Tarot Readings for You for July 4, 2018 Wednesday© Email

Here’s a special Wednesday treat for all of you who do your own Tarot using this site as a library of combined meanings of Tarot cards. The treat is a peek into why your question should include pertinent factors that the cards are not precise about. The big factors are dates, person(s), and time.

Ask ‘who did it’ and you get a description you may not recognize. Ask the motive of who did it, and you will get a description of the scene that usually tells you whodunit. Don’t ask ‘when’ about anything because Tarot is mass-consciousness based ‘out there’ or ‘in there’ somewhere, and isn’t earthbound with clocks and calendars. Instead, you ask ‘Will X happen in Y time?’ as I call it. Not ‘When will he call?’ but ‘Will he call this week?’ That converts the question into a yes-or-no one which Tarot will answer well (or pretty well) giving details that are applicable (cogent).

First thing here is the question I did answer for our client ‘as modified.’ She wants to know ‘what a relationship is going to become,’ not specifying the relationship. Tarot Verbatim is fine (is excellent, really) with that. With no background, however, once the cards talk about marriage and leaving or switching, you as the reader don’t know who’s who. The answer is to be from Client’s perspective, but you don’t know which position Client occupies unless that is in the ‘history.’ And there’s no history required in these cold Email readings. This is why the instructions on the Email Reading tab suggest saying whether love interest is married

I wrote Client, and when she did not respond right away, simply modified the question to include just Dude and her. That is the first set of spreads you see.

Then Client answers with history and perspectives. Tarot did rise to the occasion in its answer.

THEN I include the original set of cards which are confusing to apply if you don’t know the history. Now, you can put these together and see how to handle this – how to phrase a general relationship question which gives no identity of parties or background.

If you subscribe to Tarot Email Training, you know things like this about doing readings and forming questions. Click Here to try that out.

You can also get email readings just like these for a mere $18.75. (Sometimes you wait. These are underpriced because I love doing them, so other parts of the work come first, AND the email readings require peace-and-quiet which isn’t scheduled on my calendar (or yours?).

And by the way, you can also call for a telephone reading and ask that the pertinent cards be identified and explained for you. I do a lot of that.

Question: What will I see this relationship situation actually become in the real world in the next, say, three months?

Note the last cards of the last three spreads are about marriage: King of Wands is the husband card in Tarot Verbatim™; Queen of Wands, the wife card; Ten of Cups, one of two good marriage cards.

Emily writes to Client, re the first set of spreads:

This looks like a married man who has ‘the other woman.’  And it looks like that stressed guy you can’t make up his mind but is being affectionate.

If I type up what I have, it may not make sense without me knowing who’s who.

I will wait a while for you to respond, and write these spreads down, and ask the question again limiting the answer to just him and you.

Client writes to Emily re the above Note:

Hi Emily,

Thank you for this.

He is not married, but recently divorced with all sorts of drama with manipulative ex and 2 very manipulative/manipulated kids.

In this sense, even though we are very much in a committed relationship (it’s been almost 2 years, and we met well after his separation but during the final months of divorce litigation), I guess I am the other woman because of all the claws and fangs still gripping him and pulling him in directions his heart does not agree with?

I should add that he has said many time that he will “never get married again”… perhaps he is conflicted about that belief and the prospect of me walking away from him and the drama that he may have to continue to deal with for the next several years…

Emily writes to Client,

This thread of conversation here is a perfect example of the limitations of verbatim Tarot – a perfect example of what should be put in a question to get a focused answer (because the question best contains what the cards are likely to be imprecise about).

I am thinking of publishing it along with the original spread that I replaced when I asked another question limiting the answer to ‘just you and he.’

How do you feel about that?  Your name isn’t mentioned, of course.

Client writes to Emily

Sure, go for it.  Thanks!

Tarot Readings for you for November 10, 2014 Monday©

GUIDANCE        Respectability and decency are opposite forces too often. Your spiritual victory is too often over officially sanctioned righteousness. “A clean nose,” my old daddy used to muse, “indicates filth higher up.” Happy marriage is sometimes due to a controlling partner’s domination. Making peace among all parties means letting everyone be right, soothing the opposition. On the other hand, “We who overcome our demons are entitled to our happiness.”

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.

‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages from the pictures of the three cards you see – to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Tarot Readings: Challenges of Marriage (Strength and Ten of Cups)

Making my marriage right, and not letting anything get in the way.

You should not let family interfere.

Handle the in-laws diplomatically.

Oh the challenges of being legally married!

I am making this marriage the way it should be, no matter what.

Controlling women marry you and make you be happy with them.

The straight community has us in a strait-jacket.

……….…………

Tarot Readings: Struggle to Be Normal (Strength and Justice)

We are not straight-type people; we overcame addictions.

My being in a respectable neighborhood was quite a struggle.

Oh what I have to struggle with just to be one of the normal people.

We who overcome our demons are entitled to our happiness.

You deserve your happiness when it’s the result of a spiritual victory.

……….…………

Tarot Readings: Everybody Being Upright (Ten of Cups and Justice)

The solution to problems is everybody being the way they should be.

Upright families are keeping something very quiet.

Everybody doing as they should would fix everything.

She has that touch that gets us to do what we should do.

It’s those respectable people being so right that are our problem.

Put-downs for the officially sanctioned good citizens.

……….…………

Tarot Readings: Victory in Court (Strength and Justice)

This law firm can handle your problem beautifully.

Everybody is happy that litigation has been prevented.

A class-action lawsuit to prevent an abuse.

……….…………

Tarot Readings: Keeping Things on an Even Keel (Strength and Justice)

Using my influence to set everyone straight.

She handles things without a clash, so that everybody is right.

Conflicts don’t get out in the open, and we get along like normal.

I’m supposed to soothe over problems among these folks.

Stifling opposition to keep the community’s status quo.

.

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined three pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these three cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONS is a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the three cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Strength – Ten of Cups – Justice

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

……………….……………………    An in-depth view of the rift between being respectable and being decent. ‘Behaving’ might be the title of our chapter today.  All three cards are about behaving.  Strength has a double meaning.  On the one hand, Strength is overcoming internal and external demons, including addictions, and overcoming opposition and obstacles.  On the other hand, Strength can be controlling (in a bad sense).  Ten of Cups and Justice are both the upright respectable forces – the good citizens, the enforcement of righteousness.  We have a ringside seat on this clash today. Marriage is featured too. Come see.

………………………..         Strength overcomes opposition, both internal and external. Strength prevents harm, reforms the behavior of potential abusers, stifles opposition, is the strong … or the controlling … woman. Strength is getting the upper hand, and handling the difficulty. You see a lady in a white robe with a sash of flowers and a halo of the eternity sigh: Spirituality. So Strength describes spiritual victory. The vanquished enemy is rendered harmless and purrs instead of roars as she closes his fanged snout with her bare hands.

………………………..     Ten of Cups is marriage and the couple, harmony, all the good people, the good neighborhood, happiness, the ‘American Dream’ of the marital home in the suburb with a boy and a girl. Ten of Cups is, say, world peace (cessation of hostilities) as opposed to, say, everyone being at peace with everyone.

…………..……………     Justice is the law (in all its ramifications), being straight, being right, balance, the status quo, and ‘should.’ It joins in an enforcement theme if there is one. You see Mr. Personified Justice in a red robe with the scales (law) in one hand and the upraised sword, flat side toward you (enforcement) in the other hand. It means ‘entitled’ and ‘right’ too, of course.

………..…………..    Strength and Ten of Cups    Strength is famous for overcoming addictions, so Ten of Cups can just contribute ‘we’ for We overcome our addictions,’ OR you can read Ten of Cups for another of its meanings and say, for these two Tarot cards ‘We who overcome overcome our addictions are happy.’ Strength and Ten of Cups describe struggling just to be normal too, because Ten of Cups is the normal people, and Strength is a struggle. It’s a struggle to be happy, too, since Ten of Cups translates ‘happy.’ So, can you see ‘We who overcome our demons’ as well?

.. Strength is a spiritual victory, so Strength and Ten of Cups is happiness as a result of spiritual victory.

.. Strength is solving a problem, so Ten of Cups can just say ‘our,’ and we have ‘The solution to our problem for these two Tarot cards.

.. Now we have the family (Ten of Cups) keeping something quiet (Strength), which might be about the skeleton in the family closet.

.. Nothing interferes (Strength) with: our marriage; family; us being happy. Not letting family interfere with marriage. Strength is not letting anything interfere, of course: Just look at her! These two cards are the challenges (Strength) of being married too. Since Ten of Cups is ‘happy’ as well as marriage, it’s not letting anything interfere with your happiness. Now switch to Strength being the controlling woman and: They make you be happy with them.

.. Strength is a put-down, is correcting, and is preventing. So, put-downs of good citizens, or good people putting (whoever) down; everybody is happy that (whatever) was prevented.

.. Strength also gets someone to do something by her influence, so ‘She has that touch that gets us to.’

………..…………..            Strength and Justice At first glance, you see ‘being made to do what is right.’ I struggle (Strength) to be normal (Justice). A lawsuit (Justice) to prevent an abuse (Strength). Litigation (Justice) has been prevented (Strength). Using my influence (Strength) to straighten things out (Justice). (Both these cards can be about straightening things out. Strength also means ‘stifle,’ so you get ‘Stifling opposition to keep the status quo,’ because Justice is the status quo as well. Ten of Cups is the status quo too.

……………………    Ten of Cups and Justice   Always remember these two say ‘legal marriage.’ Both these cards mean ‘normal, with Ten of Cups specifically meaning normal people or other living things. They are both the status quo, as I said up there a bit. Using two meanings of Ten of Cups, you read ‘happy legal marriage’ as well as legal marriage. Then we have everybody being the way they should be, upright families, everybody doing or being as they should.

.. Ten of Cups and Justice are a law firm because Ten of Cups is any group of okay people. These two Tarot cards are also a class action suit because, once again, Ten of Cups is a group of people and Justice is litigation.

I bet you can remember a situation in which being right made you look bad, or even carried a penalty. Heck, people have gone to prison, or been killed, for doing the decent thing. Taking a good look at the dichotomy (split) between decency and righteousness is what we are doing now. We talk about inducing or getting people to do right by one another. We talk about coercion to be ‘happy’ with a marital partner.

Strength………   Strength is the spiritual victory over a vice or opponent of any sort. It is about overcoming without a clash, quashing opposition in the bud, disarming the beast, setting the situation straight, inducing the miscreant to behave, and overcoming your own weakness or vice. You see a woman in a white robe holding the lion’s mouth shut. She has an eternity-sign halo and wears a garland of flowers as a sash.

.

Ten of Cups ………….  Ten of Cups is marriage, happy people, family, community, a good neighborhood, a group of people, a happy home, house, everybody, the comfortable suburban life. It is one of the cards that suggests people with money are good people. You see the dream home, the embracing couple with their good children.

.

Justice ……….   Justice is the shouldness of it all – sane, normal, balanced situation or person. Of course it means litigation and anything law. Next to Ten of Cups, you have the law-abiding good citizens. Justice means commitment in a relationship question.

Our Daily Spread for April 10, 2011

The question for this weekend is: How pleased will you be with your life for the next 6 months?

Rider_Waite_Tarot_Spread

Dealing mentally with your own fears enables you to deal with scary people

Strength
Ten of Cups, Queen of Cups, Page of Swords

Make yourself see that, despite all the reasons you know of to be fearful, everyone is doing well.
Everybody is as happy and prosperous as they think they are, and they are able to solve whatever problem threatens their good life together.
A mentality of already having a good life is a defense to whatever would get in the way of that good life.
Dealing mentally with your own fears enables you to deal with scary people.
It’s an exciting time for everybody as they realize they are overcomers.
We are all overcoming whatever we thought were threats to having a good life now.
You make yourself happy by overcoming in your own head whatever opposes your having a good life.
Adjust your own ideas of what a good life is for you and yours, and defend that turf.

You and your people are enjoying good times and you know to calm yourself when things get to you.
Once the mouthy teenager is quieted, everyone understands how happy we all really are.
You know your people well enough to make everyone happy by not letting them get on one another’s nerves.
She knows her people well enough to make everyone happy by not letting them get on one another’s nerves.
You prevent discord and make the people around you happy by knowing how to calm down the difficult, oppositional people.
She prevents discord and makes the people around her happy by knowing how to calm down the difficult, oppositional people.
You and your friends and family have a group mentality that keeps you from getting on one another’s nerves and keeps you happy together.
When you deal firmly with that annoying person, you will understand that everyone was really getting along together.

The gist of this description of how pleased you will be with the next six months is that the good life is here already; it is a matter of defining it and defending it against spoilers from the outside. It is also a matter of adjusting your inside thinking to automatically overcome whatever is in the way there. This sounds like gratitude and the law of attraction. It also sounds like Buddha’s slogan that one of the ways to have everything you want is to want only what you already have.

We have asked how pleased with life, and we begin with the Ten of Cups, which means ‘happily ever after.’ This is associated with mentality or thinking, the Queen of Cups, the thinker, who is also a peacemaker sort of gal. Next come the teenage attitude that desecrates domestic peace, the spoiler, closely followed by that element being shut up, overcome, dealt with firmly, by Strength. So our story is fairly obvious. It’s an allegory (vocabulary word alert: a story that illustrates a point) about how mama is the sweet peacemaker of the family; she keeps it happy by not letting the mouthy kid make all that noise. Deal with your life that way.

Queen of Cups and Strength are female cards by the illustrations, but the Queen becomes ‘mentality’ and her thoughts become ‘your’ thoughts because these messages are for a group and ‘she’ excludes the male gender but ‘he’ doesn’t.

Meanings and Illustrations:

Ten of Cups: One big happy prosperous family, a happy outcome, a happily-ever-after marriage and home life. The rainbow over the house, the girl and boy child dancing and parents with arms to the sky, ta-da, displaying their rainbow … where’s the dog? We need that little frisky white dog of the Fool here. Hope he didn’t really fall off that cliff.

Queen of Cups: Here is the nice lady wife of the happily-ever-after family, dreamily contemplating her oversized doo-dad. She is thinking of her man, understanding her man.

Page of Swords: This is a teenager, I say!, in the otherwise happy family. He is defensive and aggressive, standing there with his sword in both hands waving it around at … nothing. There’s nothing within a mile of him and yet he is in hell-raising mode.

Strength: Interesting how she comes right after the one who needs to be soothed and stymied. Strength makes peace, with an accent on the ‘makes.’ She is the over-comer, she has such character no one crosses her but she is non-combative. She has tamed her own beast, and can tame

Our Daily Spread for Jan. 23, 2011

Tarot reading 1-23-11

Beautiful gal gets his attention and makes him marry her

Empress
Strength, Six of Pentacles, Ten of Cups

She makes everybody respect her and is their resource.
She is a sexy gal who is adept at getting everyone’s respect.
Her skill and her being a resource for everybody gets her very well paid.
She is one of those happy prosperous people who make others give her her due.
Everyone is happy with her ability to make ‘slows’ pay their bills.
She is so well off she pays her household bills, she has that under control.
Her ability to make everyone in the family chip in and give her the good life.
She solves the bill paying problem and is so happy to have plenty.

Okay, here we have another manic happily-ever after Girl Story. Tomorrow had better be good after this one! She gets respect, gets the money, makes everybody happy, solves the problems – what more could you want? – oh yeah, there’s marriage. Again.

Strength is the woman who prevents opposition and solves problems by her strength of character: See, the lion can’t snarl at her, she has her hands over his mouth and is petting him. Six of pentacles is any kind of money exchange, especially paying the bills or getting paid. Ten of Cups, well, thar she blows, the ‘happily-ever-after marriage card, which also means everybody and prosperous lives. And the Empress, of course, is the beautiful dame who has plenty, the Fertility Goddess herself.
