Empress
The beautiful sexy woman with the cute and cozy personality. The trophy woman, too. She is a resource, and can double as a pregnant person as well. She can be wealthy, can be a woman of leisure, and can be a loose woman. This is one of those cards that, in the Tarot Verbatim(TM) system, is vague enough that you look to others in the spread to establish its theme. The illustration shows a zoftig (curvy) lady reclining on cushions outdoors, the female symbol set in a valentine-shaped shield, roses on her gown. This card reminds one of Marilyn Monroe.
Fool
Today Fool is young and foolish, frisky and reckless, devil-may-care on a beautiful day. This person personifies optimism, faith, a charmed life … and being oblivious. It also means to not be present or ‘in the absence of’ a person or thing. We see a young person skipping on the edge of a cliff, out on a day trip with a pet dog, who is also about to go over the cliff. The tradition is … like God protects fools and drunks … nothing bad will happen. One of its deeper meanings is that a spiritual person can take risks because (while on the mission anyway) he leads a charmed life.
Knight of Swords
Knight of Swords runs on high: It is all about speed. Pursuing, fleeing, coming back, turning around – whatever the direction, it’s in a big hurry. Life in the fast lane. The illustration shows a knight in full armor, sword extended over his flying horse’s neck, wind whipping his garments and the trees.
Three of Cups
Three of Cups shares the profit as well as being the life of the party. The girls are celebrating, and are The Three Musketeers together. They can also be debutantes – moneyed ladies.

This is mostly about the lighthearted fun of dating, and definitely about the pretty girls, since Empress is the beautiful sexy woman and Three of Cups is dating, sharing life, having a party.

Knight of Swords Zoom-zoom. What a rush, and all worked up too. His sword raised over the head of his racing horse, the wind-whipped knight pursues or rushes. This card in Tarot Verbatim (TM) means to go back and forth as well as to pursue, and sometimes to flee. To speed is a given. |

Three of Wands There he waits, watching his ships come in to port with his money. Money coming in is the main meaning, good things in the future, and sometimes waiting. It call the future tense upon the verb of its sentence quite often. |

Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that .
Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)
Horoscopes are group readings too.
Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things, especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.
Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.
The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.
