Guidance

So many people in a position of power are arbitrary, unstable, even goofy. You could theorize unstable people gravitate to power and then let loose their inner urges. You could also figure there’s something about power that shuts down good sense. Anyway, that’s our rumination for this current time.

Could This Be You?

Picture this: You look at the cards in your spread.
You immediately get an idea because you know a few of them intimately.
AND you know a system that works because you have had a few

Here Tarot is talking to you: These sentences express word-for-word, verbatim, the meanings of those three Tarot cards. You choose which sentences apply to you, and you choose whether to encourage them or not.

SYNOPSIS Located right after the Group Tarot Cards Reading sentences, is a deeper expression of today’s Guidance. Read this too for your predictions. Here you complete your predictions experience. The rest of the page is more about learning to love and learn Tarot Verbatim™.

LEARN TAROT CARDS BY PICTURES Are you ready to begin learning Tarot Verbatim™? Here your in-depth meanings come alive for each of the three cards! In Tarot Verbatim™, pictures make the meaning, so each card is like a person you know and remember.

WITHOUT THE PICTURES For the true seeker of Tarot knowledge, here is what you need to know about how the three cards in today’s spread affect one another, and how to apply Tarot Verbatim™. Here too the cards come alive, together.

WHERE EACH PHRASE COMES FROM At a glance, with a color for each card, your subconscious picks up on how the sentences of GROUP TAROT CARDS READING came to be. You feel how individual card meanings reach out and blend, unite, into a sentence. (You can learn this – yes, you!) Your subconscious awareness sees the image and its feeling and your conscious awareness sees the language meaning, the text… so your two minds focus together to see 3D, three dimensionally, the same way your two eyes see depth that one eye does not.

PHRASES FOR ALL THREE TWO CARD COMBINATIONS Are you ready for the final step of this revolutionary Tarot Verbatim™ technique? Now to make it exceedingly plain and simple, we list the expressions each pair of cards makes. We list them in paragraph form rather than itemized so that they flow, and your subconscious clicks into place and ‘gets it.’ You may even find flashes of dreams or intuitive realities as you read these, at times.

The Rider Waite Tarot™ deck is a data bank in mass consciousness that your subconscious can communicate with. Tarot Verbatim™ is the Rosetta Stone that makes that communication easy because it is a bridge between conscious and subconscious thought. When both your levels of awareness focus together, you think intuitively in real time in ‘the real world.’

Bon voyage!

Synopsis

It’s all the silly things I have been doing that are making me as grown-up as I am, and it’s a continuing process. That’s why a lot of American Indian tribes have old women in positions of leadership. We look back, every one of us, and we ask ourselves “What was I thinking?”   Of course, the folks who don’t ask … and answer … that question may end up as goofy oldsters.

Two of Pentacles

Two of Pentacles

The two main elements of this illustration mean opposite things. Go figure. A juggler who dances is about movement and timing. The movements are all the ones you see: up and down, back and forth, round and round, whirling. The movements are continuous and rhythmic. His costume is silly, and the hat could pass for a dunce cap. Here are some words these things bequeath us today: repeats over and over again; silly, kept; is doing silly; once in a while, revolving; both sides; juggling; when things could go either way; queasy feeling (re the whirling of course). ‘Becoming’ also is a translate for Two of Pentacles because the movement brings the phrase ‘in the process’ and whatever means about the same thing.

The ships tossing on those impossible waves bequeath all the unstable meanings, like these today: upsets; rocks your boat; unstable times; iffy situations; who are unstable; if only I could. ‘Iffy’ is a frequent word for this end of Two of Pentacles.

Eight of Wands

Eight of Wands

The sticks fly fast through the air one above the other, a lot of them. This makes most of Eight of Wands meanings. The categories are: many (which makes plurals of surrounding cards), fast, one after the other.

The other category Eight of Wands owns is talk. It’s the lead card for speak/tell/say, the Tarot tribe. Can’t tell you why; it just is, in the field, so go with it.

Emperor

Emperor

So few and so similar meanings to Emperor that it’s hard to make a variety of sentences with him. Emperor appears less frequently than other cards, an example of the ‘consistent violator of the Laws of Random Distribution’ that Tarot is (when it’s being used to get information). Emperor, esoterically, as the Four, represents the perfected state and therefore represents stagnation as a phase (no more growth possible in perfection). So Emperor is the old man, the Establishment, the highest authority (king/daddy/God/CEO/boss). Also the dictator, strongman, set-in-his-ways person (usually but not always male).

Emperor also represents the grownup, the mature man or person, maturity itself – and of course Grandfather.

Emperor is government, most specifically federal government or a federal government agency.

Now Without The Pictures

Eight of Wands and Two of Pentacles are movement, repetition, and quick movement. Eight of Wands emphasizes one after another in succession, and quickly. Two of Pentacles emphasizes continuing on and on, and also can be any kind of repeated movement, even refer to repetitive movement injury when aspected that way.

When you are working with two cards (especially in only a three-card spread) that have the same meaning, you use the other meaning of one of them – of course. The other meaning for Two of Pentacles is mainly silly/unstable, and the other meaning of Eight of Wands would be speak/talk/tell/say.

Emperor doesn’t belong here: His meanings don’t dovetail, don’t jibe, don’t comfortably fit into theirs. You have to do some trimming and jamming, and the product is less than sterling. This misfit could be because I arbitrarily chose these cards while having my computer remotely repaired, to demonstrate to the technician how the template behave while being populated with its new set of Tarot cards.

Emperor is the staid, old, rigid, set-in-his ways guy, or the high-level boss, or the old man. The other two cards are movement, silliness, and a lot of talk or even foolish talk. Therefore, that’s our story today, that’s what today is about. Unless choosing the cards that way has produced a blank.

Our Daily Spread for November 11, 2011 Friday and Veteran’s Day ©

Advice The arbitrary disruption of what is usual and proper by entities who have the power to do so:  That is our relentless theme today,   Veteran’s Day.  Veterans whose lives were disrupted sometimes frivolously and arbitrarily and who are not paid fairly (your father?).  It’s about stupid power plays that prevent what should be happening,  but it’s also about the boss being upset when the wage slave walks out.  Hmmm.  “You continue giving him respect when he discontinues being a grownup”  is my favorite.

(At the time of production,  there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation.  I am writing around it now!)

Is this the first time you come here?   Well … what to do:

*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages.  (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out.  They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It  is a group message like a horoscope,  except Tarot isn’t based on someone Else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is  “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions?  –  You are done now  –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Two of Pentacles

Six of Pentacles   –   Eight of Cups   –   Emperor

DAILY MESSAGE TAROT ANALYSIS  Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Governmental Perspective (Emperor)

The Establishment is roiled when the wage slaves walk out.

Periodic payments to the government/corporate headquarters are not what they were.

The case is dismissed in the proceeding when it goes over to the appellate judge.

The federal agency routinely intervenes in the legal proceedings.

The federal agency quit doing what it should for them,  went squirrely.

The federal government unexpectedly quit funding what has been ongoing.

You pay the governments and cannot continue your routine operations.

Governments disrupt what is usual and proper.

There’s no return on investment anymore for what you pay the governments.

Prescription or medicating Perspective (Six of Pentacles)

The old man isn’t getting dizzy anymore after that prescription.

Isn’t losing balance any more since the specialist gave the prescription.

Daddy isn’t controlling and unstable anymore since he is taking that.

On (his) own authority,   he quit taking the meds that he was on.

On my own authority,   I am not going to start taking prescriptions.

Arbitrary Controlling (Old) Man Perspective (Emperor)

His usual routine is to avoid paying his dues   –   he is controlling that way.

When he isn’t in his mature,   solid-citizen phase,   he quits paying his respects.

He quits treating us right as his controlling self rolls in.

Feels his position as the patriarch is shaky now that he isn’t the one paying the bills.

Not receiving the contact you routinely should from the old man.

Sometimes he is a grownup and sometimes he doesn’t deliver.

Quit paying attention to this silly old man.

Stupid power plays prevent what should be happening.

Getting your fair price as usual is not going to happen because of the powers that be.

You continue giving him respect when he discontinues being a grownup.

The old man isn’t around anymore to continue paying those bills.

Legal Perspective (Six of Pentacles)

He has the legal authority to suspend operations.

The case is dismissed in the proceeding when it goes over to the appellate judge.

The Establishment is upset when the case is dismissed.

The federal agency routinely intervenes in the legal proceedings.

Disruption Perspective (Eight of Cups)

The delivery did not make it all the way through to the person in charge.

Cannot do the ordinary course of business because of the antics of someone in power.

Some power arbitrarily disrupts the contacts that should be coming to the business.

Some power arbitrarily disrupts the payments that should be coming to this business.

Contacts are not getting through for you to do business as usual because of this power play.

Veterans whose lives were disrupted frivolously and who are not paid fairly.

Governments disrupt what is usual and proper.

The federal agency quit doing what it should for them,  went squirrely.

The federal government unexpectedly quit funding what has been ongoing.

The Establishment is roiled when the wage slaves walk out.

Labor expense isn’t what it used to be for the powers that be.

Two of Pentacles

Six of Pentacles  –  Eight of Cups  –  Emperor

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

Well, there’s no iota of romance today!  Four independent Rider Waite Tarot citizens here make a story about disruption of the usual routine,  and a power is being arbitrary,  sometimes a federal agency.  Here’s how:

Six of Pentacles is receiving or paying what should be:  an exchange,  a fair exchange,  often a commercial exchange,  but it includes  ‘attention,’  as in paying or receiving attention,  and this includes respect.  So paying your dues and receiving the respect or attention you deserve.  The fairness theme extends to legal proceedings:  See the scales of justice there?  The word  ‘dispense’  is called up sometimes,  and so is  ‘give,’  of course.  Six of Pentacles is the key Tarot card in this group.

Next we have two cards that affect that fair exchange adversely:  Eight of Cups is not going through,  dropping or being suspended;  Two of Pentacles is  ‘Oops,’  something goofy or arbitrary,  is an antic,  and it is also a continuing routine or what is usual.

In Emperor,  our story now involves some power,  some rigid kingpin,  a federal entity or government,  a controlling male or patriarch,  an old man (often a rigid controlling old man).  This made some of the sentences hard to phrase.

This spread is another example of one without an action card,  although the  ‘exchange’  part of the Six of Pentacles is a fairly good substitute.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Six of Pentacles is receiving or paying what should be:  an exchange,  a fair exchange,  often a commercial exchange,  but it includes  ‘attention,’  as in paying or receiving attention,  and this includes respect.  So paying your dues and receiving the respect or attention you deserve.  The fairness theme extends to legal proceedings:  See the scales of justice there?  The word  ‘dispense’  is called up sometimes,  and so is  ‘give,’  of course,  and even  ‘dealt.’

The prescription theme arises from pills being dispensed to the persons who deserve them,  and kind of arises from the word  ‘treatment’  from  ‘treating right.’  Remember,  this system is verbatim.

Its illustration shows the employer paying wages fairly, weighing the coins.  The artist who drew this puts the employees on their knees,  hence ‘wage slaves.’  Pamela Coleman Smith was an unappreciated underpaid lady to the end of her days,  so I think she is telling us something personal here?

Eight of Cups is about disruption,  failure to complete,  walking out or dropping something,  over with before it begins,  detour.  Its illustration shows a traveler on foot having to go in a different direction because the road doesn’t go that way.  Disparate words are to be expected from it.   Some of these words are:  quit, detour,  over with,  interrupt or disrupt,  off course,  drop out or walk out,  abrupt or abruptly,  “Out of here,”  didn’t make it,  isn’t (whatever) anymore,  renege,  derailed,  anymore,  unexpectedly,  ‘is not what it used to be,’  ‘isn’t the one who (whatever) anymore,’  and  ‘suspend’  in the sense of  ‘discontinue.’

Emperor Da Boss,  he is.  In Emperor,  our story now involves some power,  some rigid kingpin,  a federal entity or government,  a controlling male or patriarch,  an old man (often a rigid controlling old man).  Love the face the artist draws for this influence:  The rigid posture combined with the look of dullness one gets when one feels one cannot be challenged.

Emperor is the feeling you have,  or stance you have,  when you are your own authority.  Emperor is the foundational power structure,  the Establishment,  which does not have to be abusive but can get away with it.  Emperor is also seniority and a veteran of … How appropriate because today is Veteran’s Day.

Two of Pentacles pictures a juggler keeping the pentacles moving,  a symbol of continual motion drawn between them.  His feet suggest dancing.  Behind him,  ships are tossed up and down dizzyingly on rhythmic waves.  He is wearing a dunce cap and green shoes with an orange outfit.  Here are some phrases this illustration produces:  on and on,  back and forth,  round and round,  wobble,  shaky,  goofy,  queasy,  dizzy,  silly,  oops,  unstable,  frivolous,  squirrely,  arbitrary,  oscillate,  rolls in,  continuing,  keeps (being/doing/getting, whatever),  phase or phases in and out,  continuing,  routine, ongoing,  operations,  usual (whatever) or as usual,  antics,  roils.
