Three of Pentacles
The general contractor or architect who oversaw the construction of the building meets his clients, blueprints in hand, to demonstrate he followed them, and is entitled, per their contract, to his final large payment. It’s a fair exchange, he lived up to his agreement and so will the clients, a monk and a nun. Emphasis is on each party to a transaction or relationship doing his/her part fair and square. It’s a profitable deal on both or all sides – is Three of Pentacles. Each of the phrases in this paragraph belong in Three of Pentacles’ dictionary. This is a business meeting about settling up.
Three of Pentacles can be a legal card because of the contract. Since it is a meeting as well, Three of Pentacles reflects legal processes: hearings, sentencings, negotiations, plea bargains, motion hearings, agreements, etc.
Three of Pentacles is one of the real estate cards too – not today though. It is especially appropriate to a real estate closing or contract.
Wheel of Fortune
Wheel of Fortune’s illustration expresses the participation of both divine and infernal spiritual influences in human affairs. Around the outside of the circle that looks like a roulette wheel are various critters or entities with books, and some occult bad guys – especially that red lizard. Inside the circle are the four letters that make up the Name of God (without vowels) in Hebrew, interspersed with R, O, T and A, an esoteric term. So Wheel of Fortune is your card if you are talking with Tarot about karma, destiny, or whether something’s going to happen.
But in real daily Tarot life, Wheel of Fortune is good luck, wonderful, miracles, optimum outcome, and happening for the best. This Rider Waite Tarot card often says ‘It happens.’
Death
Tarot Verbatim™ has a whole ‘nother Death from the other systems. Death in Tarot Verbatim™ is any negative modifier. It cancels out the meaning of a neighbor card, whether that card is negative or positive. So when you have a card that makes life difficult, you pray for Death. Death will make Four of Pentacles not broke.
Since Death means The End, it can simply say ‘finally,’ or ‘ends up,’ which can turn a negative story positive. In this way, Death does mean change, but in Tarot Verbatim it doesn’t mean change directly. Many Tarot systems have this change for Death because of ‘The King is dead; long live the King’ thing.

Three of Pentacles is one of the most popular citizens in the Tarot deck: It shows up often, and makes meaningful clear phrases with most every other citizen. Three of Pentacles is relationship, deal, meeting, agreement, getting together, negotiating, putting heads together, doing one’s part, being fair and a fair deal, jointly accomplishing or engaging … very basic general stuff.
Wheel of Fortune makes all these things wonderful, optimal, the best ever … and makes them happen. Wheel of Fortune even means miracle and miraculous.
Both Three of Pentacles and Wheel of Fortune are about a payoff. Together they say ‘wonderful relationship,’ ‘very profitable deal,’ and other great news.
Then Death puts a negative to the sentence. However, the sentence is so positively positive that Death says ‘ends up being,’ ‘say “no” until,’ and ‘lucky you didn’t.’ Watch for this; it’s a good technique to avoid the Death sentence – pun intended.

As positive as this is, let me tell you that these Mother Nature/Smell Good relationships are never-ending drama (even after marriage!). Fertility clinics demonstrated this in detail with 100,000 of their couples matched with 100,000 like couples in a study that cost millions in the Nineties when genetic testing was new and expensive. This illustration represents the idea that coincidences that ‘make our day’ are affected by both divine and infernal spiritual entities. The four letters in Hebrew of God’s name alternate with Apollo’s ‘Rota,’ which is the Wheel of Fortune (destiny in operation) in myths of that day. Various otherworldly critters which appear in those myths grace Wheel of Fortune outside the roulette-looking Wheel.

In spite of the mostly bad-guy critters, in real Tarot operation, Wheel of Fortune is winning, luck and lucky, destiny and miracle, best results and best-anything, wonderful opportunity (and wonderful, and opportunity, separately).
Three of Pentacles – Note that Three of Pentacles gets around: It shows up in everyone’s spreads more than other cards do. Tarot is a consistent violator of Laws of Random Distribution (probability), and Three of Pentacles is here to swear to that. Three of Pentacles translates ‘relationship’ – any kind of relationship, and translates ‘meeting’ – any kind of meeting. It also means to agree, and to get together. Those are the meanings that prompt it to show up so often in your spreads. (Three of Pentacles is the ‘Mother Card’ in the Email Training I am writing for you precisely because it plays well with other Tarot citizens. The illustration shows the man who built the cathedral meeting with the nun and priest who hired him. The building is finished, and he is there to prove to his clients that he did his job as agreed, and is worthy of his pay, his final draw which represents his profit. That’s how Three of Pentacles gets its money transaction, business dealings, and its profit meanings.

The three people are meeting as friends who work together (as a team), and who are in agreement with one another. So Three of Pentacles is often about three people meeting, and it is present when people are ‘putting their heads together’ in a mutual project or a joint enterprise. It is also about any kind of meeting – friends getting together, even proceedings in a lawsuit.

They are meeting about a real estate contract, which makes Three of Pentacles the lead card for any kind of real estate sale, deal, or process. It is also a support card for a legal theme. So it appears for people getting together about litigation, or appearing in court to pay a fine. (Six of Pentacles is also paying a fine if you ask about that.)
High Priestess – This High Priestess is one of those cards who have a lot of meanings related only by their picture and their story. First, she represents ‘the feminine principle,’ an esoteric (occult) concept. The feminine is inactive on the physical plane and active on the mental/spiritual plane, in a nutshell. (Magician, the masculine principle, is the opposite.) This is where we get The Lady meanings, the meanings about being quiet, knowing all, being spiritually wise, being the expert. She who knows all.

High Priestess is sedentary and solitary, private and quiet. She is sort of inert: She doesn’t tell, either. She is behind the scene, and is known for staying in one place. A homebody, or housebound. (She can even show up for being in a wheelchair once in a while.)

High Priestess will appear for a secretary (sedentary job), a bookkeeper (has a book in her lap), and even The Other Woman (behind the scene, laying low).

Wheel of Fortune’s illustration is about the long shot that paid off royally: What looks like a roulette wheel is surrounded by divine and by infernal entities associated with destiny. Its message is that spiritual factors influence mundane (everyday) doings and affairs. Hitting the jackpot is being blessed by randomness, it says, but there are pitfalls too.
Three of Pentacles’ (itself a violator of the Laws of Random Distribution: Look how often it visits!) illustration is less obvious, but it too is about a payoff. High Priestess and Wheel of Fortune address the spiritual plane in different ways:
Wheel of Fortune means destiny, karma, it happens, an event, coincidence, luck or lucky, the influence of the spiritual realm, definitely including the dark end of that realm, but overall represents a miracle.
High Priestess is deep spiritual knowledge, a woman’s intuition, the spiritual plane itself, one who is very knowing, intuitive, knowledgeable, expert, a secret or secret knowledge, a lady, a female, a woman – since it means the feminine principle itself. This card represents ‘the other woman’ – probably combining ‘a woman’ and ‘secret.’ It is also one of the waiting cards since she is not active, stays in her place, is not doing anything. It actually means ‘the passive role’ or passive. It advises to not do anything.
Seven of Wands, there’s a dichotomy to his main meanings. One of those sides is to defend oneself against intrusion; the other is the pushy adolescent type personality who wants the world, wants it now, and you’re the one to deliver it. (All Tarot cards apply to both sides of any action they portray, this is no exception – it’s just more dramatic than most.) Being defensive, pushing yourself, pushing it through – these are Seven of Wands’ phrases. Raising hell, sometimes, too.

Wheel of Fortune This illustration is an idea graph. It depicts how the nonphysical realm affects the physical strongly through coincidence, and through the influence of otherworldly critters. EXPLANATIONS:
Each and every ‘Tarot Reading’ sentence you see is a literal interpretation of the four Rider Waite Tarot cards drawn and pictured for today. (The literal interpretation is from the illustration on each card.) These sentences are put together by only combining the phrases of what each cards says. In other words, there are NO “filler” phrases added just to make full sentences, and no psychic ability or spirit guide is ever involved.
*Without a question* in a group reading to focus the answer, the four Tarot cards can mean quite contradictory things, especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no,’ ‘never’ or ‘not.’ These negative modifiers can apply to any one of the other cards.
*Without a question* in a group reading, the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) are more flexible. Whenever you see a pronoun in parentheses, please *feel very free* to substitute another pronoun than the one used. I try to drop pronouns when possible, which, if you’ve noticed, can make for awkward phrasing.
Now in an ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question and thereby supplies at least half the information! In an individual situation, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too. Here, in a group reading we cannot do that and so we get a variety of sentences.
Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you! (Astrologers know this!)
Tarot, on the other hand, is perfectly capable of flexibly addressing any group, including all of the visitors that come to this site. It can also address people you might not even know personally, such as all the people at your job who have a say in whether or not you get a raise.
We have been wondering here lately whether the Tarot Verbatim(TM) sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than they are for people who visit this site only once in awhile or for a short time. Again, we have Tarot cards whose meanings intersect one another. The Ace of Wands means both sex and ‘of primary importance.’ The King of Pentacles is the sexy studly Italian Stallion type, and also the important money man – usually in a flamboyant way, or manipulative way, so he could be the stereotypical gangster. The King is also the money man, even a banker, possibly a wheeler-dealer, and it is paired both with the Wheel of Fortune, a grand opportunity, and the Three of Pentacles, a money settlement or deal. So, the Ace of Wands and the Three of Pentacles can mean ‘big deal,’ and the King adds ‘with the big dealer.’ Go ahead, get cross-eyed weaving these together.
Meanings and Illustrations:
Ace of Wands: The most (hence any word ending in ‘iest’). The most important, biggest, monumental, the one, or having clout. It also means sex, sexual, and words referring to the use of force such as ‘make’ and ‘do it the hard way,’ etc.
The illustration is very direct. It looks like a penis, and it is a hand with a board in it. It is one of the ‘anchor’ cards, is one of the cards you look to first to figure what meaning the others are using, because it has so few meanings compared to the other cards. (LOL! A board sprouting little baby boards – Stef)
Wheel of Fortune: Opportunity, a chance, a fortunate happening, payoff or hitting the jackpot, to happen, lucky or lucky chance or lucky break, and so on. That is what we are using today. It has other meanings such as destiny, etc.
The illustration suggests a roulette wheel.
King of Pentacles: Oh, this is Mr. Trump, you know. The rich man, the powerful man, the money man or the banker/bankster, the flamboyant fella, the manipulative bastard, the politician, even the gangster. He is also the studly dude, the Italian Stallion type. The illustration is so true to that type of man.
Three of Pentacles: This is the deal or relationship, the settlement, the negotiation of a contract, three people getting together or putting their heads together. This is a real estate closing or a love triangle or a relationship in which each party (or all parties) does his part.
The illustration shows an architect negotiating his final payoff with the owners of the building, a cathedral. They are comparing the building to the blueprint.
