Guidance

Life changes things. It’s off the road, back on the road, and next thing you know, it’s back off again. Oh the things we swear, and we promise ourselves, we will never do again … or never fail to do next time. ‘Never say never,’ we say. Dodging being in love and not talking about it because, well, the next face I save may very well be my own.

WITHOUT THE PICTURES For the true seeker of Tarot knowledge, here is what you need to know about how the three cards in today’s spread affect one another, and how to apply Tarot Verbatim™. Here too the cards come alive, together.

WHERE EACH PHRASE COMES FROM At a glance, with a color for each card, your subconscious picks up on how the sentences of GROUP TAROT CARDS READING came to be. You feel how individual card meanings reach out and blend, unite, into a sentence. (You can learn this – yes, you!) Your subconscious awareness sees the image and its feeling and your conscious awareness sees the language meaning, the text… so your two minds focus together to see 3D, three dimensionally, the same way your two eyes see depth that one eye does not.

PHRASES FOR ALL THREE TWO CARD COMBINATIONS Are you ready for the final step of this revolutionary Tarot Verbatim™ technique? Now to make it exceedingly plain and simple, we list the expressions each pair of cards makes. We list them in paragraph form rather than itemized so that they flow, and your subconscious clicks into place and ‘gets it.’ You may even find flashes of dreams or intuitive realities as you read these, at times.

The Rider Waite Tarot™ deck is a data bank in mass consciousness that your subconscious can communicate with. Tarot Verbatim™ is the Rosetta Stone that makes that communication easy because it is a bridge between conscious and subconscious thought. When both your levels of awareness focus together, you think intuitively in real time in ‘the real world.’

Bon voyage!

Synopsis

Something that feels good can both draw and repel a person when there’s some factor that urges us to quit. To quit feeling good … that’s against nature – at least it’s against our human nature. So we find ourselves feeling silly going round and round, off and on, with some of our pleasures.

Eight of Cups

Eight of Cups

Eight of Cups is taking leave, derailing, or even abruptly dropping one thing or direction for another. There’s a presumption … not always honored … in Eight of Cups that the pilgrim (Yes, that’s a pilgrim.) will resume course, that his path is in a detour around the mountain and its river. Eight of Cups aborts course, drops out, or decides to go another way. Eight of Cups often says ‘outta here.’

It’s important to note the new and full moons conjoined there. That is a symbol of beginning-and-ending, so you find Eight of Cups referring to ‘it’s over with before it starts,’ and ‘stillborn’ and dropping out of one life path and into another … and the card is neutral, not labeling the change good or bad.

Keep in mind Eight of Cups says ‘not anymore,’ and often there’s another card’s word in the middle, splitting ‘not’ and ‘anymore’ up – like Eight of Cups and Star saying ‘I don’t love you anymore.’

Two of Pentacles

Two of Pentacles

Two of Pentacles’ many applications often include cycles and/or a continuing process. Those plates or balls he juggles go back and forth, up and down, and round and round in a continuing process that is stable. On the other hand, the ships tossing on impossible waves are going up and down in a very unstable, very iffy, process. So the emphasis is on the motion, the continuation, and it applies to either (or both) nice settled routines, or highly unstable ones.

Besides all that, Two of Pentacles’ getup brings in comedy, silliness, being a goofball, and that sort of scene.

Star

Star

Star is performing a bath ceremony and singing. The feeling-good of the bath is part of Star, and the singing brings all those say/tell/speak words that are a theme, one of the tribe-meanings in Tarot Verbatim™. Star also is a shapely woman. Enthusiasm is evident in this illustration. Those factors get together to make Star confess love, say ‘I love you.’

Now Without The Pictures

Eight of Cups abandons course, changes abruptly, or switches onto a new way unexpectedly. He is about diverting but going back to. Next to him is Two of Pentacles who also goes round and round and back and forth, maybe feeling a little silly about that even while doing it. Star tells us this is about love, about feeling good, about something thrilling or an enthusiasm.

Put it all together, and this describes those times we find ourselves quitting but resuming … like going on a diet or swearing to yourself you won’t drink just before you go to bed … and you don’t … for at least four days. ‘Not anymore’ belongs to Eight of Cups.

Star is about being in love and feeling good all over, so in a pinch it can refer to a lover when it really is about the experience you have with that person – the joy. So this spread is also about the back-and-forths we do in our love lives.

Why did we have to bring that up, anyway?.

Tarot Verbatim Lesson February 20-21, 2016 Weekend©

.……. …………………..………..

Eight of Cups – Two of Pentacles – Star

.

HERE ARE THE WORDS THESE CARDS ARE SAYING IN THIS SPREAD.

.

.

Here are Eight of Cups’ phrases and words: it’s off; re-routed; no more; getting nowhere; going out of my way; I’m getting out in time; go out of my way; run off the road; not; leave ’em; dodging; it’s no longer; I won’t do that anymore; to quit; quit; I won’t; and then disappears; I don’t anymore; shut up; all of a sudden; and then you’re over it; I won’t do that; disruptions.

.

.

Here are today’s main translates, by category, for Eight of Cups:

.

DISRUPTIONS, NOT ANYMORE, QUIT: it’s off; no more; run off the road; not; it’s no longer; to quit; quit; I won’t do that anymore; I won’t; and then disappears; I don’t anymore; shut up; I won’t do that; disruptions

DETOUR, ROAD ISSUES: re-routed; getting nowhere; going out of my way; go out of my way;

ABORTING COURSE, AVOIDING, GETTING OUT: dodging; I’m getting out in time; leave ’em

SUDDEN, UNEXPECTED: all of a sudden;

ESCAPE, OVER IT: and then you’re over it

.

Eight of Cups spreads a wide net in its fairly narrow concept of dropping one thing for another, and ducking out. Disruptions are its main course, because you see the pilgrim having to detour away from his path because of insurmountable obstacles: a river and a mountain.

So Eight of Cups is about aborting course. Actually Eight of Cups is about aborting anything, dropping out, escaping, quitting without notice, and ‘it’s over before it begins.’

Eight of Cups is one of several cards that in Tarot Verbatim™ mean suddenly, abruptly, the nick of time, before you know it, and other such unforeseen switches and changes.

You find Eight of Cups supporting a recovery theme – ‘and then you’re over it.’ Judgment is the main card for recovery.

.

.

ILLUSTRATION:  What brings up these cobbled-together ‘leave’ meanings in such detail? – a pilgrim whose pilgrimage has to detour around a mountain. It’s understood he will resume course, but that is a sometimes meaning for this Rider Waite Tarot card.

.

.

.

Here are Two of Pentacles’ phrases and words: again; re-; back-and-forth; round and round; all over again; next time; often; on a curve; can go either way; over and over; one more time; I keep doing it; I keep; and they just keep doing it; the silly stuff; next time; he keeps; sometimes; again; it’s one after another; maybe next time; goes on.

.

.

Here are today’s main translates, by category, for Two of Pentacles:

.

REPEATEDLY: again; re-; all over again; next time; often; over and over; one more time; sometimes; again; it’s one after another; maybe next time;

MOVEMENTS: back-and-forth; round and round; on a curve;

CONTINUING: I keep doing it; I keep; and they just keep doing it; he keeps; goes on.

SILLY: the silly stuff;

ALTERNATIVE: can go either way;

.

.

ILLUSTRATION: A performer (Two of Pentacles is one of the performing arts cards.) juggles pentacles connected by the infinity (repeating numbers) math sign. His costume includes what people today see as a dunce cap, and it’s kinda goofy. He dances while he juggles. Ships toss on destructive waves behind him.

You can see how this card belongs to ‘movement.’ You can see how it’s certainly about continuing, and ‘repeatedly,’ ‘over and over,’ and ‘next’ is part of continuing.

All the ‘silly’ meanings he has spring from his getup.

Another application arising from the back-and-forth movements is alternatives and pairs – such as either-or, one way or the other, off and on, and other such paired alternatives.

A main meaning we neglect today is instability. He dances while he juggles, which is stability for sure, but the ships tossing on gargantuan waves behind him – and maybe his could-go-either-way category of meanings – contribute the instability of potential mishaps.

Another meaning we haven’t specifically mentioned is cycles. Two of Pentacles is the lead card for cycles. For instance, if you ask about time (which is a cycle), this card will indicate it’s one after the other. If you asked days, it will mean one day after another, and the same for weeks, months and years. Watch for it to indicate whatever you asked about is cyclic. (Loverboy or lovergirl is gonna be cyclic in some way: mood, stability, disappears and reappears, etc.

.

.

.

Here are Star’s phrases and words: and I’m delighted; the news is; I’m in love with you; I admit it; because it makes me feel good; I say; for what makes me happy/feel good; you call; crazy about you; love ’em; falling in love; pleasurable; promising myself; told them; I swear; say ‘I love you’; saying ‘I love you’; I love you; blabbermouth; I’m crazy in love; love; just say; the show (the performance).

.

.

Here are today’s main translates, by category, for Star:

.

FEELING GOOD ALL OVER: and I’m delighted; because it makes me feel good; for what makes me happy/feel good;pleasurable; pleasurable;

IN LOVE AND FEELING GOOD ABOUT IT: I’m in love with you; crazy about you; love ’em; falling in love; I love you; I’m crazy in love; love;

SAY/TELL/ANNOUNCE/SPEAK/TALK:* I admit it; I say; you call; promising myself; told them; I swear; say ‘I love you’; saying ‘I love you’; blabbermouth; just say; the news is;

PERFORMING ARTS: the show (the performance).

*THIS IS A MAIN THEME IN TAROT VERBATIM™

.

ILLUSTRATION: A shapely woman is outdoors by a little pool, pouring into both the pool and on the ground some liquid from matching jugs. She is kneeling and naked, and is singing. This is some religious ceremony that celebrates something.

Star is like singing in the shower: feeling good. Star is celebrating. Star is a beautiful curvy woman. Star is enthusiasm, being crazy about anything. Put it all together, and this is how you feel when you are in love. So Star is all about being in love, especially the first ‘rush’ part of being in love.

Tarot Readings for You for November 11, 2013 Monday© Veteran’s Day

Guidance     Here we have those arbitrary disruptions of what works by entities who have the power to do so: agencies, companies, etc. Our relentless theme today, Veteran’s Day, is this. Recall veterans whose lives are disrupted, sometimes frivolously and arbitrarily, and who are not paid fairly, maybe your father? Stupid power plays prevent what should be happening. The boss is upset when the wage slave walks out. “You continue giving him respect when he discontinues being a grownup” is my favorite.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.

‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow. The family of commenters here would love for you to join in (the very last thing, at the bottom).

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Two of Pentacles

Six of Pentacles – Eight of Cups – Emperor

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Here’s a story about disruption of the normal routine by a patriarchal power being arbitrary, sometimes a federal agency.

Six of Pentacles is the key Tarot card in this group. Six of Pentacles is receiving or paying what should be: an exchange, a fair exchange, often a commercial exchange, but it includes ‘attention,’ as in paying or receiving attention, and this includes respect. So paying your dues and receiving the respect or attention you deserve. (Yes, getting what you deserve.)

The fairness theme of Six of Pentacles extends to legal proceedings: See the scales of justice there? The word ‘dispense’ is called up sometimes, and so is ‘give,’ of course. The ‘dispense’ and ‘give’ meanings stretch to include prescription medications.

Next we have two cards that affect that fair exchange adversely: Eight of Cups is not going through, dropping or being suspended; Two of Pentacles is instability, a ‘maybe, maybe not’ situation, ups and downs, something goofy, an antic. Together, Eight of Cups and Two of Pentacles say things like ‘not going to keep that up,’ keeps getting distracted’ or even ‘keeps running off the road.’

But Two of Pentacles is also is also ongoing, a continuing routine or what is usual. It refers to a cycle, like monthly payments or seasons. That rubber band looking thingie connecting the plates he is juggling is a math sign that means repeating or continuing numbers; so it is called an eternity sign because it goes on forever. That is where we get the idea of the ongoing process from Two of Pentacles.

In Emperor, our story now involves some established stable foundational power, some rigid kingpin, a federal entity or government, a controlling male or patriarch, an old man (often a rigid controlling old man). Emperor is the boss of bosses, the highest authority, ‘the powers that be.’ That is how he is both God the Father and the federal government. The number four (Emperor is a four), esoterically, is about completion, the last stage, something entrenched that will not change anymore. That is where the picture of the rigid old man comes from. (But today he is surrounded by change.)

Emperor and Eight of Cups, as well as Emperor and Two of Pentacles, shave off the stability Emperor is usually about: Eight of Cups is an arbitrary shift, change or disruption of course and Two of Pentacles means instability – the opposite of what Emperor usually stands for. (So you have a silly old man, a power figure who is upsetting the apple cart, and so on.)

Six of Pentacles and Eight of Cups is ducking out on payments, suspension of funding, not paying respects or attention anymore, and disrupting litigation.

Six of Pentacles and Two of Pentacles are making periodic payments, regularly paying someone attention, ongoing lawsuit, and only sometimes treating person(s) right.

Six of Pentacles and Emperor is federal funding, paying the government, government in a lawsuit, a federal justice agency or collection agency (oh, FBI, DEA, Justice Department, etc. or IRS). It says Authority is doing right or treating people right (or a person).

This spread is another example of one without an action card, although the ‘exchange’ part of Six of Pentacles is a fairly good substitute.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

.

Six of Pentacles     is receiving or paying what should be: an exchange, a fair exchange, often a commercial exchange, but it includes paying or receiving attention, and this includes respect. So paying your dues and receiving the respect or attention you deserve. The fairness theme extends to legal proceedings: See the scales of justice there? The word ‘dispense’ is called up sometimes, and so is ‘give,’ of course, and even ‘dealt.’

The prescription theme arises from pills being dispensed to the persons who deserve them, and kind of arises from the word ‘treatment’ from ‘treating right.’ Remember, this system is word based, verbatim.

Its illustration shows the employer paying wages fairly, weighing the coins. The artist who drew this puts the employees on their knees wearing patched garments, hence ‘wage slaves.’ Pamela Coleman Smith was an unappreciated underpaid lady to the end of her days, so I think the artist is telling us something personal here?

Eight of Cups     is about disruption, failure to complete, walking out or dropping out, something being over with before it begins, or a detour. Its illustration shows a traveler on foot having to go in a different direction because the road doesn’t go that way. Disparate words are to be expected from it. Some of these words are: quit, detour, over with, interrupt or disrupt, off course, drop out or walk out, abrupt or abruptly, “Out of here,” didn’t make it, isn’t (whatever) anymore, renege, derailed, anymore, unexpectedly, ‘is not what it used to be,’ ‘isn’t the one who (whatever) anymore,’ and ‘suspend’ in the sense of ‘discontinue.’

Emperor     Da Boss, he is. In Emperor, our story now involves some power, some rigid kingpin, a federal entity or government, a controlling male or patriarch, an old man (often a rigid controlling old man). Love the face the artist draws for this influence:  The rigid posture combined with the look of dullness one gets when one feels one cannot be challenged.

Emperor is the feeling you have, or stance you have, when you are your own authority. Emperor is the foundational power structure, the Establishment, which does not have to be abusive but can get away with it. Emperor is also seniority and a veteran of … How appropriate because today is Veteran’s Day in the United States.

Two of Pentacles     pictures a juggler keeping the pentacle plates moving. The symbol of continual motion is drawn between those plates.  The juggler’s feet suggest dancing.  Behind him, ships are tossed up and down dizzyingly on rhythmic waves. He is wearing a dunce cap and green shoes with an orange outfit.

Here are some phrases this illustration produces: on and on, back and forth, round and round, wobble, shaky, goofy, queasy, dizzy, silly, oops, unstable, frivolous, arbitrary, oscillate, rolls in, continuing, keeps (being/doing/getting, whatever), phase, or phases in and out, continuing, routine, ongoing, operations, usual (whatever) or as usual, antics, roils.

Guidance   Oh, the drama of our love lives, and oh, the upheavals we experience in that department. Here is where we risk our mortal sanity, and sometimes our physical lives, as events take on a rhythm of their own, it seems. Escape from its drama is quite the trick. We feel the stings and comforts of love episodes years later.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in! People love this place!

Tarot Readings: Love, Love, Love (Two of Pentacles + Lovers)

Going out of my way to take another chance on love.

Partner quits taking one risk after another.

I quit the dangerous fun when I fell in love with you.

No more back and forth taking my chances: I’m in love with you.

After he loves you and leaves you, maybe he can take a chance on coming back?

The cycle of ‘one damn thing after another’ ends in your love life.

Knock off the silly stuff; you are putting your relationship at risk.

Abruptly contacts you … maybe there’s a chance (he) could come back?

Break the cycle of cheating lovers right now.

Am in the process of taking another chance at love.

Love has got the best of me as it comes and goes.

Tarot Readings: Love Does Me Dirt (Seven of Swords + Lovers)

Lover feels ‘You cheated me back’ when you walk away.

He is ever the bad-boy acting up, so it’s too late for that love relationship – he missed the boat.

Sleazes out over and over until a loving person feels abandoned.

After one too many double-crosses, I no longer love him/her.

Fooling around on both sides is the way our love relationship dead-ends.

My unfaithful lover keeps leaving and coming back.

Plays dirty in love relationship … round and round and getting nowhere.

Next time, I’m going to get out before another lover does me dirt.

Tarot Readings: Avoiding or Dodging Love (Eight of Cups + Lovers)

Dodging taking a chance on love one more time.

Fooling around just once more before I leave my lover.

Avoid hooking up with that person, it could be risky.

One lover after another until I no longer fool around with anyone.

We aren’t together any more, and he is in the process of becoming a criminal.

Tarot Readings: Cut off Contact (Eight of Cups + Lovers)

Avoid direct contact when someone keeps trying to trick you.

You got one more chance to get away before you get ripped off by someone you are in contact with.

The person you cut off contact with may be a part-time criminal.

You cut off contact with someone over foolhardy risky behavior.

When they have no ties, no connections with anyone, they may be suspect.

Miscellaneous Tarot Reading

Short-circuiting a connection can be dangerous.

Tarot Readings: No longer in the Partnership (Eight of Cups + Lovers)

He doesn’t quite make partner because he was violating some rules.

He is on his way out of the partnership involuntarily.

We are no longer affiliated with the habitual criminal.

Lovers

Seven of Swords – Two of Pentacles – Eight of Cups

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Frankie and Johnny here (but I left the murder part out of our daily group readings). Today Lovers mostly means lovers, with a sprinkling of ‘partner’ and contact or connection. It is the star card, the one the others center around in our story.

Seven of Swords makes Lovers ‘cheating lover(s).’ It is also about criminal, danger, risk and risky, taking a chance, betrayal or double-cross. It would be the assault and murder card too, which, as I said, I have disregarded here. (It is not a card of death, strangely.)

Two of Pentacles is going back and forth, going through a process or routine, repeated action or behavior, a cycle, comes and goes, and silliness. The silliness picks up the recklessness and ‘taking a chance’ of Seven of Swords.

Eight of Cups is to leave, quit, ‘knock it off,’ abandon, drop out, no longer, avoid, and so on. With Two of Pentacles being a process, we have ‘not quite leave,’ and ‘avoid (whatever) before’ – in other words, incomplete action, incomplete leaving.

So this is the drama of what can happen and does happen in our love lives.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Seven of Swords shows a daring fellow carrying off the enemies’ weapons in broad daylight … with the blades in his bare hands. A special ops fellow. This Rider Waite Tarot card in Tarot Verbatim (TM) speaks of risky (and possibly self-defeating) behavior, double-cross, thievery and assault and murder and other criminal behaviors. It is about taking a chance.
Two of Pentacles Here is a juggler doing his routine, dancing while he keeps the plates moving, wearing a goofy costume. Ships are tossing on mountainous waves behind him. This Tarot card in Tarot Verbatim(TM) means: going back and forth, going through a process or routine, repeated action or behavior, a cycle, comes and goes, and silliness.
Eight of Cups Abrupt anything. Off of one and onto another, possibly to return to the abandoned path. The pilgrim is forced, in the illustration, to follow the terrain that takes him off course. Eight of Cups embraces: to leave, quit, ‘knock it off,’ abandon, drop out, no longer, avoid, and so on.
Lovers has several branches of meaning, normally. Today, not so much. It shows Adam and Eve, the couple of lovers. The only meanings that aren’t about lovers that we use today are: affiliated, partnership, connection, contact, and together.

I N S T R U C T I O N S  &  Explanations

(Comments are below this.)

Did you come here just for your predictions? – If so, you are done when you finish reading the sentences of Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading.

Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that .

Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)

Horoscopes are group readings too.

Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)

Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please?

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.

Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute.  Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.

The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing. This tells the thinking regarding the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the message.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  This is the meaning of each separate card.  This is how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Tarot without trying. The Tarot Talks tab has some examples for students.

P. S. Call Emily for your personal live reading at 800 99 3 6 9 12 (from Eastern 1 p. m. to Eastern 1 a. m. at least, every day). Emily analyzes relationships in business situations and personal situations accurately from *Tarot, *intuitive, and *practical perspectives. MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

Well, there’s no iota of romance today!  Four independent Rider Waite Tarot citizens here make a story about disruption of the usual routine,  and a power is being arbitrary,  sometimes a federal agency.  Here’s how:

Six of Pentacles is receiving or paying what should be:  an exchange,  a fair exchange,  often a commercial exchange,  but it includes  ‘attention,’  as in paying or receiving attention,  and this includes respect.  So paying your dues and receiving the respect or attention you deserve.  The fairness theme extends to legal proceedings:  See the scales of justice there?  The word  ‘dispense’  is called up sometimes,  and so is  ‘give,’  of course.  Six of Pentacles is the key Tarot card in this group.

Next we have two cards that affect that fair exchange adversely:  Eight of Cups is not going through,  dropping or being suspended;  Two of Pentacles is  ‘Oops,’  something goofy or arbitrary,  is an antic,  and it is also a continuing routine or what is usual.

In Emperor,  our story now involves some power,  some rigid kingpin,  a federal entity or government,  a controlling male or patriarch,  an old man (often a rigid controlling old man).  This made some of the sentences hard to phrase.

This spread is another example of one without an action card,  although the  ‘exchange’  part of the Six of Pentacles is a fairly good substitute.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Six of Pentacles is receiving or paying what should be:  an exchange,  a fair exchange,  often a commercial exchange,  but it includes  ‘attention,’  as in paying or receiving attention,  and this includes respect.  So paying your dues and receiving the respect or attention you deserve.  The fairness theme extends to legal proceedings:  See the scales of justice there?  The word  ‘dispense’  is called up sometimes,  and so is  ‘give,’  of course,  and even  ‘dealt.’

The prescription theme arises from pills being dispensed to the persons who deserve them,  and kind of arises from the word  ‘treatment’  from  ‘treating right.’  Remember,  this system is verbatim.

Its illustration shows the employer paying wages fairly, weighing the coins.  The artist who drew this puts the employees on their knees,  hence ‘wage slaves.’  Pamela Coleman Smith was an unappreciated underpaid lady to the end of her days,  so I think she is telling us something personal here?

Eight of Cups is about disruption,  failure to complete,  walking out or dropping something,  over with before it begins,  detour.

Emperor is also seniority and a veteran of … How appropriate because today is Veteran’s Day.

Two of Pentacles pictures a juggler keeping the pentacles moving,  a symbol of continual motion drawn between them.  His feet suggest dancing.  Behind him,  ships are tossed up and down dizzyingly on rhythmic waves.  He is wearing a dunce cap and green shoes with an orange outfit.  Here are some phrases this illustration produces:  on and on,  back and forth,  round and round,  wobble,  shaky,  goofy,  queasy,  dizzy,  silly,  oops,  unstable,  frivolous,  squirrely,  arbitrary,  oscillate,  rolls in,  continuing,  keeps (being/doing/getting, whatever),  phase or phases in and out,  continuing,  routine, ongoing,  operations,  usual (whatever) or as usual,  antics,  roils.
