of this material is permitted without written permission of Emily,  its author.  ©

Advice announces you will win if you stand up to the dark side inside or outside yourself.  The big announcement is:  Whatever the biggest problem is,  is where your luck is:  Push hard there and the cosmic vending machine will send what you select down the chute.  The same messages produce the idea of enjoying the challenge,  the fight,  with the dark side,  with bullies of all stripes.  “Aren’t you pleased that you are standing up to the downside?”  is my favorite.  Enjoy resisting cravings and addictions.   Cowardly lion no more. Today is adventure,  troops!

Devil

Nine of Cups  –  Seven of Pentacles  –  Seven of Wands

(All the cards show males,  but these messages apply to both genders.  I just went with  ‘he’  and  ‘him.’)

DAILY MESSAGE TAROT ANALYSIS  Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Problem-Resolved-Wonderfully Perspective (Nine of Cups + Devil)

Regarding whatever problem you are struggling with:  It goes your way,  all your way!

Wherever things are hardest for you,  push there for the best satisfying experience ever!

You thought you were facing a big problem but you got exactly what you wanted.

Well,  the showdown was a stressful experience,  wasn’t it?  –  but you got your way.

Can you fight for what you want and get it,  or is that a problem for you?

I believe you can fight that craving and have the life you want.

All you have to do is resist your evil side to be what you want to be,  you know?

I guess I fought my devil and won,  because I am satisfied with myself.

Struggle,  Combat,  Fight Perspective (Seven of Wands)

Do you really want this nasty fight?  –  you will win.

What is this joy of battle I am feeling?  –  It’s addicting.

Oh?  It wants to fight?  I’m feeling nasty!

Why am I feeling so mean?  –  because I want to defend myself?

Did I really get that wicked when I would not let him come in:  Yeah …!

Why do I consider getting directly in the face of the enemy with such satisfaction?

I think the worst that can happen would be:  I get him to scream and holler.

If you get in the bad guys’  face combatively,  you will get what you want.

He seems to be struggling against what he really wants like it’s the enemy.

Aren’t you pleased that you are standing up to the downside?

If it is evil we are fighting against,  bring it on!

Want to do harm in this battle now,  I guess.

I thought I was defending myself,  but now I want to get really vicious.

I will get what I want if I go face to face with the enemy.  Pondering this.

Well,  I thought I was defending myself … then I wanted to kill.

I guess if it’s a battle to the death,  I want it.

Is he demanding his space like you’re his enemy?  –  let him have it,  grant his wish.

I think the worst part of the abuse I face is:  enjoying the challenge.

Questions to Ponder Perspective (Seven of Pentacles)

Why does he get such satisfaction out of being aggressively rude and obnoxious?

He is such a pushy mouthy low-rent dude:  Why do I want him?

Why does he enjoy harassing people when he is drunk/high?

I guess he wants it all and will do any deviate and evil thing to get it.

I guess we gotta do something about those greedy evildoers.

Sooo,  does he enjoy being an obnoxious deviate?

Is the worst part when I enjoyed his hissyfit?

So,  am I ugly?  –  that is the last thing I want or will let happen.

I wished a bad thing on him,  I guess he is confronted with it now.

Devil

Nine of Cups  –  Seven of Pentacles  –  Seven of Wands

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

Wow!  This is different.  This was fun to type up,  quick too.  Starting with  “Your wish is granted,”  (Every deck I know of has this meaning for Nine of Cups.),  we go to Seven of Pentacles which is wondering and figuring things out,  pondering.

Then come two cards that  –  especially when combined  –  mean a knock-down,  drag-out battle involving defense and something extreme.  Now we got a story going!  –  some kind of nasty battle,  because Devil is  ‘most anything nasty,  ugly,  evil … you know,  a devil of a time?

I see this as an awakening to the joy of combat of a soul who valued peace to the point of cowardice.  Girls are like that a lot of the time,  those of us who aren’t overtly bloodthirsty?

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Nine of Cups,  as I said,  means  “Your wish is granted”  in just about any self-respecting Tarot deck.  The illustration evokes that Thanksgiving  ‘I et the whole thing’  feeling.  It shows a chubby fella with a big grin,  nine empty cups he drained.  Bet you can guess,  from the grin,  what was in them?  So Nine of Cups also means greed,  excess,  consumerism,  satiety,  gluttony,  pigging out … but not today.

Seven of Pentacles Hmmm.  That’s what it means,  you know,  ‘Hmmm.’  He is pondering and wondering whether his cucumbers will produce a crop,  whether both genders of plant are present.

Seven of Wands Mad as hell,  he is,  and in someone’s face demanding his space.  The mouthy pushy adolescent of any age and gender,  obstreperous and obnoxious,  intrusive and loud.  But this Rider Waite Tarot card also embraces defending yourself,  defending your position,  defending a cause,  defending your space or turf.  So the  ‘mad as hell and won’t take it anymore’  can be justified or not.  Illustration shows just that:  someone defending his place from a number of intruders who think it’s theirs.

Devil stands for the concept that being attached to dark-side anything (things,  people,  substances,  concepts,  attitudes,  feelings) is voluntary;  your chains are loose.  Devil also refers to fear,  the enemy,  the problem,  nasty,  ugly,  rage,  killing,  hate,  perversions,  lust and the word  ‘hideous.’  but it doesn’t have to be a ‘bad card’;  it also can be about physical and about an attachment of one thing to another,  like papers clipped together.
