GROUP TAROT READINGS Here are several one-sentence readings that are predictions for you and the people around you for today and the days around it. Here Tarot is talking to you: These sentences express word-for-word, verbatim, the meanings of those three Tarot cards. You choose which sentences apply to you, and you choose whether to encourage them or not.

SYNOPSIS Located right after the Group Tarot Cards Reading sentences, is a deeper expression of today’s Guidance. Read this too for your predictions. Here you complete your predictions experience. The rest of the page is more about learning to love and learn Tarot Verbatim™.

LEARN TAROT CARDS BY PICTURES Are you ready to begin learning Tarot Verbatim™? Here your in-depth meanings come alive for each of the three cards! In Tarot Verbatim™, pictures make the meaning, so each card is like a person you know and remember.

WITHOUT THE PICTURES For the true seeker of Tarot knowledge, here is what you need to know about how the three cards in today’s spread affect one another, and how to apply Tarot Verbatim™. Here too the cards come alive, together.

WHERE EACH PHRASE COMES FROM At a glance, with a color for each card, your subconscious picks up on how the sentences of GROUP TAROT CARDS READING came to be. You feel how individual card meanings reach out and blend, unite, into a sentence. (You can learn this – yes, you!) Your subconscious awareness sees the image and its feeling and your conscious awareness sees the language meaning, the text… so your two minds focus together to see 3D, three dimensionally, the same way your two eyes see depth that one eye does not.

PHRASES FOR ALL THREE TWO CARD COMBINATIONS Are you ready for the final step of this revolutionary Tarot Verbatim™ technique? Now to make it exceedingly plain and simple, we list the expressions each pair of cards makes. We list them in paragraph form rather than itemized so that they flow, and your subconscious clicks into place and ‘gets it.’ You may even find flashes of dreams or intuitive realities as you read these, at times.

The Rider Waite Tarot™ deck is a data bank in mass consciousness that your subconscious can communicate with. Tarot Verbatim™ is the Rosetta Stone that makes that communication easy because it is a bridge between conscious and subconscious thought. When both your levels of awareness focus together, you think intuitively in real time in ‘the real world.’

Bon voyage!

Synopsis

You get yourself where you want to be by giving people a fair deal. (Not the whole story, of course, but it’s still true.) I do the right thing because that is what I want to do, and I get what I want out of it. If that is what you keep in mind, and the rest be damned, it does work.

Magician

Magician

Humans create events by embodying concepts (nonphysical) and applying them purposefully in their actions in the ‘real physical world.’ Magician’s illustration says this, exemplifying the esoteric concept that magic is will, and will is magic. So his wand in his right hand points skyward, and his left points to the ground, making him a channel for the action he desires.

Esoterically Magician as the ‘1’ is the male principle. The male principle is action on the physical plane, and being receptive or passive otherwise. (So, guys do things without thinking, riight?) So Magician is about doing … ad nauseam about doing.

A few other things Magician represents: action, activity, initiating or starting anything, making, bringing down, bringing about, engaging in. That’s pretty much it. Today, it’s all the ‘do.’ And that’s the way it usually is.

Magician is an anchor card. That means when you have it it your spread, you save time and effort by looking at it first and seeing where it applies to its fellow Tarot citizens – because it’s easier to read.

Six of Pentacles

You see an employer weighing the gold in the money he pays the help, which is being very fair.  This fair exchange is Six of Pentacles’ core meaning.  In application, the exchange commonly applies not just to money and paying or receiving pay, but to giving or receiving attention, respect, and whatever is deserved.  That can include payback or getting even.

Nine of Cups

Nine of Cups

Ahh, here comes Nine of Cups: Our wish is granted. We are feeling good, and we are happy. That chubby fellow with the big grin has – and has had – all he wants to eat and drink, and there’s the empties to prove the ‘drink’ part. Think of Thanksgiving Dinner if you are familiar with America. Nine of Cups is satisfied: Satisfaction is its favorite word. Getting what you want is what most of its meanings boil down to.

Nine of Cups is content, is happy, and has it all (whatever it is). Nine of Cups is dream come true and is the dream itself – the heart’s desire, what you want the most.

Nine of Cups also is pleasing other people, satisfying them and making them happy … and is wanting to please – being a people pleaser.

Nine of Cups and Six of Pentacles are close relatives because Six of Pentacles too is giving and getting what is desired and what is satisfying. And both Nine of Cups and Six of Pentacles apply to money, attention, reward and any goods or services that the subject of the story is about.

Now Without The Pictures

Six of Pentacles is a fair exchange; Magician is doing it; Nine of Cups is being satisfied with it. Both Magician and Nine of Cups are ‘anchor cards’ in Tarot Verbatim™, meaning they have few and focused meanings and are therefore simpler to read, so you refer to them first to quickly get an idea of what your spread is about.

Six of Pentacles shows workers being paid every penny they are owed by weighing the gold coins. Nine of Cups shows a person who has had a big meal and has that satisfied feeling and is pleased with himself and the world. Magician shows a magician creating an event with his willpower and his tools.

Magician, when it means action, sometimes gets lost in the card that tells what kind of action it is because he is ‘doing’ what it says. You will observe this.

Six of Pentacles and Nine of Cups have a symbiotic relationship: They interact really well. Six of Pentacles is receiving your due, is getting or giving a mutually pleasing interaction of any sort. Nine of Cups is being pleased to have or to get exactly what you want, or to please another person with what they want. Six of Pentacles and Nine of Cups also say ‘paid exactly what you want’ – even ‘paid excessively.’

Our message boils down to the golden rule: Give people what they want fair and square, and they give you what you want.

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

                   LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.………..………. .……..…….. Money exchanges are our sole subject, just about, today, with just a touch of getting the respect you deserve. The idea (Hanged Man); the doing of it (Magician); the reward or payment for that (Six of Pentacles). You know (Hanged Man) you are getting paid (Six of Pentacles) what what you are doing (Hanged Man). It can be an intensely (Hanged Man) rewarding (Six of Pentacles) activity (Magician) too. Or you are paying (Six of Pentacles) him (Magician) what he is worth (Six of Pentacles). We have another interpretation here and there, like ‘See the light and do right’ and ‘I paid my dues for the insight,’ but not much to speak of.

Hanged Man……Hanged Man is in a straitjacket here, a commercial straitjacket, so there’s no reason to go into all his glories. Hanged Man is ideas, perspectives, motivation and telepathic brainwaves. My, how he can spread his mental wings on a normal day. Today, we are all about getting paid for what we do, so the mundane (common, boring) meanings are what apply: realize, think, know, insight, telepathy, a thought striking, inspiration, envision, an intense feeling. Today, we do have (with help from Six of Pentacles) an idea that gets through; we have seeing the light and getting the message; we have recognizing what is deserved; we have the impulse to spend money. But mostly we have ideas about paying and getting paid.

Hanged Man’s illustration expresses its core meaning of sudden realization, of a thought striking: The figure is upside-down to represent the disoriented feeling a realization can give you. There’s a fire-halo around his head to represent mental activity going on inside there.

Six of Pentacles……..Six of Pentacles is a fair exchange of anything, but it’s money (with scales to express the fairness) that the illustration uses to express this idea. You get the (whatever) that you deserve, and you give (whoever) (whatever) he, she, it or they deserve(s). Sometimes the giving is more of a contribution than an exchange; we know this – a one-way transaction. The scales (with the money) bring Six of Pentacles into being a justice card, so it means ‘do the right thing’ and anything relating to the justice industry. It is the main card for a legal proceeding.

The hand-to-hand transaction expands to include passing on. Today its ideas being transmitted to the minds of others; it’s often microbes that are passed.

The illustration shows an employer paying gold coins to workers. The idea of utter fairness is expressed by the fact he weighs the coins to pay his workers every penny: The coins’ value is determined by the weight of the gold that’s left in them as they circulate and lose some shape.

Magician………Magician is a Tarot-man of few words, and we use even fewer of them today in our simple spread. Magician means any form at all of the verbs do, and make, and any way of saying ‘bring about,’ and it means ‘make it happen’ in a general way. Next, Magician is male pronouns, and pronouns of the first person as the subject of a sentence, and also myself. The reasons for this is simple: As the ‘1’ in the deck (which is esoteric), Magician stands for the male principle, which is action. Today, that’s all he’s doing (no pun).

Magician’s concept is illustrated by his raising his right hand skyward, with the wand in it, and his left hand groundward. He wears the halo that means infinity in math, and means eternity. Magic is defined, by people who study it, as an act of will. Willpower is what makes things happen, in other words. Magician means this.

.

.

Most people of goodwill could be said to carry around scales in the back of their minds to weigh the fairness of situations they encounter or experience. Their guts feed back a ticker-tape of the rightness of the passing scene. And most people’s scales are weighted in favor of their own self-interest to one extent or another. Entitlement puts a pretty heavy thumb on some people’s scales, you have noticed.

.

.

.

Now we show where each of the phrases in each of the sentences comes from:

Six of Pentacles – Magician – Three of Wands

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

.……..………………      Six of Pentacles and Three of Wands are both about money coming in. Six of Pentacles also means to pay, to give and to receive respect and/or attention, and fairness or a fair exchange – business. Three of Wands also simply means the future, and to wait, that something good is just around the bend. These two cards mean many of the same things: They overlap. In a larger spread, they firmly establish a theme. In a three-card spread, with the middle card simply meaning to do, to start, to make, and him or himself … well the theme is richly all over the place, and we have nothing much else to say.

………………………..Six of Pentacles shows an employer weighing gold coins to pay the workers, instead of paying at face value of the coin, since coins wear down and have less gold. So he is being fair; he is paying; they are receiving a paycheck. This represents any money exchange, including paying fines, buy and selling and dropping coins into, say, a vending machine. It can be about labor expense, or other business expense. It’s a legal card because of the scales, and can mean court proceedings.

……………………….. Magician as the ‘1’ is the male principle of being active (as contrasted to being receptive or passive which is the 2, which is High Priestess). Its few meanings are mostly about being male, doing (any form of the verb ‘do’ belongs to Magician), making, starting or initiating or taking initiative (which Knight of Cups also strongly means). Magician also means to do it yourself, and means male pronouns he, him, himself, and even ‘I.’ Magician also means act, active, acting and action. The phrase ‘the action taken’ can call Magician.

You see a man in the act of making something happen with his wand. He holds it in his right hand to the sky like a lightning rod, and his left hand points to the earth to ground what he is doing. On the table are the suits of Tarot as the tools of the magician: the cup, the sword, the wand, the pentacle. On his head is the math sign for repeating decimals.

……………………….. Three of Wands is simple and has few meanings too: Your ship is coming in. Money is coming. Good things are coming. He is looking at the ship; it’s a sure thing. Three of wands means future, means waiting, means looking forward, and often translates future tense verbs (will, will be). Three of Wands also puts other cards’ action into future tense.

Is it just me, or do you get a similar feeling, when you are shown respect, to the feeling you get when you are paid for something you have done? We imply that in this spread that parallels receiving attention, recognition, or respect with receiving money. Exchanges of money and other things are our subject today, and that’s all.

Now we show where each of the phrases in each of the sentences comes from:

Six of Pentacles……….. Six of Pentacles has a long list of phrases for its fairly short list of applications. We are using the simplest, most obvious of its meanings today. In the scene on the card, an employer pays wages by weighing the gold coins on a scale, to pay scrupulously the actual value of the coins rather than the face value. Fairness, a fair exchange, paying labor, and workers getting a paycheck are featured in the illustration, but the application includes giving a person his or her due, getting credit for your accomplishments, getting and giving attention, getting and giving recognition.

The scales draw Six of Pentacles into being one of the minor legal cards. It means a legal proceeding, and can be about being served (with papers).

Three of Wands…………Three of Wands is one of the simplest cards, and you don’t need to know anything: Your Ship Is Coming In. The fellow looks at ships coming into port. They are carrying his profit. He is waiting. These elements are about it for Three of Wands: waiting, money coming in, something good is just around the bend for sure, the future. Three of Wands makes other cards future tense, and translates ‘future’ too.

Tarot Readings for You for December 18, 2013 Wednesday©

Guidance     Money is today’s subject, about house payments, paying household bills, paying for other people, investing other people’s money, and even supporting mooches. It’s also to a lesser extent about yourself not being in a position to pay your own expenses. Advice is also about paying people the respect they deserve: Isn’t a full-fledged member of the community until he does what earns our respect. He doesn’t get enough respect to be happy in this marriage. The secret to having a good circle of friends is to treat them the way they deserve.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.

‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages from the pictures of the four cards you see – to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow. The family of commenters here would love for you to join in (the very last thing, at the bottom).

He did it himself, so he put out less money for the house.

The house isn’t good enough but I can afford the payments.

Broke after making the house payments, but I do it anyway.

To keep the house, be the one who makes the payments hand to hand.

We are ‘house poor’ making these payments.

Tarot Readings: Not a Member of the Crowd (Ten of Cups and Four of Pentacles)

He doesn’t get enough respect to be happy in this marriage.

The secret to having a good circle of friends is to treat them the way they deserve.

Doesn’t get enough attention when he does what everybody else does.

Isn’t a full-fledged member of the community until he does what earns our respect.

Doing the right thing leaves you out of that crowd.

Treat people fair and square but you can’t make everybody happy no matter what you do.

Tarot Readings: The Man Pays the Bills (Six of Pentacles and Magician)

He gives all these people money until he is doing without.

It’s his money the family is spending, and he is left out.

He does not have enough money to pay for all of them.

He pays the household bills and keeps a little for himself.

Not enough money left for himself after he pays the household bills.

It takes more money than he will ever make to pay everybody’s expenses.

All these people are broke and it’s you who are paying for them.

Everybody’s bills are his expense.

Tarot Readings: Everybody’s Spending Less (Ten of Cups and Four of Pentacles)

Everybody is spending less and doing for themselves.

We don’t have the money so we do for ourselves at home.

The deadbeat isn’t even paying his household bills himself.

Living with family to save money is what he is doing there.

Tarot Readings: The Cheapskate (Magician and Four of Pentacles)

It’s his doing that all of us are paid less.

He does as little as he can to be paid like everyone else.

They live in his house and they don’t chip in on its expenses.

He is thrifty when he is spending on his family.

Paying for a whole family of cheapskates is what I am doing here.

Tarot Readings: Money Secrets (Six of Pentacles and Four of Pentacles)

This is a respectable guy who keeps where we get that cash a secret.

He keeps what he does for the money a secret from everybody.

Everybody contributes money to this fund that he doesn’t tell them what he does with.

Investing other people’s money for them, some sticks to him.

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Four of Pentacles

Six of Pentacles – Ten of Cups – Magician

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Six of Pentacles and Four of Pentacles are both about money. Six of Pentacles is paying, and Four of Pentacles is withholding. Six of Pentacles is giving others their due, paying or receiving a fair price – a fair exchange taking place. Four of Pentacles is being cheap, not paying enough, letting others pull out that credit card at the restaurant … or not being paid enough, thrift, budget, less money, not admitting or not telling about money – money secrets and being greedy, stingy, tightfisted.

Six of Pentacles and Four of Pentacles both are not just about money. Six of Pentacles is paying proper respect, proper attention, and Four of Pentacles is clamming up, not talking, sulking, withholding information,. Four of Pentacles’ meaning extends to meaning ‘less,’ being inferior, being clingy, having a constipated personality. It also has a few stray meanings like a hug, and being isolated from others (based on the picture of him sitting in the street outside of town.

Ten of Cups and Magician represent the people involved in our story that is about paying and not paying, giving and not giving proper attention or respect, etc. Magician is a man (a male) and means to do, to be the one to do something. Think of Magician as an instigator or initiator: He starts stuff. Here is where we get ‘what he does with money’ or ‘for money.’

Ten of Cups comes in as everybody, the family, other people or people, or all the people, and the community – which enriches the story a lot. Now we have a man doing for the family, we have in Ten of Cups and Four of Pentacles being stingy with other people or refusing to talk with other people. It gives us Six of Pentacles and Ten of Cups other people’s money being invested, paying family bills … even Ten of Cups and Magician making everybody happy, since Ten of Cups is one big happy family.

Six of Pentacles shows an employer weighing in a scale the coins he pays to the help. The scales and ‘paying a fair wage’ concept expands to legal proceedings (but not today). Paying is not just about money. We pay attention; we pay respect, we give others their due – all all these things embrace also the receiving end. It’s about an exchange – a fair exchange. We receive our due, we get respect, and so on.

Ten of Cups today is everybody as well as the community and the family. The illustration shows a happily-ever-after couple hugging themselves in front of their house in the gated community with the rainbow over it, with two happily-ever-after dancing-for-joy kids. We are not so much about the marriage today; we are about family, everyone, community, other people, and making people happy.

Magician is the man who does. The man who makes. The man himself. Being the one who does. Action, something that is being done or was done. The Magician (man who makes things happen with his willpower) is pictured with the tools of his trade, one arm to heaven and the other pointing to earth in the act of creating or preventing a happening – bringing it down from above. This of course is you: Creating with willpower.

Four of Pentacles is so short of money, and he is keeping it from those people in that town, keeping a secret. He is even hugging himself. He can be a cheapskate, he withholds just about anything (constipated inhibited personality). But he can be a hug! He can be self-restraint, can be self-contained. Four of Pentacles sometimes is someone who has to keep quiet, like High Priestess, because he is so far ahead of others. That isn’t our application today, though.

Guidance     Advice is making the distinction between being right and being moral, between being of good repute and doing right by others, giving everyone his due.   In the same way, it makes the distinction between the pay scale for the work and the actual work done for the actual pay.  Such disparities are the norm, we say.   They don’t pay you for doing what you are supposed to.   Doing the accepted thing isn’t doing the right thing.

Doing the accepted thing isn’t doing the right thing.

Hypocritical acts involve avoiding doing right by others.

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the message.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contractions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it.

 Magician

Hierophant, Six of Pentacles, Eight of Cups

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Right away, we have a contrast between doing right by people and/or being treated right by them in the Six of Pentacles story, and the appearance of doing right in Hierophant story. Hierophant (the pope) contrasts the official story (what you learn in Sunday school, the public version of a belief system) and what cognoscenti of that church believe. (Read some textbooks theologians write for other such folks, and you will see this matter in detail.) So Hierophant is ‘the official story,’ the news that’s fit to print. It is about being moral, being respectable, being accepted. (Yes, at times it translates ‘decent’ and harmless or safe, too.)

Since Six of Pentacles is getting paid for work done, and Eight of Cups is something aborted or avoided, we have a financial theme too.

Magician tells us this spread will be about doing, about actions. Eight of Cups tells us the story is about action not being completed, something being avoided or ducked out on or walked away from.

So in the middle we have getting paid. To the left, appropriately and according to the paperwork. To the right, something isn’t finished or doesn’t happen, or doesn’t happen fully. Above, something is done. You can put these together your way, yourself, if you would like to try.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

Hierophant is the show, the outward trappings, of religion. That is the pope in his regalia and the priests in theirs, so it is about church, but can refer to the show of any organization or governmental body or religion. It can refer to the show of morallity or religiosity or hypocrisy. (And you don’t have to be Christian to be a hypocrite!) It means the accepted moral conventional whatever, and also means ordinary, normal and ‘no harm.’ ‘For appearance’s sake’ is a good key phrase for this Rider Waite Tarot card. Hierophant is about respectability, about looking clean (‘having a clean nose’). It is a nice normal decent-looking whatever. It is the accepted whatever, is approved, is official. It sometimes means ‘on paper,’ where a certificate makes something valid or legal.

Six of Pentacles is doing right by others, giving others their due, paying the appropriate attention to anything. It is getting paid fairly or paying a fair price, illustrated literally by an employer weighing the coins he is paying the workers.

.

Eight of Cups abruptly is off the designated route – in this case because the road could go no other way. It means incompletion, detour, re-routing, dropping out, not finishing, quitting, changing your route and changing your ways. It is a turn.

Magician is the active principle, the male principle. It is the act of, doing – any tense of the verb ‘do’ and most tenses of ‘make.’ Magician also means ‘to bring about’ or bring down. No planning or thinking is involved per se in this card’s meaning, just as no action meanings are involved in the Rider Waite card that means the female principle, High Priestess.

Tarot Readings for You for February 27, 2013 Wednesday(c)

Guidance      It’s all about having money, paying bills, investing, taking care of someone, taking initiative, doing right, and having a good future. That’s it, today. – short and sweet.

Instructions:

Are YOU here for the first time?  People love this place!

Here’s what’s going on.  See the pictures?  Those are the four Rider Waite Tarot cards that make today’s messages (group messages) for you (and the people around you).

The site is divided into four sections.  The first is a summary, an overview.  That’s Guidance (above).

The second is the actual one-sentence group readings, Group Analytical Tarot Readings.  If you have come just for your day’s trends, you can go now.  You pick out the ones you intuitively relate to, and decide whether to seek or avoid that.  People relate to these!  See their comments, at the very bottom.  We would *love* to hear from you.

These answers don’t have a question (or a questioner) to frame them, so, yes, they can be contradictory – especially when one of the cards means ‘not’ or other negative word.  The negative can apply to any of the other cards.  And many of the pronouns are flexible.  Feel free to substitute.

The third section, Learn Tarot by Observation, is  the reasoning that makes those four cards say the things you just read in the sentences.  It’s what an expert would be thinking.

The last section, Learn Tarot by Pictures, is the individual meanings of each card, based mostly on its picture, which you are looking at.  Read this frequently, and you remember what some of the cards mean.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Three of four Tarot cards are financial, and the other – Magician – simply means to act, or a male who take initiative or does something. So that’s all folks – it’s about paying the bills, it’s about having the money, it’s about being paid for what you do, for your skill.

Six of Pentacles is to pay fairly, to do right, to treat (anyone or anything) right, with respect.  It means to make periodic payments. It means any kind of legal process or procedure, since it has the scales of justice there.

Queen of Pentacles is the woman who takes care of him, who contributes (anything, in any way), who pays the bills.  She is talented, she is skilled, and she may be a bookkeeper, and definitely manages the money, specifically for her spouse.

Magician is a simple Tarot Verbatim(TM) card:  male who acts, taking action, doing, making, taking initiative, bringing something about.  He is about will, acts of will, getting something done.

Two of Wands is the financial institution, financial security, long term, outlook (usually good), the future, a plan, a ‘for sure in the future’ thing, or a ‘for sure’ thing generally.  It is also having clout, having that kind of money:  He has the world in his hands, after all.

It’s all about having money, paying bills, investing, taking care of someone, taking initiative, doing right, and having a good future. That’s it, today.

Six of Pentacles     is to pay fairly, to do right, to treat (anyone or anything) right, with respect.  It means to make periodic payments. It means any kind of legal process or procedure, since it has the scales of justice there.  The employer weighs each coin for his workers, who need the money.

Queen of Pentacles     is the woman who takes care of him, who contributes (anything, in any way), who pays the bills.  She is talented, she is skilled, and she may be a bookkeeper, and definitely manages the money, specifically for her spouse.  She holds the big gold coin in her hands, she possesses the money.

Magician     is a simple Tarot Verbatim(TM) card:  male who acts, taking action, doing, making, taking initiative, bringing something about.  He is about will, acts of will, getting something done.  He stands (meaning active) before a table with the tools of his trade pictured as the suits of the Tarot, his arm raised to bring about his desired result.

Two of Wands     is the financial institution, financial security, long term, outlook (usually good), the future, a plan, a ‘for sure in the future’ thing, or a ‘for sure’ thing generally.  It is also having clout, having that kind of money:  He has the world in his hands, after all.  The richly dressed fellow stands on the patio roof of his mansion, surveying his empire below.

EXPLANATIONS:

Each and every ‘Tarot Reading’ sentence you see is a literal interpretation of the four Rider Waite Tarot cards drawn and pictured for today. (The literal interpretation is from the illustration on each card.) These sentences are put together by only combining the phrases of what each cards says. In other words, there are NO “filler” phrases added just to make full sentences, and no psychic ability or spirit guide is ever involved.

Now in an ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question and thereby supplies at least half the information! In a personal reading, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too.  Here, in a group reading we cannot do that and so we get a variety of sentences.

Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you!  (Astrologers want you to know this!)

Tarot, on the other hand, is perfectly capable of flexibly addressing any group, including all of the visitors that come to this site. It can also address people you might not even know personally, such as all the people at your job who have a say in whether or not you get a raise.

Our Daily Spread for December 18, 2011 Sunday ©

Advice Money is today’s subject,  about house payments,  paying household bills,  paying for other people,  investing other people’s money,  and even supporting mooches.

Four of Pentacles

Six of Pentacles    Ten of Cups Magician

Is this the first time you come here?  Well …  what to do:

*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Reading below. One or more of those sentences has something to say to you. Intuitively pick those out and decide whether to encourage or suppress them. They are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  our cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Four of Pentacles

GROUP ANALYTICAL TAROT READING Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.
Real Estate,  Making House Payments (Six of Pentacles + Ten of Cups)

What you do does not pay enough to buy that house.

He did it himself,  so he paid less for the house.

The house isn’t good enough but (I) can afford the payments.

Broke after making the house payments,  but I do it anyway.

Social Perspective –  Doing Right by People (Six of Pentacles + Ten of Cups)

He doesn’t get enough respect to be happy in this marriage.

The secret to having a good circle of friends is to treat them the way they deserve.

Doesn’t get enough attention when he does what everybody else does.

Isn’t a full-fledged member of the community until he does what earns our respect.

Doing the right thing leaves you out of that crowd.

Treat people fair and square but you can’t make everybody happy no matter what you do.

The Man Pays the Bills (Six of Pentacles + Magician)

He gives all these people money until he is doing without.

It’s his money the family is spending,  and he is left out.

He does not have enough money to pay for all of them.

He pays the household bills and keeps a little for himself.

Not enough money left for himself after he pays the household bills.

It takes more money than he will ever make to pay everybody’s expenses.

All these people are broke and it’s you who are paying for them.

Everybody’s bills are his expense.

Everybody’s Spending Less (Ten of Cups + Four of Pentacles)

Everybody is spending less and doing for themselves.

We don’t have the money so we do for ourselves at home.

He isn’t even paying his household bills himself.

Living with family to save money is what he is doing there.

The Cheapskate (Magician + Four of Pentacles)

What he does is the reason all those people are paid less.

He does as little as he can to be paid like everyone else.

They live in his house and they don’t chip in on its expenses.

He is thrifty when he is spending on other people.

Paying for a whole family of deadbeats is what is being done here.

Money Secrets (Six of Pentacles + Four of Pentacles)

This is a respectable guy,  he keeps where we get that cash a secret.

He keeps what he does for the money a secret from everybody.

Everybody contributes money to this fund that he doesn’t tell them what he does with.

Investing other people’s money for them,  some sticks to him.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

With Six of Pentacles (paying or receiving money,  attention or respect) and Four of Pentacles (secret,  budgeting or thrift,  holding onto,  less,  less money) get together, you know it’s about m-o-n-e-y.  Then we have Magician …  what he does with money or for money,  because Magician is to do or make,  and is a man.

And of course right in the middle of all this is Ten of Cups,  everybody and other people and all the people,  the community or family.  This enriches the story a lot.  It gives us other people’s money being invested,  and paying other people’s expenses and making everybody happy.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Six of Pentacles shows an employer weighing in a scale the coins he pays to the help.  The scales and  ‘paying a fair wage’  concept expands to legal proceedings (but not today).  Today is all about paying for things.

Ten of Cups today is everybody as well as the community and the family.  The illustration shows a happily-ever-after couple hugging themselves in front of their house in the gated community with the rainbow over it,  with two happily-ever-after dancing-for-joy kids.

Magician is the man who does.  The man who makes.  The man himself.  Action,  something that is being done or was done.  He is pictured with the tools of his trade in the act of affecting some event,  no doubt.

Four of Pentacles is so short of money,  and he is keeping it from those people in that town,  keeping a secret.  He is even hugging himself.  He can be a cheapskate,  he withholds just about anything (constipated personality,  you know).

Our Daily Spread for August 31, 2011 Wednesday ©

Advice is making the distinction between being right and being moral, between being of good repute and doing right by others, giving everyone his due. In the same way, it makes the distinction between the pay scale for the work and the actual work done for the actual pay. Such disparities are the norm, we say. They don’t pay you for doing what you are supposed to. Doing the accepted thing isn’t doing the right thing.
