GUIDANCE Oh, a happy home life. How likely it seems that we arrive at that place ‘after what I’ve been through,’ finding our prince or princess after kissing a mountain of slithery frogs. Nevertheless, wild blue yonder of domestic bliss can surprise us at times too. Without paying our dues, here we are at romance’s heavenly gate.

Six of Swords – ‘Leaving with nothing but the clothes on your back’ is what you are looking at. Like refugees at dawn or dusk, a woman and child huddle in an open small paddle boat without any bags. They are going to a better place only because nothing could be worse than here. Six of Swords is despair and hope. It is the despair of leaving town in desperation, and it is the hope of the better place ahead. Six of Swords is also the journey or trip (often over water literally, sometimes a journey in consciousness, or even ‘the departed’s’ journey).
.
Often when Six of Swords emphasizes leaving, it is a sad card unless amended by other cards. Here are today’s words for Six of Swords as leaving – because day is a good example of The Three Faces of Six of Swords:
LEAVING: [NOT ANYMORE, OVER WITH, OUT OF, LEAVES, PUT BEHIND]
My days of _ are over
slowly _ you out
steer me out of
to get out of
Out of a bad scene
Leaves
Not anymore
Left home
Leaving _ behind
as I put the past behind
since the old is over with
once we aren’t there anymore
When six of Swords emphasizes the journey, you will often find words like this for it:
JOURNEY: [MOVING ON, BETTER FUTURE, HEAD OUT, GET ON WITH, FROM NOW ON]
Moving on to
a better future for
Off I go into
Moving to
head on out
and get on with life
will be _ from now on
it will only get better
When Six of Swords emphasizes the arrival, it is usually hopeful, and here are those characteristic words today:
ARRIVAL: [LEAVING FOR, MOVED ON, NEW DIRECTION, ANOTHER DIRECTION, OUT WITH AND IN WITH]
is leaving home for
Leaving for
Out with _, in with
Out with _ and into
Doesn’t _ anymore _ moved on to
a new direction
I’m heading in another direction
.
Of course, sometimes Six of Swords is simply supplying a word in a story that isn’t about relocating, just a trip to the grocery story or whatever.

Fool – Fool lives in the wild blue yonder (and it means that). The best way to sort out the far-flung meanings of Fool is to think of the zero, which means ‘nothing,’ because it’s the zero of the deck, and which is free, free-floating, free-spirited, unattached. Also to think of the subconscious and the state of being not there, and paying no attention or being absent in the same way the zero is not there, is just a formality, a place-holder. The first month of Tarot Email Training is worth the thirty bucks for the full celebration of Fool it covers (as well as the bonus book you get).
.
Fool also belongs to the ‘beginning’ and ‘new’ Tarot clans. This is because Fool represents (as the zero, beginning the deck) the nascent stage of anything, the ‘when I was just a twinkle in the eye of my daddy’ phase.
.
Fool is also youthful and optimistic. The picture depicts that invulnerable feeling characteristic of young people: He disregards the cliff’s edge. Sometimes the phrase ‘water off a duck’s back’ suits Fool perfectly. He has faith nothing bad will happen to him. He assumes optimistically.
.
Fool owns the words assume, forget, and unknown – all three of them. Phrases like today’s ‘and never looked back’ and ‘parts unknown’ and ‘address unknown’ are part of that package.
–
Six of Cups – A warmly dressed little boy gives his little girlfriend flowers in front of some old homes. The picture says some of Six of Cups’ main terms: children and childhood, a safe neighborhood, home and the sweet life. You feel the warm fuzzy mellow tone of this Six of Cups card.
.
Six of Cups is not just childhood but fond old memories, nostalgia, the past, ‘old’ and old-fashioned. It is also trust, and being able to trust some person or scene. Today Six of Cups says ‘a good scene.’

…………..………….
…………………….
.
Six of Swords and
Fool are both, in different ways, out of a situation:
Six of Swords is leaving and putting it behind;
Fool was born free. Both these cards refer to consciousness, too:
Six of Swords can be about a journey in consciousness, even as a result of having died;
Fool represents the
subconscious or
superconscious.
.
Both
Six of Cups and
Fool are associated with youth. It’s obvious with
Six of Cups:
two kids are its illustration.
Fool does show a
young person too, but it often applies to the youthful qualities of
ignoring hazards,
reckless living, and
assuming nothing bad can happen and all is well with the world: that kind of
optimism.
Six of Cups is more about
the innocence of youth, the
sweet life of
childhood,
memories of the
distant past.
.
Both
Six of Swords and
Fool are on journeys.
Six of Swords is
leaving one situation for a better one, is on the way somewhere.
Fool is simply
taking a walk – not leaving anything nor headed anyplace.
.
Now let’s see how the same two cards can mean opposites if you have no context (no question, no surrounding cards to comment or modify):
(1)
Six of Swords means ‘
off I go into’ and also means ‘
leaves.’
Six of Cups is
domestic bliss, and is
the nest.
Off I go into
domestic bliss.
Leaves
the nest.
(2)
Six of Swords means
moving on, and also means
leaving something behind now that you’re over it.
Fool means
a new phase, and it means
freedom too. So here we go:
Moving on to
a new better phase.
My days of
freedom
are over.
.
Six of Swords is
getting free, is
withdrawing from its environment to enter a new and better phase.
Fool is
feeling no pain, and
Six of Swords is
getting over theirs.
Both
Six of Swords and
Fool refer to good times ahead (
optimism) in different ways:
Six of Swords is putting some bad times behind and the future is better because the past is terrible;
Fool is simply
free of taking the physical realm too seriously.
Six of Swords and
Fool are also both
free of (Fool) or
getting free of (Six of Swords). They both can refer to a new phase, with
Six of Swords phasing out of one thing and into another, and
Fool
starting something new.
.
Six of Swords and
Six of Cups will usually be about one of two things:
leaving a bad scene for a good scene (which is
Six of Swords’ full meaning, with
Six of Cups underlining it);
moving on to
a good romance,
a cozy life (or home), and
life will be sweet
from now on, OR the reverse:
leaving
the safe place,
not being
a kid
anymore, and
life will be sweet
from now on after all (you) have been through.
.
Fool and
Six of Cups drop any negative connotation, in the absence of
Six of Swords’ meanings. You are now reading two very positive Tarot cards. Phrases like these belong to this pair:
happy
in that neighborhood,
optimistic about
my children,
the wild blue yonder of
domestic bliss,
assume
home life is sweet, have
faith and
trust,
that was then and
this is now, a
new optimism about
home life. The nearest this pair comes to a negative thought is
Fool’s ‘
forget’ or ‘
forget about’ phrase appended to any of
Six of Cups meanings – like
forget about
your childhood.

Your subconscious awareness sees the image and its feeling and your conscious awareness sees the language meaning, the text… so your two minds focus together to see 3D, three dimensionally, the same way your two eyes see depth that one eye does not.

Nine of Pentacles
It’s noon already and you are in your vineyard training your falcon, and wearing an elaborate leisure robe with matching hat … clearly beholden to no one, with that snail at your feet emphasizing that message. This illustration personifies the independent single woman who owns her space, and is likely to successful in her own right, likely to own land and/or a business, and to have an entrepreneurial bent. “I don’t need nobody” is her song. She is famous for minding her own business and having business to mind. Nine of Pentacles is one of the cards that indicates a ‘don’t call me, I’ll call you’ personality or situation.
Privacy belongs to Nine of Pentacles, and being detached. Nine of Pentacles is content and (like Queen of Wands) has an organized and under-control daily life. Nine of Pentacles could be a head-screwed-on-straight woman of the ghetto who develops a skill and has made a life for herself right there. Nine of Pentacles has a niche – is often an expert or specialist at something or another. She is a survivor. She is respected. Think Jackie Kennedy.

Fool
It takes us a while to ‘get’ Fool in all his ramifications. Think “Oh, never mind.” I come to the conclusion that you can start with the concept of zero being the place-holder of the number system: It has no value of its own, and no ‘presence’ in that sense, but it affects and even determines the value of its neighbor numbers. Fool translates ‘nothing’ and similar words to that, and often expresses the absence of something – phrases like these: no worry, not in, not at, there are no, forget, don’t know, no idea, don’t care, hasn’t a clue, without even thinking, pays no attention. Of course, these phrases arise also from Fool being heedless about that cliff.
In a philosophical spread, or one that is scholarly in some way, Fool can be the theory or hypothesis. Fool can also be the zygote, the fertilized egg, the potential or potentiality.
Fool expresses things you would say with a shrug – sentiments like ‘somehow or another’ or ‘however.’
Fool also exemplifies youth: the heedless optimism, the fact it starts the number system.
Another significant side of Fool is the optimism, the devil-may-care attitude of skipping to the edge of a cliff or going on a journey without provisions dressed in a miniskirt. A key word here for Fool is ‘free.’ Free-spirited, free of (whatever), ‘water off a duck’s back.’ Fool is a beginning too (as the first number in the lexicon of them).

Six of Cups
This Six of Cups Tarot card has a lot of applications, a lot of phrases and meanings, that the illustration suggests. Once you get used to all or most of them, it’s a useful card because of the way it does blend and bring out the meanings of other cards. So Six of Cups is very much affected by its Tarot neighbors. Today, Fool brings out the aspects of youth and lighthearted good feeling, and Nine of Pentacles emphasizes its aspects of home and stable life.
First you see children in Six of Cups, and that includes childhood and being young or even youthful.
And you see the romance aspect, the tender love: Little Boy is Giving Little Girl Flowers. That ‘giving’ also brings gifts and giving to Six of Cups, and the giving especially applies to birthdays and Valentine’s Day.
It’s not just romance: Six of Cups covers friends and friendship. Since Six of Cups also refers to the past in a nostalgic sentimental way, it’s often old friends and old lovers – the high school sweetheart.
Yes, the past. The good old days especially. Fond memories.
The housing behind the children brings in a real estate theme and a home theme. Especially old, quaint, cozy houses, houses in a good neighborhood, or in a good neighborhood for children. Home Sweet Home stuff. Mellow home life. Gestures of affection.
Sweetness plays a large role in applying Six of Cups. Especially trust – being trustworthy, being a nice girl, nice boy. Six of Cups sometimes appears to tell you you can trust someone, or that you can trust a situation – that it is safe or at least harmless.
Six of Cups has a very strong mellowing influence in its spreads. It takes a lot of negative to apply it to something icky. You find themes of child abuse will use Sun instead for the child, even.

Now Without The Pictures

Six of Cups is the past and Fool is the beginning; both are youth. Six of Cups is the good old days and Fool is optimism for the moment.
Fool and Nine of Pentacles are both detached, free in their own space, but Fool is free of the space and Nine of Pentacles owns her space. Fool is heedless and reckless and Nine of Pentacles is the person who made a place for herself by being savvy.
Nine of Pentacles is the single solitary private life of a professional, and Six of Cups is the children that life does not include. Both Six of Cups and Nine of Pentacles are about a satisfying home and home life. They are both content with things as they are.
As you can see, this spread is alive with meaning, alive with stories. In the first set of sentences, Fool demonstrates how it frees up a person or a situation, and not necessarily frees from a circumstance that is unsavory. “Free and independent when I was a kid,” for example. And ‘Now that I’m single, I forget and have a really affectionate love life.’ But Fool does mean free from some less-desirable state. Here are a few examples of that, also taken from the first set of sentences: “Get out from under home ownership and live in the old neighborhood.” “Free of the past and comfortable right where I am.” And these three cards could advise: Don’t even think about being a single woman with children.
Nine of Pentacles is ‘Mind your own business’ and Fool is ‘Don’t worry, be happy.’ Together, they advise that the way to be content in life is to stay out of other people’s.
I bet you can make some stories of your own with today’s material.

Moon
Sun – Fool – Six of Cups
LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING
Sun and Fool and Six of Cups We begin with three lighthearted optimistic upbeat Rider Waite Tarot cards, all young, all spring or summer sunny days … and along comes ‘The Worst Card in the Deck,’ in any deck to rain on our happy parade.
Sun is the kid who gets out of the house for some fun in the sun, who gets out from under supervision (restriction). He is uninhibited, impulsive, reckless, funloving, heedless. He can be the callous playboy and the brat.
Fool is also uninhibited, young, heedless and reckless, and he also is on a lark leaving. Fool is lighthearted and optimistic. He is starting anew, beginning a liberated phase of life.
Six of Cups is the sweet life we had, or imagined we had, as children, or sometime in our storied past. It is nostalgia, a good scene, a romance, a trusting relationship, the good old days, a good life.
Sun and Six of Cups Sun and Six of Cups both refer to a house. Sun is leaving it as a place of restrictions, and Six of Cups is loving every minute of it. These two are also the ‘children’ cards of the deck. Sun is the brat and Six of Cups is the good little boy and girl.
Sun and Moon both can be a cruel person. Sun is a callous just-wanna-have-fun kind of cruel, and Moon is malicious or vicious potentially.
Sun and Fool Sun and Fool are both free. Sun is free of restrictions, and Fool was born free.

Sun Sun is the kid who gets out of the house for some fun in the sun, who gets out from under supervision (restriction). He is uninhibited, impulsive, reckless, funloving, heedless. He can be the callous playboy and the brat. He endangers himself: See the look on that pony’s face, and the tilt of its ears? The stuff we get away with when we are young!

Fool Fool is also uninhibited, young, heedless and reckless, and he also is on a lark leaving. Fool is lighthearted and optimistic. He is starting over, beginning a liberated phase of life. There he is prancing on the edge of a cliff with his equally heedless doggie. But one of its meanings is to not be, to not be present, and the deeper meaning of Fool is that, living ‘out there’ on the spiritual planes, your life is free and charmed on this physical one – which is true in some ways.

Six of Cups is the sweet life we had, or imagined we had, as children or in a magical time in our past. It is nostalgia, a good scene, a romance, a trusting relationship, the good old days, a good life. It refers to children literally, of course. This is the girl-type loving trusting cottage-with-picket-fence romance.

Moon The two towers in this scene have an ominous meaning in occultism, and the scene is ‘The Left-Hand Path’ of evil. The lobster is going on a land journey; the dog and the coyote, natural enemies, are hanging out together. Chaos. It has very few appetizing meanings. Moon is terrible, horrible, the worst of times, suffering, being lost, hurt and hurting, vicious and malicious, bad mistake, wrong, disease and hopelessness, insanity, decrepit condition, hate, trouble, how bad things get, abusive. Even with these particular happy cards, its dankness predominates. But there are cards that take the edge off Moon, just not here today, darn it.

Tarot Verbatim
Guidance refers to the joys of having and not having children, the freedom of solitude, the comfort of being in your own home, as well as how you were when you were a child. A person has enough, stays home minding his/her own business, and doesn’t need any more friends, has lots of old friends. This privacy and independence combined with comfort and good memories of the past is our theme today. Sometimes a young man prefers the company of such a woman set in her ways where drama dare not tread. She may give him gifts but ignore his calls.

Six of Cups
Fool – Nine of Pentacles – Eight of Wands
LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING
.
The story is about having
or not having children
, about being free
and independent
since childhood
, about being young
, and about being a woman who doesn’t need a fellow
so he has to be sweet to her
. Those are the immediate stories you see.
Both Nine of Pentacles and Six of Cups involve a house or home. With Nine of Pentacles being the business owner, she could own houses.
Both Fool and Six of Cups are about youth. With Six of Cups being romance too, we could be talking about a sweet young man romancing a successful businesswoman.
Fool and Eight of Wands are not being there when that was discussed, being free in every way, not talking about something. Fool is to not be present, to be free, to not (whatever). Eight of Wands is talk or discussion, many or plural – ‘in every way.’
Fool and Nine of Pentacles are both free (unencumbered by other people). Nine of Pentacles emphasizes being independent, having a place of your own. Fool emphasizes being free and mobile. Nine of Pentacles is entrepreneurial, but Fool is footloose-and-fancy-free.
.
LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Fool A spur-of-the-moment outing, a picnic in the park with your pet, let the world turn without you, who cares? Blithe footloose-and-fancy-free, free and young. The deeper meaning is that in spiritual maturity you are oblivious to the limitations of the physical environment, that being unattached to your own best interest leads to some silly living from the view of standard-equipment consciousness.

Nine of Pentacles has her niche of freedom she has carved out in the physical world. She may be retired from the rat race. She is free to do as she pleases all by herself in her very own home. She don’t need nobody. This is the girl friend who is not calling him and not catering to his ploys. Don’t ask her for a loan, she don’t know ya. She is a successful businesswoman who is living a life of leisure, or is a woman who is acting as if she were.

Eight of Wands Sticks flying in the air match some the meanings of this card well. Visualize them as lines on a page for text or documents. The meanings of fast and quickly fit that illustration. The plural meanings fit. One thing after another and accumulating or accretion are not much of a fit, since the sticks were released at the same time and are still airborne. Eight of Wands often means talking or communication. Texting, too.

Six of Cups Home Sweet Home is a good title for this picture, which matches Nine of Pentacles’ cocooning mood too. Little Boy gives Little Girl flowers: children, childhood, romance, gift given or received, quaint and/or old house or estate, the comfort of a peaceful loving home life. The past, someone from the past, good memories, nostalgia, sentimentality, a birthday.

Our Daily Spread
Guidance The high points of life are frequently unexpected and short-lived, catch-as-catch can, and best enjoyed as they come. Although we think of children and childhood as being free and fun, often it’s when a grownup gets over childhood that the fun starts. Love affairs are another example of an unexpected enjoyment that may be short lived and be something we get over and enjoy again in retrospect.
Are YOU here for the first time? Come in! People love this place! Full instructions are at the bottom.
Guidance and the Tarot Readings are for you if you just want your daily look ahead. “Guidance” is the summary, followed by your word for word Tarot Readings from the four Rider Waite Tarot cards you see pictured here. Pick the sentences that you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them. Sentences contradict one another because negative cards, in this group reading with no question, can attach to any of the other three cards.

Let’s just get it over with and go ahead with this warm fuzzy vibe.
I assumed that was over, but my old flame is back.
This romantic encounter is not as spontaneous as it seems.
It’s been really sweet, but let’s just leave when it’s over.
Act as if we are young and in love, and this is not just a fling.
Not like in the past … it’s no longer just a fling or just for fun.
Tarot Readings: Can’t Forget (Death + Fool)
Can’t forget the fun we had when we were young and in love.
Am not with the one I love, so I am not enjoying life.
Left … isn’t here … not home.
Still in love after it’s over? Get free somehow.
Tarot Readings: Childish (Sun)
He is free to have his fun and not be loved.
Don’t be in love with him, he is just a boy toy.
Isn’t a brat, but isn’t a sweet kid either.
He’s not a playboy, he’s just romantic.
You can’t trust someone who is childish and hasn’t a clue.
He/she lives as if ‘the rules do not apply to me’ and is not a kind person.
No longer in the neighborhood but he won’t get away with it.
Is not innocent but got away with it and is a free man.
Tarot Readings: Children at Home (Six of Cups + Sun)
Don’t worry about the baby’s not going outside.
The kid has no thought of, and is not, leaving home.
Just because you ignore the kids doesn’t mean they go away.
You’re not free when you have kids, you’re home.
When you don’t want kids, they pop up when you’re unguarded.
When you have kids, you can’t leave home on the spur of the moment.
Sun
Six of Cups, Death, Fool
LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING
Right off the bat, you probably notice the two cards that mean children are here. Six of Cups is children, childhood, romance, sweet life, memories, the past, sentimental and nostalgic memories. Sun is child, childish, reckless, fun, free of restrictions, playboy or brat.
(Death incidentally shows a child in its illustration.)
Fool can mean youth, lighthearted free-spirited, feckless and oblivious behavior, not knowing or forgetting, subconscious, free and freedom and not being present. That makes three out of four of the Tarot cards be about youth, and about enjoying life.
Fool and Sun are both uninhibited, spontaneous, frisky, heedless of dangers. Both are young and having fun.
Whenever you have Death, you have a floating negative modifier … which makes things interesting. Here Death + Fool = ‘Not Free’ and Sun means ‘free.’ in the same sentence. Six of Cups + Death means ‘not a child’ and Sun means ‘child’ in the same sentence.
Forget the past and be free: That is a main part of our messages today. The enjoyment of life is our main focus.

Six of Cups A little boy gives a little girl a bouquet. The artwork on this card is sweet and sentimental. They are well-dressed and the two large buildings could be an estate or an apartment complex. Six of Cups is about children, childhood, sweet innocent romantic doings and memories of same. It is also about gifts, especially romantic ones or birthday gifts. |

Death in Tarot Verbatim™ is a negative modifier, often the word ‘not.’ (It almost never means the things it does in other systems.) It also means the end or ‘it’s over.’ Without a question that introduces death as a subject, or other cards that introduce it, it does not mean physical death of a living being, although it can be an adjective like ‘dead issue’ or ‘the past is dead.’

‘Fool is free of the physical – either by being reckless or oblivious, or by being so focused on the spiritual that the physical world isn’t quite there for a person. It represents subconscious or superconsciousness by virtue of the ‘being out there’ category of meanings. It means to be absent from. It means youth, optimism, lightheartedness, and heedlessness as well. Yes, he is about to skip over a cliff with his pet, but it can’t happen to him ….

Sun The little boy sneaks out to play bareback on a wicked pony in the back yard. He is having fun for the moment, and this is reckless endangerment. This card can represent the callous playboy of ‘I just wanna have fun’ or the pleasurable relief of finally having some time off.
I N S T R U C T I O N S & Explanations (Comments are below this.)
Did you come here just for your predictions? – If so, you are done when you finish reading the sentences of Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading.
Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that .
Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)
Horoscopes are group readings too.
Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)
Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please?
Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things, especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.
Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.
The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.
Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Tarot without trying. The Tarot Talks tab has some examples for students.

Romantic Perspective
She assumes she is getting the loving relationship she expects.
He is in love with this demanding lady instinctively delivering the sweetness she expects.
He’s just a really sweet kid having a relationship with such a bitch.
For no reason at all, whenever she is mad with him, he does his part so sweetly.
She has no idea she is in a triangle relationship, she would be mad.
She does not care whether she gets any flowers, she wants him to pay the mortgage.
He has no idea she is irritated with him, he assumes he is doing his part sweetly.
Oh, whatever it is she wants and isn’t getting, give her flowers and that’s doing your part.
As far as she is concerned, he is there to cater to her needs in this relationship, that’s all.
She’s just having a cranky day, that’s all: Our relationship is storybook.
She wants children, all he wants is a relationship.
She has no idea of having children in this relationship.
Business Perspective
It’s a deal: (We) just gave them their demand.
A meeting about the child’s case: They have no theory. The mother is stressed.
Doing business is a breeze: You give demanding people good service.
Forget about getting the asking price on the contract on the old house.
She is mad about his meeting with the old flame, and he is oblivious to that.
Children Perspective
She has nice children because she is a mean mama. They just do what is expected, and don’t know any better.
She disciplines the children so lovingly they do their part without even thinking about it.
Mama thought we had a deal on a grandchild.
You may as well give the grumpy old lady what she thinks is her fair share.
Your old mama assumes you still have the relationship you did when you were a kid.
When we get together with the mother-in-law she acts as if (he) is still her little kid.
Your kids annoy her, so she ignores them and transacts just with you.
The settlement is for the children, they ignore the adult woman’s complaint.
Friendship Perspective
They meet as old friends and don’t care about her criticism.
The old lady has been friends such a long time she is oblivious to what’s fair.
I guess it’s fair enough to give an dear friend what she is expecting.
Friends don’t even think of whether an exchange is fair or not and feel shortchanged!

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD
An exchange (even a contract or business deal) is the way we start. Three of Pentacles. Then we have giving generously, affectionately, Six of Cups – an old friend and sweetness. Then we have being oblivious or not keeping track, just … Fool. Then the critical grumpy shortchanged demanding mother-in-law, mama or old woman who is keeping track. So it’s all about an exchange.
Youth is in both Six of Cups and Fool. An exchange is in both Three of Pentacles and Six of Cups.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS
…

Three of Pentacles It’s a deal, it’s a relationship in which each party does his fair share. It’s a settlement. It’s final payment as agreed. It’s a contract. It’s a meeting, almost always of three people. We put our heads together. Our illustration shows the architect demonstrating to the clients that the building meets the blueprints, to qualify for his payoff.

Six of Cups We have a friendly exchange. A sweet relationship as of old friends in an old-fashioned way. Giving sweetly and generously out of the heart. Photo of Little Boy giving Little Girl flowers. The good old days hauntingly.

Fool So who’s keeping track – not me, I don’t care. Just let it be. Don’t even think about it. Assume. May as well be oblivious, having no idea like a free-spirited youth. Just for no reason at all instinctually. What, me worry? – I am just skipping along by the cliff with my trusty equally playful and oblivious puppy, and all will be well.

Queen of Swords Here’s who’s keeping track. The old lady is dissatisfied and grumpy about being slighted and shortchanged here. She demands things be rectified and she get what’s rightfully hers, or what she thinks is rightfully hers … now would be good. There’s the righteous old lady with her hand out and that Nurse Ratchett look on her face. She is the bitch card, the mother, the mother-in-law, the plaintiff or complainant. She is you when you are righteously indignant.
